fantastic cast. story of missed opportunities.
can’t believe this series is finally over😫 my Wednesdays are gonna feel so empty again.Overall, I enjoyed this show. mainly for the actors and the chemistry. they really brought these characters to life and I couldn’t imagine another great group of people to play them.😌 I applaud everyone who worked on the show as well bc it’s not easy to juggle such a large group of actors all the time. this was a feel good slice of life story about friendship and going through the life experience of meeting new people and falling in love and what all comes with that. I think they did a good job with showing that.
although there were many things that could have been better developed plot and editing wise( as with any show) and bc this series was based on a novel, there was a lot of material they could’ve used to showcase these characters and give them more dimensions but just decided to keep it light and fluffy which is fine. not every drama needs a whole lot of unnecessary angst and tension. but there were still missed opportunities for emotional growth and I just feel like the directior did not use these opportunities bc he wanted to keep the show light and comedic. but overall I enjoyed it bc these characters made me happy and they made each other happy and there was just so much genuine love between them. 🫠
I came into this show mainly for pondphuwin and winnysatang but ended up being invested in all of them lol. that’s how good they were written.
All I can do now is wait for all these actors to get another series that shows their abilities even more because they all certainly deserve it☺️

Wasn't expecting to be hooked on this one
I waited a while after the series ended before writing this review because I wanted to be as objective as possible.Went into this with very little expectation, seeing that it was yet another university-friends-enemies-to-lovers series by GMMTV. I was expecting a recycled plot (i mean it's engineering students again...) and lots of cliche but ended up falling in love with the entire cast. So much so that i didn't mind the cliche "everyone ends up as happy gay couples" ending.
Sure it was cute and fluffy, and the acting isn't quite IFYLITA or ITSAY standard, but some of the dialogue were well-written and tugged at the heartstrings. There were also great comic timing (kudos to JJ, Phuwin, Poon and Pond) and replay moments in the scenes between the MLs. Was pleasantly surprised by Phuwin's and Pond's natural acting and their amazing chemistry, and loved the scenes where the friends just gathered and were there for each other.
The script was well-written and although i did find the last 2 episodes a little draggy, i thought the series was overall well-paced with just the right amount of romantic tension. Overall this was a surprising feel good series (especially if you're in between other serious dramas) that didn't overdo the cliches, had well written characters (and bothered to develop these characters), good dialogue and a balanced focus on love and friendship. Peem is just such a wonderfully written character that you wished was real, cos everyone needs a Peem in their lives.

I'm in love
I loved this drama so much. There really aren't many series I watched more than once in my life but this is one of them. You just fall in love with the characters - and you'll get jealous; not even because of their romantic relationships, but because of their friend group. The series is very wholesome and definitely a safe space, it's funny, romantic, and sweet. A Truly Lovely BL Among College Friends
This is a BL that emphasizes romantic love equally with the love that comes with great friends. There is little plot to speak of, but each episode is just a feel-good time. At the end of each episode, I kept wishing my college experience was similar to these kids and had romantic entanglements that were as healthy and nice as theirs were on screen. They had 4 BL couples, a record as far as I am aware. The show heavily focused on 2 of them, a 3rd one getting some good air time but honestly not enough, and the 4th one didn't come together until the last episode.The couples? Phum & Peem (actors: Pond & Phuwin), Q & Toey (Winny & Satang), Fang and Tan (Boom and Aou), and the last one is Chain & Pun (Marc & Poon).
For me, this show's real stand-out actor and character was Toey, played by Satang. He played the energetic underclassman to perfection. He was so adorable, kind of innocent, and mischievous at the same time. I loved every minute of him on screen. When Toey and Q finally get together, it is truly adorable. Winny & Satang were good in My School President, but they were even better in We Are. The series spent a lot of time on Toey trying to get Q to admit his feelings through a series of hair-brained schemes of getting Q jealous so he'd finally do something.
Tan was just....he was over the top with golden retriever energy. Fang was a reserved statue. BUT this is a great example of opposites attracting and balancing each other out. While Fang doesn't express his love for Tan frequently, the camera always shows us how Fang takes notice of Tan, of his actions and behaviors, and shows his affection through smaller acts of kindness. There is one scene in particular that shows Fang talking to Tan because he feels upset and isolated. Fang just needs to unload, and Tan goes from being a goofball to being a serious supporter and confidant. It is a small but truly beautiful scene.
Then there is the arguable main couple with the two most prominent lead actors. Phum and Peem were less interesting to me than Q & Toey or even Fang and Tan. But again, I couldn't stop smiling and laughing at Peem and Phum. Phum has this hard exterior, but he is often holding a stuffed animal when he's alone at home. Phum has a strained relationship with his father and felt abandoned when he was younger, so he has this harder exterior. But in the end, Phum is very soft on the inside. Peem doesn't want to fall for this "buffalo" but can't help it. I kind of wish they would get together sooner, but there really wasn't much of a barrier between the two of them. Peem was just reluctant to admit his feelings and get romantic with Phum for unknown reasons.
Now, the friend group of all of them, plus Toey's friend Matthew (played by JJ Jutamas, one of the twins at GMMTV) and Beer (Phum's best friend), was also really something to watch. Halfway through the series, Peem says how grateful he is to have them as his friends and that he loves them. When Peem is having a hard time or is disappointed, his friends show up at his bedroom door to hang out and watch a movie. Peem has a wonderful aunt and two loving parents, but he has his own chosen family that loves him like they would a brother. What I appreciated about this element the most is that BLs often take any emotional connection between characters and build it into a romantic plot. This is a BL that greatly emphasizes platonic love between friends just as much as the romantic and sexual love that comes with one's special someone.
Did the series need 16 episodes? Probably not, but I loved each one. I am sad to see the series over, even though it is longer than many BL series. It lacked the drama and breakups that come with your typical BL. This was a light-hearted good time from start to finish.

Classic college BL, but with PondPhuwin (๑ơ ₃ ơ)♥
PLOT: Two groups of students in different departments of the university, one with Phum (architecture), the other with Peem (plastic arts). Phum damages the painting Peem was supposed to exhibit, and Peem retaliates with a hard kick. Phum demands that Peem be his "slave" for some months as compensation. During this time, they will form bonds, even fall in love. Tan (in love with Phum's brother) is the link between these two groups. Friendships and two secondary romances.+++ Pond and Phuwin (๑◔‿◔๑), handsome and very cute. Pond has a very natural acting style, but Phuwin always struggles with intimate scenes. Alas !
+++ A bunch of excellent actors. Boom is very handsome and shines in this series.
+++ Coherent, believable, but very classic story. Effective and well-done direction.
+++ Excellent OSTs (especially the duet sung by Pond & Phuwin (ოර⌄රო)).
### I don't understand the behavior of some characters: Toey in particular (sometimes Tan), excessively childish and capricious. He's 20, not 6! Is it supposed to be cute ?
=> Feel-good and comforting BL. Nothing revolutionary, just classic but enjoyable.

I had a fun time
Oh how I adore PondPhuwin. I really enjoyed this series, I thought they did a great job of showcasing each couple and their storylines. I think the story itself was lacking a bit, but the actors did such a great job that it didn't bother me that much lol.I wasn't sure what to expect and honestly started watching this drama solely because of Pond and Phuwin and I fell in love with the other couples along the way. The chemistry between PondPhuwin and AouBoom is undeniable. I wish we got more of Aou and Boom's storyline, I freaking love Tan and how obsessed he is with Fang. I didn't expect basically all the side couples to get together before the main couple even admitted their feelings, but we still got all the cheesy cute moments from all along the way.
This is not a deep story by any means, definitely don't have to do a lot of thinking, but it was fun!! I had a good time, I felt the love, I loved the big group of friends. Overall I think this series has a very high rewatch value for me personally, I am already missing Phum and Peem.

Not Special, But Somehow Stole My Heart
I started this series after Me and Thee purely because I wanted to see PondPhuwin’s chemistry here. Funny enough, this is actually the only PondPhuwin series I skipped before lol. I randomly clicked it on some random Saturday and honestly, it’s not some mind-blowing, life-changing show, but it’s the perfect mealtime watch. Comfort, easy, never boring.This series is very much about love and friendship. Romance is there, yes, but the friendships are just as important, and that’s what makes it charming. I think this might be GMMTV’s first BL with four pairs, which felt pretty fresh. That said, I do think the pacing could’ve been better. If they trimmed it down to around 12 or 13 episodes, the story would feel tighter. Because there are so many episodes, we get a lot of kissing and love scenes… like, I’m not complaining but some of them could’ve been cut down a bit lol 😂
Things I realized while watching:
1) I could NEVER survive a situationship like PhumPeem. Nope. After the first kiss, I’d be like “okay so what are we” immediately. I don’t have the patience for that emotional limbo.
2) At first, I kinda cringed at Toey (Satang) because the last series I watched him in was My School President, where he was all cool and nonchalant. Toey here is the total opposite, super childish. But after a while, I got used to it, and honestly, this just proves how good Satang is. He made me completely forget his previous role. As for Winny, his character feels pretty similar to what he’s done before. I’m not super into QToey as a pair, but THEIR OST??? Insane. Every time the bgm comes on, I’m instantly smiling and blushing. It’s way too sweet.
3) MY PRECIOUS TANFANG 🩷 I came for PondPhuwin but stayed for AouBoom. I genuinely didn’t expect their chemistry to hit this hard. Their characters are adorable, their scenes feel so natural, and I always find myself waiting for them. They make me smile like an idiot. I couldn’t move on from them, so of course I went and searched for their parts in the novel (yes, I’m obsessed). TanFang feels very close to AouBoom’s real-life dynamic. If you’ve read the novel, you know how big and romantic Tan’s love for Fang is, and Aou portrayed that perfectly on screen.
4) ChainPun is peak slow-burn, friends-to-lovers. No big drama, just quiet feelings growing between people who already care about each other. Simple, soft, and honestly my kind of trope. I pray for this kind of love someday, right after TanFang lol.
Overall, the series is really nothing special, but somehow it still charms my heart and makes me soft for their story and friendship.

Cute
This was very typical GMMtv and I loved it. Nothing spectacular happened and no real drama but there were some cute couples and funny scenes. Pond and Phuwin are one of the cutest couples.This series actually had 4 couples and 3 friends. So, the series included 11 boys. That’s a lot! I never really felt much romantic chemistry (maybe from Pond and Phuwin) but the rest just came across as good friends. I was most surprised about Satang. His character was completely different than his character in My School President. He’s a good actor. And I couldn’t get enough of him saying “P’Q”!
Thailand is so beautiful and there were some gorgeous places they travelled to.
Watch this if you want fun and no drama.

A Very Comforting and Fun Watch!
Every Wednesday since this starting airing, I constantly looked forward to a new episode to come out.This series may have had quite a few flaws in the story as well as screen time and moments among each of the couples being quite unbalanced with each others, but even though I really loved watching this and what we got from the finished series!
This series gave me so much comfort and it’s definitely a more easier watch when you don’t really want much drama and lots more fluff and comedy! I laughed a lot throughout the whole series and rewatched scenes/episodes several times because of how much I loved them.
The fact that this series ended has really got me feeling down since the cast and the friendship displayed in the series gave me so much happiness… I hope another one can get me feeling this way soon!

Why was this so fucking cute
My heart absolutely can not take this 😭♥️ I adored Peem and his side eye looks and his sassiness. So much!!!!! PondPhuwin stole my heart and I loved the cast as well. We Are.. The Best
First of all, It’s been a while since I last watched this but what I loved that this series is actually realistic, Phuwin’s acting felt so natural (The only thing that wasn’t was their kissing scenes coz i really dont think he can kiss). Like Phum and Peem were just actually college students who like each other. There weren’t that much drama, that’s why this is my comfort series. There were only misunderstandings that actual young adults that are in a relationship experience. It was a smooth ride with just little bumps. AouBoom was surprisingly cute even though they Aou’s character make me cringe sometimes T___T. I liked all the side characters, especially Q & Toey’s. I ALSO WANT A Mentor/Senior X Student/Junior love trope! 😩I loved the ending too. It was so touching coz they finally became what they wanted to be after graduating. So overall, I rate this a masterpiece a 9.5

Very Cutesy
Highly recommend for those who want to watch a cute university BL with little to no drama. BUT I do not recommend it if you are wanting a serious and drama-filled plot.Amazing portrayal of healthy relationships, both romantic and platonic. I wish to see more bls like this in the future.
The acting was amazing, and I found the little animal sound effects fitting for the show.
My only real complaint is the screen time each couple gets. PhumPeem gets the most obviously, BUT my issue is that couples like TanFang and especially ChainPun, barley got any, didn't even kiss until the end which was a bit annoying, and imo the show should have either had a few more episodes to even out the screentime, or cut a few of PhumPeems scenes, or shortened them to fit the other couples.
