A fluffy innocent romance story with beautiful music and acting!!
If you need an escape from your hectic life this drama might be a good choice.Slow-burn romance coupled with a strong friendship bond that leaves you smiling all the way. At times it just gets too sweet and I will start stomping my feet. Something that I like the most is the meaningful smiles and eye contact between the ML and FL. It is filled with emotions (love and tenderness) that you can feel even without any script. The acting of the main leads are out of the world you can capture their emotions through their gestures and expression. Nicely done!
Good music is also a highlight, now only I got to know Tan Jianci has such a beautiful voice, and have added the OST sung by him to my Spotify...I am officially a Tan Jianci fan after watching him in two of his greatest works - Lost You Forever and Love Me, Love My Voice.
How can it be better? The starting is a bit abrupt to me but as you go on you will pick up quickly. The last few episodes can be shortened as they can be a bit draggy but you will be entertained by the sweetness of love portrayed by the ML and FL. In conclusion, it is a drama worth your time. I can't wait for the free episodes and went to purchase the express episodes on WeTV that is how good it is for me.

no storyline + great cast = total mess
This drama is really cute and enjoyable until ep 8 till they started dating but after this there is nothing more than continuation of gazing at each other , laughing , cooking and eating , dating . the male lead who is doctor and voice dubbing actor who did not even have time for his own sleep but has time for dating .This drama is more than unrealistic , a normal college girl got her idol as her boyfriend who is not only famous but also gentle , handsome , rich , knows to cook , he is in excellence in everything . i did not even like the fact that they fall for each other just because of their voices ,,,
I also don't like that female lead Always sees male lead as her idon not as her boyfriend and say yed to everything to him , i really do not like naive girls ...
as for the rest cast , all of these has a very easy going life like a dream with no hardships , in which although some has their company and are doctors but still they are free to do anything ...
although i like acting of cast members but it is a hollow shell in which there is nothing to watch , we are not watching dramas just to see someone dating and kissing ..
i love dramas which are quite realistic and shows true face of society and hardship ...
as a big fan of tan jianci , i try to hold myself till now but i am really disappointed ...lets see him again in future .....

Sweetness Overload and the Male Lead is a walking Green Flag.
From episode one till now it never disappoint me. Every episode made me blush. Grabe yung kilig, shocks. For me, this is one of my favorite drama. Grabe yung chemistry between the FL and ML. Tapos respectful pa si Male Lead. Nag uumapaw na green flag. Shy type si Female lead and that's okay. Cutie lahat ng cast. Hoping na hindi masakit sa heart ending nito. I don't mind the 33 episodes as long as bibigyan nila tayo ng happy ending. Mukhang ibibigay naman. Ito yung drama na hindi ako nagskip kasi worth it every second ng drama. If I'm not mistaken 22 si FL and 29 si ML. Cutie ng age gap. Watch niyo na guys.Sabay sabay tayong kiligin. ❤️Was this review helpful to you?

CHARACTER (FL) ANNOYING
I dont even know where to begin... MASSIVE GREEN FLAG, SO GREEN THAT IT FEELS UNREAL! Even though I love the actress, the FL character annoyed me sooooooooo much! She's stupid, childish, makes the wrong questions ALL THE TIME, inconvenient and not smart at all!I have lots to say regarding her... how come she is not willing to kiss him (on the wedding photo's day) which was a remote area but in the middle of the street, full of ppl she's ok with it? I understand her insecurities because of her age, but shes 22 not 12. She doesn't have a life goal, any wishes or accomplishments that supports his strong male behavior. The main male character is patient but too patient for me. Shes just a shadow behing him...
Lets talk about the Drama having 33 episodes that could be done in 10! Why sooooo long?! Sometimes it felt that i was watching the same episode twice..
The secondary character, acts like a child and he's the oldest, it doesnt make sense...
If I had to say... WATCH THE 6 PRIMARY EPISODES AND THE LAST 2.

EVERYTHING WAS SOOOO GOOD!
Everything about this drama is something that I always look for when I’m searching for something new to watch. The actors, the storyline, the music and the chemistry between everyone was so good. This drama is one of those dramas that I would definitely add to my list of rewatch over and over again. The male lead and the female lead was so good that I hope to see them both again in more dramas like this in the future. I will definitely be looking out for more of their works. And I’ll be rewatching this drama over again, especially re-listening to the music. Was this review helpful to you?
Nice feel good show!
I quite enjoyed this drama. I went in not knowing what to expect as I didn’t read the synopsis nor watch any trailers. I am a fan of Zhou Ye and Tan Jian Ci and have enjoyed many of their dramas. This one was no exception! What I liked:
This was a great cast. Everyone did well in the role they were given and both leads had a sense of realism that made you believe they were truly in love. Great on screen chemistry. I appreciate the versatility of the two leads. It gives them a chance to really show their acting range so they don’t become typecast in the usual drama types they go for.
I also enjoyed the OST. Many beautiful songs were sang and fit in well with the theme of the story. I especially appreciate the attention it paid to the profession of voice acting alongside of singing as it’s not something that is talked about much. It made me have a new profound appreciation for it.
Lastly, I enjoyed the overall story. It’s nice to see chill dramas that don’t have too much conflict happening. Gives an even balance to the highs and lows we feel with most of these dramas out here and allows us a chance to reset and prepare for the next drama. I loved the portrayal of all the characters and how normal they seemed. No whiny FLs, cold MLs, or strange plots that make you question the writers. This one was really fun and sweet. It was a beautiful love story but shows us that you can truly find love and build lasting friendships in some of the most unconventional ways and continue living a normal life.
What I didn’t like:
Although I loved the overall story, I still rate the story an 8.5 because there were some parts that seemed a little unreal. It was very prevalent with the FL being a little too reserved at times which sometimes made her seem more like a teenager in certain instances than an adult woman. She overall was very mature though. It is just a personal preference I have to see an adult woman act a little more adult-like but that is just my issue. Overall it didn’t take much away from the story because I still give it a 9.
This drama will not be for everyone. The story focuses on the day to day life of the characters. Some may say there is no real plot. If you enjoy the fluff/sweetness and slice of life dramas then give it a watch.

Nice slow paced drama but cringe
the drama itself is slow and easy to watch. if you are not looking for a shocking plot then this is the drama for you.i really love TJC thats why im watching this drama. i just personally can’t stand the FL in this drama. she seems to be all over the internet but when she’s with her bf she’s just all so innocent like a kid! I cant stand this. 🥲
the songs in this drama is amazing knowing that the songs sang by TJC himself makes it even better.
but tell you what, this drama is just a fantasy. 😂 a doctor so busy but got time to do dubbing (famous) and can cook. like so much time and so impossible for one man to do so much.
for TJC i completed the drama but I still cant stand how the girl is being overly pampered and so kiddy. not sure if this is her actual character. 😅

A most unrealistic drama
This is the most unrealistic drama I ever seen in my life. From episode 1 to 12 I am really enjoying it but now I am feeling very boring even if there is going on romance because the story has no base and it feels like a dream of a girl, in which she gets a boyfriend who has almost all of the qualities and all of their lives are so easy. for ex. Even the female lead is in college we never so her studying or going to library .In drama apart from smiling, travelling and eating their nothing else I have seen in past 10 days. And someone also said right that she did not see him as her boyfriend but still see him as her Idol.
Anyway I am dropping it because I don't think this going to be any change in this drama and I don't want to waste more time on it anymore

THE MOST TOUCHING LOVE BETWEEN FRIENDS AND LOVERS
This is the most recent drama that is really good with an inner feel of connectivity to it. The new dramas (especially modern romantic dramas) have no sense of connection and that has becoming bore and feels like no value to watch it. Sometimes personally I start watching and drop in the middle and start watching old dramas. But in this drama THE CAST IS PERFECT, THE COUPLES HAVE GOOD CHEMISTRY/PHYSICS OR BIOLOGY WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL, THE FRIENDSHIP SHOWN IS GREAT AND WE COULD CONNECT WITH THEM AND EVEN EMPATHISE WITH THEM. FROM THE MAIN LEADS TO THE GUEST PERFORMERS ALL WERE PERFECT.Let's say something about the drama now(ofcourse with no spoilers ;) )
- AWESOME STORYLINE
- GREAT DIRECTION
- GOOD MUSIC
- GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR AND LOVE.
Overall this is a drama after long time (in modern romantic dramas) that one can watch without thinking oh the her is not good or the heroine is not good or the acting is not good or it is too draggy etc etc etc. Let's all watch this drama and support the team from the production(back stage workers to actors) - okay? thumbs up if you will and thumbs down asking me to stop haha : )

A big fan of Zhou but not this drama. Story is too cheesy for my liking and even odd at times. The gap created between the leads was too large and some scenes even felt uncomfortable to watch...
***spoiler***
As someone who has not read the original, I can only rate the storyline based on the drama. The drama begins with a bus scene where the ML drops by the FL's personal chat group and comments about a dish. That scene alone threw me off as it felt almost predatory and raised immediate red flags. There are many scenes within the first few episodes that follow a similar pattern. ML sends direct messages to the FL or just randomly talks to her and shares recipes, asks what she is doing. To a certain extent, I can understand the FL's fascination and reaction to the voice msgs as she has idolized the ML for years but as the audience you can't ignore how odd this is. And once you learn about the age gap (in the drama), the messages almost feel inappropriate as if the ML is grooming her/taking advantage of her naivety as his fan.
As the drama goes on, it continues to shine light on the ML, painting him as the perfect boyfriend while muting the FL, focusing on her visuals only. And perhaps too perfect, the ML's actions and tone felt forced at times, making their interactions awkward and unnatural. The FL felt one dimensional with not much else going on in her life; the drama fails to portray Zhou's character's charms and achievements which is a shame. Another point of contention is that there's little to no explanation why the ML fell in love with the FL as he basically started pursuing her from the start with the random voice notes. The leads' love story lacked substance, with the ML feeling the desire to marry the FL on their first trip together when they barely dated was far from romantic and unconvincing.
All in all, I find the storyline to be too unrealistic and underdeveloped. It was an injustice to the cast as it was lacking in so many departments. The actors couldn't flesh out their characters as their story lacked so many details that were necessary. I am currently on episode 22 and plan to finish the drama but feel most would drop this unless they are a fan of Zhou or Tan like myself.
side note: I feel like Zhou played her character well given the script and restrictions to her character. Hoping Zhou will have better luck next time with her scripts and am looking forward to her future works in 2024/2025.

BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY
This is one of the beautiful love drama i watched after a long time. I strongly suggest you guys to watch this one. this is a story about few friends who are dreamers and they reach their dream through hard work. it showcased family love, friendship, loyalty and many other factors... watching this drama was worth my time....I really enjoyed female lead's family, she is the only girl child in the family of boys, they own a supermarket. and she is taken care by all of her 5 brothers, grandpa, and parents.
our male lead is so sweet, caring towards everyone like female lead, his friends, her family
this drama has one plus point that is their no evil characters all characters are lovable.
I also like multiple couples in this drama
IT IS SURELY WORTH WATCHING
OST another level
they used Chinese ancient music i liked that genre very much
BE SURE TO WATCH THIS ONCE

I don't know why I waited so long to watch this one
==Breakdown==Background plot - 15%
Romance - 70%
Misc comedy - 15%
Background plot - Interesting
Romantic chemistry - Cute, then great, then AMAZING
Misc comedy - Good
Production value - Good
In summary: This drama is for those of you who want to watch a low-stakes, low-angst, lovely and fulfilling love story where the main plot is the romance. If I had to compare it to another drama, I'd compare it to 'The Best Thing' with Zhang Ling He. Both stories are about green flag cinnamon roles who are the quiet, thoughtful type, love to cook, are both doctors, and both fall ass-over-ankles in love with the FL almost from the very beginning.
I think I was put off by some of the reviews that called this one boring or "no plot," ect. ect. The simple fact is, this is a love story and the love story is the main plot. The background plot is set against the world of voice dubbing and traditional / classic Chinese music, which I found interesting since-- other than audiobooks and video games-- voice artists in the USA aren't as big of a deal as they are in China.
But back to the main plot, which is the slow but extremely endearing love story between the two main characters. Again, like 'The Best Thing,' this is a slow burn (with even less angst than 'The Best Thing'). The tension between them hooks you right away; they don't really interact much at the start (in person), yet the tension is already there. When they get together, the romantic scenes are done very well, with actual kissing rather than those weird fish-kisses that dominate CDramas.
I have to take a moment to call out the ML, Mo Qing Cheng played by Tan Jian Ci. Goodness, this man's voice is incredible, and his eyes are incredibly expressive. I would say he's not conventionally super-hot (like Zhang Ling He's otherworldly, indisputable good looks). But, there's something about Tan Jian Ci that's. . . I guess the word would be 'sensual.' He reminds me of Luo Yun Xi. It's like he's constantly undressing the FL with his eyes (and not in a creepy way).
There's this one scene where (they haven't met in person yet) the FL and ML are voice messaging each other via phone back and forth. All he says (like, 4 times in a row) are different variations / intonations of "Mmm..." and it was the first time I've felt all hot around the neck just hearing someone say "Mmm." For real, it was magical.
Generally, I like Zhou Ye in most of her works and she did a good job here. Both characters were inexperienced romantically, but mature / practical otherwise, so the 7 year age gap felt very natural. As a complete aside, I do think Zhou Ye tends to pick the same character to play over and over, so I'm looking forward to seeing her in something with more grit (because I do think she's more than capable of rising to the occasion) thus I'm looking forward to seeing her in Legend of the Female General soon.
ANYWAY, if you want to fall in love with a love story without all the messy dramatic or toxic parts, this one is for you. Highly recommend.
