Sweet, fluffy & pure romance

This is a well done slice of life drama that focuses on family, friends and romance. It’s not a romcom or action flick, it’s mostly pure romance. Not everyone will be into this type of drama since it doesn’t have a lot of angst or a deep plot. It basically follows the lives of a group of friends as they grow and mature and find their way in life. I really liked it though, it was a refreshing change from your typical Asian drama.

The storyline
It centers around the dubbing and voice acting industry and includes a lot of music and singing. The singers and voice actors are exceptionally talented and a joy to listen to. They take a lot of trips to different areas in China that are very scenic and exceptionally beautiful. There’s not really any major plot or storyline to follow. It’s a slice of life drama that takes you along on their journey in life. It’s a very sweet fluffy drama filled with happiness. Oh and the male lead is a great cook and loves to feed his friends so be prepared for lots of cooking scenes. I was so hungry watching this drama, the food looked delicious.

The acting
I have no complaints about the acting, everyone did a fantastic job. There were no actors that annoyed me which was a pleasant surprise as there’s usually at least one person that I dislike because I can’t stand their voice or style of acting. But this entire cast had beautiful voices and amazing acting skills, I was very impressed.

The romance
Most reviews don’t address the romance which I think is crazy when reviewing a romantic drama. The romance in this drama was done perfectly. The main leads met casually and gradually fell in love over time. The romance grew organically and felt very real, they had phenomenal chemistry. There is a lot of skinship so if you’re into that you’re in for a treat. There is lots of hand holding, back hugs, cuddles, and tons of long romantic kissing scenes.

Overall thoughts
If you like to watch something wholesome, sweet and fluffy after suffering through a really gut wrenching drama full of angst, then this drama is perfect for you. While I love emotional dramas full of angst, I also like sweet romantic dramas like this because they balance things out and give me a much needed mental break. This isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but if you like sweet slice of life dramas then you’ll love this one. The acting, scenery, singing, dubbing, food and romance in this drama is top notch. I highly recommend it.
