A really sweet and dramaless drama

It's been a while since I last watched a show so thoroughly, without feeling tempted to skip through some scenes to avoid the common misunderstandings and drama.
This story It's truly dramaless and simple. The main couple is really sweet and cute, and their relationship starts really early on in the show, around ep 9, although we do take some time till there's actual progress between these two.
I would say this is a really slow burn romance, becausr even tho they start dating quite early into the story, they do take their time to get to know each other and fall truly in love while on a relationship already.
I'm glad to say this drama has no second bitchy female lead to stir up so drama... honestly, there's nothing at all and I guess that's why I did give it a 10/10 review.
Although the story is really enjoyed and pleasing to watch, it does feel a little bland at times.
The fact that this was a slow burn did frustrate me a little, I mean, they take around 17 episodes to hold hands, 19 to share their first kiss and then 30 episodes to share a kiss that lasts more the 3 seconds. The first forehead/goodbye kiss was on episode 31.... I thought their progress was a little too slow at time, although it was exciting nonetheless and they did get more affectionate by the end of the show (between episodes 29 and 33).
All in all, it's a really nice show to watch, get excited, feel bad about being single and just freak out at the little things lol I wouldn't rewatch it tho, but then again, I'm not really one to usually rewatch things.

Good vibes only

TLDR: This show is the definition of straight wholesome vibes.

Overall: If you're having a bad day this is the show you turn on to give you the warm and fuzzies inside. The character chemistry is fantastic all around and I loved every relationship romantic or otherwise. Just watching them exist is a treat to watch.

Story: Not the point of the show. Literally just a vehicle to toss the characters into the room and watch them be super wholesome which is fine by me.

Characters: Amazing all around. Love both the FL and ML and think their performance here is incredible. Specifically the ML it is cool to see how different he is from some of his other role which is a credit to his acting ability. Their chemistry is amazing and watching them just be the giggly/bubbly honeymoon couple could not be more fun. The entire supporting case is fantastic and I love the Perfect's dynamic. They definitely give the vibe of a true group of friends who've known each other for a long time which is not always the easiest to pull off. Goes without saying but their performances are all great as well.

Can't say enough good things about the cast and characters. Just watch it and enjoy.

Music: lots of good stuff which is to be expected in a show focused on a VA studio.

Rewatch: High. Not going to be something you rewatch often I'd say but something to revisit every couple of months if you need that nice dose of comfort.

Love goes through the stomach

As a fan of Tan Jianci, I've been looking forward to this drama since it's poster release but it finally came the day to watch & finish it. Just as the headline suggests, it's more of a drama where they do talk about food rather than the story itself. Even so, in the first 10 episodes the story IT'S THERE, but going onwards they are trapped in their little world where there are no accidents, no problems, just love & happy life.

This is not a bad thing, especially if you like these types of genre where you'd rather enjoy the plot/acting/OST without any issue between the male & female lead. Yes, some of the parts of the story are repetitive, especially after they found out about each other, but it's one of the dramas where you can relax and not make theories. It's simply a fluffy, stress-free and the perfect series to bask yourself in some romance.

Let's talk about acting & clothing. Seeing Jianci with a calming, sweet look & loving eyes gave me a shock. This is because the past roles he had required him to be more serious, to be more expressive and even "act as a bad guy". Even so, I never felt like his acting here was stiff and had non-expressions, but rather it gave me light to see him in a different way and that these types of dramas could suit him as well. Others could call him expressionless, but pretty sure the director wanted him to act in that way and not be as a serious man. As for his outfits, I wish they were more fresh, in the first few episodes and as years passed he would dress more formal and stuff. Speaking of the female lead, Zhou Ye, I've always saw her in movies/dramas that had her act her either sad or as "fluffy" girl. Her acting was nice, no reproval, but her clothing was so bad here. Why did they dress the female lead as a female in her 35+, when she was just in her 20's? She had some good clothing on some of the episodes but as we went further it kept getting bad.

Other than that, "Love Me, Love My Voice", is a drama that you can watch without any problems, be happy through all the episodes. For sure, it could've been better than this, but we take what they give us.

This drama is a perfect choice if you want to watch a smooth rom-com drama

This drama truly impressed me by sparking an interest in ancient Chinese culture—from its music to fashion. Tan Jian Ci and Zhou Ye were excellent, and I loved that it skipped typical rom-com clichés like love triangles or childish leads. It was perfect in many ways!
Missed Opportunities
My main critique & the only flaw i think this drama had were the limited screen time for the second leads, Zhou Zheng and Geng Xiaoxing. Their chemistry felt wasted. I also wished for a traditional Chinese wedding and more presence from the main characters' parents+ fengyasong & Doudous. These omissions prevented it from being a perfect 10/10.
Despite these minor flaws, I wholeheartedly recommend this sweet and engaging drama. I binged it quickly, and it left me with that bittersweet feeling of saying goodbye to a good friend as i finish watching this drama as this was really good! If anyone read my review & you're a rom-com lover then i will say please watch this drama! Watching this drama will definitely be worth of your precious leisure time!Signing Off!🫶

UNDERRATED!!!!

This is such an underrated drama. You don’t hear many ppl talking about it, but it’s actually so comforting to watch. There’s no misunderstanding, no breakups, no drama. Just plain romance, found family, and such a good community for all the characters to grow up in. I loved it, it was so sweet. The only thing I would say is I think for there being no misunderstandings or anything, 33 episodes was a little bit much. Also, there were certain parts that were a little bit repetitive because the drama is so problem free. But overall, I LOVED their relationship and how healthy it was. This is literally everyone’s dream relationship and man.

Qiang Qingci being the name of the male lead is either really coincidental or planned. Tan Jianci being the main lead and his name sounds just like his character. I’ve watched like Hi6 with Tan Jianci and for some reason, his voice is so much deeper in this drama. I don’t think it’s dubbed for Qiang Qingci, which is pretty impressive especially with the singing parts. Tan Jianci’s voice is so beautiful. Same with whoever dubs Zhou Ye’s singing parts.

Tan Jianci and Zhou Ye both have such big doe eyes, which rlly makes their gazes really emotional and sweet. When they had the scene where Qiang Qingci was watching Gu Sheng sing at the 10th anniversary at Perfect Voice, their gazes were captivating. They’re both so in love.

Qiang Qingci is such a green flag, he can literally do everything. Cook, clean, sing, narrate, drive, and he’s a doctor too.

Why is this drama so cute? From the first episode, the love at first sight trope works in this drama. Usually, I don’t like it, but it’s so sweet. Both of them fell in love with the other through their voices. Qiang Qingci’s dubbing deep voice and then Gu Sheng’s singing voice at the supermarket.

They make each other so happy even if they haven’t met in person yet. Every time they talk to each other, their smiles are so big and genuine. Especially for someone like Qiang Qingci who doesn’t really openly express his emotions, his interest in Gu Sheng is really new and different.

Their first meeting at the recording studio was filmed perfectly. It wasn’t too exaggerated, but it was definitely emotionally reassuring. I’m also so glad that they were both happy with the other person, as they had coincidentally met before. Their gazes and eyes make other people feel like no one else is in the room and it’s just them interacting. Qiang Qingci is really caring too, making sure Gu Cheng feels comfortable.

I love all of their interactions. Them cooking for each other and the trip was so cute. They spent so much time together. Episode 17 where they were about to kiss…ugh I’m waiting for it. Qiang Qingci is actually the most unproblematic caring bf. The fact he’s never had a relationship but knows exactly how to care for his gf. His voice is also so soft spoken when talking to her. Gu sheng is so lucky. But Gu Sheng is also such a good gf. She’s always thinking of Qiang Qingci, I loved when she came over and cared for him when he was sick. So comforting.

Awwww…their first kiss was so cute in episode 19. It wasn’t anything special, just a peck, but for some reason, it’s one of the most wholesome first kisses ever. AUGGHH I CANT. Op. I spoke too soon. Their second kiss was pretty spicy. Against the glass door in public though…the tension lowk pretty high. Qiang Qingci’s breathy voice when talking during that part ahhh.

I also love the 2nd couple. Zhou Zheng is like the unexpected good bf that you wouldn’t think is a good bf. They’re lowk both shy and their interactions are really cute together. It’s like so awkward that it’s cute. Everything is like love at first sight for all the couples 💕
- Also though, Zhou Zheng made such a good point that I feel like a lot of people go through in real life. He was scared to start something because he didn’t want to jeopardize their friendship just in case their relationship ended. That’s such a big factor to consider when coming to terms with one’s feelings. Like, is it worth it? Would I rather have them as a friend instead of risk it? Or is it worth the risk? I loved that conflict from Zhou Zheng, it felt so genuine.

I also love the 3rd “couple”, Feng Yasong and Doudou Jie. They’re so unexpected, but their chemistry works so well. Doudou jie also deserves to be with someone caring and Feng Yasong is that guy. He’s like a little puppy but will take care of you. I wish we would’ve got to see more of them and their dating story. AWWWW…when he finally confessed and they just simply held hands in silence. They’re so cuteeeeee.

This is such a healing drama. When the rain was super bad and Gu Sheng was stuck in the supermarket, she didn’t want Qiang Qingci to worry, so she pretended like she was already at home. But, Qiang Qingci knows her better than that and figured out that she was still at the supermarket alone. So, he drove in the thundering rain to come stay with her to protect her and keep her safe. They both try to make the other as worry free as possible. This is what reciprocity should be like in a relationship.

The part when Qiang Qingci decided to step back from the spotlight of dubbing and singing, I actually got super emotional. I loved the way his last performance was portrayed. The emotion of all his years and time spent in this business and he’s deciding to let it go. The way he bowed towards the entire crowd and then stayed to watch every fan leave. He’s such a mature person and his perspectives of everything are always so caring and understanding of others.

Why was the proposal so nonchalant bruh? In bed, just talking. Lowk tho, the timeline is kinda insane. They barely met in person, have only dated for a little while and are getting married.😭😭 I mean, technically they didn’t confirm it until 2 years later, but he still proposed the question. But, when Qiang Qingci explained how he knew it was her voice..AHHHHHH. The way they met by complete chance and Qiang Qingci being completely in love with her voice when she first sang, literally, it was love at first voice.

OMG - Why the hell this drama was made. STUPID PLOT and Unrealistic. Grr........

"Love Me, Love My Voice" is a rom-com drama, but there was no drama. After I had invested my valuable time in watching 16 episodes, I decided to drop it and not waste any more of my time. I should have dropped it sooner, but I hoped it would improve because it is a slow burn. It turned out to be a big disappointment.

Tan Jian Ci played a doctor, Mo Qing Cheng, but in real life, he is a voice teacher named Qiang Qing Ci. None of his students knows what he looks like in real life except for Gu Sheng/Sheng Sheng Man, a voice student played by Zhou Ye.

This drama is so stupid and unrealistic in so many ways:
1. Mo Qing Cheng is a surgeon busy with his medical career, but the drama does not show his job as a doctor.
2. Instead, it showed his hobbies as a voice teacher and a cook.
3. The whole annoying drama is about his voice career and eating.
4. I was not impressed with Zhou Ye's character and the actress who portrayed her.
5. The on-screen chemistry between the main CP was not great. I like the 2nd CP better.
6. There was no drama or conflict between the main CP, which is annoying.
7. Tian Jian Ci is too short as a male lead. I like him better in Lost You Forever.

Why does China even bother to make this kind of trashy drama? I give it a 4.5 rating because of the stupid and unrealistic plot.

Utterly Childish.

I only watched this because I really liked Tan Jianci in Lost You Forever. I wish I hadn't bothered. Absolutely ridiculous story. A doctor with so much time on his hands that he can do voice dubbing and seemingly take time off whenever he likes! Also, the main leads are supposed to be 29 and 22 years old, but after officially dating for weeks she's still afraid to apply anti-mosquito bite cream to his arm. Please!
Now let's talk about the eating. The female lead is supposed to be a foodie. The male lead is also a first-class chef (as well as being a cardio doctor and a "god" of voice dubbing, so they eat, and eat, and eat. But she's still as skinnier than most cdrama stars are (and that's saying something) and never gains a kilo. The whole story is absolutely unbelievable. After LYF, I can't believe TJC would do something as awful as this.
Do not watch this series if you are older than 13.

Should've been shorter and sweeter

I have nothing against the actors, I've completed and loved them in their own dramas.
Zhou Ye in Word of honor and Scent of time, Tan Jianci in Under The Skin and Lost you forever 1.
Zhou Ye's character in this, Gu Sheng, is a composor who covers and arranges classic Chinese style music, she also sings and does podcast type shows.
The main ship first meet when Gu Sheng is in her chatroom and Tan Jianci's character, Mo Qing Cheng suddenly comes in and his voice tells her a recipe.
They both have online secret identities they use to voice and sing stuff, so there's alot of secrecy and it's basically a cheesy secret identity trope.
I enjoyed it at first, it was light, quite low/nonexistent bad drama, plus they were sweet together.
One of the main things I started to dislike about this drama was I feel it could've been much shorter. With how the story was feeling to me they could've had less faff and forgettable scenes and gotten the important story done in less then half of the 33 episodes this drama has.
The length and what the drama actually has going doesn't draw me in enough to commit to watching it all in it's entirety.
Another thing was Mo Qing Cheng was such a busy character, it felt almost unrealistic how much he was managing to do. His almost constant smiling and just in general people pleasing vibe made him feel almost flat. Compared to Tan Jianci's others roles this was my least favourite.
By the time I'd finished episode 13 I was starting to lose interest, the relationship had gone into secret meetings and almost kissing but being interrupted, a trope I didn't think I hated but in this it all feels so plain and so slow yet not slowburn.
In conclusion this isn't the worst drama ever but in my opinion it's a bit of a nothing drama. Could also be called too much of not alot or enough.
Was funny and sweet for abit but I don't want to watch all 33 episodes of it being this flat.

Insipid drama.

Boring, flat and monotonous drama. The plot is based on nothingness itself, they give us the love story of a Superman and an Invisible Woman, who speaks little, does little and only knows how to say "I don't have enough experience, I'm afraid of disappointing you And she really disappoints, she looks like an overly spoiled 10-year-old girl who dresses like a 65-year-old lady. There is no adrenaline here, there is no breaking point, no conflict, no antagonist, no tests to overcome, everything develops without taste, without smell and without color , flat, boring, sleepy. And indeed in the episode 19 I fell asleep and then abandoned this, it is absolutely not my cup of tea. It's good to have communication and get along but I want to see how this chemistry works when the couple faces a problem or conflict and this doesn't appear in the drama.

Lovey-Dovey Foodies with Chinoserie Songs in the Background

This is a slow paced, feel good drama with a high budget that paid for beautiful scenery, good camerawork and spectacular music numbers. Our main couple is a pair of quiet and talented people: a famous and mysterious voice actor and a promising young composer and singer. I had an amazing time watching the drama and listening to the OST afterwards. It made me want to travel to Guilin and learn how to cook more Chinese meals.

For my personal taste, I would have a like more dynamic in the main couple relationship, even without breakups is possible to make the protagonists struggle with outside factors - like disapproving family, unwanted suitors, etc - and grow as people and as a couple because of it, On Love Me, Love My Voice, everything happens kind of easily and our couple do not even sweat for it. Another thing that I would like was to have more screen time for the secondary couples, especially the tanned, strong but shy older voice actor and the bright, youthful protagonist's best friend. I could not imagine more different people but they were strangely appealing.

If you liked the voice acting theme, I suggest: I Hear You
If you liked the slow paced romance without breakups, I suggest: Love 020

Lovely romantic, musical, culinary and tourist trip

Very cute series, with the slow evolution of the relationship between a famous but anonymous voice actor (also a cardiologist), and a young FL, student, composer and singer online. The context essentially revolves around a dubbing studio and its team.
The story tells this very slow-burn romance (1st kiss episode 19 :), in a poetic, gentle and sensitive way.

PROS:
+ I love ML. He's the BEST boyfriend, attentive, respectful, handsome, talented. Green flag !!!
+ The voices are important and well highlighted.
+ Particular care is given to the images, the costumes (very beautiful, particularly the FL's dresses), the landscapes, the framing.
+ The OSTs are awesome
+ The storyline is gentle: no twist, no villain or love triangle, no break-up.

CONS:
- I don't think there is such a perfect boyfriend in real life :( :(: respectful, super devoted, ultimate caring,... and with the patience of an angel!
- The FL is a little bland. She's shy, OK. But her character doesn't "shine", doesn't evolve.
- some characters are excessive: the cousins' hyper-protection, the shyness of the undeclared lovers,...

=> Series which allowed me to rediscover Tan Jian Ci, whom I would like to see again in contemporary romantic series.

************************************************************************************

very boring show .

I really do not like the show because it has no story at all . two strangers who did not even meet each other , they just fall in love because of their voice . there is nothing except for messaging on phone , smiling at each other , eating food and traveling .
In this drama , all the casts life are so easy and unrealistic . the female lead character is also annoying because he sees Qiang qing ci as his idol not as his boyfriend whenever he tries to touch her she is so nervous i sometimes feel like he is harassing her .

story somehow feels like a dream story for a girl , as he gets a good looking , rich , simple , famous boyfriend with no fault , who can even cook and never dated before . i mean , is the writer living in her dreams ?

story has same faults as of love 020 and i have to drop both dramas .

because of lost you forever i have high expectations for tan jianci in this drama , but because of boring and unrealistic story i can 't continue anymore .. lets meet him in love has fireworks ..
