Slow and gentle romance, a bookstore/library setting, slice-of-life focus and pacing, great cinematography with a focus on landscapes and the aesthetic of daily life, a mellow soundtrack with emotive stringed instruments.

From troubled and trauma filled main leads to trying and underestimated female leads these 2 are like enantiomers. The way they both progressed in a slow but peaceful manner and the warm encounters throughout the way is so despicably similar and the best thing in common -murder-. definitely give come and hug me a chance if you enjoyed when the weather is fine. even their titles make a complete sentence.-when the weather is fine, come and hug me-

Both dramas offer the same calm and romantic winter vibe.
When I started watching the first love it reminded me of 'when the weather is fine',
especially when playing past story of them.

Both are slower-paced, romance-focused stories set in small towns with a strong emphasis on establishing and developing characters within the tiny communities. The side characters add depth to the plot, but also get interesting storylines on their own.

Both have winter settings with melo and calming feels. The main couple also met in highschool, then separated and reunited again.

Both are set in winter and located in a snowy town in the countryside. They revolve around a warm store where people gather and discuss their life. They are centered around the owner of the store. Both are slow-paced with meditative, quite and peaceful atmosphere.

They capture the everyday life of the people in the countryside and discuss similar themes on family, relationships, love, loneliness and healing.

Although definitively different shows, there is a slice of life feel to both (much more present in HP). Primarily, the scenes in WTWIF that focus on the village and its people reminded me of the scenes in HP where we see the doctors and patients in the hospital interacting with each other in a way that isn't fully "necessary" to the overall plot. Both shows have a very calming effect while still dealing with heavy topics.

in the simplest similarity Hae Won is/was a teacher kinda like Ha Neul and there seems to be a backstory, but otherwise both have that cold cozy healing vibe

Okay so they have different story
BUT!!
the feeling is same
BTIMFL is a bit more on the urban life but WTWIF is based on country side but the struggle is real (SLICE OF LIFE)
i personally liked it you watch it

Male lead falls in love with female lead in school age and is "devoted" to her since then.
Female lead plays an instrument.
Shy/reserved leads, slow burn romance.
