Not Only A Pretty Face - Han So Hee
Han So Hee caught my attention in "The World of The Married". I enjoyed her performance in "Nevertheless", thinking, hmmm....another pretty face has emerged in the Korean drama industry. Then, when I saw the poster for "My Name" drama, I thought interesting, with her shorter hair cut and dramatic facial and body posture, 9 episodes, nothing to loose ....... and WHAM!! I was hooked from Episode 1.If you are into big time, revenge drama, kick-ass fighting, and totally un-plugged fury from a woman, this is one drama you have to watch. I will not write in detail the story line as many reviewers have done a good job doing so. For me, the story, the plot, the acting and the directing is truly satisfactory and, the one bright star for me worth mentioning again is Han So Hee. She carried out her role so well, she had me rooting for her throughout the drama. Not only a pretty face, but a really good actor. Having Ahn Bo Hyun acting as the good cop and Park Hee Soon as the bad guy is definitely a Big Plus in this drama too.
I enjoyed "My Name" so much and highly recommend to those who have not watched it.
Cheers! Korean Drama Forever!

Definitely recommend it!
This k-drama is officially one of my favourite k-dramas ever honestly one of my favourite shows ever. The music for this show was so, so, sooo well chosen I just loved the music choice a lot it really stuck out to me!The acting for this k-drama is some of the best acting I've seen in shows in a while, these actors/actresses really had me in the show in the moment on the edge of my seat just absolutely enthralled!
Along with the music and acting that stuck out to me was also the absolutely incredible cinematic work in terms of lighting, cinematography and just the overall creative direction was just breathtaking. Just loved, loved, loved everything about it, props to everyone involved in the making of this, from pre-production to production all the way to post production everyone involved did an incredible job!

Revenge is the name of the game
This is my first ever review I wrote for a drama, I'm excited to share my thoughts on this drama.I thoroughly enjoyed this k-drama, even though it had a lot more gore than I was use to in k-dramas. I really enjoyed the cast of the show, I really think the cast did a wonderful job in playing their characters in the show. The drama is intense from the beginning to the end of the drama, it will keep you on your toes the entire way through the drama. I enjoyed the fighting scenes in the show especially the fighting scenes with the main character and Pil-do.
I would say all the deaths were justified in the show except one death later in the show and of course her dad dying in the beginning of the show. And everyone seem to not like the ending of the show, I thought it ended fine in my opinion and especially didn't make sense to have a happy ending if you watched the show the whole way through.
As much as I liked the show, I definitely don't wanna re-watch the show right now again or ever and to me it is kinda of a one time watch. And I think it also has to do is I don't watch a lot of intense shows back to back, I mostly enjoy watching romance, fantasy and comedy k-dramas. But who knows what the future holds, I might end up watching this k-drama later on in the future.
My main point is that it is a good binge show to watch especially since the show only has 8 episodes, the cast is wonderful and the show is very interesting. So I would say also that the show is accessible to everyone since majority in the world has Netflix and to me its one of the best k-dramas on Netflix.

WOW
Im so hooked on this show. The drama, the suspension, tension, acting, fighting scenes... Its sooo good. Jiwoo lost her father to mafia, she barely pulled through but then, she became one of the most badass female characters I've ever seen in movies/shows. Binge watching this show is a must because if you don't, It'll hunt you subconsciously and be the only thing you can think about. Trust me. To some, ending can be predictable (of course she found the killer, that's the whole point of the story) but it's still very enjoyable to watch. Han Seohee killed this role. It shows different people in very different situations, some falling low enough and getting revenge (like Gangjae - his actor was very enjoyable to watch even though he's the bad guy, very good quality acting, and Jiwoo) to some accepting their destiny (like Pildo, who lost his sister to drugs, he never wanted to chase her killer like Jiwon did). Last episode made me sit at the edge of the chair. The suspension was real. Tactics that Jiwoo pulled to escape police and to find the killer were so very smart, the naked sex scene which I did not expect at all, the way Pildo made her genuinely happy for some time was so wholesome. I'll never ever forget what they did to him.... I cried so so much when he died whilst holding her hand... he at least had happy last moments... Thats how I try to comfort myself. Overall, I'll definitely be watching it again soon, really hope for S2 also. Was this review helpful to you?

Very suspenseful and interesting!
I think the story was very well made! The acting was amazing I loved every actor and actress because they all did such an amazing job! I loved the entire soundtrack. I think it’s one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard this year! I definitely think it’s worth rewatch although I don’t rewatch kdramas very often. Overall I think it was great! The ending in my opinion wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t bad either I think the ending was good and bad. It was good that she finally got revenge but it was sad that the only person that truly understood her pain died. Was this review helpful to you?
My name
This is a perfect revenge drama!! Full of action, betrayal and fights. Han So Hee is really one of the best actresses. For sure not a kids show, it is brutal and full of violence. Acting is really good. Not so suprising plot to be honest but if you like a genre thenI am sure you will like it.
Unpopular but I like ending and there is no need for second season.

My Name is Mary Sue
Revenge dramas are such cliche that if you've seen one you've very likely seen all of them. Let me just list some of cliches appearing in this drama:Main character has love/hate relationship with the relative who gets killed. Main character goes "I hate you! I wish you were dead!", but 5 min later, when the relative actually gets killed, main character goes "Nooooo, I want revenge! I want to kill [whoever made my wish come true]". That's a bad writing and handicaps the main character from the very start cause that isn't characterization. That's just drama for the sake of drama.
Main character puts the trust in the person most likely to have killed the relative, since that person was the closest to the deceased. I figured out the killer in the first 10-15 min and Google + My Name + Ending Explained revealed that I was right.
The killer never does the most logical thing - kill the main character since she's seen him even in disguise - but decides to train her to be tough, thinking that will mislead the main character, but also because main character is special. At the end of the day, it all boils down to character being special especially in female revenge fantasies.
They form a surrogate parent/child relationship which goes to hell once she falls in love with a nice beta orbiter that works for the good guys. (I spoiled myself just to see if I was right in this prediction and yep I was!)
Main character wins competitions with very little training because her new patron saint and father figure tells her to attack vital points instead of relying on physical strength that she doesn't have. As if, you know, other fighters with many years of experience don't know about that. :eyeroll:
Main character is always special be it the only girl among men (such as in this drama), or the youngest and least experienced new member among older and much more experienced (also the case in this drama). As you can expect from a special character, she excels at everything, earns everyone's respect by the sheer power of her specialness, or characters simply start liking her because , you guessed it, she's special. All the while, her acting is either po-faced "steeliness" or histrionics. No middle ground.
Since I was this close to punching the screen every time Mary Sue was on it, I decided the best course of action was to simply drop this drama or otherwise would have to buy a new set.

I really liked the show
This isn't going to be a long review but anyone thinking of watching it do it! I really liked the drama. I found it really interesting bcuz you could see how Jiwoo was fighting everyday and giving her upmost all to get to her goal. While doing that she kinda loses herself and like she says is ready to do anything and everything. I really like how there were people who helped her grow and open up:) What really surprised me though is the ending as someone who was watched countless dramas, I'm aware that there aren't many non happy rainbow and sunshine endings, so the ending caught me a little off guard (very). I really look forward to the continuation of the show . If there is one cuz to me the ending was kinda satisfying, like I said there aren't a lot of non atleast a little happy endings in dramas so i thought it was very refreshing and im a sucker for sad stuff:)Was this review helpful to you?

THIS DRAMA IS COPIED FROM LADY VENGEANCESEXUAL HARRASMENT OF FL IN LAST EPISODE
It wasn't on Script
HAN SO HEE wasn't even informed but director assume that she would do it because she is that kind of woman FOR them, because she has done proactive roles.
Director and ML just wanted to see her topless that's all.
Giho takes forever to die and did not die even after that many stabs, i find this 5ft guy more stonger then THE UNDERTAKER of WWE
ML has selective hearing ability during the fight with rapist guy he only hear whatever favours FL and miss everything that reveals her identity why because he wanted to screw her in the end...
ML Was introduced as asshole who look down on women but suddenly there is his dead sister
He was acting like he was born out of a man's anus
But because he is ML we need to ignore him looking down on FL
FL Is good fighter when it come to fight anyone but she is weak and lose everytime she confront ML why because director wanted to protect MLs cheap Pride that he can't be defeated by a woman he look down on.
MDL high rating Is 🐂 shit
FL why she is taking revenge for a father who never tell her his own name ?
A man who make her live like a criminal her whole life and Destroyed her youth, she spent her another 5 year between criminal to take revenge for that guy ?
It was story of FL but director can't resist himself from sucking to ML
Nobody feel a shit when he got a hole in his head
Why rapist guy left FL to die with ML
I would have kept her with me to rape anytime i want or shoot her in head, if i am that pscho.
Why he don't rape her after he catch her because ML wasn't ready to protect her that time so villian did not thought of raping her... How good is bad guy
Mujin could have shoot both of them but he choose to shoot only ML because dude is poor to afford another bullet, he wanted to provoke FL for final fight which he wasn't able to fight because all he wanted was to die
I give it 6.5 because it was good when you watch it for first time you will believe everything the told you but if you rewatch it then half of things would look NONsense
Mujin Was framed for a murder that was done by FL and nobody no soul objected like whole police department was ON IT.
FL wasn't even question after murder why she shoot ?
It like there is nobody above GOD GIHO(ultimate Ninja)

the story is wack
Park Heesoon was so hot in the show, but the story was sort of pointless and rushed in the end, also some unnecessary scenes, story could've been better.I heard about this kdrama after watching squid game season 3, people hyped it up saying its good, but nah, honestly I just watched it because I had a crush on the actor from squid game. I liked his gangster role it was bad ass, but throughout the time I was watching the show, I felt like there are some unexplained parts? like they focus on some unnecessary details that lead up to nothing? Like some people might enjoy this show but it just wasn't for me. The filming and action scenes were good though.
