Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

갯마을 차차차 ‧ Drama ‧ 2021
The lead couple from HTCCC gives me the same vibe as that of the lead couple from the MMIC. They are all so pretty, corny, and adorable.

The FL from Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and the ML from this drama both are from medical field, one a dentist and the other a vet.

Both of them moved to a small town/secluded area from Seoul, one to open a small dental clinic while the other to take care of his grandfather's vet clinic

Both of them are not familiar with the vibe of the village when they first came

Yeah the grandmas! Three grandmas!
No but really
There are many similarities
Feel good romance dramas, with mature characters leaning on each other and healing each other
Female lead who’s good at her job, leaves it.
Meets a guy from the county side who is skilled at many things.
At first both dramas don’t have a clear story direction.
MHOJD was better written, and had more of an existing story line than HCCC.

For fans of Family By Choice, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha offers a warm, uplifting narrative centered on community and connection. Set in a small seaside village, it explores how diverse individuals come together to support each other like family. Like Family By Choice, it features characters navigating personal struggles while finding a sense of belonging through relationships. Both dramas blend humor, heartfelt moments, and life lessons, showcasing how close-knit communities provide a foundation for healing and growth. If you cherish the comfort of strong relationships, this series will charm you with its delightful storytelling.

A very pleasant yet calming story of two individuals. The story does not have any unnecessary side plot or annoying SL's! The drama depicts how doctors can love life too without any medical scenes which is quite refreshing. Also, the Male Lead is a breath of fresh air, not the airheaded/cold-hearted CEO who annoys/bullies the girl he likes in fact he is the one who makes her into a better person. A sweet, loving funny, empathetic, down-to-earth rich guy is every girl's dream! A must-watch for those who love peaceful dramas!

Both dramas start off by one of the main characters moving from a big city to a town for work. At the beginning of both dramas, the main leads meet several times because one of them has multiple jobs, which is something that confuses the other. In both shows, the characters' relationship doesn't start off too positively.

Meeting each other in an unusual place. In HomeCha the FL has taken the risk of starting up her business in a small town she was not familiar with. In the Package the FL also took the risk of moving to France and work as a Tour Guide. Both Drama has multiple couples with different story. Both are healing drama.

One of the best dramas Shin Min Ah has starred in.

HCCC is lighter and easier to watch while TWY requires more effort because of the time travel theme, nevertheless, both are worth the watch.

Soft-Spoiler-Alert:
HCCC has issues with their past (ML's mystery), while TWY unravels issues of the future.

Both tell of stories where the main character is thrust into new (slightly remote) environments where they learn to get along with people different from those they've met before. They tell stories of self-discovery, growth, and emotional healing.

Hyejin is a city girl dentist who moves to a small rural town to start her own practice. "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" tells the story of how she adjust to her new neighbours and their country-side way of life, which is completely different from what she's used to.

"If You Wish Upon Me" tells the story of GyeoRe, an ex-convict with not much reason to live. His life becomes entangled with a hospice (palliative care center) and is forced to become a volunteer driver for their patients. he is surrounded by dying patients who are fighting to make the most of their last moments, and hospice volunteers trying their best to grant wishes to those in their last moments.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

It's similar because it's the original!!! Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a remake of this movie. <3333
Anyway hoping for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha to be good! I have high expectations for it.

A sassy rich lead moves to the country side and falls in love with a friendly, poor person. That person makes the lead change themselves and grow. Both dramas show the rural life and the people living there act like one big family. The shows show the beauty of a simple life.
