Season 1 V Season 2
In season one there was a balance between action, comedy, and drama, which nothing was exaggerated. Watching the evolution of the characters was very satisfying and fun and the best thing is that every character had the moment to shine, it was perfection in all aspects. While in season two, they over exaggerated on the comedy side of the show and kind of neglected the other aspects, it wasnβt deep and emotional as the first season. They had a plenty of time to prepare for the season, but unfortunately I was disappointed with the second season so much that I wished they contented with only one season. Was this review helpful to you?

waste of the incredible cast
There was too much comedy, which wasn't even funny. stupid side plots. over-usage of superpowers was so bad that it was so hard to continue cuz it felt like the villains lost the game due to these illogical superpowers every single time when the villains were overpowering the protagonists something illogical happens and saves the day which was unbearable the protagonists should be those illogical shit not the priest or his gang cuz at the end of the day those were the ones who defeated the vilaains not the priest or his gang.. yeah miracles are meant to happen but those miracles felt very forced and lets be honest how the hell would a plane door will fall right on top of the place they were fighting. second season was not needed as the priest and every other character got their perfect ending in the first season. this season ruined the characters and the drama for me to the point that i will pretend that this never happened. Also wasted the perfect cast as casting sungjoon as a villain was the best thing ever cuz he was so good in the island with kim nam gil. (if you enjoyed this its probably your cup of tea sorry if i offended anyone ) p.s. Kim nam gil slayed that outfit tho iykyk...Was this review helpful to you?

Since this is S2, EVERYTHING is DOUBLED - Hero & his Mini Version Vs 2 Villains, Haha
(NOTE 1: Check out my Reviews for both the seasons, for similarities n differences between S1 n S2NOTE 2: Since the Storylines are SAME in both the Seasons, U might find "some" parts of my Reviews SAME for both seasons π€
Since S2, everything is doubled, I too have two Notes above, haha ππ)
*****
S2 is NOT a Continuation / SEQUEL of S1, it's a STANDALONE.
But need to watch S1 to know the background of characters ππ»
Few New characters are introduced here n few from S1 are not in S2 π€·π»ββοΈ
This Season shows the adventures of our priest with his team in a different city, meeting new people, adding them to his team(π), fighting against the bad guys, fighting for justice on a Case different from that in S1.
***** THE STORY:
Same as S1,
I watched this Only for Namgil since I yearned to watch more of our fiery priestβΊοΈ
n found our priest's mini version (Seo Bum June's role) in this π
Here, The "Fiery Priest" with his Mini Version, is on Fire while in Action!! π
Since this is S2, EVERYTHING is DOUBLED:
Two bold / badass roles in Hero's team (Nam Gil's n his mini version π€)
Vs
Two Evil / badass roles in Villain's team
So there are two Attractions for me in this drama - Priest n his Mini Version βΊοΈπ
Also Same as S1,
This is a LIGHT DRAMA with
mindless silly comedy / Slapstick comedy,
Zero gripping /thought provoking plot, Zero mystery.
It's just a mediocre comedy, little exaggerated reactions and overacting for comedic purposes.
A mix of action + comedy + crime
All Fight sequences are VERY GOOD
***** THE DIFFERENCES :
At the first look, one might feel that
S1 is better than S2 since it's the same story formula but
S1 n S2 have their own charms, even though it's the same story formula π
The difference I found between two seasons is:
S1 deals with the church father's case who is close to our priest n so it gives an emotional connection for the revenge / justice seeking journey of our priest ππ»
Whereas
S2 deals with a general injustice case related to old people whom our priest met in his journey. So that emotional connection to the victims is less but instead his urge to seek justice for everyone using violence is good (n funny too) ππ»
This difference, either emotional connection in S1 or the urge to seek justice for strangers in S2, is reflected throughout all the episodes in both seasons.
And even viewers feel that "connection" in S1 n that "seeking justice for everyone" in S2 n so some might find S1 better than S2 based on emotional vibe differences
***** ACTORS / CHARACTERS:
Same as is S1,
Love Nam Gil's character a lot - The Fiery, the Bold, the Sarcastic π but Kind Hearted
But very short tempered and that generates the comedyπ
Nam Gil is so handsome with his Sarcastic Smirks in this too π
Whenever there is any injustice around him, the Savage Angry Beast inside this NIS agent turned Priest, awakens n the comedy follows while he is punishing the bad or fighting for the justice.
Nam Gil Admirers will Love to watch him in Action! βΊοΈ
Though the drama is mediocre, ABSOLUTELY LOVED Nam Gil's Sarcastic n Bold Character ππ»
Would love to watch the same character of Nam gil with the same personality n not being a Priest, with romance or bromance, in a Crime Action Comedy or a Crime Thriller β¨β¨
(The thought itself is so interesting! π€€)
β¨In S2,
The SPOOF of JOKER n the entire fight scenes there, are VERY FUNNY.
Nam Gil in JOKER'S attire is bratty (Joker is meant to be soπ)
Also The Priest's sarcastic bold nature is added to that Joker vibe n so he looks so GOOD n stylish !! π€€
**
Seo Bum June's role is a MINI VERSION of OUR FIERY PRIEST π
I liked his character a lot, though a support role π€
Both are stubborn, angry birds, when it comes to fight against injustice! ππ»
I loved his rapport with our priest ππ»
That little Bromance as teacher - student is cute
Those police station scenes, where our priest goes as an guardian to our little angry bird, are PURE COMEDY! ππ»π
(Nam Gil reacts like a KDrama Mom (crying n hitting her son, seeing him in police station). Very funny!π)
**
Same as is S1,
Kim Sung Kyun's role is the funniest, his comedic facial expressions are pure fun to watch!
His Bickering with the Priest, still continues in S2 n is the funniest πππ»
**
Same as is S1,
Lee Ha Nee's character is still the same Bold badass FL with a bit exaggerated reactions and expressions, little hyper active π
Like in S1, bromance (π) / friendship between priest n her is good.
Their funny bickering still continues in S2
Her role is more fun to watch in S1
Here, that track of her n the Ghost is funny
**
Sung Joon is so handsome n did the bad guy role well.
He is more ruthless n scary.
(As I said above, Everything is doubled in S2, so the evil nature of the villain is also doubled than the one in S1 π)
He, trying to flirt with FL is funny
(His wild imaginations about her π)
**
Seo Hyun Woo's role is also Good as the manipulative guy.
His rapport with Sung Joon's is good ππ»
(Team bad guys! πππ»)
**
Bibi's role is a bold police officer.
Her scenes along with the team are funny.
Her rapport with Sung Kyun, as a member from the same family tree, is funny
**
Same as in S1,
The other characters, the helping team of the priest are good n funny.
The actors did their roles well
**
I LOVED the roles of
Nam Gil, Seo Bum June (priest's mini version π€),
Sung Kyun (the funny piece with priest all the timeπ)
Sung Joon, Hyun Woo (the bad guys)
n Bibi, the Most.
ONLY THESE CHARACTERS ARE MORE INTERESTING out of all other characters.
*****
OST - That music suits well to the mood of the drama.
The instrumental bgm musics used for the Priest in Action or for any other character, are cool ππ»
*****
Just for Nam Gil's role,
a true Fiery & Justice seeking one n
to watch more of Nam gil as a punisher,
Yearned for a S2 ππ»
(n not for the usual routine storyπ€·π»ββοΈ)
Now with the same story formula, THERE IS NO SURPRISE, IF THERE IS A SEASON 3 π€·π»ββοΈππ»
***** RATING:
8.5 / 10 for this MINDLESS FUN RIDE π
(7 for the story and the mediocre comedy.
8.5 only bcz of
Nam Gil's Lovely Fiery character n impressive acting
+ mini version of our priest, Seo Bum June's role π
Enjoyed this show only bcz of Them ππ»)
**** My Admiration for Nam Gil π:
I fell in love with his acting from Crime Thriller "Through the Darkness" π
n then watched Action Comedy "The Fiery Priest "
The variations in his roles in these two dramas are Amazing, SURPRISED ME alot.
There, as a Cold Introvert person, who never talks (dark vibes surrounding him n so brooding)
Here, as a fiery n yet funny n lively person, who never stops talking n smiling, punishing the bad guys and giving evil smirks to them, haha
There, I always wanted him to smile or speak out π
Here, am surprised to see him talking non-stop π
He just slayed both the roles though they are extremes in nature n in personality.
Anyways,
Introvert analysing criminals (Through the Darkness) to
A Fiery smiley (comedic in The Fiery Priest) to
An Emotional One side lover / stalker (in another drama),
U can clearly see the differences in each of his roles n in his acting.
He is a PROLIFIC actor! π€
And so the Saga of me, watching every drama of his, Started
If he is in a project, I'm in! π
Oh my Nam Gil Oppa! π
What have U done to my poor heart !! π€

The Fiery Priest 2: A Masterpiece of Action, Comedy, and Heart with Unforgettable Performances
The Fiery Priest" Season 2 was an absolute masterpiece! π₯βοΈ The electrifying fight scenes π₯π₯, perfectly timed comedy ππ€£, and deeply emotional moments π’β€οΈ made it an unforgettable experience. The story's pacing and character development kept me hooked until the very end π΅οΈββοΈπ, and every scene was brilliantly crafted π₯β¨, balancing action βοΈ, humor, and heartfelt moments π«I also loved the entire cast, their chemistry was fantastic, and everyone brought their characters to life so well! ππ₯π.I absolutely loved KIM NAM GILβs performance - it was pure brilliance! β€οΈπ₯ And Sung Joonβs portrayal of the drug lord villain, Kim Hong Sik, added so much depth and intensity to the story, making every confrontation even more gripping. Everyone has their opinions, and if you didnβt enjoy it, thatβs fine - but donβt spread hate. There are people, like me, who absolutely loved it! ππ

Totally hilarious and full of laughter
Kim Nam Gil totally was born for action vibes! I am glad to see him again in Fiery Priest 2. The drama still funny just like season 1. Thank you to director for still keeping all the main cast. I supposed to hate the villain in the drama but Iβm sorry I cannot do that. I love all the character and I donβt have any reason to hate them. Every role are important and funny. Season 2 still got the power to make people laugh. I hope season 2 will have a good ending. Iβm looking forward for next episode. Was this review helpful to you?
the humor is so damn good
Returns with its signature blend of action, humor, and heart, taking viewers on another thrilling ride with its beloved characters. Kim Nam Gil shines once again as the unpredictable and passionate Father, whose sharp wit, martial arts action, and unwavering sense of justice make for an engaging and satisfying watch. The Fiery Priest Season 2 is a must-watch for fans of the first season and newcomers alike, offering a perfect mix of thrills, laughter, and meaningful storytelling. Was this review helpful to you?
Never Go Full Retard!
As someone who binge watched the first season in a day and half, this season was an absolute struggle to complete. Not my style! The Good- I love this ensemble cast. Even the new ones who joined this season, were all in sync with the older characters (special shoutout to my girl, Bibi!). Everyone had their highlight moments and the matching vibes was fun to see (some of the time). The villains were well fleshed out characters, at least in the first half. There was mostly a good plot development in the show, the whole figuring things out and surprise reveals added that teensy "now we are talking" element to the show.
The action was well done, all the fights were choreographed and executed flawlessly which coupled with my unchanging love for Kim Nam-gil & new found appreciation for Sung Joon aka Hong Sik was how I got through this mess of a series.
Now for the rest.
I was cringing during 80% of this series. The series was expected to follow in the first one's footsteps and have it's classic comic relief moments, but this definitely wasn't it. Most of the humour felt forced, the exaggerated expressions & over-acting bogged the characters down and random "funny moments" inserts just took away from the the plot. Even during important moments that could make/break the story, there was no stopping the scriptwriter & director combo and the actors from behaving like they are high on crack which absolutely ruined the impact. There was no room to connect with any character or feel angry/bad/sad or any other emotion during the show because of the overt amount of fun. Especially the musical in between, god that was long and horrible. It could have been so much more.
I wanted to see drama & justice and all i got were stupid theatrics from the travelling theatre troup, as Nam Du Heon rightly said.

Wow! Both Season 1 and Season 2 were absolutely amazing!
The cast, both original and new, was stellar! The diversity of characters really stood out, and while they all came from different walks of life, their shared commitment to justice and fiery-ness~ brought them together beautifully.I thoroughly enjoyed every moment, and I have to say the humor in Season 2 really stood out to me. While I enjoyed it, at times it felt a bit overdone, almost like it was too much. but I felt that the cast was genuinely having fun together on set.
I did expect the tone to shift a little more towards seriousness as the story neared its climax, and I have to admit, the way Hong-Sik went down didnβt entirely meet my expectations because his actions didn't match his character. However, I do appreciate that this drama took a different approachβfocusing on delivering justice properly through the law rather than simply having the bad guys meet a tragic end. That, after all, aligns perfectly with the core message of the show.
"Acting Mature Only Makes You Overly Cautious" - Park Kyung Sun
I learned so many lessons. As an overthinker, this helped me a lot to live in the moment. There were so many quotes that I truly want to absorb into my life.
I also loved how this season leaned more towards a lighthearted tone. Even though the villains were deeply evil, I found it refreshing that I could watch without feeling overwhelmed by 'ah-Stresss~'
The action scenes? Simply top-notch, as always! Every fight sequence was executed brilliantly, keeping me on the edge of my seat while showcasing the charactersβ strength and skills. And that endingβoh my goodness!
Iβm absolutely craving a Season 3 with this fiery team back in action! Team Fiery, please make it happen!
