Wth is this

Was looking forward to this show because it was adapted from a fairly popular Chinese visual novel. Saw the casts, hmm maybe it will be decent. Watched first ep, HMMM i will give it a few more chances. Now, dropped. It's bad, like really bad, idek how they produce a drama this badly.

This adaptation could have been way better with better casting and production. Feels like the production doesn't care about the actual characters and story at all. The dragon human form isn't supposed to be a block of emotionless wood! Read and understand the original source before producing an adaption! Even the CG snake has better acting than the male lead.

Other than the obvious bad acting skill (that pushed the male actor onto the "Ai/Block of wood" ranking on Chinese sites), whats with the servant being dressed better than the lady?? The main appeal of the visual novel is that "a servant also
can have a love story", but the production ruined the experience entirely with their poor planning and script writing. There are way worst than this in the drama, if you are interested to see how bad it is, watch it, if not. Don't waste your time. This drama is a disgrace to the visual novel.

A Love to last centuries

I'm loving this drama as it's full excitement in love and war, it's funny, sad and sometimes you cheer when bad guy finally get caught. Then we have immortal of fate mingge xingjun who always smile and gives and get what he is needed to trade (played by Zhuzan jin who I keep waiting to be bad but he's not) Then we have Qing Qing who is a Blue bird elf and is so cute and naive with big eyes and an an adorable smile. She has a meteor mark on her farhead and hates it so she goes to immortal of fate who send her to get the string of the flute. This is where she meets the Lord of Luofang pavilion- Xue Qian xun who doesn't smile and is always ordering her around until she finally melts his cold exterior and they slowing fall in love. Then we have the Dragon king who is as faithful and caring as he follows his one and only true love thru the century of rebirth and protecting/taking care of her any way possible even if it's to borrow or take from heaven or other Lord's. She has been reborn 3 times thru the century's as: 1) Liu yang 2) Yuan A fa 3) Feng Chen yue 4)Gu. Qing yan
During her 1st life she has found hurt blue bird who she healed and then took Human form and stayed by her side 3 century's.
She originally healed bluebird, marble the cat and dragon king. Her next life watches as the DK marries her friends in order to save her. Then we have him making her marry the emperor in order to save both of them. Then we have them almost married when lord of luofang & immortal of fate appear telling them they need to wait until she is an immortal by her 18th birthday. Then everything is out of sorts as more demons want her soul and the school helps to kill the demons. Then we have the immortal of fate that gives DK a book that Xue quin wanted to know what happened with him & QingQing. Once they read it, it seems DK stole the nunna stone(accident) in which causes Xue quin to be caught leaving his post in order to help Qing Qing who was attack by a demon so he is hit with lightning 7x and Qing Qing take the last bolt that kills her and he send her to be recarnated. Once together Xie quin kisses Qing Qing and she slips into a Coma and we find out that immortal of fate didn't tell them with a kiss will be pain/death and he was one who actually started everything the moment DK wanted to protect Liu yang life.and soul. He has her born to be a princess in order to marry the emporer as nourishment for the soul and power, then he has born into a military family to be strong and knowledge and finally to cultivate immortality at the kunlan sect for a purer soul. With her soul taken he will be powerful enough to take over the three realms in heaven, but not everything happens the way he wants. He takes over Xue Gian minds and has him attacked DG over and over while trying to kill him. In the meantime the immortal of fate tosses up the soul taker and pulls Qing yan in as working then DK falls to the ground dying she becomes alert and gives him her soul and then colasp to the ground. DK is now really pissed off and takes his revenge on the immortal and heaven. You need to watch and fill in all the missing excitement and drama not noted above.

Pleasantly surprised.

I just finished watching MISS THE DRAGON. I was expecting something similar to Legend of the White Snake but this one was 10 times better. Idk why people thought it was boring. Or that they liked the secondary characters better. They were cute but the main characters and storyline were excellent. I don’t watch a lot of Cdramas, esp the fantasy kind but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The CGI was pretty decent. I love the scenery used. Dylan Wang being young didn’t take away from his character. He played the Dragon King well and completely absorbed that persona. The ending was a bit rushed and confusing but I still liked it.

Disappointed in the end

Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. The storytelling moved fluidly, although towards the end it left much to be desired. I enjoyed going through the lives of the main actress though some needed to be shorter than others. I would of enjoyed seeing more of her third life as a general and her interactions with the Dragon King. Though I came for the Dragon King, I found myself cheering for the second couple half way through the show when Dragon King and Liuying kept having to be kept away from each other, minus the time he spent with her when she was the general.

I did not enjoy the ending however. The only couple who got a resolution was the second couple. The ending for Dragon King and Liuying left much to be desired. Like, what happened in the end?? Did they stay in the immortal trapping nest forever? Did they fix the Sky Net? Did they ever get their happily ever after? We can only assume that Lone Star and Swallow get a happy ending since they were able to become a couple. I really wanted to know if Liuying and Dragon King was able to finally live happily together after all they endured, especially Dragon King protecting her for centuries, and you don't find out. I was so mad at that. The ending frustrated me when I watched it and still frustrates me now.

A beautiful tale of a devil's love for a mortal girl...

A beautiful tale of a devil's love for a mortal girl, based on Chinese mythology about celestials and reincarnation. It's a captivating blend of numerous obstacles, even tragic ones, with pure, selfless, and vibrant relationships. The dragon accompanies his beloved throughout her reincarnations, both visibly and invisibly, forced to watch her embraced by other men, yet willing to do anything for her sake. The drama features two love stories—one primary and one secondary—and two main male characters: the thousand-year-old devil and the celestials. Both must maintain an impartial and cool demeanor, and under these circumstances, the acting is ample. Every emotion is visible in their eyes. The casting is exquisitely aesthetic. Dylan as Long Yan is insanely handsome and ethereal in every role, and there are many in the drama. The head of the Lofeng Palace is a complex character, perceived in two ways, but the actor's performance was ample for a supporting character. The female characters are bright, lively, and sensitive, and the actresses excelled.  The visuals of the locations are stunning, the views are breathtaking. The costumes are a separate art form, with multi-layered hanfu and stunning decorations. The music is beautiful and perfectly suits the narrative. The drama is a visual delight for romantics. Delightful, elegant, and seamless.

Been wanting a drama that is mostly romance focused? This is it for you.

Due to lukewarm reviews, I waited on this drama but fortunately I saw friends who were watching it and creating content for it. I decided to watch it for myself and I surprisingly liked it a lot! My advice for people is to always give the drama a try for yourself. You never know what's going to latch onto you. I truly didn't think I was going to like this but I did. The biggest thing to understand to set your expectation is that the drama is like 90% romance and romance-related points. Any serious suspenseful plot threads are not touched upon often enough but will come to the foreground toward the end of the drama.

PLOT: A lone dragon king, Yuchi Longyan, while going through trials to ascend into immortality, gets hurt and drops into the mortal realm. A sweet and kind servant Liu Ying takes care of him (at the request of her Miss, Xia Hou Xue) and their relationship develops as her care and personality intrigues him and he learns more about humans. To repay her kindness, he promises to marry her--which ends up being a promise that hurt them both when Longyan learns a secret about Liu Ying and Xia Hou Xue and he ends up needing to protect Xia Hou Xue for three lifetimes to protect Liu Ying. The drama then is about those lifetimes, their sorrows and joys, and whether they can reunite happily.
The drama also has the second couple's storyline which was quite well done in terms of their organic development and reveals. The bird demon Qing Qing is on a mission to get rid of the meteor mark on her forehead (which has ruined her status and beauty as the prettiest bird demon) and will do whatever it takes--even if it means breaking into the Lord of Luofeng Pavilion's home and stealing an item. However, when she is caught by Xue Qianxun, the Lord of Luofeng, she is punished to be his maid for 100 years. Xue Qianxun is suspicious of Qing Qing and keeps her around to see what she is really up to and why she has an effect on him.

CHARACTERS AND ACTORS:
-Yuchi Longyan is your ML who loves once and loves forever and will do everything and sacrifice his own life if necessary for his beloved. He was fine as a character and Dylan's portrayal of him is either a hit or miss. Because Longyan is a lone dragon and doesn't get much social interaction and is mostly ostracized or feared by other gods/immortals etc., he can be awkward and expressionless. I think Dylan did well in that aspect. He may be thousands of years old as an entity but is also like a child in the human sense. However, some people might find Dylan's acting too wooden and stiff. For me, I just got used to it. I didn't really like his aesthetic and looks on this drama (something about the hair and his eyebrows...) but I also just got used to it.

-Liu Ying is such an interesting FL! Because of the different lifetimes, she gets to have different personalities and backgrounds and it's quite fun! Bambi's acting is perfect for this role. I totally forgot that she was one of the female antagonists in "Ten Miles of Peach Blossom" and so I didn't even realize that she could act "evil" or anything like that! She was perfect as a sweet and pure girl and then, later down the road, as other kinds of personalities too.

-Qing Qing is such a cute and funny second FL. She's loyal and protective and isn't afraid to express herself. Pan Meiye was also perfect for this role. I never felt off about her acting and thought she was just adorable.

-Xue Qian Xun is a stoic and cold second ML and Deng Wei totally did him perfect. His cold expressions that slowly opens up because of Qing Qing, he and Meiye were a delight to watch together.

OST:
The OST can really make or break a drama and fortunately for this drama, it really made it! The OST is moving and memorable. I especially have a couple songs on repeat right now because it hit me deep. Some singers that some folks might recognize like Henry Huo. My favorite is Shuang Sheng's Flowing Back song. Oof, it hurts.

The CGI is a bit rough considering that this is like a middle-level production, but it has surprisingly good moments like a fireflies scene. The costumes and overall set production is good enough. I don't have any specific memory of a favorite outfit but it was good enough that made it distinct.

This drama is good for people who enjoy cheesy or typical romance of historical/costume dramas who don't want to get bogged down by a lot of political or serious plots. You don't have to think too much while watching this drama and can enjoy the sweetness and comedy of the couples. It's also surprisingly at times poignant and leaves several deep impressions. There are two kinds of coupling here so you can enjoy the deeply dramatic romantic couple AND the comedy romantic couple.

This drama is not good for people who wants historical accuracy (the physical setting of this drama is not based in any real historical setting; it's a different world), who wants serious complex and complicated plots.

Miss The Dragon (English, Español, Français)

A maiden, Liu Ying, finds a snake among cherry blossoms and tries to help it. This snake turns out to be a dragon demon who wants to marry her in appreciation for it. However, what at first is a show of kindness later turns into true love.
From my point of view, on the one hand, the story is quite good, it's beautiful and captivates you from the beginning. The actors correctly represent their characters and the visual effects they add are realistic. On the other hand, the development of the story can sometimes become monotonous and long, although this can be an advantage to keep the viewer on edge. In my opinion, the problematic point is in the end. This one isn't disastrous, but it could have been more satisfying.
To conclude, I have to say that, despite some things that I did not like, the series is recommendable and can make you feel very nice emotions.

Cute funny but too repetitive

Well I had to edit my review because I forgot there were 36 episodes. Most of which are flashbacks, slow mo, slow walking…. Nothing that adds value to the story itself. Yeah ok one flashback once in awhile fine every episode…. It reminded me of ice fantasy where they showed the same flashback over and over again

Starts off typical but cute. But then the other story arcs are a bit repetitive. They prob could have pulled a Netflix and did this all in 8-10 episodes..

It’s low budget considering there’s prob less 8 actors total, one room that gets redecorated etc. M
It adds in pieces of the main story between the arcs as per all drama. Mot really any side stories it’s better to skip the constantly flashbacks and slow mo movement.

The 2nd ML and FL is actually pretty well done. Their story was unique and caught me off guard.

Then the ending just confused me I had to look on Reddit and read other peoples interpretation.

Over it’s good just takes way too long to get to the point

I enjoyed watching this shows because it brings be a lot of news things in other countries culture. I also enjoy watching this because I love the characters that are in this movie specially because of Dylan. I love how he act and I'm happy that he got the main role in this drama. Absolutely disappointing ending and cruel writers of the script

I couldn't bear to watch Yuchi Longyan have to live all these "lives" of the main character Liu Ying for so many years, it was too painful... ...and the beginning was so sweet for the two main characters.... when Dragon YL didn't know earthly life and was just getting to know.... I watched 10 episodes and the last episode, the rest of the episodes I read the synopsis...
I agree with @Onelovestorie's comment below...."The stupid 'lifetimes' were so stupidly executed and the reasoning behind the whole charade was so ridiculous!" I have the impression that the writers of the script either have some psychopathic inclinations and enjoy making the heroes of their stories suffer, or they write under the influence of some kind of alcohol intoxication .... because I do not believe that you can invent such mental and physical torture for the characters sober. I think that 1 "lifetimes" would be enough, it's still too much to look at a loved one from the side, extending it to 4 "lifetimes" didn't make sense .... and also this idiotic ending, fatal for me and not giving the main characters a chance for a normal life after all these sufferings.... because where did they finally land in the realm of the spirit? So, in fact, they live somewhere out there without being material ... well, really, congratulations to the screenwriters for such a final sloppy thing that YL and LY funded ... After such scenarios, I don't want to watch the next fantasy dramas...

This was so worth watching if you love a fantasy drama. I mean these four actors which I love Dylan Wang who played the Dragon King, Bambi Zhu who play 4 different personalities, Den Wei a new actor who played Lord of Luofeng Pavillion, and then you have bluebird played by Pan Mei Ye. Dylan Wang had an important main lead role in the Dragon King. I mean, so good, so talented, I love this actor (sorry I already said that). Those costumes he was wearing and that last one... so handsome. I loved him in Ever Night Pt 2, Meteor Garden and by the heart of me don't understand why the rating is 7.7. If you don't rate this high then you are not one that loves a great fantasy. I mean everything was put in place, the visuals of the Martial Arts, the immortal magic... the Heavenly Palace... the dragon pool. I mean it was all there and none of it look faked well except the wolves. LMao. This drama had a little humor added to it not much but a taste of it. You had to smile! Bambi Zhu was absolutely wonderful. I am glad her storylines were not so naive and silly. She played all her parts like she was supposed to and loved how she played a strong military General. Den Wei, a new actor, and wow another handsome one. He did really well being this was his first drama. I was very impressed by him. Pan Mei Ye. I mean, she was the actress who brought the humor... she didn't overdo her part but was excellent in bringing her character to the fold. I loved it. This is a rewatch for me. I stayed focused on each episode. Thank you to the team of Miss the Dragon, I hope there will be a part 2 because of how it ended. Enough said.

Great, I loved the Secondary Couple!

WOW! let me start with I really enjoyed this drama. I was looking forward to it when I heard Dylan Wang was playing as the lead. Four episodes in and I was like Dylan WHO???? Dang Wei stole the show for me! I was completely obsessed with the second couple!!! I have to say I anticipated their scenes more than the main couple. True to most Chinese Drama's this puts your heart through an emotional rollercoaster! Yuchi (Wang's character) shows from start to finish just how strong and true his love is for LiuYing. I cried for them and screamed at the tv. Yuchi was so easy to love, His devotion is cherished, the lengths that he went to, to protect his beloved. - I had to put in here I kept psyching myself out every time I saw the side profile or back of Wang I was expecting it to be Luo Yunxi. I have no idea why. QianXun (Wei's character) I instantly fell for his handsome face and his ice cold Brooding demeanor only made me crave him more! He was not prepared for all the craziness of QingQing. I loved every interaction they had, their bond was definitely a slow burn! It was cute and funny. Once you get further into the show you realize there is a past between these two and for some reason they have forgotten it. Zhu ZanJin is in this show, he plays the immortal of fates. For me,This dude will forever be the perfect bad guy. As soon as I saw him I instantly cursed and knew his character was going to be trouble! lol Surprise, Surprise he definitely deserved all my cursing lol. he just plays a fantastic villain, they need to give this guy a good guy role soon, but no one can pull off a malicious smile quite like him! I really enjoyed this drama I finished it in about two weeks. The only thing I was a disappointed in was for the main couple, after all they had to endure I felt like their ending was a bit anticlimactic. but since my couple was the secondary couple it didn't really change how much I enjoyed it, I was just a tad upset for them. I definitely recommend this drama! The love story will make you swoon and the bromance will have you hysterical with laughter!
