Must See!!!

Honestly this has to be one of my fav dramas this year without a doubt. Watching this made me fall in love with Leo the second time after watching a different side to him on Ashes of Love which was so refreshing. The main couple gave me goosebumps with their chemistry and cheesiness that they had together, every moment they had together on screen was so much fun to watch. Leo showed what the perfect boyfriend was to watch on screen by being: well-educated, good looking, romantic, caring and loved her since he was little so what kind of girl doesn't want that in a man? The second lead couple was just adorable as well though it did take some time for them to be together, I am glad they got a happy ending and Riley (Xiaochuan) is always the cutest with his dimple every time ugh the chemistry between both coupes made me love this drama even more with the heartwarming stuff as well as the sad scenes that went along with it so if you are thinking about watching this drama, I would highly recommend doing so ASAP.

Simple romance story, comedy, not lame, nice acting, for me little boring

Initially a little boring but when watching not feeling very long maybe because the comedy part not to lame, many words about work are not clear, at the beginning of the episode the arrangement of the scenes is quite good, but starting from the middle episode starts to appear jumping scene

quite funny comedy and not lame because the acting is quite good, I just can't accept the nickname given "xiao ku bao" "bao bao" just feeling weird leo luo say that

And the last episode after two year i
too many episodes needed for the epilog, so the corupt of dulei is unnecessary,,, and the jumping scene is obvious, even though I feel the story after 2 years is just an addition that may or may not exist fpr the ending

When jiang jun and yuan shuai falling in love i feel very suddenly for jiang jun

Dulei corupt,Can't figure out what the purpose he do this, it seems to be superfluous,, i don't feel dulei corruption is necessary

Loved this drama!!!

I watched the series till episode 30 last and was reluctant to watch the rest 6 episodes because of the comments here. Finally today I decided to watch the rest and I've got to say I'm so glad that I did. Often shows end with the happy ending where the ML and FL get together and this two years later plot showed a glimpse of what is happening in their lives after living together for so long and how they suit each other. Even the arguments between them felt realistic and in line with their characters. Also I did feel the writers completely forgot the tears allergy plot which was fine by me because honestly I didnt know where that was going.
I enjoyed watching this drama a lot and I'm gonna miss it a lot.

Must watch if you love romantic comedy dramas!

This is for everyone out there who enjoys a good romantic-comedy drama! Honey-dripping chemistry between the main leads and their love story is one for the books. Some people are not a fan of the soundtracks, but as an international fan I loved the English OSTs! Especially since a lot of the secondary leads/characters are the ones who sang it. Overall, this drama is a solid watch for me! I'll definitely be re-watching my favorite scenes for months to come. This and Le Coup de Foudre are my favorite modern Chinese drama rom-coms! Keeping my fingers crossed wishing for a drama reunion for Bai Lu and Luo Yun Xi.

I've watched quite a few cliché Chinese dramas and honestly, this one's not so bad..

There are only two things that I really liked in this drama and that is the main leads characters and their amazing chemistry!!! Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu make a beautiful pair that compliment each other very well...
It's a typical drama with a strong female lead and an overly concerned male lead who keeps thinking that his female counterpart is a damsel in distress.. But lo and behold, the female lead turns out to be pretty strong.. Cue the romance.. Add some spice and turns and twists and you get a melodrama...

The actors deserve a huge credit for making this drama work out for me! I have always put off watching Ashes of Love owing to it's sad nature but now, I am even more vary to watch it because I have become such a fan of Luo Yunxi, that I don't think I can handle watching him suffer!

I personally believe that the the last 6 episodes were completely unnecessary... They tried showing us a domestic version of their romance which was filled with usual and typical couple squabbles with pride and career getting in the way of their relationship.. They probably tried to make it realistic but that is the last thing some of us want.. We just want a cute and sweet relationship without the realities of the harsh world... And what pissed me the most was that Yuan Shuai, Du Lei and Jiang Jun, who had all reached to some sort of an understanding and in the last 6 episodes Du Lei just goes completely unhinged and messes up the whole character building that he had done throughout the drama... That was truly very disappointing because he had come to become my favorite..

Overall, it's a decent watch.. I know my comments are filled with negatives more than positives but one persons trash is another person's treasure.. Who know, you might just like it! So don't let my comment hold you back from witnessing their beautiful chemistry!

It feels like a fairy tale and not in a good way

"Love Is Sweet" is a romantic comedy drama about two childhood friends: Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai, they lost contact with each other because of a misunderstanding and reunite when Jiang Jun comes to Yuan Shuai's work for a job interview. In the beginning they fight like kids all the time, but you could see the love is still there.

As the title says, the drama is very sweet and has everything that we didn't see in "Till The End of The Moon". Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai are really cute together, the story is light, fun and easy to watch, but at the same time, it's a little superficial, it lacks complexity. I think what was missing was seeing more of the character's past, the drama should have built a better foundation for their relationship, to grow from there.
Du Lei is the second protagonist, but he is a character you can't really root for, you can see that he didn't care about Jiang Jun, he just wanted to gain something from Yuan Shuai.

Not so good and not so bad

Theme of the story is good ,how he care for her in school times and even love her but one thing , I don't getting that he forget her until they not meet again .It if they do not meet so he doesn't love her . This concept I don't understand . I thought the story should be like this that after coming back ,his first priority to look for her . But they coincidentally meet again and his love rise again for her . I like the
concept of the story but I don't like the story line . I like the second lead love story more than first lead .

Came from TTEOTM, was not disappointed

TLDR; It's a pretty standard love story, but that doesn't detract from the chemistry between the main leads. It also made me feel a bit bittersweet once I got to the last ep. The acting is so natural that I feel like some parts were improvised and just came from the actors joking with each other. The comedy is also funny af. The songs aren't too bad, and bg music is nice. Rewatch value is kinda low just bc it is not terribly unique, but good as a comfort show, esp when coping from TTEOTW.

Story: I'm sorry, what was that about a TEAR ALLERGY?? Apparently it exists, but it's extremely rare. I'm sorry, I really thought it was made up 🫢 my bad. Not sure why she doesn't have those pocket tissues on hand since it's so serious. I forgot how much obvious product placement is in modern cdramas lol. There are misunderstandings, but they're so funny I couldn't be bothered (looking at you TTEOTW)..Rivalry is pretty interesting. Sure, sometimes it's petty, but it's not annoying. First time I've seen a misunderstanding, and the person in the dark directly addresses why they felt that way towards their love interest, and the other person apologizes! Also, the characters are pretty smart, and there is a slight mystery aspect. It's also extremely satisfying when the main villain gets taken down. The ending made me cry, but in a good way..

Acting/Cast: Still loving Bai Lu's facial expressions lol. I also came from TTEOTM and spotted the actor who played YXW's older brother like the gang's here (not really). I feel like some parts are improvised, which shows the chemistry between the actors.

Music: A lot of the songs are sung in English, so there's an accent, but the lyrics are still nice, and it's not difficult to listen to. Bg music is nice.

Rewatch value: If I were to rewatch it, it would probably be for the chemistry between the main leads.

I came her to vent - major spoiler below

It was a 7.5 for me up until ep 31. cute time filler. At Episode 30 it was a nice ending, and very cute wrap up, even the ML and rival 3(ML?) resolved their issues and got together to resolve the big trauma filled issue. . The main couple's chemistry was good and really sweet. The way ML looks at FL is the best part of the chemistry. ML and FL actors are very good. I keep reading about the kissing.. I mean, I guess, compared to the other chinese dramas where they touch lips and do nothing, these are real, and not bad. But if you've ever kissed anyone, or seen a regular kiss onscreen, I mean, don't just tune in for that. You'll be disappointed.

And then episode 31 - 36 happened. Wait, what are we doing here....didn't this thing just end? sadly, it did not. Because here, I guess because the network wanted 36 episodes, they made up an enemy. ML's rival (3ML?) for 30 episodes was a conscientious, caring man terribly abused by his adoptive family who sets out to right a grievous wrong done to someone 5 years ago, does a complete 180 and becomes evil? No character building. No reasoning. just "two years later". It's completely and utterly inconsistent with his character from when we saw him as a child to age 30. What's his motivation for changing so drastically? Nothing. Calling complete bull**t on that.. For that reason, it gets a 5.5. Really disgusted with what the writers did to that character. They didn't have to find a cute girl for him and wrap it up with a bow, but dang,, make him act a in a way that is remotely similar to his character.,

If you watch it, stop at the first happy ending, episode 30.

This started off good...

This drama series started off pretty good. Liked that the main leads did not fall all over each other right away. However, Jiang Jun (JJ) shows such disrespect for Yuan Shuai (YS) when she contacts Du to help YS's cousin knowing that the two share a dislike for each other. She later accepts a watch from him as her so-called gift for her promotion. Promotion gifts are given by the company and not individual boss and he brought such a personal gift on his trip for her. She does become arrogant not to see it isn't that YS wants her to quit her job for quitting sake, but because Du is overloading her with work and is undermining her. YS being given the dialogue in the ending of the series that he pressured her a little to quit was such a turn off.

The second lead was super annoying from beginning to end, no exception. Xu Li need some self respect written in her character. Loving someone and them not loving you back is definitely not the best feeling, but one should have self respect.

Although there is chemistry between the main leads, the scene of Du forcing himself on JJ being played down was the biggest turnoff and downer of this show.

He first pulled her into his hug tightly, which she clearly said no many times and struggle to break free. Then he tried kissing her, which she said no and still continue to break free. The fact that unwanted sexual advancements were made, it is was sexual harassment. And it should not have been played down like nothing happened, it should have been addressed. It was quite disgusting the way this track was handled.

At least five to six episodes were wasted, they could have ended the series at episode 30.

I low marked the story of the series and actors because to the mishandling of the sexual harassment scene.

I low marked the music because it played in, inappropriate places of the show.

ML is so f**king annoying!

I had a bad time watching this drama and so I'm gonna sum up here why I dropped this: ML is so f**king annoying! The way he treats FL as if she's about to break in the face of a small problem, it makes me so mad. And how he thinks that by teasing her and bullying her he is turning her into a strong woman. He says some sexist things too like the financial world is not for her cuz she's a woman and cuz she can't cry. Seriously, she has a condition that makes her go to the hospital everytime she cries. Yeah, I know, it doesn't make any sense! And let's not forget that scene where he praised the male interns' report and totally roasted the other girls'. He's so patronising. I just hated him!

And to complicate things more, the SML who's supposed to be like a villain is so much more interesting than ML. He has a backstory and childhood trauma that made me feel sorry for him, while ML is like this "perfect" guy who never had any regrets or difficulties in life. Maybe that's why ML is who he is. arrogant. spoiled. self-absorbed.

Anyways, I dropped this before the couple get together so maybe smth might've changed later on. But from what I heard their annoying bickering still goes on until the end of the drama and there's a weird time jump. So, glad I dropped in time. But the truth is I should've done it sooner.

AMAZING 10/10 DEF RECOMMEND

At first I thought it was just gonna be another lame boring chinese drama but I was blown away. I immediately fell in love with it. It's one of those shows where you can't stop watching it. When I tell you that their chemistry is impeccable I mean it's freakin amazing. The acting is 10/10. I'm in love with them. Chinese dramas are really stepping it up. This is definitely the best chinese drama I've ever seen. I usually only watch kdramas because the quality, production, and acting is just better but this might actually be better than a kdrama. I love how there's more episodes and so many more intimate scenes compared to a kdrama. I couldn't stop squealing/swooning while watching this show. Also Bai Lu is such a great actress. I love her. She definitely made the show more enjoyable/lovable. I love her character and she really played it so well. I can't wait to see more dramas with her in it. 10/10. I most definitely recommend. I don't have enough good things to say about this show just watch it.
