In fantasy gaming, one of the biggest mistakes a DM can make is often the introduction of an artifact - magic weapon, magic ring, whatever - that is just too powerful. It breaks the game balance, skewing everything one way or another for the players. Either it's something that helps them, but because it is so powerful, it makes the game too easy. Or it is something that hurts them and just makes the game impossibly difficult. The Wooden Bracelet that just got inserted into the story is like the latter. It's basically a curse. And because it is made from the Hair of Goddess Mei, it is incredibly powerful. There is no way for the Player Character (Ling Miao Miao) to break free of it. This artifact has taken away her free will and turned her into a Non-Player Character. So we as the viewers are stuck watching what amounts to a cut-scene in a mmorpg now. Until the _game_ events - completely outside the player's control - happen to finally free her of the curse, she will just be an NPC. Miao Miao has no agency anymore. Imagine playing a RPG and the DM keeps telling you, "You can't do this." and "You have to do that" all because of some cursed item you picked up that takes away your ability to choose what you do. That's not fun. And this show just became that for now. Just have to grit teeth and wait for an event that frees her.

I don't know if I am wrong about it, but maybe the tier 9 demon is some human sacrificed by Dowager Empress and Mu Yao's father covering that they were ending the demon's life, but actually sacrificed an innocent to be possessed and affected by the formation. I hope MiaoMiao can break the enchaned evil bracelet.

I just don't like how they just threw a random plot thing (oh a bracelet that has love potion effects like what??) w/ no warning and made that the reason MM and ZQ fall out, and ZQ didn't even try to search further, even though he knew something abt the bracelet was sketchy.And poor RS doesn't even know he's being led on accidentally. He'll be so heartbroken when he figures out it's fake. And based on what I've seen of this show, I feel like he'll realize and maybe give up bc you could tell he was about to when she rejected him. He knows when he loses.I've loved the show leading up to this plot arc, and I thought they would do things differently, but it's kinda disappointing they still did the misunderstanding trope.. Maybe how they resolve this will redeem it but idk..looking kinda bleak. It's not so bad that it'll make me drop it but still..

I know that MiaoMiao is enchanted by the bracelet, but if that woman wants to kill Mr.Zhao, it means that she will harm Miaomiao too.🤔🤔🤔It is impressive how Mu Sheng couldn't find anything suspicious when he checked her with his powers.The hidden formation, and that red devil, I thinking that statue is the woman right? A powerful demon sealed by Mu Yao's father.

Mu Sheng plans to confess to Miaomiao so he asks Cui Cui to take MiaoMiao out for shopping until he prepares everything needed. The preparations were almost ready but unfortunately he was a bit late.
