Best romance show ive ever seen

Ill start this review by pointing out the only flaws with this show in my opinion

1. the editing and sound design was a little bad/cheesy to me
2. i didnt really care for the cinematography

however, the acting, and character writing was absolutely insane
1. both the main actors did a fantastic job, you could feel the emotions they were portraying without any dialogue even
2. the characters are very well written and compliment eachother well, and the relationship was super healthy
3. it felt so realistic to the real feeling of falling in love with someone

overall this show left me feeling alot of emotions and love for the main characters, its quite possibly my favorite depiction of romance ive ever seen, absolutely fantastic job by the crew, writers and actors.

This is one of the best BLs if not even the best I've watched so far and bro when I tell you that yes it deserves all the praise it gets, Coz it's just that good 😏🤚🏽.
The chemistry between pat and pran is one that you won't find anywhere!!!!! I've never ever been a fan of Friends to lovers but for Bad buddy I had to make an exception 😂🤚🏽.
The acting, the music and the story was executed perfectly👏🏽! I had nothing to complain abt as I was watching the series. I did not want to binge watch it quickly coz I was sad that I'll finish watching it too soon🤣 I can never get tired of rewatching Bad buddy the series. If you're not a fan of BL series and you wanna start watching one I definitely recommend Bad Buddy 😩🤚🏽 I promise that you will not regret it🤭

One of the best Thai dramas.

I really enjoyed pretty much everything about this drama. I love the enemies to lovers trope. It’s my favorite to watch and to read about so I was super pumped to watch this because it is that enemies to lovers in a BL. Both leads are excellent characters and their chemistry is unmatched. I think they really did a great job of making them complex individuals as well like we really got to understand both of them and their families, their backgrounds, and how they feel about all of the family drama that exists. I also loved the secondary couple. It’s rare that we get a GL as a secondary couple and a boy and a BL but I enjoyed seeing this and I can’t wait to see those actresses in their next role that they play together, so super excited.

I thought that the show was funny when it needed to be serious when it need to be I cried on certain episodes the kiss that When they finally confess their feelings was just absolutely beautiful it was a wonderful moment. I also really enjoyed that. They weren’t ashamed to be in love with each other when their friends found out about the relationship they didn’t lie about it they didn’t try to hide it they were just like hey it is what it is and their biggest concern was truly their families.

Also, I love their friend groups even though both groups or warn against each other I thought that they complemented the leads really well and I thought that they were funny and I would be happy to join really either of the friend groups if I had the opportunity to so great job on the ensemble, casting of all of those characters and the writing for a really depicting that type of friendship.

Of course the whole family drama was super immature. I mean the reasons why the parents didn’t like each other was really dumb and I think at some point they needed to just get over it and it’s been long enough like 20 years since the event happened so you think that they were just I don’t know move on with their lives they didn’t, and ended up making their sons lives miserable, but if we didn’t have that we wouldn’t have this wonderful drama.

Lastly, I thought the music in the drama was really really great and it’s definitely that sound tractors on rotation. It has been since I first watched this drama over a year ago so big props for you know the music team that I found those signs because I thought they did a really good job of depicting the emotions that the characters were going through.

Breaking stereotypes, more than just a cute plot with cringey lines

A non-cringe, healthy, and progressive storyline that breaks Thai BL stereotypes. PatPran portrayed their emotions so well and I could always feel the emotions of the scene even without conversations. It's cute, serious, and funny all in one, and it filled my heart to the brim after watching their story. I love how the scenes just make sense from layering one after another and how some quotes can be used for multiple scenarios in the series. This show really showed how you can love someone in many different ways without having to verbalise in plain words, and also fully expressed how love is love, regardless of gender. no unnecessary drama, just full of great content, bad buddy is my series of the year. Extra shoutout to the OSTs, super cute and really expressed the POVs of Pran alone, Pat alone, and then PatPran POV together.
0.5 deducted cause of minor impractical ways the casts communicated (e.g. in the middle of stairs) and rare actors' lack of immersion making some scenes seem less realistic.

I personally loved it because this show broke stereotypes, and showed us that Thai BLs could be so much more than goosebumps-filled plots and scripted gazes. It was not only a show, but also an educational journey of acceptance and living in the modern era, not forcing society to accept us, but not forcing ourselves to conform to society.

One of the best bl out there

From where do i start bad buddy is such an amazing series.Everything is so great about this series be it the storyline, the top-notch acting, the osts, the cast everything was just "Perfect". I literally fell in love with the cast so much that you can say i am officially Obsessed with them and their acting. The story is so simple yet so amazing. Nothing over the top a simple enemy to lover plot something we all have watched in our life at least once yet so impactful. I love how they broke so many stereotypes calling gay couple hubby wife or the bizzare dialogue " i don't like men i only like you" or be it the whole top bottom thing. Please go for it trust me you'll fall in love with this series just like i did.

10/10 aggressively competitive and comedic yet sweet way only Bad Buddy knows best how to

Basic synopsis: Two kids who grew up with families that hate each other are forbidden to be friends end up realizing they can’t be just friends.....

This is a series that really surprised me seeing as I had zero expectations. Nevertheless, I never expected to love this series as much as I did. As a new BL fan, I was on a mission to watch the classics. I’ve heard everywhere how much people loved this series, and after finally finishing - I can’t help but agree. As a fan of My School President (of which is under the same network-GMMTV), Bad Buddy gave me the same indescribable wholesome and “pulling at the heartstrings” feeling I loved from MSP but with so much more angst and yearning.

What I love in a haphazard order ( apologies, this is my first public review):
-Fast-paced, pacing is immaculate - every scene felt necessary
-No problem or plot point felt stupid/unnecessary
-None if few scenes were cringy
-As an avid “scene forwarder” (I’m looking at the travesty that is “Step by Step” (2023)), I instead found myself repeating scenes because they’re just that GOOD! I found myself absolutely CHEESIN’ over how cute they are / how sweet the moment is. We get them early on and consistently in the series, keeping each episode engaging
-Even for sadder scenes, each were achingly beautiful / well-written dialogue / both Ohm and Nanon’s eyes and facial expressions were so much LOUDER than any of the yelling / screaming they do (see: iconic ending of ep 4 / their first sleepover)
-I’m here for the slowburn and the absolutely well-executed ANGST. I also love the tropes where one is sulking and the other is doing everything in their power to have the other talk to them which not only increases the tension but helps you understand the character even better. These are tropes are something Bad Buddy have made me realize that I love across all media platforms whether they be books or series/movies
-The characters are so well done. I’ve seen many other reviewers point this out:
--Pat as an architecture major is an over-thinker and catastrophizer, a bit of a neat freak
--Pran is an engineering major, a “go with the flow” kind of guy, a bit impulsive, and kind of adorably annoying
--So the way they both reacted at the viral ending of EP 5 was so true to their character and inevitably foreshadows the future episodes
-The unexpected first kiss scene very early on in the series was a cinematic masterpiece, I can't even describe how much I loved it
-Every time the actor was emotional, I find myself aching and laughing along with them. I don’t even realize it - it just hits me straight in the feels without trying
-Overall, I think there is a genuine love and chemistry there that other series find difficult to capture AND successfully execute. Bad Buddy is able to do so flawlessly.
-I know this is a low bar - but I never felt for a moment that any of these actors were acting. Every scene immersed and surprised me from beginning to end
-I have NEVER EVER laughed my ass of at an ENDING of a series before. It encapsulated the dynamic of their relationship and this series as a whole - the aggressively competitive and comedic yet sweet way only Bad Buddy knows best how to

Good Watch

Pretty good show, it had me fully hooked. The rooftop scene is probably one of the best first kiss scenes I've ever seen. It was SO good. The tension building up and the way they took their time!! Waiting between sentences because in real life these conversations are hard and you build up your confidence for every sentence that makes you vulnerable. I rly liked the acting from Nanon and Ohm all throughout and how the characters seemed very distinct. Also loved the Pa and Ink crumbs.🫶

The beach episode and the story of the Uncle and Junior was also very well done and what he said will stay with me forever I thought this was amazing: "You might think one man can't change the world.
But I want you to know that this world can't change someone like me either."

I just have some problems with the story at times.😩 Some stuff rly annoyed me it didn't make sense like we're really gonna act like not telling Wai abt the relationship was just the worst thing ever. He had perfectly great reasons not to. And then he has to ask for forgiveness when really Wai was the one who actually acted to intentionally hurt his friend. Not one word abt that?

And why was the last episode lowkey shit🫩Makes me so mad because it was SO forced and unauthentic the entire episode was just them talking abt the "good old times" but it has no effect because for us it hasn't been 4 years. (I also just hate time jumps like that in general) The "good old times" were like 2 episodes ago lmao.
Like the entire episode felt not only unnecessary but literally took away from the meaning. Because you're telling me they went back to hiding after struggling with that so much and everyone already knew and most people were fine with it?? Then using that amazing quote from ep 11 saying the world "can't change them" but they literally modified their relationship to please the world like... I just think this show could've ended so much better.

When love beats hate ?️‍??

I genuinely *loved* this drama! 😍 It completely deserved all the hype it gets — especially the main couple! Their acting and the way they expressed emotions were perfectly executed. 🎭 The enemies-to-lovers trope was portrayed beautifully, and I loved every bit of it. 💖

I also loved the friends’ roles! 💕 They were supportive when they needed to be and angry too when they found out the guys — who were supposed to be “rivals” — had actually fallen in love. 😂 Their reactions felt so real! And the girl couple? They were *sooooooooo* sweet, cute, and absolutely freaking adorable!! 😭💞 I loved them — they added such wholesome energy and balance to the story. 🌸

One thing I really appreciated was how the drama didn’t fall into the cliché “I’m not gay, but I like you” narrative. 🙅‍♂️ Instead, it explored the idea that love isn’t about gender — it’s about the person. 💕 That message really resonated with me, and I could truly *feel* it through the characters’ journey. 🌈

However, I wasn’t too happy with the ending. 😔 I didn’t like how Pat and Pran still had to hide their relationship, especially from their parents. Their parents eventually found out, even if indirectly, but it felt unfair that the kids had to carry the burden of their parents’ old feud. Like, come on — it’s a fight between the parents, not the kids! 🙃 When two people love each other enough to elope, that should say something. 💔

And I just have to say — Pat’s father really frustrated me. 😤 Dude, *you* were the one who caused this whole feud by stealing Pran’s mom’s opportunity, and now you act like this noble family head? The manipulation, the guilt-tripping, the pressure to compete with the neighbors — ugh, typical Asian parent behavior! 🙄 I understood Pran’s mom’s point of view after the truth came out, but still… let your kids live and love already! 😩

But honestly, that’s what makes the show hit close to home — it reflects real-life family pressures in so many Asian households. 🏠 It’s messy, emotional, and painfully real, and that’s exactly why it sticks with you. 💭

Overall, *Bad Buddy* has an amazing plot ✅, brilliant acting ✅, and incredible OSTs 🎶. It’s absolutely worth the watch! 💫
