Episode Title: Sulking
Wei Yan continues to sow discord between Xiao Qiao and Wei Shao to break the Wei-Qiao alliance to benefit Bianzhou. Wei Shao spends many nights away from home and no longer shares meals with Xiao Qiao. When Wei Shao came back to tell her good news about the canal, he was surprised that she wasn't happy about it. Instead, she said to thank his Advisor as if he didn't value her input but only his Advisor's. Then, came the news that a special guest from Bianzhou will be arriving for Lady Xu's birthday banquet. Lady Yulou was once betrothed to Wei Shao.

The Prisoner of Beauty Episode 13 Reactions
Still disappointed in this whole 'Wei Yan' arc because the ML & FL have apparently become stupid. Holding out hope that the writers will return them to form soon. Also disappointed that ML has not had any character growth - in particular healing of his severe emotional trauma - for quite a few episodes. That's a slow process and it will feel silly if it all happens at once late in the series.

Wei Shao is so proud of his wife! All those sweet comments, but the boy was spying on her letters. I was a bit disappointed. I felt he needed to apologize, In fact, he has never apologized.
Wei Yan is truly turning into quite the villain. Qiao Fan (I'm trying to figure out if she's a cousin or sister) is apparently a smart little lady! Reading between the lines and figuring out Qiao Man's message. Also, I love Qiao Fan's romance to her horse man!
I really hope Qiao Man gets wise about Sei Yan and makes him pay!

As I expected from Xiao Qiao, Wei Shao responded appropriately because he read her letters. Marriage is like this Wei Shao. Even Wei Shao and Xiao Qiao's arguments were so cute and funny. The only scene I got married to as Wei Yan was for now, with Wei Shao shaking his feet outside the blanket. As if our unlikable character wasn't enough, another new one came. You're not welcome at all E Huang

She has to take on all kinds of obstacles from her mother-in-law to potential concubines in hubby's bedroom. He is still pretty hostile but is totally outmaneuvered by her smarts.

Wei Shao, as usual, is a very thorough master landowner. He keeps eyes on all accounts and tries to keep ahead of calamities for the general populace. He is still hiding from Qiao Man after Yan tells her Wei Shao read her letters home to him. She is rightfully angry but both of them need to be more open about state vs personal matters. They continue to work better as a pair but there is plenty of bad blood between their families. Now that the canal will be extended to Rongjun, they see the new couple as an even bigger threat. Yan is handed a dagger to kill Wei Shao so he can be heir. He is considered a bastard so that is why he is allowed to live such a reckless life. He makes it clear he doesn’t care what happens to Qiao Man…to include death, but he draws the line at killing family. At least he has one. Qiao family is skeptical about wheat seeds. They see it as feeding enemy troops in future. This is what got them in trouble 14 years ago.The empress is fixing it so that she will arrive alone and like Yan is a favorite of gma. How is it that she is most attracted to vipers of the worst sort. That building collapse actually had her smiling. She is a piece of work willing to leave a trail of dead if they get in her way. This party bodes ill for everybody.😝
