Shangu is absent from Chang Yuan Hall for a few days after the test was given to her. But, she lets in the Goddesses to serve and entertain Bai Jue, much to his displeasure. Learning that she had been the one behind it, he interrupts her 10,000th Birthday part to ban her and the Godesses from Chang Yuan Hall, informing Shangu that he wouldn't teach a philistine like her. Tian Qi hears about this and visits Bai Jue to tell him that she had been trying to collect sincere emotions by letting the Gods in to complete the task of the Tiger Demons and had no ill intentions. He suggests carving her some jewellery as an apology. A guilty Bai Jue visits an upset Shangu to give her a stone bracelet and a swing. She resumes her studies at the Hall, but the barrier of the Nether world cracks and the Devil Overlord Xuanyi requests a visit from the future God of Chaos. When the True Gods decide that Shang Gu had to go for it, Bai Jue takes her to Mount Lookout in the lower realm for training. He scolds her for her weak skills and tells her that he would help her open her God Vessels. Bai Jue teaches her about the Power of Chaos, Gods, Immortals and Demons. He reveals that Xuanyi, who was naturally born with the power of Chaos like her, was supposed to be the next Chief God of Chaos. However, he had revolted against the Heavens and absorbed the power of dead immortals to create the power of devils. Bai Jue forces her God Vessels open, but it drains him off his power. Shang Gu is ashamed of her lack of practice and rude attitude towards him despite his efforts. She promises to work hard. Bai Jue teachers her swordsmanship after his recovery.
