I really didn't think this story made sense but.....
I really wanted to enjoy this drama because I do like most of Zhao Lu Si's shows. I love how she can be silly in a lot of her dramas cause she is really good at it without it being so annoying that you want to turn the show off. There were things I liked about this drama it will make you laugh and it does have some pretty cute moments in it but where they really lost me was the last 10 episodes.Why I liked this drama: All the actors did great playing their roles with the story they were given even the second male lead that will annoy you through most of the show, but he plays his character really well that you can't be to mad at him. There are also parts that will make you laugh and that you will find cute. So the Drama is really lighthearted for the most part.
Why I disliked this drama: Number one answer the STORY it just went everywhere it was like the director didn't know what way he wanted this drama to go and there were scenes that just didn't make any sense what so ever but they threw it in it anyway. Another reason is like I have already stated the second male lead he is really annoying through the whole thing. At times it would seem that the show was a bit more about him then anything he was in almost every scene ( So good thing he could play his part well) he literally can't take no for an answer. Even though you won't root for the second male lead through this at all I also felt he had more chemistry with Zhao Lu Si then Xu Kai Cheng.
So overall I wouldn't recommend this drama just because of the story but if you are someone who can look past that and just enjoy the actors then I think you would enjoy this drama.

Super. Worth watching. :) :)
The super drama drew me in so much that I watched it until later in the night because I couldn't tear myself away. Zhao Lu Si playing the main character was fantastic. And Xu Kai Cheng playing the main character was also fantastic. There was a so-called chemistry between them. They matched each other in the drama. Zhao Lu Si in every drama plays great whether it is a contemporary drama or a historical drama super. Xu Kai Cheng for me is more suited to histotic dramas and contemporary dramas are also cool. In one word, drama is fantastic, it's worth watching. I give a rating of 10/10 with an asterisk. I rarely give such an assessment to dramas. Enjoy watching.Was this review helpful to you?
Too Confusing and Out of Place
I couldn't keep watching this as the pacing, the dialogue/writing, the music, and the acting felt misplaced.While I lasted only 7 episodes out of 30, there were just too many things that confused me enough not to be able to watch any further.
I'm not sure how much they were trying to "immerse" the viewers in this period piece but I felt like some of the bass music in the background was so out of place for its timeline setting. A lot of the time, the music just didn't fit. There was so much bass pumping out in the background, I was practically expecting some kind of dance to break out all of a sudden.
Other things that minutely bothered me were things like the storyline and plot. They would add these stupid clichés at the most inappropriate times. For example, the FL gets poisoned and of course, she acts all funny due to the "hallucinogens" in the poison which leads her to kiss the ML. But then she's later so sick that she's near death. One minute we're supposed to find it funny and "cute" and then they expect the audience to feel the gravity of her almost dying? I was just scratching my head. There was another scene where she fights off 4 assassins, gets a cut on her leg, and just when you think she's done for, some mysterious old man comes with a stick to beat them off and then disappears. Then she goes home limping and her father is barely enraged or concerned, so it downplays the seriousness of what almost happened. She also brags about it in class. Every time they have a serious scene, there's something that just makes a joke of it almost.
Another thing is Zhao Lusi... don't get me wrong, I like her and all but I think she's falling into the small kind of roles over and over again. I'm getting tired of her doing the same kind of cliché acting... her slo-mo looking at the male lead, falling into his lap, overly smiling, and let's not talk about her fake laughs. It was so bad here. Then every time they showed a close-up of her, I was just so distracted by her brown-highlighted hair that I felt like I was watching a very modern actress acting in a period timepiece. I was like, "Wow, they had brown highlights back then..."
No matter what period it was in, they can't fool some of us who know it's really about a teacher and a student falling in love. The long title really had nothing to do with her being the first female to enter an Imperial College. 7 episodes were enough for me.

Can't trust the reviews
The reason I gave this series a chance was the reviews. Now I'm sorry I didn't believe the ones with the poor ratings. I don't think I will complete the entire series because there is really nothing about this show that is enticing or appealing. I like the actors in other roles they have played, but even they cannot save the awful writing or the storyline in this drama, no matter how hard they try.The characters are unimpressive, and the FL's talents are wasted on the role of an irritating child bouncing around like Suzy Sunshine, against the (in my opinion) inappropriate connection with her teacher. The sudden turn of the SML from childhood friend and supporter to evil villain, well maybe deserve kudos to the actor for his portrayal but as a story line? Not believable.
I picked this series up out of desperation for something to watch on the weekend, but now that the weekend is almost over, I will drop it before it's done because I can't find a reason to stay. Next time I think I will take the reviews with a grain of salt and NOT believe everything I read.

There's just something about Rosy and the characters she plays. As a viewer, I get pulled into the story in every one of her series. Rosy's character in A Female Student Arrives is no exception so far. She is so fun to watch...my girl crush is at a 10 for her in this one.
At first, I wasn't sure about the ML because I'm not very familiar with him; however, he's won me over in just two episodes. I am absolutely loving his character and his interactions with the FL, so I'm not disappointed in the chemistry between the two. He's cold to FL's warmth. He's calm and even keel to her quirkiness. Where some people say characters might have a dry sense of humor, he has dry flirting down to an art. I've found myself replaying their scenes over and over again because their energy is so good.
The secondary cast is, so far, really good. Her best friend, and I know future one-sided love interest, is great. Although I admit I'd love to see a SML with a platonic friendship relationship with the FL, the jealousy the character provokes in the ML here is quite comical.
So far, this is a highly entertaining, and I recommend for Rosy and the ML alone.

Super cast pour ce drama 1/3 action - 2/3 humour & romance.
Contrairement à ce que l'on pourrait penser, ce n'est pas du tout un gender-drama (la FL est strong et intelligente, mais assume le fait d'être une femme et se bat pour l'égalité des genres).C'est l'histoire de la 1e étudiante à l'académie impériale à une époque où les femmes restaient confinées à la maison, agrémentée d'une très jolie (et solide) romance avec le Vice-principal, compliquée par 2 love ▲ et beaucoup de complots, trafics, corruption.
Cette story est mise en vie par un très bon CL (Xu Kai Cheng, Zhao Lu Si), couple étonnamment convaincant avec 1 réelle chemistry. Ce sont bien sûr 2 acteurs reconnus, mais ils excellent dans leurs personnages. Les autres acteurs sont également talentueux, particulièrement Ao Rui Peng et Ren Hao, qui crèvent l'écran.
C'est une série assez légère (le ton est clairement à la comédie), mais drôle et dynamique. On ne s'ennuie pas à un instant, tout au long des 30 épisodes.

Nette Geschichte für zwischendurch
Ich fand die Geschichte sehr schön, an einigen Stellen doch recht spannend. Die Schauspieler schaffen es in einigen Folgen einen abzuholen, so das man mitjubeln und/oder weinen kann.Generell eine schöne Geschichte mit toller Musik.
Der Visual FX hätte bei einigen Episoden besser sein können, aber war für mich ok.
ZL ist eine meiner Lieblingsschauspielerinnen und ich liebe ihre Darstellung. Ihr Lachen kann so ansteckend sein, wenn Sie zum Beispiel über das ganze Gesicht strahlt, dann reißt sie einen mit.
Sie hat so viel Potenzial als Darsteller, allerdings wurde das Potenzial hier nicht ausgeschöpft.
Kann man sich anschauen, ist eine nette Geschichte für zwischendurch.

Ciekawe, ale za długie
Drama jak najbardziej na plus, ale moim zdaniem troche zbyt naciągana fabuła, czasami powiewało dla mnie nudą. Główna para bardzo uroczna nie powiem, miło oglądało się ich perypetie, ale od 23 no już zrobiło się nudno. Obsesja Zhuo Wen Yuanwzględem Sang Qi mnie nudziło, ona się zaręczyła już planowała ślub a ten dalej myślał, że ma jakąś szansę. Rozumiem jego szantaż względem niej to było ciekawe, ale powinno wydarzyć się wcześniej, Całe to cackanie się z nią dla mnie bez sensu, tak samo jak koniec, że ją otruł.... miałam takie wtf... serio nie wiem dla mnie bez sensu relacja między nimi. Tak samo uważam, że Yan Yun Zhi mógł wcześniej poślubić Sang Qi i było by po problemie. Dla mnie drama powinna mieć 24 odc, te nudne momenty wyciąć i wkleić te ciekawsze i było by 10/10 ale niestety musze dac ogólną ocenę 8/10 no troche mnie przynudziła ta drama juz od 23 odcinka musiałam zrobić cosbie 2 tygodniową przerwę aby dokończyć tą dramę. ogólnie polecam, bo mino wszytsko pomysł bardz ciekawy :)
