You Are My Glory: Living up to the name

'You are already the rabbit who has seen most stars'

The love story between a celebrity and a normal person isn't anything new for dramaland. But YAMG is any different? Let's found out.

This is going to be a super long review... if you aren't interested in reading my very long essay, I'll sum up some important points.

↠Great acting from both leads with sizzling chemistry
↠No external problems, stupid misunderstandings, conflicts, the portrayal of a very healthy relationship.
↠The story and characterization are realistic with witty dialogues.
↠Inspirational story giving some important life lessons! but we aren't missing humor too ;D
↠Focused on leads, so screentime doesn't get distributed on supporting roles or any side couple.
↠No overdubbing, actors using their own voices.
↠So many sweet and heart-fluttering moments.
↠No annoying, and unrealistic, over-the-top characters. Very likable leads. But not perfectionists.
↠Many gaming-related scenes in the start and aerospace-related scenes in the middle part of the drama. (in case if you aren't interested in both of them)
↠The flow of the story is very slow in the initial episodes, and it can be boring for someone.

↠And Yang Yang just looks so fine with glasses on, this wasn't really necessary but I wanted to say it lol xD

If I've to use my food analogy again... I would compare it to wine, which needs some ripening to get the perfect taste and treat for all taste buds, a little bitterness in the start is natural but then you experience sweetness that lefts in your mouth at the end, and with time it gets better and better.

Though it seems like that cast is the best part of the show, it's not. The importance lies in the story, dialogue, and execution. I'm a Books-Over-Screen adaptations person (only Hobbit and LOTR would be exceptions), but this would the one of the best adaptations I've seen so far in dramaland. Having the book writer as a screenwriter ensures that writing quality would be par as the novel. In the initial episodes, the pace is slow... not much romantic development between leads: a slow burn. It's natural and realistic, they don't fall for each other out of anywhere for no good reason, through the slow process of getting to know each other with time. The story itself isn't exciting or even grand but it's presented but how it's presented that matters, it doesn't follow any tropes or cliches. Even being 32 episodes nothing feels unnecessary. I loved the fact it doesn't show any external conflict or cause that creates problems but in the start problems are, real, internal struggle, and valid.

Who says it's not exciting so it doesn't have surprises... in the second half its pace changed by 180°... so many heart-fluttering, butterflies moments ahead. The serious ride when becoming full fluff you never get you to know. Prepare yourself for soo much sweetness. Be careful about pain in the muscle of cheeks, I found myself grinning all time ;D

The dialogues are meaningful, and witty too! cherished the small detailing in the bits. For example, when Yu Tu and Jingjing go to watch the movie, they watch 'Coco' and Yu Tu's situation is quite similar to the lead of that movie 'struggle for chasing their dream and what they really want from life.'
When Yu Tu was eating in the canteen, he had conversation with Jingjing that time she said.. she wants to eat at their canteen and when you see Jingjing visiting his research center for first time.. he says we can't go to canteen coz as we don't have much time, I mean see the details.
Yu Tu's name has a special meaning behind it Yutu (玉兔) literal meaning: Jade Rabbit, it was a robotic lunar rover that formed part of the Chinese Chang'e 3 mission to the Moon it had an expected lifespan of 3 months but managed to operate for 31 months on the moon. . So when Jingjing states that he had already seen most stars, it is a reference to this... as Yu Tu having an expected lifespan of 3 months managed to operate for 31 months on the moon.

What to say about the cast, top-tier actors of the industry with their heavenly looks. We've got Yang Yang, Dilraba... Liu Yu Ning oh sorry he isn't there. No actually, he's there coz the drama starts with his voice. The opening song Fireworks and Stars 煙火星辰 is sung by him (ah this guy is everywhere lol).

Oops, I got distracted we're talking about the cast, right? Dilraba looks stunning, beautiful as always.. she always adds that spunk, and charisma in every character she plays that's what makes it special. The only problem would be that her makeup is a bit off :') She did a great job portraying Jingjing as always. Maybe even better as Jingjing is more like she in her real life.

But this time for me Yang Yang outshined or it was Yu Tu... maybe both, due to the complexity of his character, the wide range of emotions and experiences he had to go through. Out of the all works of Yang Yang it's best to date, I wasn't really satisfied by his acting skills yet aside from the great looks he got, but this time he impressed me, his eyes talk a lot... there's no need for words for some emotional scenes, just take look at his eyes and you know what's going on in his mind. Playing as Yu Tu is challenging as he goes through a drastic change throughout the whole process and with every stage, he has to make it visible with his expressions and his acting.. and Yang Yang did it beautifully.

Having extra love for astrophysics and space-related stuff I didn't skip anything related to Yu Tu's profession but you might find yourself skipping those parts as they can be considered boring. The same goes with the gaming scenes, the first few episodes heavily contain them, it was the medium that bought them together after all. I didn't like how Jingjing tricked Yu Tu by calling him to her house, Tbh these are the only problems I found in the drama.. and actually, they aren't really problems as it depends on your preference.

The characters... I love them!
Honestly, when I saw Jingjing first, I got worried oh no not again a cute, innocent female lead. But she proved me wrong. Yes, she is very cute and adorable but quick-witted, smart, a high-spirited person not to forget she has a high EQ (as anyone should have in the entertainment industry). She knows how to talk, how to behave. And she's aware of what exactly she wants. Loved how understanding and considerate she was to Yu Tu.

Again writer surprised me, what was I expecting Yu Tu to be? a successful aerospace engineer living a picture-perfect life. Who would have thought we'll get a struggling male lead.. with low confidence, self-esteem, confuse between a better job opportunity or a dream. It also shows a bitter truth... getting good grades, having a high IQ, great education doesn't mean you can live whatever life you want. Everyone has to struggle for their dreams, desires and on the way to do that reality hits hard, very hard. I would prefer Yu Tu over any perfect CEO lead as he seems so real (Not talking about his looks lol coz that's surreal) I found his struggle, his internal conflicts very relatable. His personal development is the key point of his character, how he starts to believe in his dreams again, belief in himself again. Wait this isn't it... just have some patience and see a new Yu Tu, in a new light. You might argue with yourself is he the one I know before. He's a completely new person, I don't know him anymore xD

Normally for me, when a couple gets together I lose interest, then drama starts to get boring for me but it's just contradicted my belief as it gets more interesting with time. Yu Tu and Jingjing make a perfect couple together with the sizzling chemistry, not just that they look so good but their personalities compliment each other very well (High IQ+High EQ) and both know how to flirt very well, what we need more ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯... they live in two different worlds but it has 0 effects on their relationship, that's what I love, nor external problems, neither silly misunderstandings. Even their small fights are so cute. Most important they behave like they are adults who are in a relationship, not people in their 30s but still behaving like teens lol.

I wasn't sure if the drama will manage to show the professionalism of leads, as their jobs are very busy, time-consuming. What a smart way to use time skips.. without even making it feel as they don't have anything to do other than dating with giving a lot of their moments together.. while doing their job properly. It covers a wide range of emotions. With some very emotional, heartbreaking scenes. I shed tears in Yu Tu's conversation with Zhai Liang 'I made mistake, that's why she's gone. She's a good person.' But then it has some peak comedy moments that'll make your stomach hurt. Bitter-sour-sweet-spicey we get a whole set of flavors. Good deal, right?

This is S+ production, so great aesthetics, pretty clothes (maybe this isn't fully), beautiful cinematography, the color palette is as expected. But I'm not fond of the opening sequence I found it a bit cartoonish and in need of good editing, but it doesn't cut any points as it's nothing to do with drama. Not really fond of music. Other than the opening song that's also used as bgm any other ost doesn't really stand out for me as it's the only song used till the 16th episode (so if you are a little sensitive about music, point to be noted)

The opening song: Fireworks and Stars (煙火星辰) - By Liu Yu Ning, I've mentioned it before but it feels like ages now :')
Time Monologue (光阴独白) - By Lala Hsu
Fall in Love (陷入爱情) - By Curley Gao & Mika
Speak To You (说给你听) - By Aska Yang
Born To Be An Eagle (生来是鹰) - By Chen Xue Ran

This definitely a re-watchable drama, you won't get satisfied watching some episodes only one time. And it's binge-worthy!
In the conclusion, I'll say... You Are My Glory is soothing, refreshing, thought-provoking drama. But not everyone's cup of tea/coffee is hit or miss. But if you are liking it from the start.. you'll end up falling in love with it ;) The heck, I did again 9.5 to a rom-com? But not regretting it.

Whoa, anyone reached here!?

Overrated; fast forwardable (if there’s such a word)

Plot: weak, mostly focused on the male lead’s talent and work, slow-paced romance is okay with me but there are too many unnecessary scenes like gaming and aerospace; they should have made a movie out of this than a drama. Finished this in one day because i pressed the fast forward button a lot; no deep character development just passion for their job and each other; humor is okay

Acting: I like reba but her acting here is just the same in fashion designer — bland and restrained. She’s better in TLB. I like yangyang too, compared to love o2o, his acting is better here. His eyes are more expressive. Both actors definitely have chemistry together, if there’s one thing I love about this drama, it’s their romance. Normal conflicts of couples that get resolved easily; to compromise; more on slice of life

Music: forgettable

Rewatch value: only all the kissing scenes and their banter

Overall: it was okay. Or maybe I expected too much and it didn’t reach my expectations. Just overhyped and full of visual attacks from these two good~looking actors. I wish they collaborate again but not with this kind of plot.

Not to my liking

There are many high ratings here but I personally did not enjoy this show that much. I also think getting a 10 is abit of an overstretched.

Main leads are decent here, nothing to hate or love. FL character is pretty bland, her profession & gaming is nothing special , even why she liked the ML is nothing in depth too. ML on the other hand is more interesting even though it's another built to be perfect character, good at gaming, aerospace engineer, good looking, sweet towards FL. Both yang yang and reba have good chemistry but not the best. YY did better in this show maybe because he is very well suited for "nerdy" roles like love o2o, while i always thought reba's acting was ok only and her character doesn't pulls me in as well.

Plot is also weak; i liked that it explores aerospace and all but the gaming part don't blend in well.

Final verdict: It's a decent watch if u are into visuals, but its not fantastic and too overhyped.

Somewhat boring love story between two really good looking people

I must be in the minority here because I didn't find this a very good drama. Yes it is watchable because the sets, the people, the clothes are all very beautiful, but the story itself is so boring. Nothing really happens in the plot that makes you want to stay up to watch the next episode. The acting is ok. Nothing too impressive but not bad either. Both leads suit their roles well and they do look really good together. Such a beautiful pairing but I personally didn't feel the chemistry was that strong with them. Dilraba seems to have better chemistry with Gao Wei Guang and Zhang Bin Bin. The aerospace and gaming plots didn't really catch my interest either.

If you're looking for a fluffy love story with two very good looking leads, or are into gaming then this might be for you!

Healthy but underwhelming

First off, I just wanted to say that I did like the progression of the romance in the middle of the drama, and overall the relationship between the leads was really healthy and fun to watch. They were both busy with work but understood, trusted, and respected each other.

With that being said, I did feel the same criticism I felt for Love O2O, which is that the main characters sometimes just felt too perfect and too loved by everyone. Problems resolved themselves, and overall it just made the plot a little boring sometimes.

I also wish we saw more side characters — It felt like many of them just appeared and disappeared a few episodes later, without explanation. They didn't really have roles or personality aside from their associations with the main leads or just people working in the same industry. I wasn't that interested in their careers that much, though JJ's was a little more interesting to follow than YT.

Attentive drama needs to meet people who know how to taste.

This is not just a drama that simply catalyzes sweetness. Under the vast background of the sea of stars, it restores the ordinary face of life, but creates a romantic atmosphere, adult love is not only sugar, but also insurmountable helplessness in life, and it also comes from hormones. Impulse, and love and pursuit of ideals. All these sentiments are presented in the passionate interpretation of the two leading actors. The ingenious combination of lighting and space scenes pushes the delicate expression of emotion to the extreme. This kind of drama in which all members are devoted. It is worth savoring carefully, 10 points of great drama in my mind.

The leads Just played Their characters perfectly. Chemistry, romance, emotions every single thing was perfect. Absolutely Best modern Romance Chinese drama of This year so far.

Love Yu Tu the most. He really showed us the realistic things in life. Yu Tu represents not only aerospace workers, he represents thousands of ordinary people. Qiao Jingjing showed us the purity and sincerity.

As an a brilliant aerospace engineer, the male protagonist Yu Tu struggled between reality and ideals, and at this time he got the star heroine’s favor. Love and encouragement, and re-enter the path of the stars and the sea. This process is the core of glory and the concentrated expression of the "drama" you said. Compared with the common derailments, births, misunderstandings, childhood sweethearts, and glorious romances in current romance dramas The plot is obviously more realistic and advanced, and also more romantic. A large number of life and supporting role plots also make the influence of stars and astronauts fuller. In short, compared to the classic and excellent TV series with high tide, you are my glory closer to the healing anime.

Finally, I would like to confess that Chen Xueran's "Born to be an Eagle" is very well written.

Also, Yang Yang is the YYDS!

People who seek for true real life dedicated drama, it's one of the best one.

Must Say greatly done every single thing in this drama.

Can’t get out of the glorious world, I believe there must be a parallel time and space. This beautiful story continues. Never going to forget Yu Tu .

Boring...

This drama focused more on the ml's career as an areospace engineer rather than the romance between the ml and fl. I felt it was more sci fi based with a hint of romance rather than the other way around. The couples relationship felt realistic because of how little time they had for each other, it was an accurate depiction...thats probably why I didnt enjoy it as much.

Spoiler:

The fl liked the ml is hs but he rejected her bcz he felt she wasnt good enough, which he came to regret 10 yrs later after getting to know her, then he felt he wasnt good enough for her and turned her down again. This plus eng shit literally sums up the plot for the first 18 episodes.

They start dating offically in the 21 ish episode I think.

They get togther, bunch of kiss scenes, fl is busy with work, ml is busy with work, they get together on their break, kiss scene - bed scene,
ml is busy with work, fl is busy with work, they get together on their break, kiss scene - bed scene... just a continuation of that along with areospace eng scenes then they get married two years later.
Honestly their romance had zero plot it was soooo boring to watch...felt no excitment at all.

There is a five year time jump (ep 31-32) they are 38 yrs old have NO kid and it ends with a fucking rocket launch!!!...

The story was boring but I really enjoyed dilraba's acting. That and the special effects...the first couple of eps werent too bad either, but it just got really boring when the ml talked about rockets which was literally half the drama!. If you enjoy that kind of stuff I say go for it but I zoned out, my brain wasnt willing to compute.

just another fluffy drama

The trailer and the advertisements leading up to this show gave me very high expectations. I like yangyang and reba, they are honestly very good looking which I felt was the thing that gave this show its popularity boost. Acting-wise, it's all fine, no extraordinary emotional scenes or anything but that's not on them, it's on the script.

Do not expect a deep or emotional slice of life type of plot. This is simplicity at its finest, full on fluff for the majority of the episodes. I like that there aren't any ridiculous misunderstandings or annoying exes and the couple communicates well. Plotwise, I felt like there were too many unnecessary romantic scenes which other than satisfying cp fans, serve absolutely no purpose in the storyline. I think they are cute but sometimes, it's really too much. Even yangyang was shocked at the extent they have to go to in the behind the scenes footages. To be honest, the plot is very unrealistic and doesn't fully depict the lives of 30 years olds (even more so for an aerospace engineer and big celebrity) but take it with a pinch of salt that this is meant to be a very fluffy romcom. It's just that with all the anticipation building up for this drama, I expected a LOT more... this wasn't exciting or interesting, just very romantic.

I would recommend this if you're looking for a chill fluffy visual explosion drama that doesn't require thinking. But if you are expecting an intricate plot or emotion laden scenes then this is not for you.

does this even have a plot?

the only thing that saves this is the main characters' chemestry because everything else makes me mad...

"plot" that could have been told in 10-12 eps (even better a movie but I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️),
first 15 eps that were basically an ad, side character with no purpose or personality at all if not adoring the main leads (their "best friends" changed to the writers liking in times of need for then disappear forever. her friends weren't even at the wedding? 🤨)

and most importantly the fact that the FL only purpose here was the romance and supporting the growth of the ML. i'm not even sure she talked about something else but him all season...

liked her a lot but she had neither character development nor real problems (too much times should have been removed from the propaganda/ad for that).
in the meantime countless (on the limit of boring) eps spent on making us understand the ML's doubts, his passion for his job, his colleagues life, his colleagues' partners doubts... and then again more specific stuff about his work...
while jingjing, even in the (rare) times where they showed her working, was busy longing for him. until the very end where she spent the whole. entire. LAST. episode. being the ✨perfect supportive wife✨

how the hell don't they have problems at all while seeing each other basically never for years? lmao

i also don't get the point of showing us weibo's opinions etc if never ever comes out of it
(oh right telling us how perfect he is🙃)

tempting cast, boring scenario

First of all, I want to let you know that I really like Yang Yang and Dilraba.

I also notice the ratings on this drama received many 10's…Most watchers think it is cute, loving and soooooo very romantic.

But, I personally find this drama dragged on and on. There are more kissing than necessary, it does not add to the plot of the drama. Largely, it emphasized on the love relations between the main casts and that is exactly what this whole “thrill” is based on and nothing else. I can't even comprehend why this aerospace engineering genius is teaching gaming? Stretching the screenplay??

I do not find the story itself interesting nor exciting….to put it another way, there is not much to this tale accept lots of smooching and hugging.

It is a drama for the wishful, sentimental romantics.

An average drama (weak without the main CP) with a huge POLITICAL ISSUE

"You are my glory" is a 100% adaptation of the original novel. For fans of the novel or fans of the main couple in particular, this can be a perfect match. However, for me - a fan of the original, not a fan of the main actor/actress, a former film critic - this work is relatively weak in terms of cinematography. The storytelling is a listing of events from the original novel, but lacks the climactic elements that should have in a drama. The length of the film was also cut shorter than the usual length to pull up to 32 episodes, showing that the content is not too rich. This type of instant film is only suitable for web dramas, which is weaker than a standard tv drama. Compared to some other web dramas, the storytelling of this series is also poorer. What attracts views is basically the main high-visual CP and their romantic scenes. Dilraba and YY's acting is only at the level of acceptable, not excellent, with good interaction.

In the original, the game part is what I like most (but boring in the film) while in the drama, the best part is the aerospace scenes because of its professionalism. However, immediately, I realized this part definitely has the backing of the Chinese government, and the political intrigue is too obvious. The illegal 9-dashed map is embedded multiple times in this series. If you don't have the necessary political knowledge, especially if you are an audience from countries that own a part of the South China Sea, you have been warned. Do not support a product that the Chinese government uses to claim sovereignty over the entire South China Sea which is shared by more than 5 different countries in the region.

You Are My Glory: A Beautiful Romance Carrying a Jade Rabbit's Dream

Landing on the moon’s surface on December 14, 2013, the Yu Tu Rover (玉兔, Jade Rabbit) worked on the moon for a total of 31 months, far exceeding its original expected lifespan of 3 months and becoming the longest-operating rover on the moon. Part of China’s Chang’e 3 Mission, Yu Tu traveled a total of 114 meters, sending amazing data back to earth.

Yu Tu said goodbye on August 3, 2016, with a beautiful message:

“There are still many questions I would like answers to, but I’m the rabbit who has seen the most stars.”

(As a girl from a Chinese family, I knew of Yu Tu before YAMG, but this still makes me tearful T^T)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enough of story-telling. I’m sure most people were anticipating this drama for days, weeks, months...Admit it, one of the main reasons for the tiresome wait was for the gorgeous main leads. Yang Yang and Dilraba...in a rom-com? Are you kidding me? (nope!)

As soon as the drama started, I was fully immersed. The first 2 minutes, with Liu Yuning’s Fireworks and Stars (烟火星辰) was just a beautiful blessing to my eyes. The galactic palate was a job well done.

With an MDL low of 8.3 at a point when You Are My Glory (YAMG) was airing, the ratings slowly increased to a very understandable 8.7. All credits to the story goes to Gu Man, the author of the original novel- You’re My Glory (same Chinese name as the drama as well, 你是我的荣耀). Gu Man is also the screenwriter of the drama, the reason why you would realize that there is a shortage of differences between the novel and drama if you read the novel, which is a must-read if you’re craving for short but cute webnovels. And the small number of differences was a delightful surprise, as there wasn’t much in the fluffy story that needed to be changed to make the drama a success. (and it is!) As someone who rarely reads Cdrama original novels, I thoroughly enjoyed You’re My Glory as I impatiently waited for the last releases of the drama.

The story is simple but unique; the love story between a popular actress and an aerospace engineer who were high school (and middle school) classmates 10 years ago. Seems kinda cliche at first glance, doesn’t it? Haha, well, I do daresay that it isn’t! Gu Man really played around with her creative ideas. Qiao Jingjing has a month to improve her oh-pretty-bad (actually, quite bad) gaming skills to prove to everyone that she can play the game that she endorses. Who does she ask for help? The very talented Yu Tu, of course!

Before I continue with my hopeless YAMG gushing, please allow me to clarify a point: YAMG is NOT an E-sports drama. While it does involve an online game, King of Glory, no one in this drama is a professional gamer. Ok, continue reading. :)

Yu Tu (spelled, 于途, a homophone of the Jade Rabbit Yu Tu) may seem like your typical Cdrama male god - Earning full marks in high school, attending Tsinghua (the top university in China), being even a god at basketball, even looking like a god (I mean, he’s Yang Yang lol). He’s the full Male God Package!

But WAIT. What is that? He has a dilemma? Hmm...not your typical male god, perhaps? Yu Tu had more realistic problems, but that doesn’t stop him from being thoughtful and caring to his family and friends. You Are My Glory is a much more mature rom-com, with not just characters dreaming of a lovey-dovey future, but with hardships that accompany their dreams.

Let’s go back to that quote from the Jade Rabbit Rover, “I’m the rabbit who has seen the most stars.” Qiao Jingjing said a version of this beautiful quote to Yu Tu, who carried with him his inspirational aerospace dream. Supportive of Yu Tu no matter what, she was always there for him.

“You’re the rabbit who has seen the most stars.” Explains Yu Tu’s dream, which seemed unreachable at first, but he slowly neared that dream, being an inspiration to all.

Behind Actress and Superstar Qiao Jingjing is a girl with a huge heart. Her kindness is almost unparalleled; As much as she seems to be self-centered with her glamorous attire and noble air, you’ll soon discover that there is so much to see than just being in the spotlight. She also displays unwavering perseverance. If Qiao Jingjing sets her mind on something, she’ll get it done AND she’ll get it done well, from her demanding job to helping out friends. People who were talking about Jingjing’s high EQ were totally right.

Oh, and YAMG is frustration-free! No b*tchy exes nagging the leads, no annoying in-laws in opposition, no unnecessary drama in the entertainment circle, this is what I call the full Cdrama Romcom Package, with no unnecessary details and a perfectly cut diamond.

YAMG provides plenty of cute scenes, as well as ‘omg DAMN’ ones, and hilariously funny situations. There were several times where I was telling my friends (who didn’t understand Mandarin) to not watch the episodes without subs because the scenes were THAT funny. What else is there to ask of a cute and funny rom-com?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I won’t gush about eye-candy, but I’m sure you already know what I’m talking about. (*wink*) Yang Yang and Dilraba can both be considered veteran actors and are very popular, both on MDL and around the world (including mainland China), thus the high number of users with YAMG on their PTW lists. As for acting, Yang Yang and Dilraba have witnessed both praises and insults, but they really shone here, wonderfully embodying their characters, both their lovable traits, and their hard times as they faced their challenges. The acting was not at all forced and had a very natural air from beginning to end.

I could name a few actresses that Yang Yang had great chemistry with and a few actors that Dilraba looked great with, but wow, these two can really act as a pair! This is what ‘off the charts’ chemistry is really like, my friends!

YAMG doesn’t have a second couple, but with Jingjing and Yu Tu’s sweetness, another couple wasn’t necessary at all. Besides, we got Jingjing’s Pei Pei and Sister Ling, who supported her no matter what, and Yu Tu’s Zhai Liang and Guan Zai, accompanying him through both happy and lonely times.

One more surprise- Janice Wu and Gina Jin are guest roles here! Although they didn’t have much screen time, it was just delightful seeing them in a drama again, and like always, they did amazing. :D

You Are My Glory’s OST is short but delightful. There was one song that stood out to me- Fireworks and Stars sung by Liu Yuning. The other songs were lovely and nice, but they weren’t extraordinarily outstanding. In fact, there was one song with a nice start but started to feel a little nagging in the middle. Maybe it’s just me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But background music was chosen very nicely and always gave off a light and airy feeling.

The production is also very deserving of two high thumbs up. Jingjing’s outfits were always very beautiful, but they never were over-the-top fancy or anything of the sort. And don’t even get me started with Yu Tu, I could go on for hours about Yang Yang’s outfits and his GLASSES. Lighting and camera angles were very pleasing to the eyes, especially the camera angles during intimate scenes.

All in all, the looong wait for YAMG ended with no disappointment. In fact, I think You Are My Glory has exceeded many of our expectations. Of course, it doesn’t suit everyone, but if you’re in need of a light and cute rom-com, give You Are My Glory a try! Maybe you’ll be like many of us, falling in love with the drama and its wonderful story.
