Your cute typical drama
My review will be brief! This story is cute, well written, dialogues are fluid, there is a good cast, the actors play well, there is good chemistry between main & second lead couples! All the ingredients of your typical kdrama are reunited in this scenario! There aren’t twists and the plot isn’t complicated! And it works! It’s a hit in South Korea. It was released on Netflix at the same time than other kdramas that might be better! This a drama to watch and enjoy, but nothing new to expect! Was this review helpful to you?
Would like 2nd season of Business Proposal
I thought this kdrama was going to be set in a business from title so pleasant surprise.Very funny, too short. Would like 2nd season.
I also was not impressed by story line showing sex while female 2nd lead drunk. Good that it featured but I feel this sanctioned it.
All actors very good. Call out to all the actors who only had small parts. They are vitally necessary but perhaps don't get big pay? I love to see men without wigs.
All in all, very good, would recommend 95%.

Unexpected
I really love this Kdrama. There was not even a single episode that I don't laugh and smile. The comedy is really good with a tons of romance thingy. The backstory of the main character is not being focused on that much, which I really like because it does make this Kdrama not cliche and same as other Kdrama as they always focus on the trauma thingy on that main character. The main couple and side couple is really outstanding! They carry their role perfectly and I can see the strong chemistry between them tho.
In conclusion, this is a really good Kdrama. It is light and fun to watch. The romance and comedy is sooo balanced that you will love it.

Joy Without Apology
There’s a kind of magic in a drama that knows exactly what it is, doesn’t pretend to be more, and still ends up delivering more than expected. Business Proposal wasn’t subtle, and it didn’t need to be. It knew the tropes, loved them loudly, and let them play out with a confidence that felt like being invited into something gleefully unserious — and completely sincere. What pulled me in wasn’t just the setup — though fake dating, mistaken identity, and boardroom tension are catnip when done right. It was the tone. This wasn’t a drama winking at the audience, trying to be too clever for its genre. It trusted the rom-com blueprint, not to subvert it, but to celebrate it. And that sincerity? That’s what made it feel so good.
Kim Se-jeong was at the heart of that. She didn’t just carry the comedy — she lit it up. Her timing, her expressions, the way she gave her character both chaos and control… it was magnetic. And never one-note. Even at her most ridiculous, there was depth flickering beneath the surface. Ahn Hyo-seop played beautifully against that energy — polished and composed, but never cold. Just enough vulnerability tucked under the bravado to keep it all from tipping into caricature.
Every scene between them felt like a perfect rom-com beat: heightened, exaggerated, but always with a hint of truth that made it work. Their chemistry didn’t just sizzle — it sparkled. Like watching two people discover they’re in on the same joke, and the joke is somehow love.
There were no high-stakes emotional breakdowns. No gut-wrenching reveals. And that was the point. Business Proposal gave me permission to just enjoy. To laugh, to root for something light, to let my guard down and be swept up in a story that didn’t ask for emotional labor, only attention — and joy.
The colors were bright, the pacing was tight, and the whole thing moved like it had somewhere fun to be. And for once, I didn’t want to slow it down. It was sweet, a little chaotic, maybe even a bit too clean around the edges — but in the middle of all that gloss, it made me feel good. Not changed, not challenged — just happy.
Sometimes that’s everything.

She goes on a few blind dates, but who would have expected to meet the main character? Although not exactly with her for the first time, which added to the originality, because I haven't come across any series that has this in the plot yet, so I'm giving it another +! Of course, I don't even have to say anything and it's clear to everyone who the main character ends up with, which is why I also really like how realistically they portrayed it. I mean, an ordinary employee and her employer. You can usually find this in series, movies or books without any problem. Why couldn't the two of them be together? But here it is clearly shown what awaits them, what they will have to go through and what our main character will have to endure. In order not to drag it out any longer, I will
I recommend the series to all romance lovers who
at the same time they want to laugh because it's really amazing.

Hands. Down. The best kdrama ever. I normally binge watch everything on 2x speed as a new avid watcher who only recently signed up to kisskh, when I started watching this? My mind was blown. I reverted it back to normal speed, not wanting it to end so fast. The 12 episodes were not enough to satisfy my need. It was literally AMAZING. I didn't know how a kdrama could hook into me until this one came along. Ahn Hyo-Seop and Kim Se-jeong served in every way. The acting in the beginning, the archaeopteryx lore, you could see that Shin Ha-Ri and Kang Tae-Moo belonged together. From the very first blind date where Ha-ri went in place of Jin Yeong-seo, you could feel the chemistry between the two. The whole hiding her identity as an employee, then hiding him from her parents brought a whole new level of comedy. The acting and expressions were on point. Se-jeong and Hyo-Seop nailed their roles 100%. The drama made even the secondary couple Jin Yeong-seo (Seol In-ah) and Cha Seong-hoon (Kim Min-Kyu) look like they belonged together for life. For anyone who hasn't watched it yet, I'm jealous that I cannot experience the feeling of watching it for the first time again. So whoever reads this, GO WATCH IT NOW. It is 1000% a must watch. I would rate it 11/10 if it was allowed. Samantha and Rachel are waiting for you. Was this review helpful to you?

Mi Kdrama favorito, lo amé! ♡︎
Recomiendo mucho!me.

Funny, cute, happy, feel good
This drama has many tropes, cliches, stolen scenes from other dramas etc.But the net effect is that it works.
The chemistry is sizzling for both couples and that I guess is the x factor in this romcom which had given it such a high rating.
The FL is just so charming with that wonderful smile. Haven't seen such expressive eyes and smile since Park Min Young.
She carries most of the drama with her comic timing as well.
Again - there is nothing new happening here - yet it's a wonderful drama to watch.

My first KDrama and it's still one of the best
Business Proposal was the first Kdrama I watched and I'm really glad it was my first. It set the tone and my expectations for all dramas moving forward.Things I loved:
The chemistry between the ML and FL
The script / dialogue
The humor (I laughed out loud often)
The direction
The second romance story
Things I didn't love:
The mother character was over the top and got on my nerves; I ended up fast-forwarding many of the scenes she was in
The kisses between ML and FL didn't feel realistic EXCEPT for in one scene (you'll know it when you see it). Otherwise, they lacked passion / felt very, very neutered. But ultimately (now, all these months and Kdramas later) I'm glad I saw Business Proposal first and my (low) expectations were set for kisses / physical affection in Kdramas. It's been a nice surprise whenever a Kdrama has a realistic / passionate kiss scene because I always expect them to be neutered and lackluster.
On that note, if you're looking for Kdramas with realistic romance (i.e. passionate kisses) here's my list so far:
The Red Sleeve (or any romance with Lee Se Young, she's incredible; also, this romance is SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD)
Healer (or any romance with Ji Chang Wook)
Goblin (or any romance with Gong Yoo, esp Coffee Prince)
What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (or almost any romance with either Park Min Young OR Park Seo Joon)

My first K-drama
All I can say that after this drama I was hooked to k-dramas!. I thought it was wonderful and well worth watching over and over. All the characters in this drama are lovable. The two leads are perfect, and have great chemistry. Thank you Director Park Seon Ho ! you did very well, and also to those who made this lovable drama. If you are looking for comedy, and romance this drama has it. Well worth the watch again and again. Was this review helpful to you?

Netflix did it gooooood!
The series was anticipated by many, including myself. I only saw Hyo-seop Ahn once in Abyss and I really liked it, so Business Proposal had to be on my screen the moment it came on Netflix! Rarely do you get dramas where both the primary and secondary couple have such interesting stories and you wish the episodes were stretched to the max to see more sweet moments between them. I don't know which couple I adore more! 😍😍The story of Abyss was way more unique and imprinted itself stronger in my memory. Despite that, Business Proposal is a very enjoyable romantic drama. They use every possible clichés and stereotypical elements of the genre but it sells. Oooh it sells! Drama has ended sometime ago and people are still raving about it 😅
Moving on to female lead. Shin Ha Ri is not a boring scientist who devotes herself to her work. She becomes recognizable thanks to her achievements, which makes it easier to believe that in a large corporation she has a chance to stand face to face with the president 💖
Secondary love story .... Cha Sung Hoon and Jin Young Seo were so so so so soooo great together! I was dying for their love and I wished they had more screentime. It's been a long time (if ever) since I was so drawn to the love story of secondary characters in the series. They were so sweet and crazy that I was getting pure pleasure from watching them approach each other 😍
