Waste of time.

For a beginner to CDramas, this can be cute and watchable.
But, truth be told, its got substance only upto episode seven.
I'm dropping this, after having watched episode 8 .
It makes absolutely no sense that a doctor would agree to get into matrimony with a man only to treat a single child. The reason the child doesnt talk being PTSD, I dont quite understand what was the reson for them to pretend to be husband and wife. It has absolutely no connection. Just because a child asks for something however stupid that might be.. Its irrational to just go on fulfilling. If the ML had developed crush on the FL and then asked to marry her, that would've still made some sense but, they both dont like each other, even then chose to get into a contract marriage.. That's simply Crazy.

Ridicule the medical profession

This is my personal view of this drama.
The only characters that I found worth watching were the child, 2nd ML and 2nd FL.

Unfortunately, the scriptwriter ridicule the FL's medical profession. If the character is a doctor by profession and a child psychologist on top of that, will she be clumsy (tripping over herself many times); messy (leaving her worn socks at every corner in the house); has a cluster bedroom filled with soft toys (worse than a kid's room)?? And being a psychologist, would you so easily break up your relationship with your love over what an auntie said? Doesn't that reflects how shallow your love is with that kind of behavior?

The interaction between the ML and FL was also awkward despite after professing their love to each other. Guess there wasn't any onscreen chemistry between these 2 actors.

The storyline development of the 2nd leads were more interesting and convincing.

Overall, bad scriptwriting, ridiculous character creation and weak storyline.

The short version: underwhelming despite a promising cast. the kid is cute though!

I was so excited when I saw that Wei Zhe Ming and Hu Yi Xuan were being paired together. He Qiao Yan is a workaholic CEO who is very logical and data-driven, but would also do anything for his son, nicknamed "Xiao Bao." Xiao Bao became mute after a traumatic event, but takes a liking to Qin Yi Yue, a child psychologist, and so He Qiao Yan proposes the marriage/work contract.

Hu Yi Xuan has such a sweet, charming smile and she's delightful to watch. Unfortunately, her character's earlier enthusiasm for her work is sidelined when she enters the contract. She's continually being guilt-tripped into caring for Xiao Bao, as He Qiao Yan becomes jealous and overbearing despite not even admitting his feelings for her. I never felt invested in their relationship; it was like I was just waiting for them to be together because they were the leads. Xiao Bao is so cute that he might be enough to distract you from the weaker plot points.

Ning Fang was a standout character--a caring friend who didn't overstep boundaries. As for the best friends of the leads, Yang Ruo Wei and Wen Gu, I was deeply disappointed. Their dynamic of smart & sharp woman who won't fall for the spoiled playboy's tricks is one I really like no matter how many times I see it in c-dramas, but it really felt flat in this case. I didn't think they truly got to know each other, and they were stronger characters just as friends of He Qiao Yan and Qin Yi Yue. (Their dynamic actually made me think of two side characters in You Complete Me that had a much better developed storyline.)

It really felt like the plot became weaker as the drama went on, certain storylines are rushed in the end, and Qin Yi Yue seems too easily pressured into a choice towards the end. I honestly sat there wondering if I missed something.

Overall disappointing but perhaps worth a watch if you like the cast.

Underwhelmed :(

Bro, I am quite disappointed with this one, the hype on Tik Tok was so huge but the final product was… underwhelming🧍🏻. The male lead was great (he was the second lead in “Count Your Lucky Stars”!!), but I wasn’t really a big fan of his character because I felt like he was always hindering the female lead in her work and sometimes he was just a little too much💀. I did like his little eyebrow twitch though, quite fun. The female lead was fun and cute, nothing to say. The actress was super pretty and I really loved whenever she was annoyed with the male lead, her face really captured the sentiment perfectly. I did like her bestie but as always, I didn’t enjoy any of the side stories to be honest, they’re always the same: rich CEO playboy guy falls in love with the female main character’s best friend. It gets old and I just don’t care💔. Xiaobao was the cutest little bean in the whole world, he made the whole show so much more fun and worth it. What a cutie patootie💗🧸👶🏻.

Embarrassingly stupid

I watched the drama till the end, often fast forwarding the scenes I could not bear, just because I like Wei Zhe Ming's, Wu Chong Xuan's and of course the adorable Sun Si Cheng's acting.

The drama claims to evolve around some children's psychologists and I couldn't believe how psychologically harmful the story spins.

The role of the FL lead is so badly written and as badly acted out, too. A "children's psychologist" who tells her client/stepson that his father is crazy and stupid, who allows to be pushed into pretending to have married the child's father, being pushed around, scolded and badly (mis-)treated like a child And besides all the stupid and heavily harmful treatments and comments towards the child (as the story line is, of course) she also tries tooooo hard to act caring and motherly towards the little one. But if you have an eye for it you see that she can't even ACT like that, often not knowing how to hold the child or use her hands on him... she doesn't maintain eye contact with him, unless it is especially needed for a close-up scene. and then it's extremely exaggerated. She also exaggerates being cute and innocent but heavily failing. It doesn't come naturally to her, it always looks like ACTING - poorly. I've seen her in 1 or 2 other dramas but don't remember her that annoying.

I'm aware that the performance of her role is partly dependant on the director and screen writers, who have also done a bad job here. The screen-writing ,directing as same as the editing is so lacking, it was really nerve-wrecking at times...

The ML's acting was well executed and consistent in whole, the same can be said of the 2nd and 3rde ML's, their story development was not as sensless as the FL's.

If you want to see a cute child's heart-warming acting performance and some good looking, well acting male leads and are ready to close down your brains against some illpgical and embarrassing actions and dialogues you can watch this drama.

Worth giving a shot!!

The story was really cute!! I loved how they started this story, it caught my heart! though I feel that the ending was rushed. It's already great but there could've been more to it. There are many questions that did not give satisfactory answers. And some scenes were kind of cliché.
One thing I really loved about this drama is how they worked on psychological traumas, as someone who is interested in psychology and wishes to be a psychologist one day, I really appreciate it. There should be more dramas like this, dramas should not be just for the sake of the story, they should give messages like this too. Mental health is really neglected in many countries of our world and it's high time we started to be aware of this if we really want to build a healthy generation.

I've watched Miles Wei's "Perfect and Casual" before but didn't finish it. His acting is much better in this one, I could say he really understood this character well, and the little details on his expressions were just amazing! This is my first drama of Hu Yi Xuan and I can already tell she's a great actress, she played her role really good in this drama. The child character was really cute!!! Sun Sicheng is a total cotton candy (/≧▽≦)/ awww my heart!!!

Music was great also! It was playful and energetic, changed the whole atmosphere of the drama.

Overall, it's worth watching. I've enjoyed it

I must say I love the storyline & the plot twist also love the way they connected with each other even before the contract marriage and I saw some people talking about the kid form a previous marriage it WASN'T his kid but he was an uncle who was willing to take responsibility that was the best part for both of them cause she reluctantly accepted his request to assist with the kid , I must say the person who was in control of the wardrobe meaning : Stylist did an amazing job I love ever outfit that was Visioned by the stylist that the cast wore also the female and male lead wasn’t annoying but had chemistry that built and both was independent and had different sense of direction interms of what was best for the kid but both parties ideas were good this drama is A 10!! Personally for me it was warm and bright felt like a life story

Unforgettable love... because it's so infuriating!!!

This show didn't give me the same unbelievable rage that Perfect & Casual did, but it definitely tried its best to get there with about 10 episodes left. Is it sad that the best part of this romance drama is when they were NOT being romantic?

Here are the good bits:
1. Xiao Bao is super cute. Like one of the cutest babies ever on TV.
2. Generally okay chemistry when the two leads are both playing into the comedy elements -- they are both good at that.
3. The music is nice. I enjoyed the opening theme song a lot.

Now here are the awful/stupid/ridiculous/infuriating things:
1. HOT TAKE: The ML does NOT like the FL. He just doesn't. The show does NOT do a convincing job of showing that he likes her for anything related to her personality or how he is with her or anything that is NOT related to his son. At one point, he compliments her by saying she's a good psychiatrist, is efficient, good to Xiaobao, good to him, and that's it. The show failed at showing me that HQY actually likes QYY for HER, that he wants to be with her because he likes HER and not because his son likes her and she treats his son well.

2. The ML is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO controlling omg. He's not as bad as the ML in Perfect & Casual, but I just HATED HATED HATED how he would literally snatch her away from ANYONE she was talking to -- whether it was her shixiong or her best friend -- and then she would just WALK AWAY WITHOUT ANY ISSUE. DUDE. Your LIFELONG FRIEND wanted to talk to you! And he just pulled you away without any explanation!!! HATED HATED HATED his jealousy. Idc how emotionally inept he is. He has to do better.

3. The FL does have brains this time around... for a little bit. But I agree with everyone else -- do not go to her for psychologist reasons. She will not respect your privacy lmao.

4. The pacing is wack. They drag out the will-they-won't-they for like 19 episodes, they get together for 1 episode, they break up (noble idiocy trope obviously) the next episode, and then there's a rushed reconciliation 1.5 episodes later. WACK.

5. The worst part... the second couple. DUDE. No one has Yang Ruowei's back if they are just letting her settle for the shitstain that is Wen Gu. Immature piece of shit!!!!!! The best parts of their interactions (which were still too many) were when Ruowei would one-up him and make him feel like the undeserving loser he is. BECAUSE HE IS! The last straw was when he intervened (WITHOUT ASKING) in bringing Ruowei's family back when she has CLEAR issues against her family and does not want them involved anymore, all because he thinks she "needs" some family around. And then she obviously yells at him because he doesn't get her AT ALL (AND NEVER DOES!!!!!!!!! HE NEVER DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it was a really hurtful thing for him to have done and suddenly in the last 3 episodes, after some more back and forth, he speed grows up and suddenly knows how to manage the company he has been put in charge of for the past several years. YEAH. SURE. I hated Wen Gu SO MUCH. This couple will break up two weeks after the show's timeline ends!

Chemistry + Cute Xiao Bao

After completing this series, I have to say that if it wasn't for the leads chemistry and Xiao Bao's cuteness I might have dropped this.

Why?
- the ending was rushed. there's no depth regarding the issue about the accident that caused Xiao Bao's parents to die.
- QYY was supposed to be smart but why do I find her a bit gullible? I am not sure of this though, I guess for me her thought process is a bit odd.
- HQY is a bit too much close to Miles Wei's character in Perfect and Casual, but I found his acting to be on point when he showed signs of PTSD after the accident, When he realized he was the one driving. The unfocused eyes, ramblings, and such it's on point.
- the 2nd and 3rd pairings were a bit rushed, I think their back stories was not well established. NFY falling for LW where did that come from? And the 2nd pair, it started with a bet but I never saw the WG and RW connection. Am sorry for their shippers.

What I liked in this one all in all is the interaction between XB and QYY, they are cute. The love between QYY and HQY was well developed. It's just that I found too many loopholes that kinda bugged me.
The OST is okay. As for the rewatch value, I would definitely do so because of Xiao Bao.

Trim the script and you’d come up with a better drama.

I really don’t understand why C-romance dramas waste time on the second and third lead romances when the audience is tuning in for the main couple. It always make for an overly long and convoluted plot. So much scenes wasted on secondary characters and clichéd plot devices such as the suffering too-good to be real second male lead and evil female lead, numerous unnecessary break ups, noble idiocy and so on. Honestly, this drama would’ve been much more interesting if it was shortened it to 16 episodes. This drama is relatively enjoyable , fluffy plot which I can never watch again.

I absolutely LOVED IT! It is so entertaining the romance is on point and if you keep watching you won't be disappointed. Very interesting script. From the beginning to the ending ,it was mind blowing. The chemistry between the main characters where very nice and strong. I watched it because of the kid at first. But then it lead me to wanna watch more because of the male lead. He is very handsome, gentle and not the typical style of CEO. The storyline is so different from normal love drama. More talking about how to cure the kid's trauma and the female lead involving next. They both looks very cute and sweet after they got fall in love.

The only part I'm not satisfy is the show kinda rushed it ending, where they only have 24 episodes I felt they rushed the ending. Especially episode 23. I definitely would have expected more exposure of the main lead trauma, since it has been the center of our focus since the inception of the Drama. I felt we needed more closure. it was wrapped up too fast. Humor, romance, storyline, production everything was perfect in this show but I felt like they will expand the story just a little more it would be be better but that's not the case.

Overall I would definitely recommend this show. It does not 100% show couple love but more towards a happy family love. I really love it.???

More forgettable than unforgettable...

Like everyone this drama attract me with little Xiao Bao. But it really hard to make me give high rating for this drama. Why...? Hm.... Here is some list...

What i don't really like:
- Very fast forward drama. It's only 24ep, give it quite short for c-drama world. But more toward the ending the more i feel they like touch the fast forward button to ending it quickly & save some money for hiring more actor. I mean like the explanation about the accident 5 years ago, which supposed to be critical, they didn't even bother to create more believable scene, they just skip everything.
- The chemistry between He Qiao Yan (QY) & Qin Yi Yue (YY) not so much. The way they fall in love feel weird in the way i can't explained.
- The way Ning Fang (NF) just that easy to let go his feeling for YY & that quickly to fall in love with Lin Wei (LW)
- The relationship between LW & her parent is very2 weird.

What i quite like:
+ Cute Xiao Bao. Yeah this kids it's quite cute. Not the cutest but still very cute.
+ QY is a very dumb man in case of relationship. He even need to make contract about they being in a relationship & that even involve lawyer.
+ NF is good man that just want the best for YY.
+ No crazy love rival / evil family.
+ The one natural relationship is between Yang Ruo Wei (RW) & Wen Gu (WG). Also love how WG dad attitude toward their relationship & toward WG & RW themselves as a person. He is really one good dad.
+ Quite like the soundrack.

Overall this is just one drama that i can say i've watch already.
