The Romance of Tiger and Rose

传闻中的陈芊芊 ‧ Drama ‧ 2020
Here the female lead is transported as the character of a drama. She is also self aware and trying to move the plot of the original script

Both FL know the events that will happen and are reliving the story. While the romance of tiger and rose is about the screen writer becoming the main character and trying to stay alive until the ending of her story, she realizes her mistakes and flaws in her story and tries to fix things. In the story of Kunning Palace, the character relives her past and tries to do things differently to change her future and tries to redeem herself by doing things differently this time.

(mostly in the 2nd arc of HDJtT)
- Gender politics/Feminism
- Modern lead find themselves in a historical setting where they're in a wacky situation (in TRoTaR it's the FL who travels into her novel while in HDJtT ML travels back in time)
- Similar leads' dynamics but role reversed (in TRoTaR, FL is bubbly and ML is the tsundere while in HDJtT, it's the other way around).
- Catty MLs
- Gender Role Reversal
- FL is very close to her right hand guy (platonic) and he ships and helps the leads
- Female rulers (TRoTaR is set in a matriarchy while in HDJtT FL is the empress but it's not a matriarchy).
- Misunderstandings between the leads

Both dramas are the stories about the FL trapped into the world of her own scenery but in Palace: Devious Women it has quite unexpected twist at the ending

Both tell about the palace story written by an author which later on the author turn to wake up as one of the character in the story that turned out very hilarious. TRoTaR is much better.

The female lead characters in both dramas, despite their high social status, are forthright, unconventional, fearless, practical, and unpretentious. They can never be manipulated by others, and they will never take orders. Both dramas are hilarious with funny side characters.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

1) Both are comedy
2) Both have romance
3) Both involve a trace of time-travel
4) Both are historical romances
5) Both dramas, have marriages where a man is 'lesser' than his wife. And so, has to obey his wife, who is considered 'higher' than him.

In both dramas, the female lead traverses into a story world that she wrote and finds that she is actually the "evil" second female lead. However, "Oh My Drama Lover" is different in that the female lead loses her memory and her appearance is different in the story world. Furthermore, the actual male lead of the drama is not the story's written male lead.

- FL is an author that transmigrates into her story and becomes the antagonist
- FL goes from being the cold and aloof character to being sweet and caring
- ML approaches FL in order to steal something from her
- ML is from a rival kingdom (TRoTaR)/sect (in PLinW)
- Gender Role Reversal.=
- FL is in a position of power while ML is not (in PLinW he's a concubine while in WutF he's her consort).
- Both have comedy (TRoTaR is more comedy focused)
- The story taking places within a story actually plays an important part in the plot.

These both dramas are very similar. In both of the dramas the girl wants the kingdom where girls are more respected than men

Both dramas have a writer FL and a ML who is the villain of her story. Both involve a sort of time travel (FL entering the fictional historical world vs. fictional historical ML entering the real world). Both couples are antagonistic at first.
