Decent acting saved this

I guess korean bls are a genre of their own, the main rule being “give as little as possible”. I understand making something great while having only 8 episodes, 12 minutes each, requires a cinematographic mastermind but then let’s make it longer than that, so the plot won’t seem so shallow. I mean overall it’s not that bad, just a little overdramatic towards the end in my personal opinion- it’d be great for angst lovers. The acting was great, really amazing. The cast did an outstanding job at making it enjoyable and sometimes even funny, and for that I’d recommend to watch it - it’s still just like an hour of your time.

Nice Story + Great cast + no-cringe

The best way to describe this series : perfect pace + great actors with good skills.
I finished the series in a go. The plot wasn't something special but I think the crew pulled it off pretty good. The things i liked about this series was the little jokes here and there and the fact that the actors weren't soft-looking at all ( unlike most of the BL Series).
I also like the quality of the production. The cinematography and editing of this series was remarkable and made wonder why SKorea doesn't make more BL Series when they have these talented actors and producers.

Spoiler Begins here :
The mention of the insecurity TaeJoo revealed was actually a good point to why they were in love.
I mean Gook had a supportive character and it fitted well with TaeJoo who haven't felt taken care of by parents.

Let's not forget about the woman who owned the restaurant. Man, I liked how of shipper she was.

Alltogether, if you are watching for a decent mini series with good acting and least cringe scenes, You've got to watch it

Review of "Where your eyes linger"

- Coming at you with another one of those 'short-but-sweet' bl series. Only 8, 9-16 mins episodes yet I haven't felt this much emotion while watching a series in quite a while.
- This couple managed to make me concerned, frustrated, and embrassed all in the same episode and while doing it in multiple languages (They were speaking korean but I was reading the subs in english).
- Don't even get me started on how good the actors were! I mean they had amazing chemistry(which we alwaye love to see).
- Not to mention that the soundtrack also totally slapped. I rarely really vibe with the music, mucn less actually pay attention to it, but with this series it kind of grabbed your attention all on its own.
- Overall, if your a bl fan and are looking for something that is nice but a quick binge I highly recommend this!

This is one of the best BLs i've ever watched, tbh. South Korea is not as big as thailand or taiwan in the BL industry, but when they do it, they make it great. Even tho the episodes were very short, they were able to sell the story and the actors acting and chemistry was just on point. The only thing I don't get is why people call this series korea's first BL... Strongberry has been producing BLs for quite a long time already lol.
Anyways, I already watched it a second time, for sure I will watch it again and I even sent the link to my mother so she also can watch it lol

Decent one time watch -Its so short. Just try .U may like it

Its a decent short BL drama. I dont find much chemistry between MLs.Story is a worth for a long 5 episode drama atleast.Love bw the main couple is stopped even before the starting point of their relationship. There is no character development also happneing due to to short episode size.So we are not attached to the characters most.Climax also same cliche happy ending without any details. So many things are lacking that stop us to liking the drama more.
if u want small intervel bw long dramas then u can check this out this 70 min drama series.

Good to see the first Korean BL, but not the best by far

Another review said it perfectly: as the "first" Korean BL the short runtime and few number of episodes makes it clear that this show was really to test the waters for the fans.

Good news is that the episodes are mostly 11-12 minutes, so the show is super binge-able. The story is incredibly fanfic-y, which you will either love or hate, but I really did enjoy the premise and the story for the first half of the show. I actually thought Han Gi Chan's acting was better than Eui Soo's, which surprised me. Personally, I also loved the character of a yappy brat that teases Gook, but I know other reviewers disagree and found Gi Chan's character manipulative and annoying!

My main complaint is that the ending seems SO unnecessarily dramatic and does a disservice to the first half. I think they could've ended it with the same "happy" ending feeling without ridiculous angst and drama that came out of nowhere with absolutely no build up. Also, I think the production was not super polished in terms of make-up and things of that sort (who decided to make Eui Soo wear colored contacts??), and the actors definitely feel too old to be playing high schoolers, and should probably be playing college students. Lastly, the acting chemistry between the couple was pretty good (not great), but the kiss was SO bland compared to what Korean BL shows are doing nowadays, that it seems like they really didn't want to do it, which is a shame.

Overall, it's definitely not the best BL show (or even Korean BL show) that I've seen, but I do have to give it a lot of respect as the "first" that paved the way for all the ones that have aired since!

Stellar

The chemistry between the lead characters are insane.. I have watched a lot of BL series and this will definitely go down as one of the best there is... the chemistry between the leads reminded me a lot of the actors from the series ''Addicted'' this was really good and I think they managed to tell the story very well and it felt completed even though each episode was less than 11 minutes it never felt short.. I would really love for them to make a thai version of this and stretch it out even longer

Really really hoping Korea will invest more on BL !!!

Where to start? Let me first explain my background on BL, I just started watching BL in mid 2020 bcs of the hype on 2gether the series which I loved so much. I always prefer easy going storyline, jealousy kinda type of angst and fluffy ending after a long push and pull from the main leads. That’s always my cup of tea of fanfics. With South Korea being one of the most non LGBT+ Culture, I kinda skeptical on how this BL going to be, will the story be good, how about chemistry? (Which is my no.1 main aspect in everything I watch), will My time be worth it? And guess what?? Korean dramas never disappoint !!! This is so good ! I even love it more than 2gether! The chemistry was insane, I got goosebumps. The storyline is simple but heart aching, the budget pretty typical web drama so no complaints, AND THE ACTING !!! Goshhh kudos! It surprised me so much that even after several days after watching this series I still can’t get it out my mind. I really like the small habit of Taejoo, and that scene where they laid in bed and Taejoo asking for a hug but Gook refused at first but after Taejoo said he was sad, Gook just couldn’t refused him anymore and hugged him so tenderly (😭😭😭). And the part where Gook shampooing Taejoo also very intimate in PG13 way ahhhhhhh and so so many more! The jealous looks from Taejoo, their pinning/fighting in a gym or something ughhh feels !!! Overall I really really recommend this to anyone who wants to see and feel what love is. My only complaint is that this is too short, I’m addicted so I want more, but sadly again, this is not Thailand’s BL, this is SK’s BL so I bet on my life there won’t be s2 🥺

Short Series with Amazing Chemistry between Leads

A surprising BL entry from South Korea, given the general homophobic attitudes there. This series avoids all the pitfalls common to the BL genre. The story is very straight forward and I can't say it's original because it's realistic in that way: boys fall in love, parents intervene, boys get back together. The characters are distinctive, well-acted and not stereotypes. Both protagonists are really cute. It's a slow burn series but it only has 8 10-minute episodes. The leads have amazing chemistry. They end up happily together although it's only at the very end of the series, after being 3 years apart and much heartbreak. There isn't much time to touch on much but the relationship between the protagonists but homophobia (from the father) and matter-of-fact acceptance is touched upon. Both protagonists are never established as gay or bi but given they're only in high school, I think it's reasonable. The most annoying character has to be the fujoshi owner of the restaurant although I must say it's an accurate portrayal. No, gay men don't owe you insights into their sex lives.

SHORT BUT SWEET

story- with such limited minutes and episodes , this series managed to develop the plot to such lengths

acting/cast- i can say the acting is commendable considering that the story required a variety of emotions. you can really see in their eyes what they are feeling and their chemistry is phenomenal, it's burning. for the cast, i was really surprised that they have a 9 year age gap, they look like of the same age making the casting great.
*edit - while reading other reviews i agree that the acting of tae joo with his father was kind of cringey

music- considering this drama is short in terms of hours, it contained a lot of ost which is effort. and the songs are actually good as well.

rewatch value- becuase this drama is not that long and the plot progress really fast i think you will not be bored if you are gonna decide to watch it again

Very disappointing after the many positive reviews

I was really excited to watch this because many people were recommending it and the storyline seemed interesting but I was really disappointed. I know that many will disagree with me on this but for me this series was going nowhere. There was almost no progression until the last few episodes and then they split and got together in the end. I was really bored watching this since as I said nothing happened and also the “so great chemistry” as many said was something I couldn’t see. I felt absolutely nothing watching these two and I felt like they barely talked. For me not a got series but everyone has their own opinion.
