Finally on Disney+ for me to watch! Gorgeous visual and a nice beginning with an animation to give a background story. Epic beginning with a hooded figure with bold red lips chasing a demon. Lots of characters are introduced. Our leading lady Wu Zhen a playful haughty socialite who happens to be a cat demon who is in charge of keeping order in the demon market. So we got her solving an ongoing murder that involves a demon. Our leading man a Taoist who is cold and detached of worldly matters trying to find out what happened 18 years ago to his parents.“Once you make a mistake and make an exception, you’ll do it again. Just like how once you’ve broken the rules for the first time, there will always be a second.”“There won’t be a next time”With her face. Who wouldn’t break the rules for her.Ending with that scene and him covering the sub for her. She got him wrapped in her fingers already.

The character introduction was done smoothly without any pretentious intent. Shot was taken beautifully. Male lead and Female lead first set up impression is good.

The Beginning is really good!! Tian Xiwei playing Wu Zhen who is the Cat Lord of the Demon Market of Chang'an 🎭. While Xu Kai playing Mei Zhuyu, he's playing his character really well, a man of few words, totally simple yet principled, A Taoist Priest, who's extremely powerful ☯️. The episode started with Wu Zhen chasing a Demon at night wearing a long hood. The Demon escaped but she transformed into a cat 🐈 and went inside the Ruyi House to her assistant Hu Zhu, a Fox Demon 🦊. I'm satisfied with the casting, visuals and special effects, they did such a good job!! The Young Marquis proposed marriage but Wu Zhen kicked him from the second floor and he fell on his cart full of betrothal gifts, that was where Mei Zhuyu first saw the mesmerizing beauty of Lady Wu Zhen. After that She ordered for eligible men and women to be invited to her Birthday Banquet, to catch the Demon. Mei Si, Mei Zhuyu's cousin took him to the banquet, where Wu Zhen first saw Mei Zhuyu. She trapped the Demon and took him to the Demon underworld and found out that this one is innocent, his companion is the one who's wrecking havoc in Chang'an. She plans to find some clues about that Demon in the Investigation Bureau, that is where MZY works and he's like an iceberg 🧊. I'm excited for the episodes ahead.

Oh My GOD! Just one episode and I'm SOLD~!!✨ Xu Kai's Mei Zhu Yu gives off an aloof yet principled young man, who would vanish into the background without having much presence. While, my beloved Xiao-Tian Xi Wei 😍🥰 excudes an authoritive yet sassy aura that could make one swoon in an instant~ The couple compliment each other with their contrasting personalities and ways of thinking. Both also have mysterious secrets with missions to fulfill, which calls for their unlikely cooperation.It's only the first episode and I'm already more than satisfied with how it started! Thank you Tencent for feeding us this G.E.M💎✨
