Love Between Fairy and Devil Episode 18 Reactions
This show has me acting out of character. I'm sitting here making noises like Courage, the cowardly dog.I never take a man's side, if I can help it, BUT THIS I had to step in. I know it's only halfway through, but I couldn't do it. This is just cruel and unusual punishment for the ML. I started getting angry tears. How you just gonna dig up his abuser like that immediately after the first moment of vulnerability????? I was already trudging through the FL's acting. It is a fine stylistic choice. It made the body switch fun, but there's only so much I could take. That and the constant stream of bad decisions.Every "I'm doing this for his own good" was never good. It's hard to see him as a villain when he is constantly vindicated. It was taking me out the story and it had me looking at her crazy. FL was sitting at 0-8 in the choice department. Not ONE smart choice. I knew it was getting out of hand when I couldn't even see her perspective anymore. She couldn't even spare him a pity "Dang, that's crazy". My biggest pet peeve is blind, self righteous, moral posturing. Especially when it's against, not even evil, just overpowered and overdramatic. If you find yourself against the choice that's based on the power of friendship, SOMETHING'S JUST NOT RIGHT!!!!

Reached probably a near term high point. This episode took Dongfeng Qian Cing most of the rest of the way in his emotional redemption arc and ended in a very good place. Xiao Lan Hua also showed tremendous growth in character as she helps him take every step. The whole episode is very emotional and both actors deliver compelling performances.I fully expect the next few episodes to carry us dramatically away from this blissful point as the main characters still have many challenges to face.

So... His father had to make that decision. Also, had to sacrifice himself for their tribe. I hope Xunfeng at least be cordial with QingCang after this. I like that when we saw his father we got to see one of the fews who can call him by his name. This was a rare time to see him so disheveled skksksksks. OH I SEE HE HAD BEEN FAKING TO BE SO SICK SKSJISJDJDNDNDJJD SO XLH CLD TAKE CARE OF HIM. She likes him but she didn't realise it yet I think. Sksksks at least he did exactly what she taught him and more. A progress in their relationship! Now I'm just curious about his Hellfire.

This episode was all about Dongfang and him trying to come to terms with his dark past, his relationship with his father and the way he tries to solve his relationship with his brother- The scene where he breaks down and cries (reminded me of Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" when he got his soul back) and Orchid hugging him blew me away. I cried so much

Picking right up from the last episode the emotional roller coaster continues. Dongfang Qing Cang's conversation with his father just makes all the feels go crazy. I honestly didn't expect Dongfang Qing Cang to decide to keep his feelings. Especially since he already went through the first part of removing his emotions. Deciding to keep the grief of killing his father and all those cruel emotions to try and keep the good. The goodbye between the two broke me as Dongfang Qing Cang could not give his father peace. (I don't blame him.)
Dongfang Qing Cang immediately feels the consequence as the day is his fathers death and his brother execution. Dongfang Qing Cang stops the strikes and takes the majority of them in place of his brother. Orchid is amazing standing up for Dongfang Qing Cang and making his little brother face the reality. Even giving Dongfang Qing Cang advice later how to deal and mend fences.
What's more Dongfang Qing Cang makes Orchid take care of him longer than she needs to and that was cute. Especially after she comforted him. Clearly from here out we're going to be getting way more emotional stuff. Which is great. But it's clear that Orchid expects Dongfang Qing Cang to change a lot and I doubt he's reading to give up his goal of taking over the fairies and war.
This episode and the last one didn't do much to expand the other plots and characters. We're deep diving into Dongfang Qing Cang. I'm waiting for some of those intense LOVE emotions to strike with our forbidden romance.

Dongfang Qingcang finally resolves his familial issues in this episode with Xiaolanhua's help. You got to appreciate that even though DFQC got to face his dad again, his dad still maintained his position albeit cruel but it was the best thing he could do for his son and the Moon tribe. Xunfeng finally realize that his brother also regretted his decision thousands of years ago. DFQC's pain and XLH consoling him is probably the most intimate scene so far. I marveled at Dylan Wang's ability to act out this heart wrenching scenes.

I have only watched Didi in MG, he was adorable back then and he fit Daoming Si's role perfectly. His next projects had low ratings so I skipped them. I must say, I didn't expect his acting to have this depth now, especially in this episode. I'm really impressed our Didi has grown up as an actor.

I cry so much at beginning😭😭 but happy like a crazy person at the end 😂 their acting really on point. But most important, the plot really good and such a roller coster.Oh, DFQC become such a cutie and baby in front of XLH

Its a relief that female lead is wooden headed and cute but at critical moments she is brave and wise and sides with the male lead and puts changheng and shuiyuntian aside otherwise she would get Dongfang Qingcang killed
