Dafeng is worth it. ?

I accidentally saw the GOTD in some site and think that it is not the typical drama coz its so funny to me. Got to search about it and waited for it to be released.

For me Wang Hedi's acting in GOTD is so natural. The role is really meant for him. He's really good in fighting and action scenes. I really don't get the negative comments especially about his voice. He's improving and its good to see it.

Tian XiWei though she's not in every episodes but her crying may moved you. I love her crying scenes and how her character developed from every time she's on screen. And if you really look into the little details, you'll know why she's having that personality.

I also got hooked about the supporting characters. You gotta love them all to really appreciate the whole story. Though sometimes I forgot who's who when they have a little screen time but essential to the story. And yes there are flaws with some of the characters, but that's what they are just like in real life. Every person have different personality.

About the romance in the drama, again if you really look into the little details you will know how the romance progress. It's cute and subtle. I hope they show it more in season 2 if they plan to do it.

Comedic scenes are in every episodes especially when Xu Family are together and the Team Yang Yan too.

Overall GOTD is worth the watch and really like it. Story is really good, portrayal of the actors and actresses are really great. The Guardians and Realm Sect are badass! Song Ting Feng, Guang Xiao, Li Yu Chun, Nangong Qian Rou and of course Yang Yan you also have my heart.
There are more story to unfold so looking forward for Season 2. Hope they announce it soon and they maintain all the actors and actresses.

Laughing i, Laughing, be excited , and then laughing again

This is a story about fiction world. I just started To watch because of Dylan. But I find myself to watch every second.

First two or three episodes I thought princess is annoying. She acted like a child. And I thought how their relationship could be. It can’t be work.

Buut I was wrong. After she found her friend die she is so brave. Also I can feel her sadness. FL can show us to real emotion. I almost cried
Their relation is very nature . They didn’t make big action. Just fallen love. He thought she is cute and brave and then loved her.

I laugh every second to family scenes. they are so funny. also friendship is amazing. not just a bromance they also show man-woman friendship. so cute. His cousin is really drama queen. I watch him just like Qi An. Dylan’s character is so funny and speak very well. He adapted to world easily. it was amazing. I can’t wait to watch.

But now I am watching episode 33 and little bit angry. Because ML and FL don’t have screen time. We can’t watch our girl. They don’t see each other properly last 10 episode together. I’m getting annoyed. Where is she? She is in the dark. I thought after her friend died she will have her own story. But she just left. I hope they have more screen time.

I back to story again. I finished now and I love it. I am really confused Dylan’s best role is this one or Love Between Fairy and Devil. I can’t choose now. maybe I should watch Devil again. but for romance Devil is the best. I saw the rumor about season 2. I hope so .

I really want to see a man who didn’t show his face. It was very funny.
I also love women in the story. You can’t see weak women. All of them is strong even Princess.

From the moment This show was announced, It went straight up my watchlist.Fast forward to now, I’ve watched 28 episodes, and wow, what a ride it’s been! An absolute gem, delivering a perfect mix of emotions, action, and thrills. I am totally hooked and here' why ...

First of all, Dylan Wang. I mean, is there anything this guy can’t do? His charm, acting, and energy are on another level. Every time he’s on screen, it’s impossible to look away, fighting villains, or delivering heartfelt lines, he’s perfect in all .Honestly, he could just stand there, and I’d still be entertained.


2) This drama is literally serving a genre buffet under the sun comedy, romance, crime, action, suspense, thrill, friendship, brotherhood—you name it.

3) The plot flows smoothly with zero dull moments. The events are perfectly assembled, and the writing? Brilliant !!!!! especially the poetic dialogues and comedic sequences.

4) The entire cast is amazing, Not a single weak link. All the actors from his aunt to mentor are nailing their roles, and I especially love the female leads— such talented beauties all having a unique dynamic chemistry with Dylan.


5) The relationships in this drama, whether family, friends, or colleagues, feel so real and meaningful. The way his family goes above and beyond to save him during troubles even when that's not even his biological family , numerous times his uncle took a beating for me ..his aunt who was first so indifferent towards him gradually turned so warm and collected. His friends, always standing by him..~ loyal and unwavering ..and his mentor, willing to destroy the entire sect to avenge his 'death' —pure gold. This drama resonates all the bonds in a person's life so beautifully, making me feel lonely in my own life ❤️


6) Cinematic Action & VFX are dazzling lifelike, each sequence is grand and cinematic, making it a visual feast.Plus the choreography in action scenes ~ Mind-blowing.


7) Attention to Details in the set designing, is a chef’s kiss almost like pulling you right into the world of Dafeng.


8) The intricate styling and lovely costumes .. even when they were not very specially designed but still giving that genuine feudal era vibes and Putting the scenes in harmony with the characters enhancing the overall aesthetic of the drama


9) And the OST—don’t even get me started! I usually don't pay attention to songs but Common Men and Immortal Poet have been on repeat since I heard them.

So far so good.

This series is a breath of fresh air after a string of heavy, melancholy dramas. It weaves together suspense, humour, poignant moments, a yearning for justice.
Aside of XuQian who will fight for injustice fearless, I also like the supporting casts, especially gong gang, Wei, and Xu's family. Although princess LiAn's character may not appeal to everyone, she definitely has her own imperfections, I am fine with it as it is about time for a difference from the typical clever, scheming protagonists(mainly to protect themselves) . I, for some reason, find someone simple minded like princess Lian could have been a better partner for him, just like like his family, can bring warmth and happiness to him, Someone he actually likes, someone who likes him as well.
Overall, even though it has few fillers (e.g. misunderstanding on princese identity, which was like taking 2 episodes?) which can be used for more important story line, I still enjoy it a lot, especially I do need a break and some lighthearted amusement after a series of deep melodramas. It can be comedic at times, but not the over the top siliness, it evokes both tears and laughter. I find this show so captivating that I am refraining from watching other series concorrurrently until final episode, to dedicate my full attention to its story line and emotional journey that this series can offer. My youngest has also become engaged, a rarity among the other series I had followed before.

My personal favorite scenes would be:
1. XuQian vs the Avatar - it is brilliant
2. XuQian vs Zhou Li
3. XuQian vs Chu and the gong gang who tries to plead for him
4. Emotional moments of him trying to seek justice for bloody mascare and Zheng.
5. Funny moments and interactions especially from the Xu family members

Initially, I found the first few episodes a bit slow, but I agree that the story really starts to pick up as it progresses. The pacing improves, and the plot becomes more engaging, which is a relief!

One of the highlights of the show is definitely the humor. There are plenty of hilarious moments that had me laughing out loud, which adds a nice balance to the more serious elements of the story. It’s great to see a show that can mix action and comedy so well!

Dylan, in particular, had me praised for his acting chops. As fan I have noticed his growth and improvement, especially in comedic scenes. It’s always nice to see an actor evolve and really find their stride in a role.🌟
