Despite Ling Bo not being accepted by Ling Chao, he still visits Wen Hui from time to time. To avoid making Ling Chao uncomfortable, Ling Bo always leaves before Ling Chao returns home from school. Ling Chao notices this and cooperates by finding excuses to return home late or by going to Xiao Tu's house to avoid encountering Ling Bo. One day, Ling Chao waits in the park until it's dark, and he unexpectedly encounters Xiao Tu's father, Xiao Hai Shan, who has left home due to some trivial matter. The two men then find themselves in an awkward encounter. When Ling Chao sees that his father's car has already left, he prepares to go home. However, Ling Bo suddenly turns back. It turns out his father had gone to buy medicine for his sick mother. Reflecting on how his mother has been raising him alone for many years without showing exhaustion and rarely falling ill, Ling Chao realizes that he has been so absorbed in his own avoidance emotions that he hasn't noticed his mother's discomfort. He understands that his mother actually needs his father's care. As a result, Ling Chao takes the initiative to break the ice, and with his consent, Ling Bo finally moves back home.
