A fun and heartwarming story
Not only did this drama showcase a story of pure romantic love, it also highlighted the importance of forgiveness, friendship, and family. The story having a slow progress isn't actually a bad thing! As mentioned, the story presented various aspects of life that matter as much as having a romantic experience. The actors were generally good--with most effectively presenting various emotions that the audience could feel. The FL and ML were great at showing their contrasting yet balanced personalities. Their chemistry is great in my opinion!
However, I would just like to comment about the music not having much impact for me personally. They were quite good since I checked them on a music streaming platform, but sadly, I feel like the editors put only short clips in the show.
Overall, EFT is still a great show! It is for those who enjoy a light, fun, and cute story. Personally, I would love to rewatch it and I'm actually hoping that there will be a sequel. Congrats to the cast and staff who worked hard to make this happen!

The perfect drama to watch and forget about the world a little
I really enjoyed this cdrama, more than I expected. I thought it was going to be a low budget and a cheap drama, but it was really decent and touching.First, I enjoyed how the timeline of their relationship and life stages developed.
I thought it was cool that everything was natural. The FL started being a naive and childish little girl to become an incredible woman, but without losing her essence. I really liked that the character has matured, but who she is has just evolved.
The ML is ok. He is quiet and reserved, respectful, the typical clingy and super passionate boyfriend of these youth Cdramas, so, after all, nothing much different or special about him. Jun's performance was average, but he did well and surprise me in the marriage proposal scene. it was really emotional for me.
I thought the FL actress stole the show for her, this girl is super charismatic, lol.
The chemistry was great, I LOVED them together, not to mention the kisses and their evolution starting to have an interest in each other, the sexuality and desires topics were approached as something natural and not seen as taboo here.
Overall, "Exclusive Fairy Tale" was a great drama, but I really think that topics like harassment could be better addressed and seriously treated, and, of course, I would like to see a little more of their development at work.
I also missed finally having an inclusion of an LGBTQIA+ character in cdramas, as, in my opinion, Yin Zi Han is. It's pretty obvious that he spent his entire high school - and probably life, lol - being obsessed over a guy for no reason, and that fixation wasn't just a desire to prove himself better. Tbh, even the cdrama made a joke out of it, with the fact that he and Ling Chao they are "a match made by heaven".
Despite those things, i really enjoyed the experience and have nothing to complain about it. It's a good drama, I liked it a lot.

A fluffy lovestory
I was not sure how this story would be but it had friends to lovers trope and I am a sucker for that trope so dived head-on into the series. I was surprised at how engaging the content was. There's no toxicity in the series lemme tell you which was like woahhh for cdrama lol but it was one clean, wholesome and loveable series.Acting wise the FL did a great job and so did ML. Sometimes I did feel ML's acting could be improved but he wasn't a block of ice. The friends of both FL and ML were hilarious and had good comic timings so where FL's parents.
Story was fluffy and yeah at times at the end i was a bit confused with time skips but it was okay. However, I got major nostalgia watching the school days oh how I miss mine and the fact that I will never experience a love like theirs 🥲 that is from childhood to adulthood I think only lucky ones get this and I am not someone who is lucky in any way🥺
Anyway guysss go ahead because Ling Chao is a walking GREEN flag y'all. He raised standards. Also who doesn't love a wholesome story without much drama and mad SMLs trying to force leads apart. This is so gooood 🫶🏻

A perfect representation of youth
I have finally finished watching all the eps ?? but now im left with a bittersweet feeling. a beautiful happy ending. i miss them all already even the annoying chracters *cough*linglong*cough*. i enjoyed witnessing their friendship and their journey of youth. the main couple's relationship develop pretty natural and straightforward. not much conflict which i like. the 2nd couple are hella cute too.i wish it was a little longer tho since it covers from they're in highschool until they're adult so it felt like 24 eps arent enough to cover all that. there are times where it felt a little fast-paced.
anyway, overall i really enjoyed watching it. all the actors did an amazing job. the drama was light and fun.

two genres incorporated in one drama so well. i love how it was slowburn bc it actually showed how much the fl has grown as an individual person. although they were friends since birth, it did not hinder the fl from liking other people which was so realistic bc it showed that her (love) life did not entirely revolve around her childhood friend. she was still very much capable of liking other people and not sickingly stuck with one person. the slowburn may not be for everyone, but it was definitely NEEDED! i agree that there were some fillers that contributed nothing to the progression of the plot, but it was still something i enjoyed.
For the cast, i felt like a proud mom when i saw jun, mannn. since this is his first time acting again after svt debut, i actually lowered my expectations a little; however, he continuously exceeded more than what i've expected of him. he def still needs to take steps forward on acting, but he did well nonetheless. i wish he would get more acting projects after this, preferably those that would showcase his versatility.
zhang miao yi delivered like she always does. she embodied xiao tu so well. also, idc what anyone says, i love the second couple.

Exclusive Fairytale
So this drama started as a masterpiece!! Very addictive. So cute. I personally don’t like love stories started as siblings but because of Jun I forced myself to watch it and I don’t regret it. I like the female lead too. She is so cute and I love her almost every drama. However, there’s something that made me lose interest in this drama. The second lead couple.!!! It’s okay if you don’t agree with me, this is my opinion. The second lead couple cringed the hell out of me. Super cringe and I ended up skipping their parts!! Some might found that cute and adorable but for me it’s not cute at all!! It’s not normal!!! It’s cringy af!! Before this drama I watched when I fly towards you and its second lead couple was the best and unintentionally exclusive fairytale second lead couple was compared to wifty second lead couple and exclusive fairytale second lead couple is a huge no for me!! Overall, a good drama,,, soooo cute but because of the second lead couple it took some more days to finish it than usual!!Was this review helpful to you?
BEST/MOST HEARTWARMING PROPOSAL SCENE I'VE EVER WATCHED
this drama is one of the best chinese romantic comedy drama I have watched so far.I have watched several chinese dramas to say this.the plot is very refreshing and fun to watch. I really like ling chao and xiao tu relationship and how they complete each other. please do recommend me more chinese drama like this. not necessarily the childhood lovers trope but a story that would be so touching. The ending is not rushed and I enjoyed it but oh I wish that the drama has more episodes because I love the FL and ML chemistry so much! I just want more! Was this review helpful to you?

A Cozy Fairytale
I started Exclusive Fairytale after it appeared in my recommendations, but at first I struggled a little to fully focus on the story. I was already familiar with Jun from SEVENTEEN, and it took me a few episodes to mentally separate that image from his character in the drama. Fortunately, once the story settled in, that distraction completely faded and I was able to immerse myself in the narrative without any issues. One of the strongest points of this drama is the female lead. The actress is very expressive and easy to watch, with a soft voice that never becomes irritating. Her character balances sweetness with strength really well, she can be cute and gentle, but also serious, confident, and even a bit aggressive when the situation calls for it. That contrast makes her feel realistic and engaging.
The male lead keeps a calm and steady presence throughout the story. He is observant, quietly attentive, slightly teasing, and consistently supportive. His personality doesn’t shift dramatically from start to finish, but that consistency actually works in the drama’s favor, especially within a romance that focuses more on comfort and emotional closeness than on intense conflict.
What surprised me the most was how openly affectionate this drama is. The romance feels soft, sensual, and surprisingly bold in its physical intimacy, with far more kisses than I expected. However, they never feel awkward or out of place, instead, they add warmth and natural chemistry to the relationship, making the romance feel lived-in rather than idealized.
In terms of plot, this is not a “heavy” drama. Conflicts do appear, including family-related issues, but they are resolved relatively quickly. The story doesn’t dwell on pain or prolonged misunderstandings. Instead, it chooses to move forward, keeping the tone light and emotionally safe. If you’re looking for intense angst, this might not be the drama for you, but if you want something comforting, it works beautifully.
I did feel a bit of sadness for the second male character who harbors feelings for the female lead. His realization that he doesn’t truly have a place in her heart is handled quietly and maturely, which makes it more bittersweet than dramatic. It’s a small emotional thread, but one that lingers.
Another charming aspect of Exclusive Fairytale is how it follows the characters through different stages of life, from childhood and school years to adulthood. Watching them grow, drift apart, reconnect, and ultimately build a life together gives the story a warm, fairytale-like quality that feels earned rather than rushed.
Overall, Exclusive Fairytale is a gentle, romantic drama that doesn’t aim to overwhelm the viewer. It’s soft, affectionate, and quietly confident in its storytelling. A perfect watch for those who enjoy slow emotional development, cozy romance, and a story that lets its characters grow together without unnecessary suffering.
Final Rating: 8.0/10

cuteness overload
I started this series because of the female lead, but I ended up loving the male lead, which led me to appreciate Seventeen. Haha! The story was simple—best friends became a couple. Loving someone like a sibling, which eventually turns into romance, is a classic love story, but this series made it more interesting. I have always loved the female lead's acting skills; her goofiness is endearing, not annoying. I loved it, and it made me smile every time I watched her.
The story truly portrayed the meaning of loyalty and love. It was exciting to watch, and it kept me hooked—I watched and watched without ever feeling bored.

Fun to watch, if you have plenty of time
It is just an ordinary coming of age drama that was not leaving a big impression for me. I laugh a lot because of Miaoyi's acting. She really delivered well.Aside from that, nothing is special. But really, Miaoyi's acting is so fun to watch that I finally finished the whole episodes.
If you want to waste your time, it is really a good choice because it doesn't have any specific conflicts and as expected, a romcom that is so funny with a bunch of silly things around.
Thanks to this I finally recognize When I Fly Towards You. Because I am not a cdrama enjoyer, only a casual kpop listener then I found Jun having his drama aired and when I want to follow the hype, I discovered another gem. I have to be grateful to everyone who recommend me this drama afterall.

Its a good watch not bad but not amazing
I think this is a cute, comedic and lighthearted show I mainly watched for the lead actress and Jun. I think it's something to watch when you're like doing chores you don't need to pay full attention to understand what's going on. The best way I could describe this show is just :). Overall it's a good show and easy to watch, there are also a lot of cute kiss scenes. I don't think there's anything particularly bad about it.um I don't know what else to write and I need to write more uh watch it if you want it's good I mean I've properly repeated myself about 20 times but uh its uh good.

Ok, gotta admit, this was really cute. The actors did great capturing the innocence of children just being free I guess which was refreshing for me (bc ive been drowning in xianxia dramas lately hehe). The ending was great and although predictable (married and kids), nothing would have been better to conclude Exclusive Fairytaile. I decided to watch it bc of zhang miaoyi but then i realized the ML was Jun from SEVENTEEN bro like a kpop group. If uve read my bio im a little into kpop so seeing this was a really nice surprise. Exclusive Fairytale is one of the cutest dramas I've seen before, the plot is just really chill, just teenagers living lives with no excessive drama which I like a lot. there's no lack of juicy scenes and Jun and Miaoyi have really nice chemistry. Every episode has at least one hilarious moment which will get you rolling. This is a really "fresh" drama as I've seen others describe it as, and its very lighthearted and fun. The childhood sweethearts thing didn't click w me in the beginning, but as I watched I just really enjoyed it. It was a good time. I really recommend to anyone who needs a good laugh and a nicely lighthearted cute drama, with just teenagers living their lives. :) It really put a smile on my face.
