Love Between Fairy and Devil Episode 16 Reactions
Another episode with real growth in both main characters.Already more than tired of the "Jie Li" character though. Totally could do without her getting anymore screen time. Just an annoying character.

Umm why Jieli seeking her own death?? She should know better. Oh the first ancestor of the Moon Tribe was a woman. Why his father hate him?

I love the Orchid`s sweetness and innocence. Her smile brightens the screen up! She has come to care much for the Moon Supreme.I feel like his old scars are returning with his resurrected Love tree. This feels bad.I also love his dialuge with his brother-neither of them are actually wrong in their point of view. I find that fascinating.By the way, that shop girl really got saved by Orchid this time...jeez was Dongfang just about to kill her. And i am so excited to know why Dongfang killed his father

It's such a relief to get some backstory on Dongfang Qing Cang! To see a loving and doting father to a cruel man. I know there's more that Dongfang Qing Cang missed. It's heartbreaking. Dongfang Qing Cang doesn't fully realize that his Love Root or emotional root is truly being revived. I wondered why he had been handling it so well. He didn't believe Orchid could do it. This episode is so intense! Seeing Dongfang Qing Cang of the present worried about getting his emotions back after all he went through before. Not to mention he probably doesn't want to lose his mighty powers. The scene about the maid from the past was very touching.
Annoyingly Jie Li decides she's going to rob Dongfang Qing Cang. Of course to save her neck she says it's all for Orchid cause she wanted it. After he realizes that Jie Li had grabbed a sentimental items of value to him, he loses it. Shang Que even tries to help her and angers Dongfang Qing Cang even further. Orchid steps in when Dongfang Qing Cang's had enough and decides to just kill Jie Li. Which leads to Jie Li finally deciding that Orchid is a good person and her friend. We'll see how long it takes before Jie Li throws Orchid under the bus.
Dongfang Qing Cang's mood is on the war path. I think it's due to having all these memories from the Memory River and then the fear of getting his emotions back. It's intense. Soon he's ordering his brothers execution for 3 days later. On the anniversary of when he killed his father.
Orchid isn't giving up on him though. She's determined to find out what really happened. Because she has faith in Dongfang Qing Cang.

You gotta love this episode because it gives us an insight on the backstory of the Moon tribe people and the relationship of Dongfang Qingcang with his family. Before this, Xiaolanhua did not judge the moon tribe people because she's open minded, but in this episode she learns more about the moon tribe and their side of the story. She realizes that the fairy realm might not be telling the whole of the story. She gets more convinced that she needs to help DFQC retrieve his emotions.
