Ending sucked
It was totally unnecessary the way they ended it. I was so disappointed when two of my favorite actors were in this drama and the writers had to end it the worst way. They should have made it better to where people want to keep watching it. I have no desire to watch it anymore. I thought that this was going to be one of the best dramas I’ve ever watched to date but boy was I disappointed. They need a second season to see how they rekindle, and if he gets his memory back because that was a bunch of crap, and totally unnecessary for them to go to Africa, which made no sense. It was stupid. I’m really disappointed in the actors and directors. I will never watch another one from the Writer again. I am just baffled by what they did. And the extra ending made no sense. They need to have a second season to see how it rekindles and what happens. at least do a mini series of 10 or 12 something to give the viewers a happy ending that they should’ve had to begin with. I regret watching this when I was watching the first 30 episodes I loved it and then from episodes 31 through 38. Totally disappointed me that I regretted ever watching this. That Writer needs to redo the ending and do another season. That is my opinion in my review I would not recommend this to nobody do not watch it.DO NOT WATCH IT WORDT ENDING EVER ON A DRAMA!

Amazing show- until the last few episodes
This was a great story- great characters, great actors. It was beautiful. no real bad guys or villains, just two young people trying to figure things out. Then the last few episodes got really weird. The story took a hard turn, the plot totally changed and none of it made sense. I was completely confused as to how the story could even unfold that way- unrealistic and poorly done.So do yourself a favor. When they get on the plane to go back to Africa, just turn it off. Tell yourself that they lived happily ever after and save yourself the headache. That’s what I’m gonna do when I rewatch it.

It was so good …but then they should have stopped
This was good, and I really enjoyed it. Up until episode 31. Then it became more fragmented, and the story itself really weakened from mid-episode 32. So I was struggling wether to give this 7,5 or 8, but I let goodwill win and gave it 8 ⭐️.I’m not sure if this was filmed when Covid hit? If so, I can understand that parts of it became more fragmented. That is not really an excuse for those last 4 episodes, though. I won’t go into much more detail as to not give spoilers away, but I do understand why the episode rating declined steeply.
Brief synopsis, my POV:
Female neurosurgeon Ruan Liu Zheng volunteers to bring a patient back from Africa to China. At the hospital in Africa, she encounters her ex-husband, brilliant neurosurgeon Ning Zhi Qian.
Through flashbacks during many of the early episodes, we get to know their backstory, for example that she was head over heels on love with him, and married him swiftly after his girlfriend dumped him.
After she returns back home to China, she gets the possibility to gain experience at the more prestigious hospital Bei Ya. Her ex also returns to China, and is the main neurosurgeon at that hospital. He takes her on as his student. Is it because he feels bad for how their marriage turned out, is it because he believes in her talent, or because he has lingering feelings for her?
We follow their ups and downs, their light bickering, and unresolved past issues we can tell is lingering under the surface. Is it best to stay as professional partners, and find love with another person?
What I did like was it seemed quite detail-oriented when it came to the medical depictions. I don’t really have any clue, but compared to some other dramas this seemed to have really put in an effort to make it appear realistic and factual.
Some of the sidetracks felt unnecessary, and didn’t really add much (besides air-time?).
There was some things in the story that made me question it a bit, like what about Ning Xian when Ning Zhi Qian was in Africa in the first episodes? And I won’t even go into the last episodes…!
The acting was strong. Both Wang Chu Ran (FL) and Peng Guan Ying (ML) was convincing in their roles. It was fun to see how she portrayed the immature, timid young Ruan, and her more mature, confident persona. I also have a sweet spot for Li Zi Feng in the supporting role of lawyer Xue. Ling Chen as Ning Xian was very sweet, and I liked FL’s parents.
Do I regret watching it? Do I feel it was a waste of time? No, not really, but I really wish they had ended it a bit differently, and done so in episode 32.

Ending destroy the mood
A girl had fallen in love with a boy. She kept following him, and one day, she discovered something that hurt her badly. Consequently, she started distancing herself from him. However, they still got married. The boy, ML's character, struggled to express his feelings, leading to a misunderstanding and a breakup. After seven years, they reunited. Despite her initial attempts to ignore him, he persistently tried to reintegrate her into his life. The storyline included several unnecessary plots, such as his son's story and hiding her father's disease. The narrative also introduced a subplot about Africa, but it was briefly shown and didn't contribute significantly. The story concluded with the revelation of his amnesia. Unfortunately, these unnecessary plotlines diminished the overall interest in watching the narrative. Was this review helpful to you?

Let's back to the main topic the only problem of this drama is in the first half episodes you will get annoyed in the whole first half because of there past relationships and the personality and attitude of ML you ask why he's acting like that and i kinda feel bad of the FL because she's the one who always suffer the most, and the second half of the episodes the ML getting better bit by bit and there Relationship start progressing again and they soo cute together when they acting loveydovey it will make you repeat the scene again and again🥰 and what me annoy is they keep adding problem to the story and its so annoying. overall im quite shock to myself because i enoy watching this drama😊. OK, but disappointed with the ending
The first Chinese drama I watched was on going. The story is good with an interesting beginning but I had to pull my hair out when I saw the acting of the extras.but it's ok.
Next, this story goes on about the beginning of the two main characters meeting and falling in love. it's a bit boring here but I keep watching because I'm waiting for something interesting. I first knew about this drama from TikTok footage and was interested in the footage when FL and ML were at the same workplace, so I was looking forward to it.
In terms of storyline, this is good, I enjoyed it because there were small child characters which then added to the dynamics of the story, which made it even more interesting, but at the end of the story, I started to lose enthusiasm to see it, I think it was episode 28. because I thought it was too long and tiring to watch. followed.
therefore I took a break to watch it and returned to watch it after the drama finished.
That's why I skipped the last two episodes because I felt bored. Then you have to be disappointed with the ending of the story which is far beyond predictions and too forced. if it was over with them finally being together, that would be so much better.
Ost? I don't remember ever hearing a song in this drama
acting, I like ML's acting, but FL still needs to develop more, but in this drama I also like Wang Churan

Asking yourself "Why am I watching this" over and over again
To some people this show was great. However, this show took a turn and did not recover. It started out great. I loved the way they did flashbacks and integrated it into the current story. But then the story just created unnecessary drama that was not needed. For example, ML has an adopted son. They created the drama so his mom came back, and the kid (the mom abandoned him as an infant) decided to go live with her and ML gave the child back (WHY). A second example was the ML and FL going back to Africa (WHY). The drama started with them in Africa there was no reason to go back.
The ML gets injured and his family hides him from the ex-wife (WHY). ML has amnesia and does not remember their reconnecting and their journey (aka the whole drama) again WHY. I really struggled to finish this drama and ended up reading about the last episodes online because I was frustrated and annoyed.
This drama could have been so good if they made it shorter and took away some of these plots.

At first, I was all in for the whole doctor-in-Africa vibe, but as the series rolled on, the main character's personality didn't develop as it should've. It became clear he's got a truckload of issues and struggles with the whole love thing. I was smitten seeing him smile with Ruan and their adopted kiddo. But let's be real, the writers kinda lost their way in the details. On the flip side, Ruan had some solid character growth initially – she wasn't just a naive kid anymore, and I liked how her past wounds stayed open throughout the story. Now, about that adopted son – it felt off for him to be whisked away by his bio mom out of the blue, no legal tussle or a decent chat about co-parenting. Totally unnecessary and downright heartless. I called it quits on the drama because of that move. It just didn't connect in many ways.I was vibing with the characters and the whole dramatic setup, but there's no denying there were some serious hiccups in the production and script. Was this review helpful to you?

Pretty Good drama with a very nice insight on the lives of Doctors
First of all this drama is not as bad as some of the reviews say it is. It's actually gpt a pretty good story but I felt like it was dragged long a bit and it felt quite slow. The storyline is pretty average but there's good cinematography. The story has a very beautiful meaning behind it. Most dramas just show how they fall in love and get married and the end a happily ever after, but this drama shows the struggles after marriage. It also very nicely portrays the struggles faced by healthcare staff in their personal lives and their families. The cast have done a very good job at portraying their respective characters. The music is pretty good too, not my cup of tea but pretty good. Overall, although it's quite long its still very natirual and felt very realistic to me. If you're looking for dramas to binge watch I definitely recommend it! 🤵💔👰♀️🧠🩺🏥🧑⚕️❤️🩹👩⚕️Was this review helpful to you?

What just happened?
Finished all 36 episodes and have to ask "what the #@%& happened in the last three episodes?"Come on, writers, you can do better than that. You literally used the final 6 minutes of the final episode to wrap things up -- but didn't do a great job even then. Seriously, the worst ending to any C/drama I've ever watched.
The actors did a fine job with the script they were given. But the writing was sub-par. I don't have anything else to say but have to come up with 500 words for this review so I'll leave it as this -- watcher beware. This drama will make you mad at the end!

It started off great and then my episode four it just got horrible for no apparent reason it just made me sad that he had potential and became horrible. I do not know how this go "7.5 what that makes no sense I found the writers of this just got lazy and the middle of the show when they tried to make him come back as a rich guy it just was so cringe. It was annoying. I do not know what the writers was thinking, but this right there when she found out he was a CEO. It made her look like a Golddigger. It was not looking good because now if you choose him why didn't you choose him in the first place you choose him now I see became someone. More important and rich Was this review helpful to you?
