Miman Keisatsu: Midnight Runner is the japanese drama remake of the korean movie Midnight Runner. The drama only covers the movie plot in the first few episodes.

They are similar since Miman Keisatsu is an adaptation of Midnight Runner but instead of a movie, it was turned into a series.

Both are Japanese Crime Drama Thrillers solving ONE CASE per EPISODE.

Both have team work / Police Officers duo working on the cases.

For both dramas, in the duo :

One is serious n the other is silly, haha.

I miss both the duos from both the dramas

Kai Honma (Kento Nakajima) and Jiro Ichinose (Sho Hirano) are cadets at the police academy. Kai Honma is smart, diligent and has excellent memory. At the police academy, he works on criminal profiling. Unlike Kai Honma, Jiro Ichinose is in excellent physical condition. He has a warm heart and honest personality.

Kai Honma and Jiro Ichinose get involved in cases while at the police academy. Based on knowledge they gained from their training, they solve cases with help of fellow cadets and detectives. During this time, Kai Honma and Jiro Ichinose become best friends.

Like Miman Keisatsu: Midnight Runner, it's about young future cops so trainee, we saw themstudies, their friendship and at the same time we saw a case all along the série they will try to resolve.

Both dramas have the same vibes.
Both dramas having the same background of police freshman / students.
Both dramas having a police docent who have unsolved case behind.

Just watch and you will love both dramas... funny cop duos... bromance includes ... detective novice has funny moments in it....

-both of them depicted the life being a police academy student.
-the academy students tried to solve real crime by themselves.
