Career oriented drama
Me as an undergraduate botany student, totally loved this drama. First it's completely a new genre. 2nd the writers expressed theie whole respect for botanists and ornithologists. Their sacrifices, thier will to change the world, even thou this subject isn't in a very high demand, i think the world shoud show their respect and fund various labs. Caz they are the ones that can save this earth from being polluted and destroyed.Coming to the love story, it was cute and pure.
Music, so relaxing
And acring...ahhh on dfrnt level.
I m just in love with Zhang now.
Lastly it's a must watch drama.

Cute, light and Cringy for a bit???
Watched the drama merely for Esther and got hooked with her chemistry with Vin Zhang. Tbh, the plotline was a typical cheesy rom-com drama and the 2nd CP was way too cringy imo. And the storyline somewhat draggy too. The rating I gave merely because of the chemistry between ML and FL. Their chemistry both on-off screen made me screamed and felt fuzzy inside lol. Hoping for them to work together in the future for historical drama maybe? and also hoping that Esther will potray as strong, empowered female lead in the future since I've seen a lot of feedback online saying that she potrayed same type of female lead character.p/s: review isnt helpful since I dont know how to write review or comment on the story much. Pls do watch the drama for light and easygoing romance!

the story is based on YSX (FL) who is a makeup blogger and ZU (ML) who is botany professor . they have already encounter each other in college and high school . there were a misunderstanding between them which had lead them to different path . they are accidentally meet each other and their journey starts to fall for each other.
the leads have very beautiful chemistry which will keep you busy.
there are 2 leads which have their own story to follow. they have little bit more of the screen time as they are 2 leads . i have to skip their parts to watch our main leads scenes.
the overall drama is worth a try because ML and FL will not disappoint in their acting.
this drama is lighthearted and easy to watch .
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CUTE , ENERGITIC FL WHO CHASES MALE FIRST AND A SLOW BURN ROMANCE THEN THIS IS FOR YOU.

The direction led the drama slowly and, at the end, a 100m dash. At the beginning of the drama the comic scenes are very forced and therefore it is difficult to laugh. Very few exciting scenes. The editing isn't pristine and the use of flashback scenes is rather tiresome.
The cast is good, but few fit into their characters (too annoying characters), so the scenes are not always convincing.
The soundtrack is good, but it wasn't always used properly to maximize the emotion of the scene.

Professors Fall in Love
I despise lies, manipulation, and playing with people's lives, so it was difficult for me to fully appreciate the drama when BOTH sets of the destined pairs were deep in deception.The Good: Esther Yu and Vin Zhang had amazing chemistry. The ML was masterful at slowly warming to the FL's tactics. The FL was the right blend of silly and smart to be able to bypass the ML's defenses and win him over. Both actors made the drama watchable. I know many find Esther Yu's baby voice and melodramatics irritating, but she reminds me of my baby sister (only not quite as hyper), and I find her entertaining. I also liked the professions depicted: ornithology and botany. The FL's styling was perfect for a beauty blogger.
The Bad: The secondary couple should have had their story cut in half (at least). Ideally, they wouldn't have had much screen time. The constant captions reminding the viewer that the birds were CGI and no animals were harmed during production were distracting. Flash those notices at the beginning of an episode; viewers are intelligent enough to realize you didn't mass kill a bunch of birds for the story. Also, the bird-stealing gang storyline was cringeworthy.

This had the potential to be one of my favorite drama of all time.
Lets get the complaints out of the way since I’m sure everyone has already said the same thing. THE SECOND LEADS ARE ANNOYING. I love their characters overall of course but not once did i care or look forward to seeing their romance. hell, i was looking forward to seeing Gou Fei on screen than seeing them. That’s how much I hated watching them. The entire thing with him faking needing a wheelchair so he hires her to take care of him so he can be close to her is some messed up power dynamics bs then him revealing that he actually is a leg amputee is just ugh. at that point i DID NOT care. please just get them out of my screen. It’s also the way that they take up HALF of each episodes aside from the last few. WHY ARE THEY TAKING TIME FROM THE MAIN LEADS??? There are literally so many important scenes like the drunk kiss scene that gets cut out to give time to the second leads which. why. why did you do that. the guy is so unremarkable i don’t even remember his character name dhmu.Other than that this would have been a 10/10, the soundtrack was gorgeous, the main leads chemistry was off the charts, Yu Meiran’s backstory was amazing. The way she pursued Zhuang Yu in the beginning and the way he had to pursue her back after leaving her was so interesting to watch, I also loved the way she bonded with his brother and them being honest with each other about everything at the end, I find myself rewatching many scenes of this drama often. Esther Yu was once again perfect for her role and her chemistry with Binbin was also very cute to watch, I would definitely like a season two or watch them act together again. but really please i want a season two i just want to watch Dr.Yu and Professor Zhuang’s antics and academics rivalry forever they make me so happy.

Walaupun ada bbrp scene yg bikin rada ga paham cuma yaa ga mengganggu banget sih, bisa dicari HAHA

my god does this drag
I went into this drama really excited — the leads had amazing chemistry, and the clips I saw on TikTok were super cute. Plus, I’ve loved the male lead in other dramas, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this ended up being such a frustrating watch, and honestly, I regret sticking with it as long as I did.The beginning was so good. The main couple’s chemistry was off the charts — she was openly going after him, and he kept gently rebuffing her at first. Then they went to her family’s hostel, and that whole stretch of the show was adorable. Watching him slowly warm up to her as he learned more about her past felt natural and sweet.
Her initial goal for pursuing him was actually to dump him as revenge for something that happened in the past. Back when they were younger, she gave him a love letter, but he stood her up. She later found out he had received a ton of similar letters and never even read hers. It was a misunderstanding, because when she overheard him talking about it years later, he wasn’t even talking about her at all — just a random conversation that she took the wrong way. Honestly, it was kind of a dumb plot point, but the show actually pulled it off well, and it led to some really cute moments between them.
A big chunk of the show takes place at the hostel, so I assumed that when they returned to the university, we’d finally see their romance progress to a mutual acknowledgment of feelings. At that point, they were in a good place, and even his little brother liked her — it felt like the perfect setup for their relationship to grow.
But as soon as he left to do research, all that progress completely disappeared. He didn’t even tell her he was leaving, she got upset and blocked him, and he couldn’t explain himself. Then came several episodes of her being miserable. When he finally came back, she wouldn’t hear him out, and we were stuck in this endless cycle of miscommunication and stubbornness. All that wonderful build-up and romantic tension just evaporated.
I didn’t need them to instantly become a couple, but at least some intentional romance or forward momentum would’ve been nice. Instead, it felt like the writers kept throwing in random obstacles just to keep them apart — and at a certain point, it stopped feeling meaningful and just felt like filler. By the second half of the show, the second couple actually had more screen time and romantic moments than the main couple, which was so irritating.
I’m used to slow-burn romances, especially in K-dramas, where the leads might not officially get together until the very end. But usually, there’s still progress — sweet moments, kisses, dating, actual payoff. Here, it was just endless build-up with no reward. With 35 episodes, this pacing was painful.
Overall:
Acting: Great — both leads and supporting cast did well.
Chemistry: Really strong, especially in the first half.
Plot: Started promising, then got messy and frustrating.
Pacing: Awful, especially after the hostel arc.
This drama had so much potential with a good cast, strong acting, and great early chemistry, but it completely fumbled the execution. If you love extremely slow-burn romances and don’t mind a lot of pointless obstacles, you might enjoy it. But for me, it was a total waste of time — and by the end, I was just fast-forwarding, waiting for a payoff that never really came.

If you are looking for rom-com this will be the nice choice
When I see the reviews of this drama I was very excited to watch and I am not kidding this is the best decision I have make. This drama is literally so funny to watch i couldn't control my laugh this drama have a good comic timing . This is one of the drama that make get hooked after the first episode.The story of this drama is so cute my personal favourite couple is Jin xi and Li taintain and main character also. The romance in this drama very soothing and loveable. Overall a pack of family, romantic and funny drama. If you want to watch a romantic drama in which girl chases a boy then you choose the right drama. At last this drama is one time watch you can watch and enjoy.

Yu Shu Xin(Yu Mei Ren), is an actress I just started watching and may have watched her in other dramas but Love between Fairy and The Devil is where I noticed her talented acting. The only thing about this drama is why I dropped a point off the storyline because the producers or screenwriters had her acting like a child continuously and I know from watching Love between Fairy and the Devil, I believe that is not her. I don't know why they made her look like her character was a spoiled child. I still gave it a 10 because I know that both main leads have great talent. Wow both are beautiful looking! Thanking all the other actors/actresses on the set and the team. I felt like Episode 35 was not the end. I wanted to see more. I am going to rewatch this again, one day.
