Beautiful Drama but Lacks Soul

I watched this drama for Dylan Wang which got me through the 36 episodes. It wasn't bad per say but it attempts to have the same success of Ashes of Love but doesn't do it as well. The costuming, acting, and music wasn't bad but I didn't enjoy the plot that much. The chemistry between the leads wasn't that good which is bad because this is a love story across lifetimes... Some of their scenes were better than other but I often left the chemistry and story of the second leads outshined them. The latter have also felt rushed which was annoying because it felt like it was supposed to be climatic but it wasn't. I just wanted to skip through it to know how it all ended. I wouldn't really recommend this unless you really like one of the leads like I do.

Not boring and a very lively story.

I loved the development of the relationship between Xue Qianxian and Dragon King when they were trying to learn about mortal love. It was comical in the beginning and slowly got serious. On and off the second female lead will still be funny. The competition between two male leads is really interesting to watch and the scene where Xue Qianxian and Fate immortal pretended to be Ayu, was priceless.
The character of Xue QianXian as a cold Lord, played by Deng Wei is quite impressive. Love the OST.
It is worth the time to watch.
The story goes on for decades and crosses lifetime but don’t let that dissolution you because it’s written really well that it’ll be enjoyable. I personally don’t care for story crossing timeline but this is different.

Could be better

Well, this drama could be better in terms of writing. The only saving grace is the acting if all the actors.I personally liked the story between Xue Qian Xun and Qing Qing.
Nonetheless, both the leads acting was also good.Only if the story could have been better,it would be a much more good watch.
As of now,you can skip it.

Bad Chemistry

Having good chemistry and an expressive actress is important with this type of cinematography. It’s a pain to watch the leading actress. She’s okey. The 2nd couple in the story truly did stole the show because the actress had more ‘right’ expressions on her.

The story is truly nice, but the couple could have elevated the elongated story if they truly have great chemistry(or better acting). This main actress will do well as an antagonist or cat-like character….not as a docile actress.

Good Fast Paced Drama

I get it if people dropped it however for a fantasy low budget drama this actually gets a good review 👍👍

Bambi Zhu as Female Lead really nailed her part as well as Wang Hedi as Male Lead

Acting, can we really score these 2 leads down? Answer No. The story really set the tone early. This is a love story that goes over multiple re-incarnations. Meteor Garden yes bigger budget and bigger cast but failed to set the tone between the leads for a good 40 Episodes. This drama only took few episodes to really set the right tone and direction with Bambi Zhu & Wang Hedi.

Bambi Zhu is an excellent actress, her record with major dramas speaks for itself. Wang Hedi one of most charismatic actors I have ever seen, only 23. This combination is a hit. No Surprise they are pairing up again in another drama.

This is a fast pace drama which you will fly through in a good 4 days, not rushed either.

How Was I Supposed To Know A Little White Snake Could Talk To Me? I'm Not A Snake, I'm Dragon King!

I Am Going To Admit On July 8th, 2022 I Watched My Very 1st Chinese Drama Which Was This Drama "Miss The Dragon" I Watched A Short Where Lui Ying Found A Little White Injured Dragon, Yes I Knew He Was A Dragon, Not A Snake. That Is What Caught My Attention, And That Is What Brought Me To Want To Watch This Drama. I Didn't Even Know The Male Lead Yet, But When They Finally Showed Him He Is Cute, So Gorgeous... (My 2 Most Favorite Actors Whom I Love, And Adore So Very Much Are Wang YiBo, And Xiao Zhan. But I Have So Many More That I Love Too...) Wang HeDi The Very 1st Chinese Male Lead That I Started Liking, Whom I Now Love.
I Didn't Like The Story Line Very Much, I Hate That She Had To Live 3 Life Times... Her 2nd Life, And Being All Alone By Herself, ANNOYING!!! And Even The One Time She Remember, It Still Didn't Go As Planned. The Little Sparrow, Her Boyfriend Got The Raw End Of The Deal, Getting There Memories Taken From Them Just Because They Fell In Love, Then She Got That Meteror Mark On Her Forehead. The Girl That Played The Sparrow Girl Was So Adorable, I Though She Herself Was So Cute,, And Adorable.

The Acting And Everything Was Great, And Awesome... I've Read People Complaining That Wang HeDi Was Lifeless, With No Facial Expressions... He Is A Dragon King That Has Lived For 100's, And 100's Of Years, He's Been Tortured, And Turned Back Into A Baby Dragon. He Can't Even Be With The Girl He Wants To Be With, And He Has To Wait 3 Life Times, And Even At That, Everything Is Still Not To Expectations... So I Think His Faceless Expressions Were Perfect...

I Though That Wang HeDi, And All The Other Actors, And Actresses Did A Wonderful Job Acting. All The Roles, And Parts Played Were Portraited Very Well By All.
This Is My Most 1st Drama I Ever Watched So It Will Always Be One Of My Favorite's And When I Accidentally Come Accross It I Will Watch It, Because It Is Very Fun, Funny, And Exciting.
I Will Admit There Are A Lot Of Twists, And Turns That May Come As A Shocker At The End. Anyways If You Love Wang HeDi, And Dragons, Then Thie Is A Good Movie For You... Like I Said The Only Thing I Didn't Like Was The Story Line... Everything Else Was Great, And Wonderful!!! Even When Wang Hedi Dragon Character Was So Cool, And So Awesome!!!
I Watched All 37 Episodes In 3 Days So If That Doesn't Tell You How Addicted I Was To It, I Don't Know What Will. Just Because I Didn't Like The Story Line Doesn't Mean It Was Not A Fun, And Exciting Story, Because It Was.

Worth a watch if you like the genre or actors

This definitely isn't an objective 10/10. But it has some good moments, decent visuals, and a good cast of actors. The main theme of multiple lifetimes keeps it fresh with new settings, new cast of supporting characters, and different aspects to the main cast, all of which helps sustain the show through its 36 episodes. Music goes well with the scenes too and tracks aren't bad on their own either.
Most reviews agree it's far from the best performances for the lead actors and that's probably true but it's not terrible either. I've seen both lead actors in other series and that's why I started this one. I'm quite satisfied but don't see myself watching it again. Knowing how the story will unfold would take away a lot of the enjoyment I think.

Its TRASH. Dont waste your time!!!

So I watched this c-drama a couple of months ago and thought I should do a quick review before anyone else wastes their time on it. there are about 37 eps I think and it had a lot of potential but.,. This cdrama wasted 29 eps of my time. I don't even know why I stayed for that long like I should have just dropped it. It was so repetitive and I urge you not to waste time. long story short - the girl and dragon have many lifetimes and in every one of them, they can't stay together because I think the dragon brings misfortune to her. Anyways I was tryna stay hold thinking it will get better like if you have ever seen any lifetime cdrama you know it's not that bad. It's the same fall in love, can't be together x3 and then happy ending. But NO in this one they fall apart 100x lol. anyways ITS A WASTE OF TIME DONT BOTHER WITH IT. only the first 10-15 eps were okay-ish. I gave it 7/10 only for the beginning and the ost. It was trash. bye.

Familiar Plot, No Hook!

It’s a decent series, but I dropped it because it didn’t hook me. The plot felt familiar, and it seems like the male leads are what excite people the most. The female lead is okay, but I didn’t feel any chemistry between them. I liked the different stories in each lifetime, but it got boring. I ended up skipping parts and just couldn’t finish it

Too much heartache for me

First off - I wanted to complete this drama, I love Wang Hedi. He is perfect for these characters who start out emotionless and who develop deep feelings after a time. I don't know how his portrayal could have been described as a 'plank' - you can see the feelings in his eyes. He and the FL had chemistry - not the kind that blows your mind with passion, but a quiet kind of soulful connection that makes you long for a happy ending for both of them. After all the hype I read about the second couple, they were just so-so for me. She was flighty and silly most times, and he was more the plank than anyone. Still, I would have liked a better ending for them too.

I'm not bashful about wanting happy endings - they are why I watch these fantasy dramas. If I wanted real-life, I would stick to historical productions (which I avoid unless they are not filled with tragedy and endless violence). So, I left while the going was good and while I could still imagine them living through another reincarnation and finally having the happiness they deserved.

Wth is this

Was looking forward to this show because it was adapted from a fairly popular Chinese visual novel. Saw the casts, hmm maybe it will be decent. Watched first ep, HMMM i will give it a few more chances. Now, dropped. It's bad, like really bad, idek how they produce a drama this badly.

This adaptation could have been way better with better casting and production. Feels like the production doesn't care about the actual characters and story at all. The dragon human form isn't supposed to be a block of emotionless wood! Read and understand the original source before producing an adaption! Even the CG snake has better acting than the male lead.

Other than the obvious bad acting skill (that pushed the male actor onto the "Ai/Block of wood" ranking on Chinese sites), whats with the servant being dressed better than the lady?? The main appeal of the visual novel is that "a servant also
can have a love story", but the production ruined the experience entirely with their poor planning and script writing. There are way worst than this in the drama, if you are interested to see how bad it is, watch it, if not. Don't waste your time. This drama is a disgrace to the visual novel.

Prefer the second lead

Story:
The story was started pretty promising, yet after the beginning of the second reincarnation part, the story of the main leads became boring. It's the opposite of the second leads story, which I found more interesting. Though they started their love story at the slow burning pace, however in the end I thought their story was much more suitable as main plot.

Acting:
I also prefer the acting of the second leads. Bamby Zhu has more emotional side in her acting that Dylan Wang. She actually did a good job in her three roles, proof she is not just amateur. On contrary, Dylan Wang was a disappointment. His acting was flat, can not feel his deep love for the female lead.
