Sweet & Healthy Love Story

When I need a brain cleanse from drama trauma, this is one of the shows I’ll rewatch - seeing these childhood friends reunite as a surgeon & legal intern who fall in love sets my drama world right again.

The ML is a well-established surgeon. Despite his young age, he’s highly respected in his field by his fellow doctors & medical staff. This doesn’t make him arrogant or egotistical, though, as he remains a kind man who truly cares for his patients. He can come across as cold or unfeeling at times but that’s only when someone is trying to interfere in the well-being of his patients. Initially, he’s not happy with the FL’s presence, as her role as a sort of hospital legal liaison between the patients & medical staff tends to be a hinderance to him doing his job. But once he realizes who she is - the young girl he never forgot, the one he’s been hoping would return - everything changes. No longer eager to push her away, he’s now determined to pursue her & guarantee he never loses her from his life again.

The FL is dismayed when she’s assigned to the position at the hospital for her internship. She’s worked so hard to become a lawyer, but it seems this position might stop her from reaching her goal. She’s an optimistic woman, though, who’s determined to secure a position at the law firm so she sets out to tackle the problematic doctor refusing to cooperate with her. Unknown to her, he’s the same boy from her childhood that she’s been missing all these years. And since she doesn’t recognize him, his sudden pursuit of & flirting with her leaves her confused. As she spends more time working in the hospital, she comes to admire his good heart & work ethics. She begins to understand the weight on the doctor’s shoulders & the heavy responsibilities they carry, leading her to become a stronger advocate in defending them against unruly patients.

I truly loved this drama. And each time I rewatch it, I’m reminded of just how great of a dram it is. Did it change my life? No. Does it have a unique storyline? No. Is there some stellar point that makes it stand out from the rest? No. But none of that was what I was looking for or expecting from this drama so I don’t care. I love it for its simplicity & refreshing characters.

I appreciate that there’s not a ton of angsty drama & plot twists. We’re not introduced to love rival after love rival, nor do we have to endure a cast of toxic characters. There’s not any villain-esque family members nor backstabbing colleagues. Sometimes I enjoy those things, but I’m also happy when they’re absent from the show. I’m glad the writer’s left this as an easy & light watch that didn’t give me unnecessary stress from worrying how it will end.

The Leads are so good together. The actors have great chemistry that plays out so well on-screen. They have such a healthy relationship, which is what I expect from two mature adults (though we often don’t get that in our dramas. Bleh.). They’re both kind individuals who want to help those in need - one through medicine, the other with the law. They’re dedicated & not afraid of hard work. They support one another fully & believe in each other unconditionally. The bond they shared as children laid the foundation on which they build their adult relationship. Their backstory is so cute & I loved seeing their childhood scenes play out in parallel to them as adults.

I love how they only ever see each other, no matter if others show interest in them. They each have an interested colleague but when those parties make it known, the Leads immediately make their status clear & leave no room for misunderstandings. I really like when this is done because I hate watching characters cater to the love rivals out of “concern” for their feelings. It just always makes me like, “Um, hello? Your significant other’s feelings are the ones that matter most!” It also just leads to so many misunderstandings that I end up frustrated & annoyed with the Leads, lessening my enjoyment of the show. So again, I’m very glad that wasn’t the case with My Little Happiness. 🤗

I also love how they’re openly affectionate with each other. They’re constantly holding hands, hugging, flirting, cuddling, & kissing. Ooh, boy are they kissing! 🔥🫠 I haven’t actually verified this to be true, but I don’t think an episode goes by without a kiss scene of some sort after they’re a couple. And most episodes have multiple (thank you, writers!) This makes them seem like a real couple. I never understand why some dramas make the Leads all awkward & shy with each other once they start dating. {{I mean, I get it initially but in real life we get over it so why don’t they in some dramas??}} This duo isn’t like that at all. The ML is so head-over-heels for her that he can’t help but physically show it & the FL is all too willing to follow his lead.

It’s nice to see that they’re both super independent & capable in their careers but they allow themselves to be dependent on each other outside of that. Again, a healthy & mature relationship. I love them! 💕

Bonus - the second couple’s story is one that adds to the show rather than simply being a scene filler. Their interactions bring humor to the screen, adding to the smiles the Leads already provide us. And their respective relationships with the Leads (females are besties, males are relatives) are so healthy & realistic that it’s another check mark in the pros column for this drama. ✅

If you’ve read this far & are still unsure, stop hesitating & just push play!

**Fun fact: our Leads co-starred in “Put Your Head on My Shoulder”. She as the female lead, while he was the second male lead. They had a messy relationship in that drama, so it’s actually really fun to watch them be so completely different in this one.**

Too Cute cdrama that you should watch, if you finished " Put Your Head on My Shoulder "

First of all there isn't any love triangles or love rivals who we can always see in an almost every cdramas, That's the first reason
that this series is worth watching.
And then as you know the Female Lead - Xing Fei acting all cute here
and the kissing scenes and the lot of romantic stuff not only from the Lead couple but also you'll be able to see from the Second
Lead couple too.
And the end is the best.

Actually I watched this drama because of the Female Lead, I got to know from the cdrama " Put Your Head On My Shoulder" and got attracted to her dramas , because of her short height and when she put up with a tall Male lead , it's too cute.
So that can be consider as the Main reason to watch this drama.

Anyhow You should watch this Drama,
Light drama ,
No Mental Stress,
No Twists.
No Love trangles,
No love rivals

Rainbows and unicorns!

This is a rom-com that was big on romance. We are talking about the sweetest, purest type, not puppy love or confused feelings (that took 40 episodes to sort out) but undying love between mature, intelligent adults. Yes, it was tropey and had lots of cliché moments but love stories are the oldest stories ever told (well, shortly after "how I single-handedly killed the mammoth" one). The problem for modern audiences is that we are fed too many romantic shows that are trying too hard to be relevant. OTP going strong? We'll add the psycho ex-BF. Life too sweet? We'll add the evil Mother-in-Law. Drama for drama sake is a curse nowadays.
This is why this show worked for me. It stayed focused on the main plot and added spices to make it interesting and developed the plot but never to the point where you facepalmed. It is dramaland after all so there were unrequited love and love triangles but they were dealt with sensibly and maturely. Peoples' feelings were hurt but they took it in their strides and moved on. Misunderstanding and jealousy were just islands in a sea of sweet love rather than the other way around.
It helped that the main actors were so good and they were playing roles appropriate to their age and style. Initially, I thought the ML was going to be the tropey cool, aloof male god type but I was so wrong. Before the end of the first episode he transformed into the most adorable love sick puppy and he stayed in character for the whole show!
I'm particularly happy with Fei Xing, I watched her in "Put your head on my shoulder" and she was a naïve college student back then and did well (not as good as this show). She was a trainee lawyer in this show and she had definitely matured and grew. This I'm so happy to see as I have seen other actors being type casted in the high school/college student roles and can't ever grow up. She looked beautiful in most scenes and both the chemistry and skinship with the ML were great and believable. Swoon!
The 2OTP were interesting too. Definitely had a more complicated relationship compared to the leads but it was good to see that they weren't standard pairing of the best friends just to park them somewhere while the OTP was put through hell and back. They had their significant moments and you could ship them easily. It was a bit of a shame that their storyline seemed to ran out of steam once they got together. Not that they didn't have more cute moments but I felt they had peaked.
All the support casts were good. They helped to move the plot along and give us the feels when it was warranted. Some of their banters were great and helped to bring us into their world.
OST was very good. Nice happy tunes and love songs to match the tone of the show. Rewatch is mandatory if you liked this show in the first place.
This was a sweet, warm and uplifting show. It never pretended to be a slice of real life. This was 100% fluff but what glorious fluff! There are positive messages but not preachy or straight out propaganda. Anyone who wanted angsts, break-ups, forced separations, evil plots should watch something else. Just leave me to binge this while eating a tub of chocolate ice cream. Bliss!

I would have given this drama a lower score if it hadn't been for the amazing chemistry between Xing Fei and Tang Xiao Tian who carried most of the show. The premise of a boy crushing on a girl for over 20 years despite not having been together for most of their lives was interesting; however, it was less credible for me IRL. But keeping in mind this is a drama after all, I had to suspend disbelief, like I did with Wen Rang and Cheng Cheng's relationship. The episodes could be cut in half and still convey the same story. A lot of filler scenes especially towards the last few episodes.

This is the first drama that i dare to give grade before i even finished watching ^_^. Really enjoy this drama. This drama is so flully, funny & but also a simple drama with not many conflict... But of course they still have their shortage.

Yeah every fans of put your head on my shoulder (PYHOMS) will gonna watch this, because it's like alternate universe where si tu mo & fu pei became together. But can i said you have to watch this because of that reason....? No, not really. In the PYHOMS i don't really like fu pei & this drama for me is also set in far more mature setting than in PYHOMS. But put Fair Xing & Daddi Tang together in this drama really the right decision, they so suitable together, maybe more suitable than with Lin Yi that played as Gu Wei Yi in PYHOMS.

What i love:
+ I really like Wen Shao Qing (SQ) character. Oh he really so sure to wait for Cong Rong (CR) without sure will CR have partner or not, yeah we always adored this kind of relationship, don't we...? Because in reality this is really seldom happen to us or anyone ^_^. What i love about SQ not because of that though. He sure can protect CR, but he also sometimes love to tease CR.
+ SQ & CR chemistry. They so perfect together. I love how the writer not only show us the happy side but also show the downside of them, Yeah yeah i know don't all the drama have it...? I mean i love how the writer show us SQ show his weakness to CR when there is lawsuit against him, he's not try to hide it from CR. CR herself also show she sure can & will protect & stick to SQ. Really love the speech in their wedding.
+ They not delay or prolong the plot with the twist in CR & SQ childhood story or even love rival. They just quite to the point in this aspect.
+ Zhou Cheng Cheng (CC) & Wen Rang (WR) is really sweet couple. Sometimes you don't know what hit you until it hit you. Really funny how in the end CC became CR 'aunt'. One of the funnies dialogue that i've watch in all the drama so far is the word when WR propose to CC: "when we have kids our kids will gonna called uncle/aunt & we win"
+ SQ grandma is so funny.
+ Show us doctor problem not only about life & death of the patient or just about the sickness but also sometimes there is complication with the patient family.

What i see as shortage in this drama:
- Do they really have to do the internship in the company / hospital where they have to manage...? i don't think so. Normally it's supposed still in the company where they do the internship, don't they...?
- Why the intern (not even doctor intern) wear white coat, doesn't the coat specially for doctor only...? When CR wear doctor coat, i already raise my elbow.
- Why CR must get the evidence herself...? When she ask for Xiong Jing Jing (JJ) for help i think she will gonna ask for her to get the evidence instead ask her to replace herself at the court. It's like the writer just impose emphasize how important SQ to CR, but logically it supposed to be more realistic if JJ to get evidence & CR to go to the court or just wait until tomorrow, does it really have to be today...?

Overall this is a good but simple drama with no much drama in the plot :P. If you look for this kind of drama you sure will gonna love this drama like i do. Re-watch...? Definitely love to re-watch this drama :D

Smart, Lovely Fluff That

This is intelligent fluff. All the drama tropes are here: tsundere, childhood love, etc but they are done so smartly and well by the leads, you fall in love with the story any way.

This features the FL in Put Your Head on My Shoulder with the SML as her leading man here and they have great chemistry and act so well. The female lead is smart and independent but falls head over heels for the ML who dutifully earns and keeps her trust and love. The secondary characters are also smart and funny. The elder actors also highlight the family centered nature of this drama.

This is 28 short and sweet episodes of romance and family.

Feel good story

Just finished this drama and i’d say this is a feel-good drama, nice and simple to watch. No major crisis and no unnecessary annoying third party plot.

This is my second time watching the ML after the sword and the brocade (though at first i have to google from where did i see him first. Lol). The chemistry between ML and FL is thru the roof, though the height difference sometimes made me pity the FL’s neck. Lol. The ML portrayed as a doctor is quite believable, as also with the FL as a lawyer. Not much medical thingy is portrayed so less chances to get it wrong, which is always a good thing.

Quite an amount of screentime is being given to the second leads, and i must say, i am quite involved in their love story as well, wen rang and zhou chengcheng made it interesting enough for the second plot, so as not to make time spent on them annoying and worth skipping, like with some of the second leads from other dramas.

All in all, recommended watch for filler in between complicated, heavier costumes dramas.

Your everyday chinese romcom drama but part of the very few that works so well!!

One of the best light chinese romantic dramas i've watched over the years.

The most important thing I would have to say is that this drama really did well with the flirting and the main lead's chemistry without overdoing it nor making it cringey. Also, I give it extra points for the fact that it's a male chase female drama, he treated her really well from the beginning, showed her like a man that he liked her from the start without playing hard to get nor forcing her to like him; he wasn't your typical cold tsundere type, another thing is that both leads are smart n pretty cool. I loved how the female lead wasn't dumb or naive, she was bold and cute at the same time, she stands up for herself and is ambitious, hard-working and confident in herself. She cares about her friends and is always ready to help people with their problems especially regarding her work in the law firm.

I loved all the side stories, the scriptwriters did really well on giving enough time to explain every story and the background of the supporting roles because I've seen dramas where they didn't contribute as much time for the supporting roles and some conflicts and background stories seemed forced. I was so into the second couple, they were super cute, the guy was caring to the girl and she helped him overcome her past love.

I liked how there wasn't really a super evil antagonist scheming to ruin anyone lives apart from the little jealousy they all got over in a couple of eps. So, it's suitable for anyone who is craving something sweet and lighthearted without getting stressed. The drama is consistent and interesting without any major evil problematic plot, light and allows you to understand the hard work doctors and lawyers go through as well as people who go through struggles chasing their dreams or finding what they really want to do in their independent adult lives.

I'm very picky with my dramas and have different standards for dramas from different countries including korean, japanese, taiwanese, thailand and more. I don't tend to focus or notice music as much for chinese dramas (i just skip the intro), but I believe they did well in evoking the atmosphere for each scene and made me immersed. I also don't tend to rewatch dramas and I can even count the number of dramas I've rewatched (maybe around 6 lol), but this one is definitely worth watching for first-timers and rewatching.

Simple and Sweet

Not going into any details as we can read it in the "Detail" section. This drama is a light heart romantic drama with a good dose of cuteness, and the right amount of comedy. The chemistry was really good between the main leads. The second leads were great as well, let's say the second leads were as good as the main leads. Each and every supporting character did their respective parts perfectly, especially the cousin and mom of the female lead, they were just awesome. The story is not complicated and tangled.

Cute, fluffy and light

If you're tired of heavy tight packed dramas, this drama is your go to. The couples are cute, have good communication, no misunderstandings that causes the couple to break up for 10 episodes, no evil second leads or exaggerated love triangles and the second lead couple is super cute too. If you're like me and need something to watch while you get some work done, this is your drama. There's no plot twist you need to keep an eye on and the story is also pretty predictable. Overall it's a good drama if you're looking for something light-hearted and fluffy.

Well done! Have watched this drama twice.

I ve watched this drama twice. However I admit to skimming through on the first time and well the second time I skimmed through completely after episode 21? Nonetheless, I have an idea of what happened and should still be qualified to write a review yea? So instead of hating let’s open a friendly discussion and chat? :)

So I watched this drama somewhat thoroughly on my second watch. On the first time I did skimmed through but I was really just scouring for the highlights but this time my phone was glued to my face so I wouldn’t miss the main highlights of the show.

What can I say? It was a well done drama. It’s a good tv show. It’s romantic, lovely, heartwarming, decently passionate and oddly inspiring.

I mean this may be just a few word that I can describe this drama and my satisfaction of it right now but what more can I say? Except it was a good drama. It wasn’t exceptionally perfectly good but I mean what is? Right?

The story is a swoon worthy, romantic and loving love story between the main leads. Of childhood sweethearts finding one another once again after so many years. I mean the genuine love between the two was adorable and made me feel so many emotions at once it made my heart spin abit.

There is also love hate relationship at the very beginning for both main couple leads but that subside throughout the show as love started blossoming between them.

I mean the acting with the cast was ofc good. I am a fan of fair Xing. She is adorable witty smart courageous in this drama. Her character had a strong sense of justice and morality which is something that we can all learn.

There are elements of reality in terms of the interaction among the characters that some might relate in real life. But there are more elements that likely you don’t see very often in real life. Like the super sweet and almost cheesy romance and love the characters have with one another.

I mean a romance between a doctor and lawyer is such an ideal romantic pair up that in real life people reasonably hopes it might be true. But you don’t see it often or you just don’t know and this drama shows you a love story between this potential ideal couple profession.

Shows the troubles and hardship that both profession have to go through. Making us realise that from a laymen standpoint that is more than what meets The Eye when we first encounter a lawyer or a doctor. So we should all just be nice to everyone :)

The romance and passion, was good. The tension, passion and the Kiss scenes was well done. It really shows the passion with the characters sealing the deal between the two and just showing the passion that is still alive throughout their relationship. I mean for those believes like myself, that passion is a factor that pulls in anyone to a drama. Well it seems the characters here were well portrayed and their passion was well done. They weren’t stiff robots when they film kiss scenes like some other dramas. The actors were profession and skilled in making sure that passionate romance is been portrayed. Not just sweet love. ;)

I mean although the sweet and passionate love pulls one into this drama. The characters sense of justice, determination, perseverance in fulfilling their dreams and ambitions. Living the life they want to lead and be the person they wanna be and also work in a profession that they believe in.

I am a law student and after watching fair Xing portraying this trainee turn lawyer journey inspired and motivate me to get my butt Back up from the couch and actually get to work again. They don’t show the typical stereotypical stuff that lawyers are portrayed in the media but they kept it abit real in terms of the amount of work and time and energy that is placed in different cases and the sacrifices that one must make to fulfill their responsibilities to their clients same goes for other profession which is portrayed in this show.

Fair Xing character wants to do what’s right and fight for others. Not idly standing by and do nothing when in fact knows she could do absolutely something even if it’s risking her safety.

The supporting character were pretty good they weren’t a total bitch. They tried chasing the leads but kind gave up shortly after and became nice to the leads which is nice cos it’s exhausting constantly seeing somebody else ruining good people happiness ya know?

The cousin etc, were all adorable.

I felt pity for the male lead cos like he had to wait for her and willing to wait for god knows how long. How sweet is that? A little creepy at first cos he’s memory is only the little girl but again debatable. He got jealous but they reconciled after that little patch and were good after throughout which is good seeing constant crisis between the main leads are exhausting too.

After that you kinda naturally turn your attention to the other lead couple which I was rooting for so much almost as much as the main lead.

So would I recommend this? Yea. Considering you like what you see in this review. However some might see this drama differently so you can see for yourself what you think of it.

Would I recommend this? Sure maybe not soon but yes.

If you think the drama Put Your Head On My shoulder was good, this is even better

I think no one would be a stranger to Xing Fei and Tang Xiao Tian right? As and avid drama fan, I’ve watched many of their previous works! Since they’ve worked together before, you can expect their chemistry in this drama to be superb. The best part? I would say ALL the casts had superb chemistry (I watched all the BTS when I finished the series)

Comparing to PYHOMS, this is definitely targeted more to the YA. With cast all at the stage working towards their dreams and how one would walk out from previous relationship. This drama really tells a lot! I really liked how the second couple’s relationship progressed, it wasn’t rushed nor forced.

As for the main couple, I watched them interact like how a proud mom would! Love how WSQ persists and how he would flirt at times was totally cute! They really interact like how a normal couple would albeit a drama which I’m really glad they did.

The drama was paced well, and enough intense kiss scenes (winks winks). Usually comparing to K dramas I feel that C drama kiss scenes are a little conservative; but this definitely will satisfy fans!! You definitely have to watch this!
