Nice start but disappointing ending
ActingEveryone played their part perfectly, Han Sohee and Park Heesoon were magnetic in their roles. I was less convinced by Jiwoo's partner but it might be because I had a hard time not associating him with his Yumi's Cell character.
Story
The beginning episodes were engaging and left me feeling intrigued. The action scenes were so well done with the flow keeping it understandable but still intense (even though they have the getting-stab-but-totally-fine trope going on). There wasn't much suspense about her father's killer by the middle of the series as the captain was too obvious and no other suspect had been introduced by then so the plot twist wasn't that impressive.
The relationship between Jiwoo and Choi Mujin was the show's highlight for me with this blend of hatred and love, trust and mistrust between them. However, it was the only thing that I cared about as Jiwoo's character is nothing beyond her revenge, so I couldn't care less about her relationship with Pildo which was really out of nowhere and out of character for me. Big eye-roll for the ending, the logical outcome of the final fight would have been a nicer ending but well...

Good one time watch if you're looking for suspense thriller.
I was going through a drama slump. There was nothing thrilling to watch, and I really wanted to watch a thriller & that's when I decided to watch 'My name'.Truth be told, I wanted to rate it a 10/10, but the climax hit me. It kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, upto episode 6 . But then the last two episodes came along 🙄 Episodes 7 and 8. They have too many loop holes and weird trajectories, that changed my opinion regarding the story.
Upto Episode 6 it was just wonderful, pretty much awesome . Things were interesting.
Episode 6 onwards, ...
Why? why did she kill Taeju, and then destroyed the evidence simultaneously. Their actions made no sense. Once it was clear to her, who's her father's killer, if she was so desperate that nothing mattered to her, she had many chances to get back at him.
The last episode romance trajectory between her and Pil do, didnt make much sense. Never throughout the series did it ever felt like she had any kind of attraction towards her sunbae. Then why choose this plotline, only of he's gonna get killed in next 15 mins.
Another weird plotline : when Mu Jin was clear that he wanted to kill the girl, and left to get revenge from her, why why on earth did he kill Pil do & left her unharmed like that. He could've killed either only her or both of them right there. Honestly the last episode didnt make much sense & I just dont get it : if the captain survived, why on earth did Pil do had to die.
Enough about the negatives, now coming to the positives in the story :
Honestly speaking, from episodes 1 to 6 the drama is a gem. Right from the 1st episode the way fl is introduced, her dad's story it was really interesting to watch. Initial couple of episodes were fast paced and interesting. The plot handled really well and the story felt like a beautiful tapestry.
All in all its a good watch.
An action packed thriller.
A short drama, perfect for binge watching.

Brutal, Bold, and a Must Watch.
One of the best action/revenge dramas you can watch. I had to double check if this show wasn't directed by Chad Stahelski because of how insane it was. I can't say a single bad thing about this drama, story was on point, characters were written very well and each episode brought something new so it's easily 10/10 for me.If you're also a fan of Han So Hee or Park Hee Soon, then for sure you won't be disappointed - their acting was on point here.

I am a huge fan of a revenge plot but this was as predictable as they come. The only surprise from the show was that death in episode 8. I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING and most certainly wasn't expecting it. Han Soo Hee was excellent and I loved that she was a badass! The fight scenes were great as well! The fight choreographer did great work. 9/8/25

Revenge, blood, and plot twists sharper than her knife—drama doesn’t stand a chance!
"MY NAME : 8/10 – A Blood-Soaked, No-Nonsense Revenge Thriller That Doesn’t Pull Punches"WHY IT SLAPS:
Han So-hee’s glow-up from flower girl to full-on killer – Her rage is palpable, her fight scenes brutal, and her eyeliner? Immortal.
The raw, gritty vibe – No cute rom-com detours here, just pain, betrayal, and vengeance served cold.
Park Hee-soon as Choi Mujin – Charismatic, terrifying, and weirdly hot? (We don’t make the rules.)
THE "DAMN, THAT’S DARK" MOMENTS:
That train fight scene – Shot like a John Wick audition tape.
The twist – You’ll see it coming… but it’ll still gut you.
The lack of happy endings – This ain’t that kind of story, sweetheart.
THE "WAIT, WTF?" FACTOR:
The brutality – Bones break, blood sprays, and no one is safe.
The emotional damage – Daddy issues? Try "my entire life is a lie" issues.
VERDICT:
"Like Oldboy (am exagirating) and Kill Bill had a very angry K-drama lovechild." Watch if: You want action, angst, and zero filler. Skip if: You need hope or hugs in your stories.

The price of revenge is becoming a monster
I loved it! Though story is predictable and a cliché, still I enjoyed binging the entire series! I am always fascinated with Mafia/Gang/Yakuza/Underworld stories, I can't explain it. Maybe despite and in spite of the dirty world: including drugs, crime, violence and death involved with it, still I loved and enjoyed anything that has a touch of it.Anyway, I love Han So Hee here! What a revelation! From a sweet and demure characters to this one badass, revenge driven lady she became here. Kudos to everyone involved in the mini-series, they all did a wonderful job! I also enjoyed watching Ahn Bo-hyun here, maybe he's too convincing as an asshole from Itaewon Class that I don't like watching his works anymore, 😭😅 but I love him here. And will watch his other works again.
The action scenes kept me on edge, and was rooting for Ji Woo to finally catch the person who killed his Dad.
Just a precaution, if you don't like violence, and also, it has substance abuse here, stay away from the series. But if you're okay with it, go watch it! Definitely worth your time!

Pure perfection..
Excellent. Consistent in its plot, straight to the point with just enough episodes to say the story without diverting to irrelevant sub plots, strong character development, great acting from all the cast, with a female lead that understood her role and made it her own, suspenseful action scenes, very nice OST with some low bap bits that I personally favor and a finale that for once made sense. I wish more dramas were that good.10 out of 10 from me.
P.S No need for a second season. This drama is complete as it is and there is no need to expand or try to repeat it.

Not as badass as it seemed in the trailer.
This drama has dark-heavy plot. Storyline is ok ish to me, it could get better, who knows. So far, the plot is going steadily, pace is on the slow side.I really wanted to give Han So Hee another chance after Nevertheless but she doesn't fit this role.
FL in this drama supposed to be a woman who knows how to fight, strong willed, a gangster daughter. But the way she beats people up screams weak, the posture and spar technique is not convincing. Facial expressions looked like someone who's given up on herself rather than someone who seeks revenge. It doesn't bring out badass girl aura. She was out of breath and panting beating people up even after she 'grew up and received years of training'. This alone puts me off bcs I solely came for her and had such high expectations after watching the trailer.

Ripped my heart out and I still say thank you
I haven’t written a review in a while, so bear with me. I won’t put any big spoilers. I just put the warning In case anyone wants to go in completely blind.Triggers - I include this because I am triggered by SA and I don’t know this had that.
Attempted Rape, a LOT of violence, drugs
The story is good. I like police and crime dramas. It starts as most revenge stories do, the death of a close family member or friend (family in this case). But it got more into the organized crime side of it, kind of like lawless lawyer but also very different at the same time.
This is not a happy drama and there is not perfect ending in this kind of plot (when executed correctly…).
The biggest thing for me was that this really did make me feel things, all kinds of emotions and I was also conflicted at points. I don’t usually cry at dramas, I can think of maybe 4 that have accomplished that for me.
The ending is complex but the chain of events was necessary to push Jiwoo to her limit. I finished this drama feeling heavy and teary. But still, it was good and I am gladded to have watched. Now I need to watch something super sweet so I’ll fall asleep peacefully.
Thank you Han So Hee and Ahn Bo Young. 3

It takes a Monster to kill a Monster
This is what you call a good female oriented action thriller.Han So Hee nailed it, be it the action or the raw emotions each and everything was spot on. All the training she underwent for the role is visible on screen. A girl who is ready to go through anything to get revenge on the man who killed her father was shown in a phenomenal way. All the grief, rage, desperation and shock the character had till the end.
PHS as the mafia boss was so damn good and I don't think you can hate him till the end. Its simple with him, no matter what never break his trust or you will be sent straight to Jesus.
AHB's too was good as a police officer and a brother who wants to end the drug trade to avenge his sister's death.
The story is so engaging and keeps you on the edge. There wasn't a moment where it felt dragged. The icing on the cake was the raw and gory action. Be it the cage fights or the final showdown. I enjoyed it to the fullest.
