The Prisoner of Beauty Episode 7 Reactions
This episode puts Lady Wei's brilliance on full display. She deftly maneuvers relationships with both Wei Shao's Grandmother and Mother to resolve problems and finally, when violently accused by Wei Shao of something she didn't do, demonstrates in dramatic, caclulating fashion why she is innocent. Wei Shao once again succumbs to his long-ingrained hate to impulsively react in the worst way. But he is unable to deny her reasoning and it forces him to examine his some of the memories from his childhood trauma which fuel the hate which keeps clouding his judgement. He acknowledges her innocence and moves finally to the correct next question.

This was the first time that I really hated Wei Shao. I'm so proud of Manman. She might not be able to physically defend herself against violence but you best believe she won't take any abuse without speaking up for herself.

And if Manman is on her good side it did be good for her. Qiao Man uses this transcription work as an excuse not to make soup for her mother-in-law, Lady Zhu, who already hated her. How can she not know anything bout her own son? It looks like she does not care for her son. Wei Shao is asked to have dinner with his mother, and he is asked to take his cousin, Chu Yu, as a concubine. I hate anything related to concubines.

The drama modifies some of the plot points from the novel as this leads to an attempt on his grandmother's life there. Knowing that she is vitally important to Wei Shao and one of the few people (women) he has ever trusted, this would have really damaged him. But here, they give him a chance to work out another part of his future with XQ.

No, this episode was jinxed. They were continuing perfectly in the previous episode 😭😭😭😭 I had a feeling that there would be someone who would upset these two in this episode... I was happy that Xiao Qiao got help from Wei Shao's grandmother. Wei Shao had already shown Zheng Chu Yu his place by kicking her out of the study without asking for a concubine. Wei Shao's mother hasn't been able to know Wei Shao's shoe size properly for all these years, but Xiao Qiao, his wife, has prepared a shoe that fits Wei Shao's foot size in a few days 😻 I was very upset and angry in the scene where Wei Shao strangled Xiao Qiao. I think Zheng Chu Yu was the one who drew the line on the box, or his mother's assistants might have done it on his mother's instructions. I was proud in the scene where smart Xiao Qiao silenced Wei Shao. I hope that after this answer, Wei Shao will trust Xiao Qiao and their relationship will be back to how it was before. Bi Zhi and Fan were so cute. I couldn't help but be surprised by Bi Zhi's strong strength while watching it again

Qiao Man has been treated pretty poorly by everybody but Gma. She treats her kindly but isn’t exactly friendly either. She was at least in her corner over the concubine issue. Mom was determined to get her way and WeiShao was a bit disappointing. He wanted to please his mom and have his cake and eat it too. He never punished her or kicked her out for letting Qiao Man stay cooped up in the rain for three days so she is a guilty pleasure for him. He turned her down with the soup, so maybe that is changing. But he still has not removed her from house. And, if he is truly a husband, the apron strings with mom gets cut. So here is where they will get frayed a bit if he gets rid of crush girl. BiZhi is taking care of big sis well. He is working hard and being helpful. His strength let him beat up some bullies that were trying to force old and young men to fight in their army. This came to a head when their leader challenged him. Here his athleticism and horse knowledge won the day, but they are coming back with a bigger force. He was doing his best to keep things away from Panyi but now needs some help. The Qiaos once again don’t want to offend so they will take Fan out of the situation but not assist. Here is where they should have sent a message to QiaoMan to help. Of course her sis should have done that first. The men in her family are not renown for their bravery in battle.😝 Somebody got into Wei Shao’s forbidden box and framed Qiao Man for it. He overreacted and truly hurt her. This is where she needed a bodyguard to knock him on his ass to get some sense into him. I loved how she proved her innocence to him and basically told him to shove it while at the same time totally respecting his privacy and possessions. I am also glad it was with witnesses present. It got him thinking about how it happened. Crush girl is most likely. She needs to be moved several towns away. They should marry her off and get an ocean between her and the Wei family.😝I am hoping they don’t kill off BiZhi. He’s a really good guy. The only Qiao male with a spine is the little brother. The rest of them are kinda worthless.

This lady will not back down. great acting by the leads, there is a strength of character which she will need if she is to survive. You see there is little to no trust between them. The acting by the leads takes your breath away. They are that good.

Love that the FL lost control told the ML a piece of her mind. His staff thought the whole scene was funny. So do I.
