THE BEST XIANXIA DRAMA OF 2021
Amazing drama that I can't move on from it and wanting more of the leads to be starred in another drama together gosh I am so inlove with Xu Kai after this drama, and Dongyu made me a fan of your smile its very pleasing in the eyes.Acting wise was perfect
Xu Kai and Zhou Dongyu are perfect for this role.
The supporting cast did an amazing job.
Story wise was amazing
Indeed a heart wrecking lovestory with amazing ending (very satisfied no need to be longer)
Music wise
It was 10/10 IT IS THE BEST OST FOR ME
I mean come on all of tracks are matched scenes every moment it is the perfect tracklisting for me.

Don’t judge the drama by it’s cover
This is my first time ever reviewing any drama in any platform but I had to sign up to to give this drama the score it truly deserved. Like a lot of peoples I avoided watching this drama because I initially didn’t like the actress but after reading some of the comments I gave it a try and glad I did. The acting were great and CGI were beautiful and superb. I was surprised at how big the budget and production were for this drama. After a few episodes the FL grew on me and I really enjoyed her acting and the drama as a whole. The storyline and plots were intricate but clear and easy to follow. The actors/actresses, writer, and producers put in a lot of effort and did a great job. DON’T LET OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS DETER YOU. Give it a try and you won’t regret it. I really liked the characters of Shangu and Baijue and all of the supporting casts. The love story between the leads were great, and I especially enjoyed the friendship between Baijue and Tianqi. It was refreshing to watch a drama were close friendships endured and no backstabbing due to jealousy happened between the friends.
I highly recommend this drama. Everything about this drama, from the story, acting, ost, costumes, cgi were exceptional.

Top notch love story
HaihhThis is the 2nd wuxia drama that i has watch without skip2 .. the plot of the drama at the at God realm and continue to 3 heaven realm is so smooth like youre really addicted to one episode to another.
Give it a raise to the cast main lead and at the support lead. Female lead acting is really top notch u just cry whe she cried but for main lead really need to improved his acting .. i not feel anything when the breakup scene he just there without at emotions fortunately FL Save the sad scene.

She's the god of chaos they say...
The character of the FL is weak. She's the god of chaos but she's mostly helpless all throughout the show.So much suffering but so little time devoted for closure. The ending was a bit lacking. The main leads got reunited at the last minute of the episode. What's stopping the directors from giving us an episode of closure and happiness huhu :( The time the main leads are apart is more than the time they were together.
The acting of the main leads is okay. I wish there was more expression though, especially when they cry.

Endure the Hardship
Zhou Dongyu and Xu Kai's acting skills are really awesome. They portray their roles very well. At first, I thought that Shanggu is still a teenager because she looks so young but then again her acting skills is very very very good. I like her personality most specially her eyes and the way she smile. For me, she is one of the best goddess I'd ever seen; she's so gorgeous. On the other hand, I also love the character of Bai Jue his so pretty. I like Bai Jue but I love Tianqi the most he is so handsome; I wish in his next drama he'll be the main lead. Overall, I don't care about the bashers, for me this historical drama is the best and must watch. I'm hoping for its season 2. 😊💖Was this review helpful to you?
What a beautiful love story
My 2nd rewatch because I love this show and its cast so much especially the leads. This show has many of my favorite stars. (XuKai, Liu xueyi, Leo lai, Jenny zhang, just to name a few). I’ve been a fan of XuKai since The Story of Yanxi Palace and watched all shows and movies. This was my first with DongYu and I really, really adore her! She has a delicate and so beautiful face and to me, she fits the character very well. I love the chemistry between her and XuKai and the chemistry with the other leads and supporting cast is great too. No one seemed “out of place” and their acting is so good that I even love the bad guys! 😄 Definitely need lots of tissues! Even though I watched it 2x before, my heart still broke in pieces and I cried my eyes out again and again. The soundtrack is one of the best in c-dramas. Beautiful storyline and character
This drama has a beautiful storyline, costume also character and also soundtrack. Really happy because one of the soundtrack is singing by Liu Yuning. Okay, so for the first time watch it, it has so manyy characters! And the problem is they showing all the characters really too fast (?) I don't even really remember who is who. But then, while I keep on watching, I can feel all the characters so I can remember every character.The storyline is just so amazing. There's a lot of happiness, sadness and mad. It's just like a roller coaster. I like the Shang Gu character development. It shows how she's grow up, not let all the mock block her and can prove herself ability. Bai Jue has done so many things for Shang Gu from the beginning until the end, they are just a perfect match I think. Tian Qi and Yue Mi it's one of my favorite after the ML and FL. I like how they not trying to force the storyline so they can be together like the other drama. They're just so supportive even the one they love actually love their friends! Feng Ran and Jing Jian characters too it's very strong! They can do whatever they want and not let anything stop them. The antagonist character it feels annoying and make mad! She's doing a great job of acting!

I love this show.I’ll be rewatching it after some time.
If you are a fan of fantasy genre, give this a go.
Got to warn you though, if you are a crybaby like me, you need to have tissue box ready. Lolz.
Plot : it has it all. Sweet, bitter, humour, etc …
Cast : visual wise, ml wins. Fl’s physique is not much, but when she smiles, it melts you plus her acting will give you the feel. Ml acting is very good too. And they look sweet together, at least to me.
CGI : cgi wise, it’s one of the good ones, imo. Some part looks a bit fake but it’s already better than most out there.

Love transcends time and death
Dropped this drama after 2 episodes, and then picked it up after months cuz I wanted to know the prequel story to the last immortal drama. I'm so glad that I gave this drama a second chance. This drama had a cast of complex characters with their own sub plotline, but it was intricately woven with the main story line without any lags.I was so in love with the acting of the FL and ML, their genuine reactions and portrayal of various emotions. The FL has a contagious smile and carries a femininely bold aura throughout the story. A fan of how Xu Kai acts through his eyes, I understand why he has a huge fandom (I'm a part of that now). Tianqi deserves to start acting as a ML in upcoming dramas, hope he gets that.
Everyone in this drama had done justice to their roles. And I like the villain origin stories which were relatable unlike most trauma induced villains.
This is one of the best xianxia drama with stunning cinematography, visuals. and ost. Would highly recommend watching it.

It's actually my first time I am leaving my review on some drama.
And frankly speaking I really don't know how to review. But still this drama made me do so. I came across so many negative reviews of this drama in yt and fb I seriously thought I am not gonna like it but I was wrong completely wrong. I liked AOL so much but I liked this drama as much as I liked ashes of love ..but I did skipped so much while watching AOL but for this drama I seriously loved every episode. I have seen so many good reviews about Love and redemption..but for some reason I just didn't like it and wasn't able to complete it ..I just want to say don't judge this drama from others reviews ..give it a chance ..I seriously think this drama deserve higher rating than this and it is very underrated too.. I have seen so many comments complaining about female lead's acting and that she isn't suitable for this role but I seriously fell for her ..she was perfect for this role in my opinion and for Xu kai .. honestly speaking I was not a big fan of him but I think after this drama he is in the list of my top favourite actors .. overall this drama is not bad at all ..I have never watched any drama with this speed I always end up watching most of dramas half way and then get bored but this time I was so into this drama ..Was this review helpful to you?
