MCs' personalities were too tiring for me
Lately I don't try too hard to finish a drama, so at least this was worth finishing! And in my opinion it got better on latter episodes. What I wasn't a fan of were the characters. Not really the acting, the actors did a really good job, but the script itself made the personalities too overwhelming.
Dali too "noble" and composed and Jin too loud and rude all the time. I wouldn't mind if it was a little bit less intense.
That being sad, when they start to grow attached it got muuuuch better! He became less irritating and she less frustrating throughout the drama. Overall we got a great character plus relationship development. Yay! I deff would've dropped it if it weren't the case though.

The second lead in here is actually terrible and this was the first time where i actually disliked the second lead with my whole heart. Like he was just a pure asshole and he wasn't likeable at all.
Most characters in here very pretty cool tho especially dali, i really liked her personality and how she handled most stuff.
I don't really remember how much of my attention span was on here but i do remember that park seoham made like a 5 second guest appearence there as one of the kpop group members and it was so random but its one of the things that stuck with me.
Its a pretty cute kdrama overall, i recommend it!

take note on how to make complex yet easy to understand characters like this.
The plot isn't anything special but the characters are what makes this show greatFL: Everything an heiress should be. competent, dignified and charming. She gets put into a situation where she needs to take control of the falling family business once her father dies.
ML: He's ignorant and uneducated yet through his wits and hardwork, He managed to become a successful person. After meeting Dali. He slowly realizes theres more to success in life than in money.
SML: He's powerful and he knows it. He always has a plan and if it fails there's a plan B. He's not evil, He's just manipulative and will do anything to get his way. A great antagonist to the whole show.
SFL: She's spoiled and ignorant. Her only purpose in life was to be used to make connection for his father. A pitiful existence that's been tamed with social status/money. Easily my favorite character.

Finished because of male lead
I ended up fast-forwarding through the vast majority of this drama. The only reason I actually pushed through to the final episode was my appreciation for the male lead's performance and charm.Overall, the storyline felt incredibly boring and struggled to hold my attention.
The Main Romance: A major letdown for me was the lack of connection between the two main characters. The leads just didn't have the necessary chemistry to make the romance believable or engaging.
While the main plot fell flat, the saving grace of the show came from the supporting cast. I actually really enjoyed:
The Detective
The Male Lead's Female Friend
Their scenes brought some much-needed energy to an otherwise dull watch.

If you want to watch a drama that is light and really enjoyable I totally recommend it.
I also have to mention that the styling of the female lead was AMAZING . From her hairstyle to the choice of shoes and bags , everything was so spot on and aesthetically pleasing .

bullshit
hello this is my first review of anything so please excuse my writing style but this is genuine ass the only good thing about this show is how they dress and the chemistry and romance between the main leads you'd have to turn off your brain big time to be able to enjoy thisI have two problems with this the female lead and her ex
let's start with her ex this mf is a creep a stalker and a bitch and Dali does basically nothing about it she just goes with his flow wallahi I was fuming when she got into his car just because ml was right around the corner and she didn't want ml to know that she's living upstairs like girl he was bound to find out eventually that's 1st of all second of all when her ex started acting like they're a couple again in the opening of exhibit and invited everybody she didn't care but honestly I can't blame her for that because desperate times call for desperate measures and she willingly got out of the car to go to the apartment they were going to live in when they got married just to fight with him in said apartment like why do that in the first place 😾, The breaking point for me was when her ex barged into the meeting room like he owned the place (ml does this but ml does infact work with FL on the gallery so no problem) that moment the moment where her ex barged into her meeting place with fl's coworkers inside discussing a meeting I dropped it I was like she's prolly gonna be like "ex oppa what are you doing here" and let him have his way because he's rich and helping the gallery idk what actually happened because I wasn't about to deal with the ex's bullshit and the pressure from her employees was real (we'll get to her employees later)
these are the dumbass interactions between fl and her ex let's go on to her ex behind the scenes
this mf found out where she moved to who she was living in and who's her landlord and she didn't say NOTHING when she saw him at her house or ask him did you stalk me or literally anything because she was TOO FOCUSED on ml finding out that she lives in his building that's the moment she got into his car and he keeps pushing onto her stuff she doesn't want because someone (fl's love rival when it comes to ml) fed into his delusions 🧘♀️
Ok onto second problem the fl herself she's kinda dumb and also a huge pushover ☺️
I think she has something against lights idk?? like when she went to stay at the gallery she didn't turn on the lights or when she literally saw the door open to the apartment her and her friend/ like a brother to her guy were living in she assumed like ok he must be home which valid I can't blame her but when she enters and sees the place trashed AND THE FUCKING LIGHTS ARE RIGHT BEHIND HER IN THE SCENE Y'ALL I WAS FUMING she doesn't turn on the lights and when the guy she's living with (police officer btw) calls her and tells her "hey I can't come home tonight gotta work overtime" guess what this pushover says instead of telling her police officer roomie "hey I think someone broke into our house" she's like "ok oppa ☺️" and hangs up because she doesn't wanna bother him LIKE BITCH WHAT IF YOU DIED AND IT BOTHERED ME SO MUCH THAT WHEN THIS DUMBASS INTRUDER LITERALLY SHOWED HER THE LIGHT COMING OUT OF THEIR FLASHLIGHT AND TURNED OFF INSTEAD OF IDK MAYBE TURNING AROUND AND RUNNING OUTSIDE SHE EMBRACES THE DANGER LIGHTS OFF SO SHE CAN'T SEE THE INTRUDER'S FACE TOO and I get like maybe they're trying to set the scene to make it creepy but all this did was outrage me she's also like really dense
now I know I said I had 2 problems but they're actually 3 because I remembered her fuckass employees so fl inherited the gallery from her Baba right the employees remained the same right these mfs except for maybe one old man THEY WERE RUDE ASF TO HER they were always talking about her back saying some shit like "can't she just get back with her super rich ex and ask for help" and she just stood there hearing everything they said about her and now they're supposed to be likeable like no??? I get that you have a family to feed but at least out of respect for how her father treated you couldn't you have been more patient about your paycheck and not criticise her when a false article came out claiming she slept with someone in a motel and was assaulted after and instead of being like (HER EMPLOYEES BTW SAYING THIS) "omg is she ok" you're like "omg how can she sleep with someone it's been less than a month since her father passed but btw who do you think she slept with" yeah her father just passed away so stop giving her such a hard fucking time and believe in her once, every single one of her employees villain or not pmo bad
those were all the things I didn't like about this drama now onto the things I liked
-illogical situations happened yet again but it was for the cliché romance between ml and fl the kind that I was craving for the blackout then the lights come on with them on top of eachother
-ml acknowledges his mistakes and fixes them
-insane chemistry between them
-fls relationship with her roomie
-ml's money hungry funny family dynamic
and more but honestly I just forgot
personally not for me but it might be for you, you just need to turn off your brain 24/7

this is kdrama
wow, i’m blown away. never knew outside of watching the commercial kdramas that such beautiful dramas existed. such a unique plot w beautiful casting all around, it didn’t feel rushed or prolonged at all, the timing was just beautiful. the fact that timeline blended in so well with character progression was so beautiful to me, definitely a must watch and i’ll be rewatching this soon. Was this review helpful to you?
Cute drama
Really cute and quirky romance. Both leads delivered their characters brilliantly. This drama is filled with the usual kdrama quirkiness, but everyone managed to make it very comfortable and authentic. I really enjoyed that the romance wasn't super dramatic. Kim Min Jae is way too adorable in this one, especially after the leads start dating!!Was this review helpful to you?
A very sweet love story
From the start I knew this drama was different, not only the aestetic, but the kinda of love it was about. I really like de first encounter they have, it was so cute how he was mesmerized by her, but at the same time, they were equals and he did not put her in a altar right away. The online thing I didn't like is how at the beginning, she doesn't seems so interested in him, has he is for her, and thats why the love story takes a little time to finally star. And also there are some cringe scenes, but I think it is because of the Korean humor.
I really hope they make more dramas that have art incorporated in them, or just making the protagonist seems more realistic by actually having hobbies and passion by something.
For me it was a good drama, it fell a little bit at the end, but it did feel complete.

Cute
This is a cute and very lighthearted drama with a great cast. I've been a fan of Kim Min Jae ever since Do You Like Brahms, and he really shows his range here. This show has a whimsical vibe with outstanding costume design, if that's your thing, and the performances are pretty great. The story is simple, a rich creditor falls for his debtor who's fallen on hard times, and the plot was entertaining enough to keep me engaged from one episode to the next. However I've noticed a few flaws, such as some jokes and scenes of attempted chemistry falling short, but overall it's one of the best shows airing right now and definitely worth watching a few episodes to see if it hooks you.Was this review helpful to you?
