Kim Tae Ri as Na Hee Do

I have not been exposed to this side of Kim Tae Ri's acting. I especially stayed away from this show because I thought Kime Tae Ti would have a role which was consistent of her past role. Calm, thoughtful, Pleasant and somewhat dormant. Mr. Sunshine, Forest comes to my mind. I liked both the shows. Man O Man was I wrong! Her role and her acting completely different from the other two. I was pleasantly surprised. What a performance! I would say Career Best. I loved each and every scene she was in. I wish i could just make a compilation of just her scenes and rewatch it.


Bona as Go Yu Rim:

I am not familiar with this actress, this is the first I have watched her performance. She was fantastic. Very Talented. She fit the role perfectly. Loved the way she acted throughout the show.


Choi Hyun Wook as Moon Ji Woong

He was great. Very Funny guy. Every Scene he was on was top notch.


Lee Joo Myung as Ji Seung Wan

She was fantastic, I wanted more screen time for her. Whenever she was on screen, things are always interesting. Every scene she was on was rewatchable. I enjoyed her performance very much.

Nam Joo Hyuk as Baek Yi Jin

I liked his name in this show, other than that nothing to write about. Same old same old ML.
His role was insignificant to the story. It looked like this role was forced in to this story.
His performance was just ok. Others regardless of the strength of their role, i felt they brought something to the table. Unfortunately in my opinion he did not. Which was sad. The show would have been much better without this role. Addition by Subtraction. ...Yi Jin role could have been a support role instead of ML.

Story and Screen Play: The story was good. In my opinion, it should have been just about the 4 characters, Kim Tae Ri as Na Hee Do, Lee Joo Myung as Ji Seung Wan, Bona as Go Yu Rim and Choi Hyun Wook as Moon Ji Woong. Although Nam Joo Hyuk as Baek Yi Jin was ok, but his role did not fit. It seemed forced. The story could have been more fun without this character. The show could have spent more time with the other 4 main characters. They were really missed in some parts of the show.

Romantic Story between Hee Do and Yi Jin was again forced, they did not have chemistry at all. The entertainment value of the scenes was lower whenever Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk was on the screen simultaneously. Usually it is other way around whenever the FL and ML is in the screen the value goes up. Choi Hyun Wook as Moon Ji Woong and Bona as Go Yu Rim romance was much more believable and entertaining. Even though they had their own ups and downs, it seemed real and watchable. Whenever they were together in a scene, you did not feel like you need skip those scenes.

Fencing, this part of the story was well written and well presented. It is not easy to direct a sports movie. I am not sure how much research and effort went in to tell this story. It looks like the director and the cast did their home work. Whether they used double or not, every scene looked real and entertaining. Kim Tae Ri and Bona might have gone through some real tough training to be casted in this role.

Friendship: Kim Tae Ri as Na Hee Do, Lee Joo Myung as Ji Seung Wan, Bona as Go Yu Rim and Choi Hyun Wook as Moon Ji Woong Friendship story was well presented to the audience. Their chemistry was awesome. It was very nostalgic whenever they got together and talked about their past experiences.

Overall a very good show. I would just watch this again just for Kim Tae Ri and Lee Joo Myung.

It reminded me of Reply 1988 and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo because of the nostalgic and sporty aspects. The visual aesthetics and ost were amazing.Its easily one of the best Kdramas of 2022.(Spoiler alert)Now for the ending alot of people are not satisfied with it but I personally liked it.It was bittersweet.We usually don't see such endings in Kdramas but the writers were very brave to choose it.It did not change my love for this series.I would have liked if they ended up together but it conveyed the message that sometimes things just don't workout and its no one's fault.That is what life is.It is not always going to be rainbows and sunshine.

The best romantic sports k-drama ever!

Where should I start? Do I love k-dramas? It's a big YES! Why? I watched some, but didn't got hooked. Then, two of them changed dramatically my watching spectrum: Twenty Five Twenty One (that I watched because I loved Nam Joo-Hyuk in Start-Up) and Fated to Love You, with Jang Na-Ra. After these two, it wasn't easy to get back to my regular watching habits. No, sir!! I loved Twenty Five Twenty One to bits, and reading that Na Hee-Do's journal is the real Kim Tae-Ri's journal during her 6 months training in fencing, made me love the actress more. After that, I have read that she trained 1 year on Tae Kwon-Do for the Alienoid role, and 3 years(!!!) on pansori for Jeong Nyeon - A Star Is Born. Oh well, if Kim Tae-Ri does not deserve prizes for her amazing efforts, I don't know who does!

Bad storyline

I am currently on episode 4 and I thought that Min Chae is Yi Jin's daughter. As I was curious, I searched for the cast to know about it. But found out she is not his daughter as they do not share the same Surname. And what's more annoying is that Hee Do's husband is not revealed. There is no relation between the present storyline with Older Hee Do and her daughter and the past. This could have just been a random girl finding the diary and reading the story of her seniors at high school instead of bringing a daughter and older Hee Do. Total waste of time and as from episode 4, I see that the story is going nowhere. It's time to drop it

Such a nice feeling watching this drama

I find myself absolutely loving dramas which show the slow and steady success of people who want to achieve their dreams, i.e. Start Up, Itaewon Class etc. This drama does exactly that in the most heartfelt, but also heart-jerking way. Definitely would rewatch and gonna miss it when its off air. Love this drama so so much and all actors. I personally wouldn’t say it started off slow, I think every element of the drama is perfect. I find my self analyzing shows nowadays for redundancy or elements that were completely unnecessary but I believe, so far, this drama is executed well. I’m not sure what to expect in the coming episodes ~

Eu fui feliz enquanto estava com vocês. Mesmo que nada dure para sempre, mas isso aqui vai.

Eu não achei que twenty five twenty one iria se tornar tão importante pra mim? No começo que eu disse que amei, achei que seria mais um drama que iria me fazer feliz, eu ia amar e pronto. Mas ele tomou proporções inexplicáveis. Eu me apaixonei por tudo (calma que eu voltei a chorar de novo e não tô enxergando nada). Eu me apaixonei pelo joo hyuk e queria que o baek yi Jin fosse meu primeiro amor e acabei escolhendo ele pra ser no meu coração. A hee do me fazia ter fé e otimismo, me fazia querer ser feliz e aproveitar os momentos. A Yu rim me fez querer ir atrás dos sonhos e ajudar minha família e suportar o que vinher. O ji woong me fez enxergar com a visão da juventude e como se tudo fosse fácil de lidar (espero que mesmo aos 29 como ele estava eu continue enxergando assim). A seung Wan me fez me ver nela, o quão é difícil ter que lidar com tudo e ainda assim ter tantas responsabilidades depois. Ela não gostava e enfrentava mesmo assim, uma personagem que amei. E uma das coisas mais linda é a química, amor e o brilho nos olhos da hee do e baek yi Jin. E vai ficar pra sempre guardado na minha memória.
Tem um momento na vida da gente que vai ser 100% perfeito e depois tudo vai desmoronar e a gente não vai saber como lidar, com o que vai ficar e o que vai embora. Eu fui muito feliz durante um tempo e pra mim hoje em dia não sou mais, acho que o tempo de crescer e saber que nada dura pra sempre chegou muito cedo, a 4 anos atrás. E hoje com meus quase 20 eu não consigo aceitar isso sabe? Eu quero continuar jovem e com a energia que eu sempre tive. Mas eu tanto me recuso que provavelmente eu não consigo me sentir feliz de novo.
Twenty five twenty one eu fui tão feliz com vocês por esse período. Eu ria, me emocionava e aprendi tanto! Obrigada por tudo. Obrigada por me fazer amarem vocês.

Eu não tenho nenhum defeito para falar do drama (talvez), a história, todo o enredo, os personagens, a OST, a cenografia, tudo que aconteceu naquela mesma época. Foi tudo tão impecável e lindo, a maneira como eles cresceram e se tornaram essas pessoas maravilhosas. A maneira que vimos a história na medida que a min chae filha da hee do também via era tão lindo, pra ela entender que desistir de uma coisa que gostava sabe? Que poderia continuar persistindo e quantas lições isso iria trazer pra ela. A atriz arrasou, foi maravilhosa. E no final mais emocionante ainda ela dizendo que ia escrever a própria história agora. (poderiam fazer a história dela mais pra frente tipo um spin off mas não quero sofrer mais não e dorama é diferente dessas séries americanas, se fosse um livro até que seria bom...)
Eu só tô tão triste, porque queria eles juntos numa última cena final, eu queria TANTO o baek yi Jin e a hee do juntos, acho que isso é minha maior tristeza.
Mas eles foram o primeiro amor um do outro e talvez isso tenha sido suficiente (não pra mim). Eu queria tanto eles juntos. Eu só queria isso. Mas eu amei passar cada momento feliz com vocês. Eu amei tudo isso. E na minha cabeça vou fazer uma fic que vocês estão juntos sim como eu tanto tinha dito na minha teoria.
Obrigada por fazer meus últimos meses com 19 serem tão felizes (e um tiquinho triste) É isso o que tenho a dizer pra vocês.

Eu fiquei com receio de realmente não ter tempo pras pessoas que amo (e eu nem entrei no curso ainda e nem deveria estar pensando nisso) mas também vendo o baek yi Jin me deu a certeza de que é uma coisa que eu quero fazer sabe?
Eu esqueci do óbvio, o amor da Hee do e do baek yi Jin é uma das coisas mais linda que já vi e experimentei, eles crescendo juntos foi tão lindo, eu ficava tão extasiada. E de uma coisa um comentário que vi tá certo, o amor mais lindo e profundo que era o deles não deu certo mas o da yu rim na Rússia e do ji woong na Coreia deu? O irmão dele voltou e disse que tava esperando pela seung Wan? Enfim a tristeza
E o fato da gente não saber quem é o pai da min chae que era tão importante!
E que era sim pra ele aparecer no presente pelo menos? E todo o resto sabe? que tristeza
e não me saí da cabeça a mãe dela perguntando se ela tem visto ele! Só me deu esperança do reencontro. Acabou que eu gostei mais ou menos do final, ele foi decepcionante, tem a questão das expectativas também.

É A MELHOR COISA QUE JÁ ASSISTI EM TODA A MINHA VIDA!

Apesar de a sinopse trazer a ideia clichê de dois jovens solteiros se encontrando por aí e depois formando um casal super fofo, ‘Vinte e Cinco, Vinte e Um’ não se resume a isso. Na verdade, essa é a menor das pautas abordadas pela série.
Contando com a presença de nomes famosinhos no mundo dorameiro, como Kim Tae-Ri (A Criada) e Nam Joo-Hyuk (A Fada do Levantamento de Peso), o que se espera é boa coisa. Nossa querida Tae-Ri, que interpreta a Hee-Do, deu um show de atuação nesta série. Eu senti como se estivesse ali, pessoalmente, vivenciando cada um dos acontecimentos.

No decorrer dos episódios acompanhamos não apenas a trajetória de Na Hee-Do e de Baek Yi-jin, mas também de outros personagens que possuem um papel fundamental na trama. Apesar de ser um slice of life, cujo objetivo é tratar sobre situações cotidianas, ‘Vinte e Cinco, Vinte e Um’ conseguiu ultrapassar as barreiras entre realidade e ficção. Por vários momentos eu tive que me relembrar de que tudo ali não se passava de algo inventado. As atuações foram maravilhosas, mas o trabalho dos roteiristas e diretores também foi essencial!

CONSTRUÇÃO DA NARRATIVA:
Sendo dividida em duas linhas temporais, uma no momento presente, durante a pandemia de corona vírus, e outra em 1998, a história é contada por diários escritos pela própria Hee-Do, que acabam sendo lidos futuramente pela sua filha. Porém, quase todos os episódios são dedicados à história de Hee-Do, havendo poucos minutos em que temos conhecimento do que acontece no tempo presente. A obra termina quando Hee-Do para de escrever em seus diários, aos 21 anos (e Yi-jin aos 25, justificando o nome da série).

A trama gira em torno do amadurecimento pessoal de cada um dos personagens, focando principalmente em relacionamentos de amizade, amor e família. Tudo é construído lentamente e para o nosso casal temos o tal do ‘slow burn romance’ (aprendi esse termo recentemente, achei chique!). Fala sério, que galerinha boa para se ter uma química, hein. Tae-Ri e Joo-Hyuk tiveram muito mais vibe de casal do que o que vimos em ‘A Fada do Levantamento de Peso‘, e olha que o Joo-Hyuk e a outra protagonista tiveram um relacionamento na vida real. O que um bom roteirista não faz, né?

Acredito que o maior diferencial da obra, que trouxe esse ar mais realista, foi a falta de alívio cômico-exagerado que costumamos ver em outros doramas. Sempre rola aquela ceninha meio absurda que na hora a gente já pensa: “Isso com certeza não aconteceria na vida real”, e felizmente (ou infelizmente) a gente não encontra isso em ‘Vinte e Cinco, Vinte e Um’. Talvez seja esse o motivo de muita gente ter se decepcionado com o final: costumamos assistir esse tipo de coisa para fugir da realidade, não para sermos lembrados do quão dolorosa ela pode ser às vezes.

CONCLUSÕES FINAIS:
De toda obra que consumimos durante a nossa vida dá para se tirar algum aprendizado, e ‘Vinte e Cinco, Vinte e Um’ não seria uma exceção. O considero um dorama essencial pela mensagem que ele transmite sobre a importância dos relacionamentos e fechamentos de ciclos. São boas lições que servem para qualquer público.
O final de fato não é feliz, mas eu acredito que tenha sido a melhor resolução possível para a obra. Eu gostei muito, e não tenho nadinha do que reclamar.
