Fantastic drama
Reset was one of the first cdramas, at least to my memory, that I've watched through from beginning to end, and it was absolutely 100% enjoyable; The story/ plot itself was very refreshing (at least to me), the casting/ acting was fantastic, and the story wasn't dragged out for too many episodes. I loved the buildup of the relationship/ the relationship period between the leads (it's definitely one of my favorites, especially the ML ;)), and the series had some really comedic moments but took itself seriously enough that you could too. Overall I found the drama extremely enjoyable, and would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a good action/ thriller, action with just a *hint* of romance that pays off at the end lol, or just something good to watch in general.SPOILER(S)↓
Somethings I really loved were;
- the writers didn't purely center around their romance, but dwelt into the psychological tole of being trapped inside groundhogday + speed lol.
- most of the characters were likeable/ lovable and all of them had some form of depth, (weather you agreed with them or not, you knew their backstory lol)
- The action scenes
-the ML (literally one of my favs, he was kind but still willing to do whatever he needed to save them/ get off the bus)
-the FL (she was kind/ caring and strong w/out being annoying or too intense)
-ML and FL personalities and what their lives were supposedly like before the time loop
-ML and FL dynamic
-Rudy and his cat/ Rudy's story
What I could do without/ wasn't big on;
- near the second to last/ last eps they dragged it out/ put a lowkey filler ep
-That they took the time to dwell into each and every person on the bus' backstory in-depth; sometimes it felt like it got in the way of the leads mission or the action
-the cops were a little unnecessarily nosy/ overzealous sometimes ( like when the leads got off the bus early and suddenly it makes the leads terrorists... But hey the cops were just try'na do their job, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

*** Spoiler Alert (PERSONAL FEEDBACK)Title : Reset – 2022 (Complete 15 Episode)
Personal Rating : 9/10
Recommended for viewers who enjoys suspense, mystery, brain-storming dramas. 😁🤯🫨
Xiao He Yun (played Bai Jing Ting) A passenger that boarded the bus to commute to a meeting with investors for his game development project. Xiao He Yun is a kind person at heart, but when Li Shi Qing inadvertently drags him into the time loop, he struggles to take action due to being made all too aware of his own morality. Likening the time loop to a video game, he identifies that the condition for breaking the loop is to catch the perpetuator behind the bombing. He has sharp analytical skills and uses critical reasoning to help solve the mystery.
Li Shi Qing (Played Zhao Jin Mai) A passenger who boarded the bus to pick up books for her university courses. Li Shi Qing is a normal girl in every sense of the word, until one day her life is turned upside down by being trapped in a time loop. Despite her fears of the vivid memory of repeatedly dying, she is a very brave person who stands by what she believes in. She sees it as her duty to use her position of being trapped in the loop to keep trying until she's able to save everyone else on the bus. However, she knows that it's impossible for her to accomplish this goal on her own.
This is my first drama of Bai Jin Ting! I was researching a Top-Rated drama from China last 2022 in MDL and this is one of the tops. So, I tried it and got hooked.😍 Personally, this is one of the best short modern mystery, thriller Chinese drama that I’ve watched. Every episode was amazing and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Even if it is a never-ending time loop drama you will never be bored because every loop has a different situation. And you will start to think how the characters think.😅 like what they should do next, or which is the possible culprit.😁
Overall, I enjoyed this drama because I like suspense, mystery, and brain-storming dramas. The leads have a slight romance and good chemistry. Bai Jing Ting was so good and because of this drama I started binge-watching all his other dramas.❤️ The drama pacing is perfect. The supporting cast from all the passengers to the policemen are all superb!👏👏👏 Great ending too! 😍🤩
GENRE – Thriller, Mystery, Sci-Fi

Great for mystery lovers!!
Reset is a heartwarming drama that doesn't disappoint fans of mystery genre lovers.STORY
Reset tells a story of Li Shiqing, a college student who gets stuck in a timeloop. In the timeloop she is in a bus that explodes everytime. She suffers from many timeloops before managing to leave the bus with a man, Xiao Heyun. Soon she is back in the bus, but this time Xiao Heyun is stuck in the timeloop with her. They together start to think ways to escape the bus, then realizing that they need to stop the bus from exploading and people from dying to leave the timeloop. They very slowly get fond of each other and in the end fall in love.
My Opinion:
The story was made very well. From the start i was interested in the story and what and who was behind the explosion. For me it did get a little bit tiring in the middle, because we got so many background info on characters that turned out to not be that important. Great example was Lu Di. When Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun suspect Lu Di, they stop him from getting in the bus and check his bag only to find a cat in it. That saved Lu Di and he wants to know how Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun knew what was going to happen. We get to know him and they tell Lu Di the whole truth, that they are in a timeloop and that maybe he is in it too now, since they saved him. Lu Di gets all excited and trusts them fully. He is happy to finally have friends and "to be able to be a hero." When Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun fall asleep and by falling asleep, go back in to the timeloop, turns out that Lu Di didn't join them in the timeloop. After this, they rarely talk to Lu Di in the other timeloops and we never get to see them being friends again. It kinda made me sad, since i liked Lu Di and he was so happy to finally have friends, but in the end there were not a single sign that Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun befriended him again.
What also frustrated me was that everytime they talked to the police, they were VERY nervous and hadn't practiced what they were going to say enough. A lot of time was wasted on police being suspicious of them. But overall i think this drama was great for mystery lovers. It was interesting and it had it's heartwarming end.
CAST
Zhao Jinmai as Li Shiqing,
She was a great pick for this role. She was very believable when showing the signs of her being traumatized, scared and worried. Her facial expressions and body language were great!
Bai Jing Ting as Xiao Heyun,
He acted out this very introverted person who had a lot of intellect. When Xiao Heyun progressed in the drama, so did Bai Jing Ting's acting! At first he was cold and there wasn't much personality in him, but he soon turned out to be brave and caring! Bai Jing Ting was the right pick for Xiao Heyun!

The time loops were so interesting! I was afraid that the drama might get boring with the repeating plot but every loop brought some new information, which moved the story forward. All of the actors did such a great job, especially the leads but I came to like the supporting characters on the bus too. I liked getting to know more about them, some episodes were focused on various side characters and their backstories. I was glad that we got a glimpse at how they lived at the end.
What I wasn't expecting was for the drama to touch on the sensitive topis of SA but it was very well-done.
There are still a few things that weren't explained so that's why I'm rating this 9.5 instead of 10 stars like why and how did the leads get into the time loop in the first place, why was the ML getting sicker etc.

MUST WATCH!
The drama has an incredibly exciting plot, and you just want to watch it without stopping to find out all the details of the cycle and how the story will end. I admired the courage of Shi Qing, despite everything she tried to save the lives of everyone on this bus. Bai Jing Ting also played his character Xiao He Yun coolly, his bravery, cowardice at times. A common problem brought them closer, they trusted each other and stuck together no matter what, so I didn't expect any other end for them, we got such a sweet couple. The events are very well arranged, the chronology of events is not lost, so the viewer learns all the necessary information gradually.
Highly recommend it!

short, interesting and has a good ending
This was a pleasant watch. Finished it in less than 48hrs. The story was interesting and sort of mysterious. There were quite a few nerve wracking moments. Though i must admit that the 1st 2 eps were legit confusing but get through it and it's an interesting yet smooth journey. I liked the story, the unexpected turns and background stories. Nothing is what it seems. Deserves the good rating. Besides that it is short, engaging and has a good ending. I liked acting of all the important characters. Didn't bother about the osts though, wasn't important but bgm was suitable. The production was done very very well. My 2nd drama of this genre, and now i believe even more that this genre is best among all the modern dramas if done well. Was this review helpful to you?
A Time Loop Thriller That Champions Empathy and Courage.
"Reset" is a tightly paced Chinese sci-fi thriller that hooks viewers from its very first episode. The story follows two strangers, Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun, who find themselves caught in a time loop after boarding a city bus that explodes. Every time they die, they wake up moments before the explosion, forced to relive the same terrifying cycle. As the pair gradually uncover clues and piece together the mystery, the show explores deeper social issues, such as trauma, mental health, and the hidden struggles of ordinary people. With each loop, the stakes grow higher, creating a suspenseful, emotionally charged ride. What sets "Reset" apart is its balance between high-concept science fiction and grounded human drama. The lead actors, Zhao Jinmai and Bai Jingting, deliver strong, nuanced performances, making their characters' growth feel genuine as they learn to trust each other and take responsibility for those around them. The series avoids the trap of repetitiveness by offering new perspectives and twists in nearly every episode. With just 15 episodes, it's a concise, well-written drama that blends mystery, emotion, and social commentary into one of the most compelling Chinese dramas in recent years.
It ultimately shows the importance of empathy, accountability, and the value of every human life. The series suggests that real change often comes from understanding others' pain and choosing to act with compassion-even when the situation feels hopeless. It also explores how small actions, when repeated with intention, can disrupt cycles of violence and indifference. In a world where people are often too busy to look deeper, "Reset" reminds us that noticing others, listening, and caring can truly reset the course of events.

Avoid spoilers and enjoy the show.
This series keeps you on your toes the whole time, well-paced engaging story, well fleshed out characters played by very good actors (great chemistry between the leads) and narrative that is well planned out as well.If you watch it the second time you can also judge how well certain parts play out when you know the ending. It must be said tho that avoiding spoilers is necessary to enjoy this show the most during the first watch, it keeps you guessing and fully engaged until the end.
Female lead is the one that shines the most for me here.

A Clever, Addictive Time-Loop Thriller
Reset is a gripping Chinese drama that takes the time-loop concept and turns it into a suspenseful, emotional ride. Each repeat of events on the bus feels more urgent, as tiny changes ripple into new possibilities and dangers. The story is fast-paced yet thoughtful, exploring not only survival but also responsibility, morality, and human connection. What makes Reset shine is the balance between clever plotting and emotional resonance. The leads deliver convincing performances, making their characters’ desperation and determination believable as they unravel the mystery piece by piece. The pacing keeps you hooked, with every loop revealing just enough to keep the suspense alive.
If you love thrillers with smart twists and emotional depth, Reset is a must-watch that keeps you guessing until the very end.

Groundhog Day meets CSI: Bus Edition—but with more emotional baggage
A Time-Loop Thriller That’s More Than Just a Rewind Button✨ THE GOOD:
Bai Jingting & Zhao Jinmai: Their chemistry is electric—think Sherlock and Watson, but with more running and less tea.
Tight writing: 15 episodes, zero filler. Every loop adds layers, not just déjà vu.
Cinematography: Some shots look like they belong in a film festival, not a bus crash.
Emotional depth: It’s not just about stopping the bus; it’s about saving lives, relationships, and your sanity.
🌀 THE "WAIT, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?" MOMENTS:
Time loops: They’re not just a plot device; they’re a puzzle box that keeps you guessing.
Character growth: Watch as the leads evolve from strangers to partners in crime-solving.
Villain reveal: When it hits, it hits hard—like a plot twist and a slap in the face.
🎯 VERDICT:
"Like playing a video game where every death teaches you something new—except the stakes are real and the respawn button is broken."
Watch if: You love mind-bending thrillers with heart.
Skip if: You need a straightforward plot or hate cliffhangers.
Best paired with: 🍿 A comfy chair, a strong coffee, and a willingness to question reality.

I initially watched about 3 episodes of this drama a few months ago, however it kind of terrified me a bit and I became very anxious so I decided to stop watching. However I really wanted to watch it so I started it from the beginning and I wasn't as scared this time. I really liked this drama, (even though I will probably be scared to go on a bus now), I really loved the main characters and the process of their relationship, however I do think there should have been more romance considering they had loads of chemistry I felt. I also really liked Lu Di but I wish that he was just a little bit more involved. I do think that they could have made at least one more episode to finish it up, like how they re-visited the case of before and such, and built a friendship with Lu Di, but over all I do think this was a great drama.
