Never Again.
Yo, so I saw the trailer for this show on Netflix and I was like, "This gonna be fire!" But nah, it was straight-up weak sauce. I had to grind through 'cause I was curious, but even the final episode couldn't redeem it.Let's talk about Mrs. Choi—she was mad annoying, and her vibe was off. And the main character? Supposed to be tough, but she was clueless.Honestly, they should've flipped the script, ya know? Made the main character actually interesting.
Overall, the show was a letdown. Save yourself the time and yall something else.

Not even close to Penthouse
A little over soapy rather than classy, nothing too special in its cinematography department, which is quite surprising given that it's a Netflix original, it somehow just look like drama that came out from the major tv stations. The pressure point and strategies they implemented won't make you scream as the script seems unimaginative, it sadly ended up with bland characters and largely repetitive dialogues that miss the mark. The whole production quality doesn't even come close to what Penthouse has to offer. Was this review helpful to you?

This is my very first review so please forgive me if there are any mistakes. This series starts of slightly slow and i think this works with how the FL is feeling. At this point in the series she was at her lowest and least confident. As the series progresses we see her gain more confidence and stand on her feet. I'm glad she doesn't completely rely on the men in her life but also takes matter in her own hands and collaborates with other women who want to take the antagonist down. i personally did not like the 'ending' for the FL because that was the wrong Love interest to go for. the other one is better and so much more interesting. i said ending like that because i heard there was meant to be 16 episodes rather than 8 so i cant wait for season 2. i think i have second male lead syndrome
this doesn't really have the biggest rewatch value. But i probably watch some of it to remind myself for the potential next season. but i wouldnt go out my way to rewatch it again.

Worth your time
It's already a known fact that after the epic success of "The world of the Married" there has been a sharp increase in similar dramas. But for me, this is so far the BEST of them. Like really something good to watch after so long. The story is intriguing, the villain is extremely hateful, and the love story is sweet. I think the main leads manage to bring out the emotions of their characters in a profound way that you can't help loving their respective characters. This is one of those good, handsome, capable CEO who is not a jerk falling in love with the poor mary-sue character. This story is not too dark or not too light and at the same time despite making you want to strangle the villain, they still give you a few sugar scenes in between.I would recommend anyone to watch this drama cuz this is definitely worth your time.

On the Paths of Greed for Power
One of the most successful dramas that Korea has produced. There is no dull moment in any episode. The acting of all the actors is excellent and focused, without dramatization of the acting. At the end of the last episode, it is not clear what happens to the one who played the second male role, Cha Seok Jin (actor Park Hoon). And it is not clear what happens to the manager of Rex. Did she inherit her husband's property or not? It seems to me that in order to close the gaps, it was important to produce one more episode.

A lavish revenge tale that dazzles visually but stumbles in storytelling.
Remarriage & Desires (2022) – 6.5/10: A Glossy Revenge Drama That Tries to Be 'Penthouse' but Ends Up 'PowerPoint'💍 THE GOOD:
Kim Hee-sun as Seo Hye-seung – Delivers a poised performance as a woman seeking revenge in the elite matchmaking world.
Slick production design – Lavish settings and high-fashion wardrobes provide visual appeal.
Satirical premise – Offers a critique of societal obsession with status and marriage.
The Envoy Web
⚠️ THE "ALMOST, BUT..." MOMENTS:
Pacing issues – The series' slow build-up may test viewers' patience, with momentum picking up only in the final episodes.
Rotten Tomatoes
Convoluted character dynamics – Complex relationships and numerous subplots can lead to confusion.
The Envoy Web
Repetitive soundtrack – Limited musical themes become monotonous over time.
💔 STANDOUT SCENES:
Masquerade ball – A visually striking event that encapsulates the show's themes of deception and desire.
Final confrontation – A climactic moment where secrets unravel and motivations are laid bare.
🎯 VERDICT:
"Remarriage & Desires" presents a satirical look at high-society matchmaking, with strong performances and luxurious visuals. However, its slow pacing and complex plotlines may not appeal to all viewers.
Watch if: You're interested in a drama that critiques societal norms with a touch of glamour.
Skip if: You prefer fast-paced narratives with straightforward plots.
Best paired with: A glass of champagne and a penchant for melodrama.

Kim Hee Sun - The Queen of Mother character
I complete this 8 episodes series in a few hours, by skipping some parts that I want to skip, uninteresting parts obviously. The series is not with a heavy plot (unlike Why Her, Eve), but enough with thrills for us to keep on continue watching till the end. Hee Sun really the best in portraying the mother and wife character. Her works have been so fun to watch, including this series. However, it is much more interesting to watch the character development of Mr CEO of the game company. At first, I was disappointed to see him give in to that woman Jin Yoo Hee (he sleep with her after the first date). What a typical man. And she is such a cheap character but with a desire for revenge. What I pity for her character is that she is alone, she has no one to back her up, which leads her to hold on to her desire for revenge to continue living.
There is an eye candy plot twist at the end, you guys can look forward to it!

Important Learnings
The FL was such a interesting character in her other drama on Netflix "Tomorrow" that I wanted to watch this drama. At first it was intriguing what this master plan was but then it was like "o that's it?".
Lessons I've learned from this script:
1. Daddy issues will lead to a sociopath daughter
2. Revenge can work if:
---You have a rich cheobol heir for an ex BF that still wants to get back with you and will help you no matter what.
---You have a new rich suitor who wants to be with you and help you no matter what.
Else your only grand revenge is to make a speech in a dating social to expose what the evil woman did to your dead husband.
8 short episodes of this and the story of the husband's death was repeated at least 4x. That's 1 repetitive script.
Few highlights of the drama:
Evil FL: watched her in numerous other supporting roles and this role was completely different from all her prior roles. She pulled it off perfectly. Loved her crazy eye death stares!
Rich Ex BF & Rich Suitor, both characters are quite attractive personality wise. They should've focused more on character growth instead.
Rich Ex BF's stepmom - potential interesting character. Should be a spin off on her character in future drama.

Could have been a better 16 episode drama
Spoiled the drama just to accommodate it into 8 episodes. Could have been more space for romance as well as drama. A lot of shifting alliances would also have been possible. Romance is lacking, drama is lacking. everything comes to stop abruptly for every dramatic moment. I guess they wanted to focus mainly on THE REX, but it would have been better if the story was viewed from FL viewpoint. The FL needed more time to build her strength as well as develop as a character. Plot twists are not very interesting. The dramatic impact is also not long enough to feel, it was always rushed so as to complete the story in 8 episodes. I think they wanted to focus THE REX to create more seasons with different actors with REX as the center but it did not work. Was this review helpful to you?
Average Kdrama
An attempt to identify the emotional drama of the 1%. While the show is not a mystery or thriller it does focus on a rather bizarre theme of revenge. Wow having money can afford you to step over others is about the plot of the show. Having friends with money can help as well.If you don't expect too much then watch it. Setting is great costumes and scenarios do highlight the rich in society
Although there are some "aha" moments and the show does have good acting a revenge story just doesn't fit in perhaps throw in a bit of mystery and it will help to captivate the audience.

You May Watch It
Remarriage and Desires is more suitable for beginners interested in the 'infidelity and revenge' storyline. There were many plot holes, rushed parts, and a lack of chemistry. It may be because of less number of episodes. Nevertheless, you may watch it at least once. There were countless twists and turns. Almost all the characters were grey! (one of my favourite parts) The cast did their job wonderfully. You would get furious and throw profanities at the antagonists while pity partying and getting frustrated with the protagonists. They even messed up Lee Hyun Wook's character in the middle. However, considering the drama's length it's better to keep your expectations low.The MAIN reason I would recommend this is because of its MUSIC. The opening song, OST, and background music are top-notch. You would feel all those emotions primarily because of THE MUSIC. I wanna thank the music director. They have done an exceptional job. *Claps*
Overall, I wanna give it 8 or 8.4 but the last episode was truly disappointing. They should have left it on an open note when it came to the romance line. After all, 95% of the story was about infidelity, revenge and struggle. So there was not much space for romance, unfortunately.
So if you are new to this genre and want something less darky, Remarriage and Desires is a good start. Just like it was for me!!
