Bai Lu & Leo Yunxi have great visuals and chemistry. Bai Lu has great comedic timing. Both Bai Lu & Leo are excellent at portraying their characters. These two do angst very well. This is their second collaboration together. They both have tactical understanding between them. Their kissing scenes are hot. The supporting cast have their own love stories. The costumes and OST are very nice. The CGI is well done. This is a must watch if you like Xianxia.

A drama that will never leave your mind.

I thought I knew what I was signing up for when I first started this drama. I had never been so wrong.

I had heard countless of reviews and recommendations for this drama and since I was having a hard time moving on from LGIEF, I had decided to give this one a shot after having put this off for so long since I heard about the ending. I thought I had prepared myself mentally enough to face the ending when I reached it but I still cried like a baby when I got there.

The story itself is something I had never seen before and it leaves a lot of hints at the beginning of the drama that you would never understand until you reach the ending and realize just how everything was so well planned and thought out. The two main leads are also so breathtaking in terms of visuals and also acting. Luo Yunxi played Tantai Jin so well and it had my heart physically ache for him while Bai Lu was so ethereal as Ye Xiwu that although I know I should be a little mad at her for always misunderstanding Tantai Jin, I just can’t blame her at all.

I did find the Dream Arc to be quite stretched out and I feel like it could’ve been 3-4 episodes instead and it almost made me lose interest and drop the drama. Thankfully I decided to push through with it and I’m truly glad I did because in the end, I ended up really caring for both Ming Ye and Sangjiu and really rooting for them. Still could’ve been shorter though which is why I deducted a point in the story rating. As for rewatch value, although I did love the drama , I don’t think I can put myself through that pain again HAHAHA but who knows maybe in the future I might just because I love them both.

The OSTS are also beautifully made and really fit the drama and scenes in which it were used. It really elevated the drama to another level and it is still saved in my playlist. Kudos to Luo Yunxi and Bailu! They were amazing and the VFX effects were also spot on. I had finished the drama during January of 2025 and I still haven’t moved on from them even though months have already passed.

JUST WATCH IT!!

First of all, I don't ever watch these costume dramas. I just put it on because I couldn't find anything to watch, and I let it play in the background while I did my homework. This is one of the best shows I have ever watched, and I have watched a lot of Cdrams and Kdramas. This is giving a mix of little "Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Alchemy of Souls" and much more. This one will change your mind even if you say you don't watch costume dramas. You know a show is good when you finish watching it, you look up the actors and try to learn about them, watching TikTok edits.

The story is not as good as the cast and their acting

1- these dramas need to cut short to 30 or less because there's always alot of unnecessary scenes and side characters, i like the less the better or they should be likable
2- the couple is so good that I decided to watch this even when I don't watch this genre
3- story is just ridiculous
4-when y'all writing so much suffering in ml life why don't give them a good or happy ending?
5-many cdrama are not satisfying as others ,the author really doesn't know what audience likes
6- too much blood spitting way too much even more than anime it reminded me of anime but even in that it is less it ends atleast this one happens so many times and it's hard to watch and even they say main dailogues with blood on face 😭how to watch that
this drama portrayed negative emotions well it has more sad vibe than happy
i decided to give this 10 after watching their BTS , it reminded me it has alot of good parts , not just bad ,it has both of them and I focused on the bad more since I'm always watching kdrama or other they have happy ending so I was disappointed by this ,i like that even if it has bad parts it actually has alot of good scenes, good romance, and less side characters story focus more on mc , and I really like the 2nd couple part they play where FML is sang jui their story was perfect there sad it was just a dream 😭 outside dream story is good too but just with 0 development of characters ,till the end the misunderstanding ...
10 for actors but 1 for the story writing,so much poorly written, i have never seen this kind of ending in fantasy story, the devil wasn't the devil but others were more devil including the female lead , the plot is so much repetitive, romance is like salt sprinkled, there more action, war, bullying, dying, than the actual romance, also they argued and hated eachother more than loving eachother this is shown more, the amount of time they die and still survive?and FML never trust ml until the very last chp only in mid last 10 she did,i only watched because I liked the actors if I was reading MANWHA which has plot like this i dropped long in the start, every character dies literally the mc dies 3-4 +times ,if he turned normal why he becomes devil again ? that doesn't make sense if he was fated to be devil then why the time travel and change him for what the past repeats ,only she survive rest die ? and he dies is what changes ,poor guy even changing he couldn't live , i though of dropping so many times because it was repetitive i thought atleast ending would be good the story is mainly of 20 eps the other 20 is same thing repeated, this could've been better if the misunderstanding was less , you can't drag misunderstanding literally till the end ?, i actually like the the story but alot part was badly written and was repetitive and could've given them a happy ending i don't even understand what happened at end , the story is really touching,it got me teary many many times because they fight so many times and always sacrificing for eachother so many times also they die many times ,it is normal only 10% for a while then they start fight, argue ,hate ,this is 90% story , I wish the romance was more and better it okay to start with love hate but it should end ? already not to drag till end
my favourite couple, i liked their other drama so watched this only to see this kind of ending? this is hard to re-watch i would definitely re-watch their other drama, The amount of times I have changed the rating of this I also feel both love and hate like the drama for this , the romance was good, goes good but suddenly the opposite? suddenly they're hating and dying, and ending is also shit , I had expectations from this but the story is ridiculous

best xianxia drama of 2023

honestly watched it because im a diehard fan of bailu! her acting here was great, as well as the ml! their chemistry is really amazing, same as when they acted together as the main leads in "love is sweet". this xianxia drama was overall quite touching, how the fl was actually seeking revenge on the ml yet the ml falls for her and their relationship deepens. their wedding scene was literally my fav part of the show and the saddest i think? i'll try not to spoil it im sorry lol. i honestly wouldn't want to rewatch it since the drama is quite long like 40 eps long, took me a week to finish. i would def recommend this for those who watched "love between fairy and demon" since idk why i find these 2 dramas pretty alike.

one of the best fantasy dramas to have ever been produced

Once you start watching it you won't be able to stop , The amount of scope it has is unrivaled by any other drama like It has everything : heartbreak, angst , romance ,betrayal , unpredictable story line , the CGI and the visual effects are top notch , the screenplay and the cinematography is of high quality , it has incredibly high production values with excellent costumes and set design and the Osts are pretty satisfying to hear .
there's a strong cast of actors who put on tremendously great performances .you'll hate some characters to the point you want them to die and you'll love some characters so much that you wish they should live forever but they'll die suddenly , the chemistry between all couples is insane.
I highly recommend it , it’s one of the best fantasy dramas to have ever been produced .

I never liked a drama like this except for view

I was only curious about thos drama cause it was so popular back then. And i watched it on-going. Believe me i rewatch this for like, five - six times already. Bcs of thia drama, i become a fan of Luo Yunxi. Big applause for him and his acting. The effects and cinematography are top notch. I love the world building & the relationship between characters. One thing that let me down was, i hope ye xiwu / li susu would trust Tantai Jin more so the unnecessary misunderstanding wouldn't be there. I rarely watch cdrama. Rarely finish one till the end episode without skipping. This is one of the cdrama that i finished watching without any skip, along with Reset, Go Ahead, and Hidden Love.

Not that Good

Story: This is a Cdrama full of misunderstandings. And they never bother to tell or explain at all. There are some confusing parts. Probably due to the cuts and lack of explanation.

In Episode 9, I wonder where they get mortar and pestle all of a sudden in a forest just like in other Cdramas...

There's just something bothering me here. In Enlightened life, Goddess Tian Huan is the daughter of Tian Hao. How can she be the sister of Siying as well? Although they used a different actress, that in itself is kind of contradicting with the whole story. Cause Siying hated Tian Hao. Ep. 36 48:40. Did she become the elder sister already after going through the Sun Quadripod? Shouldn't both of them be in the demon's lair then? I'm confused.

I wonder why Susu didn't clarify how both her fathers died. And who really took the evil bone in the first place.

Oh yeah there are so many blood spitting on this that you see them in almost every episode.

Acting: The actors are good. They deliver well but not that perfect.

This is the first time I saw the actor LXY. For me he's not that handsome especially when I first saw him here. He can play the devil and a good guy. It's just his voice sometimes becomes too mellow even if it needed to be strong.

Bai Lu - I first saw her in the Untouchable Lovers and The Legends. And she was really great in them that I became a fan and started looking for her other shows. She really looks good in red and black. Though here, her screams of angst and hurt are just the same as then. I mean it's nothing out of extraordinary. So I guess I've seen them already. Though, I've also watched Arsenal Military Academy which she was also good there. Story of Kunning Palace is also one of her good works. Although in Song of Youth, she looks older than her fellow actor so I didn't watch that.

The actor who played Ye QingYu is cute and handsome. Other actors: Ye BingChang is really quite the antagonist. You'll hate her and pity her too. They used quite good looking actors and actresses. Good casting.

Regarding OST, I only remember 1 good song - Only You by Shuang Sheng. Love Between Fairy and Devil has better songs than this. Though it's story has boring parts too. At least that has a better ending though.

My View of the Moon

Story: Story plot is quite all over the place. I really had a hard time correlating one character to another. Lots of drag moments that I had to use my forward button all the time. I was quite looking forward on the romance. I've been a fan of the leads chemistry from Love is Sweet. Unfortunately, I didn't felt the same chemistry that they had back then. The kissing scenes were just okay. Not at their best I should say. I guess, there were some elements missing in the story that I'm looking for that I felt lacking. One is the character development from some of the cast. Like, their characters just died having no remorse or regret. Second, some infusion of humor. This drama could've been better if they have just infused some humor on some scenes. Third, the romance department is definitely lacking. Very minimal epsiodes of having the leads having their sweet moments together. Neither the secondary couple has limited romantic moments as well. Lastly. too many fillers used. Like this could have been better off with 24 eps. The flashbacks have to be played several times for you to be able to follow the messed storyline.

Acting/ Cast: Surely, another superb acting by Leo Yunxi. But, I must say this was his least character that I may like. He's way better in Love is Sweet and Princess Silver. As for Bai Lu, I just find her acting just the same in every character she portrays. I was able to watch her already in quite a few of her dramas. I think her forte is really romcoms. For the rest of the cast, awesome acting. Chen Du Ling nailed her bitchy character. And yes, a Xianxia won't be complete without bloodspitting which I think was overly used in this drama.

Music: I didn't caught up much with the sound track as I skip credits both beginning and end. But, one thing's for sure, the opening track is too ordinary that It didn't stick to my mind. When I usually watch a drama that has good music in it, it's either I get to hum or sing along with it.

Rewactch Value: Definitely a no for me. Unless, you're a big fan of the leads, you're free to do so. The story is just not enticing for me to make it watch again.

Overall: I love watching Xianxia dramas with good storyline and romance. But, this ain't it for me. When I first saw this drama, It immediately reminded me of Love Between Fairy and Devil. Almost same concept but the storyline of LBFAD is way better than this one. I can only give this a 7.5. Generous enough for the good acting of the cast, but the storyline for me is just a total mess.

A Tale That Transcends Time

An immortal named Li Su Su is fated to travel 500 years into the past to prevent the death of a captive prince named Tantai Jin and stop his transformation into the Devil God who would devastate four continents and three realms. However, as she witnesses Tantai Jin’s former life and ascent to power, an unforeseen story unfolds, complicating her mission. Till the End of the Moon is a tragic tale of love, responsibilities, misunderstandings, and separation that transcends time.

This is one of the few Xianxia dramas that was able to keep me hooked and that I finished in one sitting. Despite my initial skepticism, I finally understand the reason for its fame. While the premise isn’t especially original—drawing on the familiar enemies-to-lovers trope—the writing contains many strong elements. Notably, everything introduced in the narrative, from locations and artifacts to objects and characters, serves a clear purpose and reappears throughout the story. This was particularly satisfying, as many dramas introduce magical items that are used briefly and then forgotten. Here, each object has multiple functions, and their origins are thoughtfully explained, which is a major strength of the story.

Till the End of the Moon is one bittersweet drama. The main couple faces countless trials, both together and individually, and the way they navigate these challenges is incredibly moving. Be prepared—this story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, making you laugh, cry, and feel every emotion in between. I was completely invested in the characters and their journeys from start to finish, which is a testament to how beautifully the story was crafted and brought to life in the drama. It’s a powerful, unforgettable experience.

I do think the ending could have been improved. Even as someone who loves happy endings, I don’t exactly mind it, since it’s open to interpretation. That said, I wish there had been more clarity about the conclusion—whether it was meant to be happy or sad—rather than leaving it so ambiguous. I have to admit, I went into this drama expecting a tragic finale based on public reactions, and that feeling grew as the story progressed, despite my hopeful desire for a miraculous happy ending.

I believe that the success of this drama is largely due to the two main leads, Bai Lu and Luo Yun Xi. Both actors had to portray multiple characters throughout the drama, and each one was unique and memorable. They brought distinct personalities to every role, making each character stand out on their own. With all the emotions this story throws at you, they had to deliver powerhouse performances—and they absolutely nailed it! At this point, I honestly can’t imagine anyone else embodying these characters.

Another aspect I really enjoyed about this drama was the costumes, sets, and soundtrack. The costume design and makeup were stunning—never over the top, and perfectly suited to highlight each character’s unique personality. With the story spanning multiple settings, the sets were thoughtfully designed to bring each time and place to life. And the OSTs? Absolutely perfect for capturing the mood of every scene.

Of course, the drama isn’t without its flaws. Being a Xianxia series, it naturally relies on CGI, and at times I found it a bit overwhelming—so many effects happening at once that it became hard to keep track, almost like sensory overload. Still, this didn’t really detract from my overall enjoyment of the story.

Overall, Till the End of the Moon is a beautifully crafted Xianxia drama that excels in storytelling, character development, and emotional impact. While it has minor flaws, such as occasional overwhelming CGI and an open-ended finale, these do little to diminish the overall experience. With compelling performances from Bai Lu and Luo Yun Xi, stunning visuals, and a memorable soundtrack, the drama delivers a rollercoaster of emotions that will stay with viewers long after it ends. For anyone looking for a heartfelt, epic tale of love, sacrifice, and destiny, this drama is unforgettable.

Loved this so much. My favorite drama, have watched 3 times already. I wished the ending was happier. But i have read the translated he from the book so i got my happy ending. Wish they would make a sequel and put that ending in. I love pretty much anything Luo Yunxi is in. But this by far is the best.
