Waste of time

It was so bad i wanted to cry, the acting sucked it was stiff , scene transitions were confusing and rushed. It felt incomplete and lacking in story. The production is not good it lacked background music and ambience. A rea waste of time. U can't no longer remember the story just the bad performance of it.

Cute but confusing towards the end

Needing to lay low after an incident that causes his popularity to decline, actor Kang Seo Joo is tasked to stay at the house of Han Ji Woo, a chef that works at a local restaurant. They first meet when Seo Joo has to go to the bathroom and decides to stop at a restaurant. He asks the young man to make him something quick and delicious but ends up not eating the dish because of the egg on top.

The two don't start out so well. Ji Woo is cold towards him which Seo Joo doesn't understand. He even mentions that he wants to get closer to him a few times. When someone throws rocks at the window, Ji Woo confronts him and gives him a glass of water. This marks a turning point for them. Seo Joo even starts working at the restaurant that Ji Woo is working at.

They play basketball which was just a funny and cute scene. For someone who is suppose to keep a low profile, he is not doing a good job of that. He keeps telling people who he is. The drunken kiss is another turning point in their relationship and the confession made my heart leap. It was sweet and sincere.

I knew there was something going on with Ji Soo boss. The restaurant wasn't doing well and I thought he may have been jealous of Seo Joo because of how close he was to Ji Woo. I am still confused about the tape that was the cause of Seo Joo hiding. There was something in it that showed he wasn't the one responsible for the fight. And I still don't understand what was going on with the boss of the café. I wish that were more easier to understand.

I did enjoy the other confession. 'If you are unable to, then I will come to you." Seo Joo states (not the direct quote but something along those lines). It shows that Seo Joo understands Ji Woo may not be able to say it, but he does care and is just pushing him away because he does not want to get hurt.

I do wish that we got to know more about Ji Woo and what events happened in his life to make me not get close to people and I am curious why loud noises affect Seo Joo. In the end, the two stay living together and Seo Joo signs on to do a movie.

I see there is a season 2 so I will be watching that soon.

great chemistry, captivating story, great balance of softness and horniness

This BL has it all. A soundtrack that slaps, amazing call-backs and parallels, a couple with great chemistry, a story filled with compassion, angst, fluff, a little spice, and three-dimensional characters. I am totally in love with it and have rewatched it countless times and can't wait for the second season.

Every good show has at least one memorable moment that stays with you even after you finish watching it. And honestly, this show had SEVERAL moments that all live rent-free in my head, and I am not complaining in the slightest.

It's one of the very few BLs that actually don't feel cut short or oddly rushed but still leave some room for more (like a second season ;)).

Very Beautiful

I’m always looking for what series to watch nice and at the moment I’m in between a few that have episodes not released yet. To My Star caught my attention and I’m glad it did what I found was this series was short but very sweet and sincere. The story stayed on part and wasn’t rushed at all due to the episodes being shorter then 20 minutes the amount of time almost reminds me of Where Your Eyes Linger. In this tale we see two people come together and fall in love of course with any drama the new pairs bond is tested In a unique way. At no point was I lost or bored with the story I think everyone should give it a watch you won’t regret!

The appearance of an unexpected character changes the life of a quiet, introverted young chef

To My Star: Best Korean BL in my opinion. A pity that it's so short but even still, everything fits just right and both actors are really talented and played their characters very well. Their interactions are really cute and the best part is there isn't a second couple so all the story is focused on them and them only, hence a very well developed plot with little to no loopholes.
Perhaps a bit of bias on my side but I would always prefer if a series just focuses on one couple only so the plot can be more fulfilling.

Back to the main point, this series shows how a quiet and introverted young chef opens himself up to the character that suddenly appeared in his life. And then somehow the actor first fell in love with the chef, but the chef was being unsure and insecure but eventually accepted the actor.

Perhaps the only thing lacking in this series is how they actually fell for each other in the first place. I was hoping they could include parts where they explain how they actually feel for each other rather than just 'time' that brought them together

Come in with no expectations and you'll have a fun time!

Honestly I have nothing actually negative to say about this show. First and foremost, I come into BLs wanting to see cute boys be cute together and a somewhat decent plot and a good time. This show pretty much delivered! The story is not groundbreaking in any way, but it's a cute little show to watch for a bit and get your BL satisfaction in. I appreciate how they kept things simple honestly. The only thing I wondered during the show was "damn none of these people got better things to do?" cause the main issue of the story is really not that deep but it's also the biggest deal ever which i guess. all in all i recommend! It's also short which is a huge plus

What I really want to see from a drama

I'm not saying anything about cliches. To be honest they exist even in real life. The plot went like an ordinary story. But I think that's what made it so ,how should I put it ..peaceful to watch. There were romance, cuteness, fun but without any unnecessary slow motion or unrealistic lengthy eye gazing. The story flowed really comfortably. It was a romance story but didn't feel trivial. The acting was also really great. The chemistry was awesome. Though there wasn't that much cringe moments. Don't know why I was getting giddy watching it. Liked it very much . Would recommend 😊

worth a watch

I really enjoyed this drama. Its a slice of life story with realisistic plot points considering who the characters are. The acting overall was good especially Son Woo Hyun who played the main lead. i really enjoyed his characther as he was written to be really straight forward with expressing his feeling so there wasnt any "accidental miscommunication" trope happening.
The characters in general where engaging and interesting to watch.
The only thing i would change is that the drama is quite short and thus the relationship feels a bit rushed especially the ending. If there wouldve been even one more episode i feel it wouldve tied the story up more neatly.
over all worth a watch
Check out the second season too!

I loved it! Very sweet series. Very well made.
The story was a bit plain and I would have loved for the characters to be a little more developed.... but for the length of it, it was good enough. This needs to be a full series. We need some more depth into the side stories as well. I mean there are characters in there that make absolutely no sense. What's going on with Kang Seo Joon's parents? Where's the backstory about his fear? What happens to Kim Hyung Ki? What happens to Yang In Woo? Give me some more information! Please!!!

I have to say though... I was very impressed by the acting, especially by Son Woo Hyun.

What an amazing little story!

I loved how everything develop, and the way love is something that you feel, and it really does transcend genders. It just put your world upside down in a min. The story is simple but meaningful, and it has the most beautiful deep moments and those small details that just steal your heart away. They way their love develops is so beautifully shown, it just breaks your heart and put it back together at the same time. I find their chemistry pretty cute, and I am looking forward to watching the second season already!!

Son is for sure the star of this over all great series. Thank-you Viki.
Son's infectious smile is enough to make this a great series. However this is a a very good series and worth while story with very good messages. Filming and scripting is also top notch. Though it doesn't seem like a set up for season 2. I do hope to see Son and Kim in another series. A full series. For a short series this... Updated: there is a Season2. I hope it is as good as this one. I'm not sure reading the epilogues. I'm nervous.

I am meeting the director Hwang Da-Seul for the second time in a short time (the first time was the series Where Your Eyes Linger) and she did not disappoint me again. A beautiful, magical appetizer among BL series will captivate the viewer right from the first episode. It's just that everything is "done" completely differently than the usual scheme. The characters are perfectly written and even better acted, especially the excellent acting performance of the two main representatives in civilian age of 31 and 22 years stands out.

Actor Kang Seo Joon is in trouble because he beat up his best friend, also an actor, in one of the bars. But in reality it was different and Kang doesn't remember much because he was drunk, only his friend got into a fight with a bar guest and blamed it on Kang to hurt him in public opinion and climb the popularity ladder ahead of him. The owner of the agency Kim Pil Hyun, who represents Kang, has to quickly "clean up" him from his luxury apartment to one of his rental houses in the suburbs of Seoul due to intrusive journalists for a while, and pushes him to the young tenant, an introverted, modest and order-loving chef from a bistro Han Ji Woo, who is waiting for a roommate so he doesn't have to pay such a high rent himself.

It's rare for me to look at how much is left until the end, because I wish there were many more episodes ahead of me (I have the opposite tendency with most other BL series). No unnecessary detours and running the story into curls that only delay and lead nowhere, an excellent contrast of the silent and wall-building Han and the chatty Kang with an often magical smile, who always says what he thinks and most importantly - these two beings are hit by the arrow of the most beautiful feeling in the world, what anyone and anywhere could wish for. How will they deal with it when the circumstances of each of them are completely different and public opinion in South Korea is not in favor of such relationships, especially when one of them is a famous actor?
