The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

중증외상센터 ‧ Drama ‧ 2025
Similar concept of medical drama with each episode showing a different case but also growing with some hospital politics, just like this drama.
Season 2 and 3 are also good to watch.

you want to watch a medical k-drama where the main character is an absolute badass , doctors that seem more like a mafia , they do their own thing , while the whole hospital is against them , but somehow there is that one intern that is gonna believe in their abilities and follow them wherever they go , then you would like these .

The protagonist suffers from anger issues. Or rather, the people around him suffer from his anger issues. The protagonist is an intelligent, educated, and experienced doctor who puts his work above all else.

- Plot is different but concept is similar
- Doctors of different departments create a Medical Team to save patients

In both dramas, the main characters have something akin to a mentor and mentee relationship.
In both dramas, most of the hospital executives seem to be against them.
The mentors in both dramas are straight to the point and blunt.
The mentors could also be seen as medical genuises within the drama.

A Japanese drama where four new doctors choose to serve in the medical flight department. It is a fantastic drama that not only shows real emergency situations but also explores various human emotions and issues. They also go to the accident site using a helicopter.

Kousaku Aizawa left the hospital emergency room. He now works as a brain surgeon. Megumi Shiraishi works hard as a staff leader for flight doctors in a hospital emergency room. Mihoko Hiyama wanted to become a flight doctor in the past, but she left the hospital emergency room and now works as an ob-gyn. Kazuo Fujikawa works as an emergency physician specializing in orthopedics and works with Megumi Shiraishi. Haruka Saejima still works as a nurse for flight doctors.

They differ in terms of theme but are very similar in their style of exaggerated, fanciful humor (comic book style). Trauma Code takes a slightly more serious turn at times, yet The Kitchen Soldier also features moments filled with sensitivity and tenderness. Yoon Kyung-ho is a brilliant comic actor who appears in both series.

Main character of both dramas have the no-nonsense personality and their motivation stems from the past where system failed them.

- completely different stories BUT, if you love the "team-based" dramas, designated survivor is like that too. emphasis on team, because these dramas have two of some of my favorite teams assembled out of everything i've watched

Both are medical dramas where the male leads are both genius who can save a patient at the last minute. They both have the same personality that loves going against the board of directors, which makes them very disliked by colleagues. They also have an “apprentice” that follows them around. They dislike incompetency in doctors and are adamant in saving patients. Most importantly, Black Pean has Nino.

Both have similar themes when it comes of doctors and hospital staff responsibilities to our society, its just that The trauma Code more on the frontlines staffs, emergency accidents and how the doctors deal with it, while It's Okay, That's Love? Is more on psychology field where how phycologists and psychiatrists do their work and their patients. Also, both shows put the emphasis on the beauty of medical field and the story of people who have passion to their work working behind it, whether its internal(in the mind) or external (wounds that can be seen).
