The second season starts of good but now so far up until ep. 11, which is where I am, I am so fed up with Zhi Shu's blase attitude. He didn't look that interested in his wife even before his supposed jealousy. The body language tells it all. He only steps up to perform the good husband act when he really has to. This is one of the most boring marriages I have ever seen on film so far. I hope it get's a lot better quickly. At this point I wish she had married one of the other two guys who loved her. They have been so much more interesting.
It is so disappointing as this had so much promise at first. As far a this following the normal ups and downs of a marriage I think that that would only be in the case where the man finds out that he isn't really that interested in the woman he married. Being needy isn't love. All I see and hear is that he needs something from her but then he appears to find it annoying too.
I am really enjoying though the stories with her nursing friends. These are so much better than the 'friend' scenes in season 1. Also the ad lib type of joking between the two fathers is genuinely funny as in season 1 too. Love the mother too.

Adulting with Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu
If It Started With A Kiss gave us the thrill of first love, They Kiss Again let us peek into the chaos and sweetness of married life and honestly, it’s even better than other adaptations because of all the extra details. It’s longer, richer, and gives us the kind of snoop into Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu’s relationship that fans can’t help but crave. And unlike most sequels, this is one of the rare dramas where Season 2 doesn’t disappoint at all.When I first watched this as a teen, a lot didn’t resonate with me but rewatching as an adult, it hits differently. I appreciate the growth in the characters, and Xiang Qin’s persistence stands out as truly inspiring. She’s unrealistic at times, sure, but her strong-headed nature makes her a role model for consistency and never giving up. The addition of her new friends was also refreshing, FINALLY, more green flags than red.
I especially loved the extra focus on Yu Shu’s life and budding romance. It made the whole world feel bigger, and the characters more layered. Cheesy, dramatic, even a little unrealistic but that’s exactly why I adore it. It feels like growing up alongside them, flaws and all.

The Best version of "Itazura Na Kiss"
I have seen this "They Kiss Again", as well as the first part "It Started With A Kiss" and I really believe it is the best version of the "Itazura Na Kiss" story (I've watched all versions).The ML, Jiang Zhi Shu (exceptionally played by Joe Cheng), starts out as the aloof genius who looks down on the FL, Yuan Xiang Qin (played by the beautiful Ariel Lin) as he feels so superior to her. What's different about this version is Joe Cheng plays Zhi Shu as someone who just hasn't had to deal with others, especially in Class F, so he just dismisses them. After rejecting Xiang Qin's attempt to confess to him, he has to deal with her every day as her father and she start to live with Zhi Shu's family, friends of Xiang Qin's father, when their own house is destroyed in an earthquake.
As Zhi Shu very reluctantly, gets to know Xiang Qin (especially through his mother who LOVES and dotes her "new daughter"), he slowly comes to understand that, though not as intelligent as he is, there is something about her that draws him. NOTHING romantic at first! But through dealing with Xiang Qin and her friends (especially the hilarious Ah Jin (perfectly played by Jiro Wang), he begins to see parts of himself that he never thought he had in him.
For me this is totally realized in "They Kiss Again", after they are married. He truly begins to care about Xian Qin and she matures, as well. They each grow together and see things in each other that has them realizing who THEY themselves are. Again, Xiang Qin's friends, play a crucial role in helping Zhi Shu understand the changes he's feeling, and they are so helpful to Xiang Qin as she matures and learns to handle Zhi Shu's changing emotions.
This is such a mature version, with each character more well defined and deeper than other versions. I love how Joe Cheng plays the confused & vulnerable Zhi Shu as he begins to see Xiang Qin in an entirely new light. I also love how Xiang Qin begins to accept who she is, as well as her own potential. While I truly like ALL the versions if "Itazura Na Kiss" THIS version is the one I go to over and over again and I highly recommend it.

La segunda parte, a la altura de la primera
Quizás una de las pocas veces en que podemos decir que la segunda es tan buena como la primera. Si bien sigue los lineamientos de la obra de Kaoru, y el final es el que ella había pensado, la impronta de la serie cambia completamente. Porque, si bien podría haber quedado en un "vivieron felices por siempre", se decide mostrar que el felices puede tener muchos intervalos de tristeza, dudas y miedos, lo cual hace que esta temporada sea mucho más realista y (hasta cierto punto) madura. Porque aunque vemos cómo las cosas cambian en la vida adulta de los personajes, también somos testigos de lo mucho que le cuesta a Xiang Qin "crecer". Y eso añade mucho al componente más melodramático, pero también infantil de la historia. Lo único que quizás le criticaría es que varios personajes que resultaban de peso en la primera parte quedan literalmente "pintados" en el fondo en esta segunda. Por otro lado, amé cada segundo que vemos a Zhi Shu ser amoroso, atento e incluso verlo (por primera vez) sufrir de verdad. Sonará morboso, pero creo que es una muestra de lo mucho que avanza el personaje entre una temporada y la otra. De nuevo, la química con Ariel es perfecta.Was this review helpful to you?

La mejor adaptación sin duda
It Started With a Kiss fue una montaña rusa de emociones para mí. Tanto la primera como la segunda temporada lograron atraparme completamente, y terminé sintiéndome muy conectada con la historia. Sin duda, se convirtió en una de mis adaptaciones favoritas dentro del mundo de "Itazura na Kiss". 💗Me encantó el desarrollo de los personajes, especialmente el de los protagonistas. Sé que no son la pareja más sana, pero aun así les tengo un cariño enorme. Hay algo en su historia que hace imposible no encariñarse con ellos y esta versión se sintió muy natural.
La química entre los actores, sus actuaciones y la forma en que se construye la relación hacen que todo fluya de manera muy especial.
Disfruté cada momento de principio a fin, fue mágico. ✨
Detalles como la metáfora de la olla y el agua para explicar el amor de Zhi Shu hacia Xiang Qin se me quedaron grabados, porque muestran un amor constante, que crece con el tiempo y perdurará hasta el final. 🥹🫂
Hubo momentos que realmente me rompieron el corazón. La enfermedad de Xiang Qin al final de la segunda temporada fue uno de los más duros, ver a alguien tan positiva y llena de vida enfrentarse a algo así fue devastador, y más aún ver la reacción de Zhi Shu: su desesperación, su miedo, su angustia… todo se sentía muy real, lloré.
Si bien en un inicio yo solo quería verlo sufrir, un gusto culposo de venganza por hacerla sufrir durante sus rechazos a Xiang Qin, con el tiempo se hace evidente cuánto la ama. A su manera, ambos se complementan profundamente, y no puedo imaginarlos separados. También valoro mucho el apoyo constante de su familia, que siempre estuvo ahí para sostenerlos.❤️🩹
El final me dejó con sentimientos encontrados. Es abierto, al igual que el manga, y aunque duele no tener un cierre completo, también me gusta pensar que lograron superar todo y construir una vida juntos, tal como lo sugiere la historia.
A pesar de sus imperfecciones, fue una experiencia muy especial para mí. Es una historia que disfruté muchísimo y que recordaré con mucho cariño, definitivamente la volvería a ver otra vez. 💗

Im from Philippines and im still hoping that there part 3 of started with a kiss even its 2020 . I love the story and also the cast. Its look like natural. Im hoping that what happened the next story. This story is cant be end because is so beautiful.

como hacer una secuela correctamente
la primera parte es perfecta y la secuela aún más, a veces las secuelas no salen bien y son un desastre, pero este no es el caso, me encanta que podemos ver como se desenvuelven los protagonistas cuando ya están dentro de un matrimonio, tenemos mucho más desarrollo de personajes y su química es más intensa porque ahora ya son adultos jóvenes, hay momentos de drama y conflicto, pero gracias a ello podemos ver como enfrentan esas pruebas juntos como esposos. La química de la familia sigue intacta, talvez mi único problema es con el cambio del actor que hace de hermano menor de zhi shu pero es casi para el final de la historia si mal no recuerdo, así que no tengo un gran problema con eso. ES QUE AMO TODO, los momentos íntimos entre los protagonistas como cuando visitan la casa familiar de xiang qin y conocemos más de la historia de su madre o la visita a la casa de los abuelos de zhi shu, también me gusto mucho que incluyeran a un personaje que le diera celos a zhi shu porque la verdad tenia muchas ganas de verlo celoso, y todo el arco donde se pone celoso de xiang qin ES ORO, si bien primero actua muy infantil con ella al final todo se resuelve, no quiero dar más spoilers asi que TODOS VEAN IT STARTED WITH A KISS Y THEY KISS AGAIN PORFAVOR para poder experimentar por ustedes mismos una de las series más icónicas de taiwan de la década de los 2000sWas this review helpful to you?
