Simple but Legendary Life of The Extraordinary Queen
As Li Hongyi's fans, I waited for this drama for so long. This drama really gives me a different feeling. For the first time, I really enjoyed it without too much thinking.Story. Even though there are some scenes that cut harshly, but this is one of the dramas that are light-hearted and simple. I can enjoy each of the episodes without worrying to miss something important. It's unfortunate that some scenes are missing and affect the entire plot. But I really enjoyed the drama without thinking too much and feel the none sensed scene was really entertaining. Sometimes comedy comes from something none sensed. The romance is simple yet beautiful for the main lead or the other characters.
But the story can be more enjoyable if there is a wise adjustment to the scenes that are missing for some reasons.
Cast. Li Hongyi and Lamu Yangzi really outcome my expectation of each character. I watched this drama for Li Hongyi but I didn't expect Lamu Yangzi or Jackie Lie really catch my attention. Both of them executed the character really well as a Queen and King that extraordinary. Bai Shu as Yu Changya gives a strong impression on me too. Also, Wang Dong as Liu Xie is a unique character in the whole drama.
Music. I really like all of the songs, there is no soundtrack that sounds weird to my ears. The song is placed in the most suitable way for the drama. Especially, when Hongyi and Jackie sing together, they melt my heart.
I recommend watching this drama when you want to just laugh at silly things and don't want to think too much. Even though this is not the best.

Bella
I agree with this being a great comedy. I loved all of the characters and thought casting was good. I only had a couple or problems—one, not enough affection between main characters. He had several opportunities to kiss the queen and although he kept saying he wanted her to know how he felt, he didn’t take advantage of those times. Second, I was totally lost in ep. 23 when he was injured and the queen dressed his wounds seeing his scarred back. How did he get hurt. There was nothing to explain how he ended up in bed with everyone worrying about him—no fight, no ambush, just nothing.I really liked her interaction with her childhood friend and her parent’s relationship. I didn’t understand why she and her mother were in that little village away from her dad for her whole life. But, when her mother came to her dad’s house, her parents act/say they are married, then her mother runs away to the palace because her dad wants to get married. Confusing.
Other than those two main issues, I really enjoyed this show. I liked the emperor’s friends and how much they cared about him and I really loved the way his family all got along and his younger brother was so inventive and supported him wholeheartedly. Having the queen’s sister be a writer of romance novels was fun too. The girl can’t win over the emperor but has all these great love scenes in her stories.
Although it was a fantasy, I enjoyed the uncle’s PA system—it just added to the farcical theme of the show. I would like to see a sequel to this to see what other kinds of trouble this group can get into. It’s a fun time in my opinion.

The heroine is too ugly to play the main role
The plot is simple, some costumes, some styles, some makeups and sushi eating scenes look Japanese. Jackie Li real name is Lamu Yoko (Sound Japanese) I hope this drama wouldn’t cause any problems to some Chinese extremists in China who don’t like the Japanese culture. I watched this drama because of the two actors Li Hongyi and Bai Shu.Queen Jin Feng played by Jackie Li is terrible, she is too ugly to play the main role, but her voice is very nice and should be played as the voice actress and the supporting role. Emperor Yun Shang played by Li Hongyi is very handsome and a very good looking. Li Hongyi acting skills in ancient costume drama have been improving a lot. Chang Ya played by Bai Shu, a good looking guy and always has a good humorous. The soundtrack performed by Jackie Li and Li Hongyi are also good, both have a nice voice.
In conclusion: It’s just simply a comedy Chinese mixed Japanese ancient costume drama, but the ugly Queen is too regrettable.

Intrigant plot but the tone becomes quickly unbearable
The plot might seem interesting: an arranged marriage between the future emperor and the (chubby and not very attractive) daughter of the Highest Councillor. But the tone of the drama, whimsical, even comic, with many overplayed characters, repetitive coincidences, becomes painful, more than funny! The OSTs are in the same tone (shifted to accentuate the Comedy aspect). The apotheosis is the end in Bollywood's style...
Moreover, this romance between the emperor and his wife does not show real chemistry. There are no cute or intimate scenes! In short, I couldn't believe this couple.
I watched it untill the end of curiosity, but even if I like ML, I will certainly not rewatch this drama.
