My First KDrama
This was the first KDrama I’ve completed. And it’s a great introduction to Korean entertainment. I loved loved loved this show!The Story and the acting is so much fun to watch!
I thought I loved Su-ho, but then I fell even more deeply for Seo-Jun. That’s what a great second male lead can do!
All of the main characters are brilliant though, but it doesn’t stop there. The main female lead, Joo-kyung, her family is also hilarious and have there own great subplots. I personally have a soft spot for her sister Hee-Kyung. And maybe her love story plot is a little untraditional with her taking the more dominant role, but that just made me love her all the more.
I would watch this drama again and I would highly recommend it to others.

Adorei esse drama, meu primeiro drama com meu marido Cha EunWoo. Mas o drama não é sobre um triângulo amoroso e sim sobre o bullying da Lin Ju. Achei extremamente importante, mas acho que os demais problemas adolescentes me deixou meio que com preguiça, vai ser difícil eu assistir um drama adolescente de novo.Por que precisa ter 500 caracteres?😭

Lets start with a good note their acting all of the actors were just amazingPersonally I don't like to watch rom-com i just don't like this genre but i started this drama just because of the actors and i thought i will be able to complete this drama but guess what i didn't complete drama i watched like 12 ep and then i dropped tbh i started feeling bored after 4-5 ep but i was hoping for it to get better and i was watching it at 1.75x but it was just not my cup of tea
I story line was soo boring and predictable so if u are planning to watch this just because of the actors u better not watch it because in the end u will be disappointed
But i wanna add one more thing which is that my friends are also into kdrama and they also watched this drama but they really enjoyed so i thing in the end everything is about our taste

this drama is super fun with amazing storyline...
True Beauty is a romantic comedy about a high school girl (Moon Ga Young) who goes to great lengths to never be caught without makeup on and the only guy (Cha Eun Woo) who has seen her bare face.Moon Ga Young plays Lim Ju Kyung. She was made fun of and bullied because of her looks which eventually led her to master the art of make-up in order to hide her true face. She does whatever she can to avoid anyone seeing her bare face, but when a guy from her school does, she worries he will tell and her world will come crumbling down.
Cha Eun Woo is Lee Su Ho. He is handsome but cold to those around him. He also carries deep pain from events in his past. His world brightens a bit though when he meets Ju Kyung and likes her even though he has seen her bare face.
Then we have Hwang in Yeop as Han Seo Joon. He is known as a cool bad boy, but he is actually very kind. He has a history with Su Ho and then gets involved in a love triangle with Ju Kyung.
True Beauty is a drama that is just plain fun! It is breezy and entertaining as it swiftly moves the story along. It honestly doesn’t really do anything revolutionary as you’ll find a simple story with a hefty sprinkling of classic kdrama tropes, but it packages it all in such a fun and engaging way that just made it so easy to watch.
I am definitely a sucker for stories like this as an “unattractive” girl hides her true face which makes everyone think she is beautiful. Luckily, the only guy who has seen her bare face likes her and thinks she’s pretty just the way she is. Aww!!
The romance is fun as we get to see plenty of bickering between Ju Kyung and Su Ho as well as lots of meaningful moments. It takes a while for them to get on the same page with sharing their feelings, but it’s a fun journey to watch. Then we see their relationship blossom quite nicely.
Ju Kyung and Su Ho’s individual stories were good too. Ju Kyung is bullied because of her looks, and it was terrible to see. She is able to pull herself out of the situation by learning to use makeup, but then she is forced to live a life of secrecy so no one finds out what she actually looks like.
True Beauty also features a pretty fun love triangle. Our bad boy with a heart of gold gets off on the wrong foot with Ju Kyung, but in true k-drama fashion, it doesn’t take long before he is pining away for her. Combine that with some ongoing issues he has with Su Ho, and we get an entertaining love triangle for sure! And the love/hate bromance was also a great addition to the show, as their relationship has plenty to unpack.
This is the kind of drama where there are lots of misunderstandings and the characters don’t always communicate very well. So expect that going in. It’s just part of this type of story though, and everything was well done enough that I don’t consider it a real negative.
I really enjoyed True Beauty as a whole. Its zany brand of humor made it fun with plenty of laughs. There are some very heartfelt elements to the story that deliver emotion and tears. In the midst of the fun are also nice little moments of insight that add some depth to the drama. If you want a classic high school rom-com kdrama that is packaged in just the right way, True Beauty is for you. Laughs, fun, and heart make for a terrific watch.

first thing first, the way joo-gyeong ran back to su-ho GIRL WHAT?????

that man left her without even a proper talk AND she still spammed him with messages begging him to talk to her yet he insisted on breaking up with her LIKEEE??????
thennnn just THE AUDACITY of him being all lovey-dovey again the moment he laid eyes on her like bytch whaatttt????? NAH STAY THE FRICK AWAY!!!
i said it once and i’ll say it again, su-ho is so insecure and weak-willed and he would just leave joo-gyeong at the slightest inconvenience that happens in his life thinking that “iT’s tHe bEsT fOr hEr”
now for seo-jun, that man… just THAT. MAN.
he’s a real one and i love him with my whole heart
he sobbed his eyes out after letting her go to him, always supported them and pushed joo-gyeong to be with su-ho, respected her boundaries, always got her back AND HE WAS JUST THE GREENEST GREEN FREAKING FLAG I’VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!

Love and friendship
The series was great. Really funny and very strong with a clean script. Only the last two episodes should not have ended everything quickly and should have explained a little more. Anyway, I think this series would be much better if it had a second season because it was a sweet series and it is worth watching. I love Yoona, Minah and Gayoung and also Inyoup's acting was amazing. I hope Kim Minki plays more series and I am sure she will be very successful in the future..its OST was very beautiful and I listen to them every dayWas this review helpful to you?

overhyped? yes. worst drama. no.
I have so much to say but also nothing to say. It wasn’t as bad of a drama as everyone made it out to be. I actually enjoyed it. I’m not the biggest fan of these types of dramas (the I’m ugly because of acne or weight so I change myself but the real message is supposed to be the beauty within)🙄😪Some scenes were a bit goofy to me but overall it was an enjoyable watch. If you don’t mind cliché, predictable and exaggerated reactions, then you’ll enjoy this. It’s a very typical drama so if you’re looking for something different then look elsewhere.The “finding her true beauty” plot point got thrown out pretty quickly (imo). The drama really mostly revolves around relationships. Which is again why I’m not the biggest fan of these dramas. The main message of “you’re beautiful just the way you are” is never fully developed or well expressed.
I'll be honest, out of the Gayoung dramas I've seen, this was not my favorite role of hers. I personally prefer her in more "bad b!tch" roles. This was my first Eunwoo drama, I believe, and he did just fine. I don't really think there was a better way for him or anyone to play the role? This was also my first Inyeop drama and I fell in love with him. The suppoerting cast did what they had to do. Honestly some of them had more character than some main characters but oh well
But anyways if I were being actually critical I’d probably rate it 5 or 6 stars but my ratings are emotional so this is most definitely because of how I felt watching it lmao. Also rating it high because I cried😭 not because it was a sad drama (at least in my opinion it wasn’t) but because I had been in a similar situation as some characters and made the same decisions.
I had so much to say but already ranted in my friends’ dms lmao so now I have nothing😩😭
anyways a cute drama, good looking cast, nice soundtrack, and a decent plot. Enjoy ! #TeamSeojun
**I also enjoyed seeing Kim Minki in this because I love his Racket Boys character and this role was different. Love his range of acting so far and looking forward to seeing him in more dramas**

My First k drama
This drama is an amazing start for being an addict to kdramas . It is my first ever kdrama I have watched . If you are a beginner it is a amazing drama to watch it contains lot of story twists also tell us about a person's real and true bueaty which not from his/her outer personality but from his/her inner self . It contains a cute love story and great friendship . If I had to rate it I will surely rate 10/10 . A must watch drama . Fluffy story
I really like the main actors. They all did a great job! The story is a typical high school story, but it doesn’t change the vibe of it. It was really fun to watch this drama! A lot of funny scenes and not draggy at all.What I really like was all the family members from the FL. The dad en sister didn’t had the typical stereo type like what we use to. It was really a extra fun thing in the drama.
I liked everything of it.
If you want to watch a fun, lovely with no stress drama than you should watch this ^^

Easy to watch, a lovely story!
For the people who LOVE silly but really funny dramas! At the same time they talk about romances in a high school ambient, you can see pertinent topics like bullying and problems with self steem in a casual way. Althought not all the characters are amazing actors, Cha Eun Woo being one of the protagonists makes everything look better!! If I can give a advice would be: Give a chance to True Beauty!!!! It completely worth my time, I got completely stuck watching it and would absolutely watch it again!Was this review helpful to you?
cute and fun
I loved every single actor and actress here and the story is really nice. But sometimes it got boring and way too cliche midway. The beginning and the end are perfect tho. It is a nice drama to laugh and the side couples are very cute, I loved suah and taehoon!! But if you don't like love triangles don't watch this, you'll get a HARD second lead syndrome, even if it was very clear since the beginning who jukyoung would end up with. One of the things that I liked the most is that this is not only a romance story, but also a friendship story!Was this review helpful to you?
