Episode Title: Find the Culprit
Wei Shao is stuck between damning his wife or his beloved cousin, Wei Yan. With Xiao Qiao's encouragement, he decides to go forward with the investigation, which clears his wife. The Clan elders demand an explanation, while Lady Yulou and her cousin tie up loose ends. Lady Xu imparts a secret to Wei Shao about Yan's parentage and how the Wei-Bianzhou rift began. Someone takes the fall for the seed debacle, thereby closing the investigations and opening the gates of Yunju.

Much, much better episode than recent ones, with the leads returning to acting like the brilliant characters they were in the first 10 episodes.

I knew Wei Shao would handle this properly. I was so happy to see the closeness between Wei Shao and Xiao Qiao 😻😭😭😭 I felt bad for Wei Yan in this episode but I hope he doesn't continue to be a villain

Qiao Man was very cute using the letters home to send secret messages.🥰 This was a good way to communicate freely and support each other. I am surprised the mom spoke up about the grain. She was duped by empress but even the gma knew that. Crush girl did not deserve to die, but it was rather heartless that she was going to help a village starve by giving them cooked seed. It really was a case of jealous women rather than politics but it sure caused a lot of damage. And we did not get to see gma’s reaction to bracelet. For all the crap he did do, I am glad Yan is innocent. He will have to decide how to proceed but he does have some options. I hope he will figure out friend from foe and that he will make better use of himself now. Empress and that murdering boy of hers are kinda scary in their complete lack of remorse for the deaths they cause. They are like a plague or cancer that needs removed for the betterment of the world. For all his hedonistic ways, Yan is not as evil as these two. He truly hurts himself the most and in his misguided way was really trying to look out for his family. I did not expect to feel sympathy for him, but I find that I actually do. I wish he could go dry out and find a way to live through his art.

ML's cousin is in the worst position in Wei family as bad as FL. So FL totally understand how this cousin felt after he found out how he was born. Thx to FL, she was able to have heart to heart talk with this cousin and he knows now he really belongs to Wei family. What a beautiful episode.
