If you love a quirky but brave FL, I highly recommend watching !

I love this drama!! Got me hooked real bad 😭🫶🏽
I'd never watch any dramas other than kdramas but this cdrama will definitely have me exploring beyond that.

The plot, the characters, the twist, the setting 😫🤌🏽

The FL is such a cutie & I love her persona— she has such a big and warm heart ! & Their little crew, "The Four Bamboo Masters" are such an elite group of MCs 😭

Ws in the chat y'all !

A beautiful romance that blooms!

The type of show that pulls you in within 20 minutes! I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in checking out Cdramas. A well rounded cast of talent and none of the characters were truly villains in my opinion. Every single character had their flaws and that’s what made this enjoyable. Every character had a redeeming quality, you do things for people you love. You may not agree with some of their choices but when you love and care for someone, you are left to deal with things in your own matter.. that’s what this story has taught me.

I truly love the main 4 leading cast, their bond and dynamic is precious, and the main romance… makes my heart swoon!

OST is amazing too.

I’ll be thinking of this one for awhile.

a drama with beautiful world building and lovable characters

one of the best cdrama for me this year!

the best thing about this drama has to be the world building. the world consists of demons and demon catchers. and are protagonists are demon catchers. our fmc lands in the novel of her fav author and has to complete the story to get out. a very common setting but how the drama went about it was beautiful.

the plot was well written. although the pacing did get off (almost all cdramas do) it still kept me hooked. all the side characters had personality and their own stories. they were given the time they needed and i loved their stories too.

the whole found family trope was so good to read. i loved the little team they formed and how they cared for each other. i so wanted a mirror of it all in the modern world once ling miaomiao got out. im not disappointed with the ending but i did want more from it.

overall, a wonderful drama with high rewatch value. a cozy fantasy that you can watch this winter.

Dare I say one of the best of 2024...

I love every minute of the this show. Personally, I thought the ending was really confusing but it still somehow worked. The last 3 episodes was so just so much information for it to be mushed into 3 episodes. The ending felt really really rushed and for that I had to bring down a point. The storyline other wise was amazing as well as the cast of characters; from the main character to the side characters, everyone was very well flushed-out and they're not just NCPs in a story; they are their own characters and have a flushed out story. The ending message was so meaningful: "When can someone love someone else at 100%? Of course it's not when I love you more than I love myself. It's only when I truly love myself, believe in myself, then I can full-heartedly and truly love you."

Casting choices was amazing. Yu Shu Xin and Ding Yu Xi did absolutely phenomenal. Their acting was so well done from the micro-expressions to the emotional scenes to the comedic scenes. However, I wish they would've let DYX use his actual voice in the drama because it suited the Zi Qi so well. He has that youthful rebellious voice that suits him so well. From the second I watched Moonlight, another drama with YSX and DYX as the mains, they've been my favorite duo/couple because their chemistry is so good together. Please, I need another drama with them. I love how this is both YSX and DYX, and Zhu Xu Dan and Yang Shi Ze's 2nd time working with each other as couples. ZXD and YSZ were together in Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact. YSX, DYX, and YSZ all worked together in Moonlight as well.

Overall I really really loved this drama, truly one of the best dramas of 2024, if not only of my personal favorites of all time (it changes a lot, but i think it secured a spot in the top 10).

Awesome !! Interesting !!

Story - Even though we have few this troupe , This is some what different where I felt it would be good and continues in the real at least 10 or more min
Actors - I really Love all the characters and their acting , They all really look good in their outfits
Chemistry - The couples in the drama has good chemistry , may it be First or Second and I really Like when they have group in dramas and we have another best group here and the bamboo boy is too cute .
On the Whole the drama is light hearted where it concentrates on Individual characters than deep Revenge and the places in the drama is also good and Dust Demon stole my heart ( Cute <3 ) . The music with the scenes was wow , It is really cool and gave good feeling .

I wish I could rate this drama in parts - a 9/10 for the first 20 episodes or so, and an 8/10 for the latter half. The first part had almost everything I wanted in a xianxia, and it was unexpectedly hilarious, touching, and romantic. Props to the cast, but especially Esther and Yu Xi who really played their roles well.

Perhaps because the first part was so good that the latter half fell short for me - the plot moved much slower, and moments between the two main leads lessened a lot as the focus was more on the background of the second leads and ML.

Overall though, this was a really nice, feel good drama.

A Well-Paced, Heart Warming Watch

I went into this drama, expecting something that would help me pass the time. By no means, did I expect myself to be so enamoured, that I would wake up early every morning to watch the newest episode. Not a single scene had been skipped while watching.

I think many people brush over the real charm of this show. While, yes, there is great romantic chemistry between both lead couples (I giggled through every scene), what stood out to me, and what is severely lacking in other romances, is the platonic chemistry between all five cast members. Yes, I know, you're telling me this is not entirely uncommon. What sets LGIEF apart, however, is that every character is given a chance to shine, WITHOUT taking away from the protagonists story.

To see other characters fleshed out, in my opinion, makes the world feel all the more real.

Finally, while I agree with sentiments that "the latter half was not as enchanting as the first", it remained infinitely more interesting than your average drama. I, personally, enjoyed it completely, and urge others to not be discouraged. On my part, the only reason I've taken away points, is for how explicitly rushed the last few episodes were. Another episode, or two would have been great.

I'm absolutely smitten with this C-Drama! It's the first time I've seen a plot like this, and it's a breath of fresh air. The open-ended finale was brilliant; it leaves room for imagination while still providing a satisfying conclusion.

If you can't get enough of Ding Yu Xi and Yu Shu Xin's incredible chemistry, Moonlight is the perfect next step. It's a delightful and heartwarming continuation of their story that will leave you smiling.

Love yourself before loving someone else

Love Game in Eastern Fantasy is your typical isekaid drama where the Female Lead transmigrates into the world of a novel she left a bad review for . In that world, she inhabitants the body of the Second female lead who's supposed to be secretly evil. Her mission is to save the world and conquer the heart of Mu Sheng, who has a complex personality.

The drama is very funny and the chemistry between the leads is amazing. I enjoyed it for the most part. It feels like I'm watching an anime but with Chinese mythology, the stories of the demons are also interesting in the beginning at least. I feel like the drama lost its momentum a bit in the 2nd half.

It started becoming more and more boring towards the end and many plot points didn't make sense, it felt like they were added just to increase the time span. Many arcs were utterly boring but the magic that Esther Yu and Ding Yuxi create by being together was interesting enough to continue. The supporting characters were not memorable except Cuicui and his grandpa.

It's essentially a drama about self love and how we should be kinder to ourselves and the people around us. How we shouldn't judge people by their status if they are demon or human. Both can be evil or kind. We shouldn't fixate too much towards endings, it's the journey that counts. Although these messages and theme are beautiful and made me cry a bit, especially how they portray the beautiful bond of friendship and romantic relationships. But i felt the execution of these themes could've been better.

Overall, it was trying to be something more but it kind of failed to be but the romance was incredible, I wish we had more moments of them and the comedy is also brilliant. Despite all the flaws, it's actually a pretty good drama to watch once.

8/10

A pleasant surprise!

This drama exceeded all my expectations. Such drama is usually not my alley abd I only plan to watch this one for fun but oh boy, I was so wrong. I was in for a ride, waiting for the next episodes to come. Honestly, I don't plan to make a review for this one if not for the spamming behaviour.
Pacing is surprisingly good. They didn't dwell too long on that damn bracelet.
Comedic timing is on point. The lightning, fake end credits, dust demon missing a decimal and Miao miao dying several times to offer medicine are funny.
Ding Yuxi is so good! His eyes are enough to express emotions. Yu Shuxin is good too. I cried during the father scene.
Script is the best selling point of this drama. The scriptwriter made changes that I actually appreciate, such as Miao Miao not being too clingy to Fuyi for the mission. I also appreciate how Miao Miao's remarks resonate with me as a viewer.
