I randomly decided watching not knowing it will become my favorite kdrama of all time

It's so good i wanted to give it an 11 rating but that's not possible so i give it a 10....
i rarely write reviews so i don't know how to meet that 300 character criteria, but i just want to say that i watched mouse last year and i haven't been that hooked to a plot in a long time every episode was filled with anticipation i finished it in 5 days, and i couldn't watch anything afterwards for weeks cause it felt bland. I love the plot, the plottwist, the acting and and the event pacing. I nearly missed out on the extra two "the predator's pov" episodes, but i'm so glad i did more digging into the drama and found them, they're as good and worth watching too.

.. this wasn't intended to be a professional review i just wanted to express this one bit of feeling.

Masterpiece

I just finished this and when I tell you this Drama is a masterpiece, I mean it.

The beginning was rather normal, for this show, at least. We thought we knew what was happening.
In the middle, I got confused as to why there were filler-like cases and was disappointed. Slowly, though, everything started to make sense. Everything was connected.
What we thought we understood in the beginning started having twists, things that weren't told showed up. It was as if they wabted to tell us the plot twist we thought we knew wasn't the main point of the show.
Literally EVERYTHING was connected, from the beginning to the end. And I think only geniuses can do this. Only geniuses can create such a masterpiece.

Mouse was... a journey. A psychological/crime drama full of details and plot twist, where literally everything is interconnected. Great watch, great story, great cast. On top of my favorites list :)

The only thing that felt slightly frustrating, was how the show was made not just to lead you on the wrong track, but make it virtually impossible to put the pieces together at times. You're meant to be confused. This is not a drama to skip through or watch with half your attention, unless you want to end up quite lost. I personally really enjoy trying to figure things out, and you could most probably have watched this one with a notepad if you wanted to. I could see how the things to keep track of could have been a little overwhelming at times. I honestly expected to be let down by plot holes since the story was so intricate, but everything was neatly tied up and the ending did not disappoint.

*Note : Because of some aspects like the psychopath predator genes, and some medical content, it should be seen as something of a Sci-Fi

Overall Satisying-Just don't go for a season 2

My friends recommended this drama, and I jumped to it right after Beyond Evil, which might have affected my judgment. I would say it started off strongly then it dropped when we had so many unexplored plot lines and the OZ organization was like a balloon that promised to pop only to wither away quietly.
I want more crime/thriller Korean dramas Mouse was good but they had many weaknesses that would be better fixed for the next drama.
So, what I liked were the acting Lee Seung Gi and the supporting cast all did a great job, Ko Mo Chi would do nicely in comedy and I love his short-fused reactions. The child actor would be a great actor in the future, overall it was a good watch, I recommend it.

One of the best suspense thriller drama!

Superb acting Lee Seung Gi!!! Mouse played with my brain so much! Like you wouldn't think it was him all along. They pointed everything on one guy, hinted in some scenes that he was actually the real psychopath then, they showed another scene that made you think again it wasn't him LOL. All I can say is that I loved the suspense and how everything played out.
I know everyone won't agree with me but O Bong I was so annoying and acted without thinking.....
Overall, I enjoyed each episode and how the story unfolded!!!!!.

A game of misdirection and gaslight

If you’re watching Mouse now, chances are you’re going in with expectations. This drama has been talked about a lot as recommendations, and a lot of people think they already know “the big reveal.” And honestly? You might. But that doesn’t mean the ride is any less wild.

Whatever you think it is, it probably is, but also isn’t. Or maybe it is… just not in the way you think.

Watching Mouse felt like being dragged into a long, exhausting, but strangely addictive guessing game. It’s one of those dramas where you’re constantly trying to stay one step ahead of the story, only for it to pull the rug out from under you again. Just when you think you’ve figured something out, it twists itself into a new shape.

I won’t pretend the drama is realistic. The way it handles psychopathy and its origins is exaggerated, sometimes even ridiculous. But I guess that’s part of the appeal. The show isn’t trying to be a grounded procedural either, it’s more interested in pushing ideas to the extreme and seeing how far it can go. If you can suspend disbelief, the premise becomes more intriguing than distracting.

What really made this drama work, though, is the cast. The acting did carry a lot here. Everyone seemed suspicious at some point, and the performances are convincing enough that you keep switching sides. One episode makes you sure it’s this person, the next makes you question everything again. That constant confusion is very much intentional, and it kept my attention.

By the time everything comes together, the drama left me mentally trying to retrace how we got from this point to another. Not every twist will land for everyone, but the drama commits fully to whatever went off.

Overall, watching Mouse was a crazy ride. Even if you think you’ve been spoiled, I’d still say give it a try. It doesn’t take away from the experience. If anything, the constant reframing makes the journey just as intense.

The best.

God, when i finished watching this drama i was like "the best drama i've ever watched".
And i think everybody has to watch it, and if you haven't watch it you're a LOSER. The story, the actors, music and every thing is just perfect in this drama and it's been a week and i can not stop thinking about it, cause it was awesome. Lee seung-gi's acting>>>>>>
And you can't guess what would happen even in 1 min later.
And no More words to say, just watch it and you would realize that how amazing it is.

This is the best thriller K-drama .

I'm still looking for a thriller as good as this one! The story and the plot twist are simply insane. The producers showed us scenes that made us think, "Okay, we know who the culprit is, now all that's left is for the protagonists to catch him," but then the final plot twist...
This is a somewhat heavier drama from the very first episode, but it's really worth watching. The entire dynamic, acting, and plot twist are perfect! But in the last few episodes, I cried a little because in the end both Jung Bareum and Yo Han were just laboratory experiments.

Catching the Mouse

Likes
1. One hell of a ride! It took the basic question of 'nature vs nurture' and put a lot of interesting things along the way. Just when you think you know who the killer is and why, the writer comes up with a sudden twist that makes you rethink what you know. I appreciated that the writer was able to explain a lot of the small clues and questions we have (although most of the ideas were unbelievable).
2. Loved Bareum and Moochi. I wish they were more scenes of them working together. I really like Moochi but sometimes it feels like he is always too late. He is always drunk or away whenever something major happens or cant be reached.
3. I liked Bongyi at the start even though she was a brat. But in the latter episodes her character was just there when convenient. And the romance between her and Bareum was weird.
4. Never liked Hongju. She was a mystery. How can she not call her parents after all this time? Because of guilt? And i find it hard to believe that the father never recognized who she was when she is a famous tv personality.
5. The whole govt conspiracy was interesting but the big reveal wasnt too impactful.
6. I feel bad for Sung Yohan. And Shin Sang. And Bareum. The ending was sad but it was the most appropriate ending.

Dislikes
1. Too long, the middle where Bareum became a vigilante was boring.
2. The final twist in the last 2 episodes was overkill but it answered a lot of my questions.

Rating: 8.5/10

I still haven't found anything that impressed me more than this drama. I confess that in the middle of the episodes I was afraid of getting frustrated, because there were MANY plots, many characters (all deep and incredibly rich in their stories), many phases... but I was not disappointed in my expectations at all.
It's shocking how the drama didn't need ANY crutches to be brilliant. No scene was for nothing, guys.

Even with 20 episodes, ALL the scenes were explained and rescued with the coherence of the plot, delivering a cohesive, quality work with a lot of maturity to address so many heavy themes and so many different traumas.

The fact that the plot didn't need to explore romance to hold the audience was also very pleasing to me. Long episodes without a minute wasted. Lee Seung Gi as Jung Ba Reum is brilliant. This role certainly marked not only his career but also an entire generation of actors who will dream and strive to seek this level of excellence.

EVERY EPISODE IS A MOVIE!!!!

Mouse is a MASTERPIECE. The storyline is vague but is enticing enough to make you addicted to it. Creating theories, predictions and guesses are useless because the plot is so UNPREDICTABLE. This drama will make you punch the air, facepalm your face, sob some tears and die of nervousness. The EMOTIONS potrayed by every actor is on point and will make you emotionally distressed. The CAST ON ITS OWN is a 10/10.

Lee Seung Gi's dramas are always bangers and this is no exception. However from the beginning his character don't seem to stand out that much considering he is the main lead. This drama will make you curious as to WHY EXACTLY is his character in the drama. The relationship dynamics between all the leads are the main reason this drama carries such an impact even with a slow start. THE ONLY MAN WE TRUST IS KO MOO CHI!!!

The best psychological thriller with detail explanation without any chance of typical clichés.
