This made my favs list

This is one of those dramas where u think it wont be that good, but then the more you watch it the more hooked you get.
The fact that the main lead has character development and skills too is perfect, this is not one of those where the FM will simply be a pick me and annoy you through the whole thing.
This is a series about someone that experienced first loved and fought very hard for it, in return also finding herself and something she likes in the middle of it.
Deffo a must watch if u like something that will warm you up.
The ML took a few episodes to warm up to, but I mean it does makes sense on why he is so cold in the beginning.
Love Love Love this and deffo recommend.
I have rewatched it twice now and still love it.

So cute!

Omg! I loved watching this drama, it's a hidden gem. Sakura is such a sweet and couragous person, and her perseverance is really admirable. I am happy they did not portray her as the damsel in distress, useless female lead who just wants to run after a guy, but instead apart from having fallen in love with Tendo, she also wants to become an excellent nurse. There were no dumb misunderstandings and no scheeming by jealous side characters.. The relationships were really nice and there was no character that I did not like in particularly. The acting was also good and not cringy. This is an ideal series for people who need a light and fun watch!

The cutest and sweetest story about a girl's one-side love come true.

The story was fabulous, I espeacially loved how genuine she was with her love and how persevering she was. Even though she gut hurt she still never gave up and found her dream and now wants to follow it. Very beautiful story about how a crush changed a girl's whole course of life. And the acting was truly awesome. I loved the FL's acting the most, her expressions were just sooo on point and really really good. I really enjoyed the OST too. It's got a very nice feel to it. It had a lot of comedy in it. Overall It's a great drama with a very cute story about the one-side love of a girl come true and a truly truly entertaining rom com with a motivational drive and creative screenplay. + amazing direction and cinematography! Hats off to the cast and team! 🏥🧑‍⚕️🍙👩‍🎓💘💉

Since release I've watched it 208 times!

Update as of today 10/9/22 - I have watched this 208 times since release! Since Viki put the show on I have watched it so many times. Previously I watched it on blitzfansub.com

Original Review: 9/2/2021

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this little drama. I found it the day the first episode came out on January 14, 2020. I have watched this more times than any other show or movie in my 46 years of life! For me It’s definitely obsessive!

I bought the DVD box set back last year. I’ve have purchased and read the manga so to be able to see the drama adaptation makes it that much sweeter! I actually have a Satoh/Tendo Tattoo.

Satoh and Mone have so much chemistry. I watched them together in a previous comedy but this drama was written for them. I know Satoh is known for his action films which I love but for me romantic drama and comedies hit the mark! No one else could play Tendo and Mone is Nanase 100%. Due to Mone's age they changed some of it from the manga and normally I don't like when a book, manga, novel is changed but they did it right.

The supporting cast is awesome as well! The clothing and sets were great! The theme song is my ringtone!

omg so I just finished watching it...

omg so I just finished watching it and I'm so full of emotions To be precise this was MA FIRST EVER JAPANESE DRAMA and I'm glad that I chose this one. Firstly bout the music as I ain't a native person i don't really deserve to rate the OST but ig it felt connecting so yeah. and I swear if anyone dare say anything bout the cast cuz the casting team is actually the cherry on the top for this drama even the side characters. I don't actually like ml having first love already as I used to watch c-dramas but this was actually a very crucial part to the script and I loved everything bout the script tbh. omg I love it and most importantly the 2nd ml and that person who had a crush on fl were also good and they didn't gave me second lead syndrome as well haha. I am not a person who prefers re-watching a drama as I feel we can't feel the same way so I rated it less but if I was the person who prefers re-watching I would fs rate it 10. and overall it's jus so awesome Omgg I didn't know I needed this. Ahhh so gooddd.

The only JDrama that would love to binge again.

So I watched this while it was airing and it definitely was very engaging. I remember waiting every week to watch the next episode. Sakura nanase being refered to as the warrior and then her appearing in the costume was always so hilarious. Tendo Kairi was the typical cold ML but him being affectionate to patients was such a sight to see. What I liked about this drama is that they didnt sweep away the medical aspect of the drama. The medical and hospital scenes were relevant throughout the drama and also very realistic. All the patients and their stories felt so real. The ex was also not that over-bearing and hate worthy. Nothing was over the top or bland in the story. The cinematography was great specially when Kairi comes to Nanase's hometown and gives her a surprising backhug it was such a heart fluttering moment. I loved the way they shot that scene. I havent watched many jdramas and many of the times I was not that satisfied. But this Jdrama really hit the spot. Overall a good drama I would recommend to those who like me had hit or miss cases in Jdramas.

Cute little show, easy to binge.

Touching at times, ridiculous at others. Loved the characters and their relationships.
FL is like an open book, so straightforward that it's completely disarming, even while causing second-hand embarrassment. She is unapologeticly her joyous and hopeful self.
ML is a dream, cool and level headed, attractive against all his seriousness, frowning, and sometimes even rudeness. The warmth radiating from inside becomes palpable.
In summary: fun, dynamic, good acting, enjoyed even clichés.

THE INCURABLE LOVE WE ALL DESIRE

I had never been a big fan of J-dramas and I had been putting off this for a while. Decided to give it a go and I absolutely loved the show. I am seeing the cast for the first time, I haven't seen any of their works before. Initially, I didn't like any of the leads but gradually I liked them. Especially Satoh Takeru has got a beautiful smile. Pity that his smile was shown more only in the finale episode.
Nanase's character wasn't bland. But, I do feel its unrealistic about the plot: falling in love with a stranger within seconds and making him as a goal of your life. The idea might be dreamy but it was a bit hopeful; it made me believe in love and fate. A girl finally achieving her goal of marrying her first love and even having a successful career which enables her to work alongside her lover...didn't think I will like such a cheesy plot.
However, I couldn't bring myself to root for any of the side couples. The last couple of episodes were so good. I was laughing and blushing throughout episode 10 that my mother seriously considered sending me to an asylum. The OST is good and its music is often used as background score during dramatic scenes. Overall, a fine show!

One of the best romcoms

This was a really good show. Although sometimes the plot may seem a bit pushed, the comedy covers it well. Characters act very naturally and it is a show you'll want to binge in one shot. The music is also great (official hige-dandism). I think the story sometimes dragged but this was a small issue with all the comedy it had in each episode. If you like an funny, heartwarming show where you won't have to think too much, this is perfect.

I felt ashamed from beginning to end

I don't know much about Japanese love culture, but I was really bothered by the way the main character behaved. She was childish and immature, with no self-love. Everything revolved around the "powerful" protagonist. The fact that he called her an "imbecile" all the time made me angry. PS: Girls, don't want that kind of man.

He didn't care enough about her. I just wanted to scream: "PLEASE SHOW SOME FEELINGS" A tired Japanese cliché as always.
We need a character whose life doesn't revolve around a man. The only thing that saves the drama is the medical environment. It was really interesting to follow the hospital.

when the word 'cute' decides to manifest into a dorama.

picture this: you happen to stumble upon a handsome stranger, fall in love at first sight, spend years pining and then fate happens and you two meet again, your mutual feelings bursting out the moment you lay eyes on one another. and then it only feels right that you ride off into the sunset together...

…yeah. well. absolutely none of that happens to miss sakura nanase.

sure, the first part checks out 'cause she does meet a ridiculously good-looking doctor who sweeps her off her feet. she does spend years not seeing him. but when she finally joins the staff at his hospital, not only does he fail to recognise her—he's also the resident "devil of cardiology," an indifferent and insensitive doctor who made it his personal mission not to let any imperfection slide.

the premise sounds like a cliché because it is a cliché, let's not pretend otherwise. but 'koi wa tsuzuku yo doko made mo' is that kind of cliché that works—the enjoyable, heart-fluttering "i know exactly what's coming, but iam still squealing anyway" kind.

nanase's journey is the real gem here. watching her grow from a clumsy little grey mouse into a confident, capable nurse is highly rewarding. simultaneously, her gradual development makes her relationship with tendo kairi more profound 'cause—shocking, totally unexpected plot twist—she gets her man completely obsessed with her (as she should).

despite kairi himself following the classic dorama blueprint of an indifferent jerk becoming an indifferent loverboy, he's actually a pleasant presence to have on the screen. mostly because he never belittles nanase for no reason. instead his brutal honesty when criticising pushes her to grow rather than shrink and that is pure gold in the rom-com genre, which used to lean on humiliation for the sake of "romantic tension." as if.

safe to say that no one serves doctor x nurse power couple quite like kairi and nanase, love them for that.

full disclosure at the end: for every adorable moment, there's at least one scene that made me physically pace around my room from secondhand embarrassment. but that's part of its charm, too—it hands you romance on a silver plate, sprinkled with a bit of cringe as seasoning, and makes your heart flutter.

it's cute, easy to watch and leaves one emotionally satisfied at the end, which is all a heart of a hopeless romantic could want.
