Outcome didn't match the potential

GOOD at the beginning
OKAY/MEH in the middle
GREAT towards the end

Probably the most interesting feature of this series is the uniqueness of the plotline: two young men waking up in a different universe in different people’s bodies. Where have we heard of a BL like that? It’s my first time.

The series started off well, with Ohm (Tess) and Nanon (Pakorn) and their undeniably strong chemistry and acting skills, as well as Jimmy (Puen) and Sea (Talay). In all fairness to Jimmy and Sea their duo is screaming refreshing chemistry. The plot is unique and well thought of.

However, I lost the “waking-up-in-a-different-universe” and “I’m-a-different-person-in-this-body” vibe. When Puen and Talay woke up in Pakorn’s and Tess’s bodies, it seems that they just lived their lives like that. Everyone was noticing weird things such as not being familiar with stuff in the different universe or not remembering their loved ones, but no one was wondering. To me, it did not feel that authentic because who would not be wondering why they can’t remember their parents or the things they used to do? I lost the vibe of the plotline that made me want to watch the series in the first place.

Talay, for example, woke up as Tess. Talay is a timid, gentle person who is focused and driven, while Tess is carefree and troublesome, but no one wondered about those changes in Tess after Talay being in his body.

Also, it would have been more convincing if, at some point, we could see the original person’s appearance once in a while, like what we saw in Cupid’s Last Wish when the character appears to be the original person sometimes. That made the plotline real and strong for me. It would not be that bad, I guess, knowing that Ohm and Nanon have excellent chemistry.

I would have liked to see more of getting familiar with the different universe just so it would retain its vibe. Instead, after the first two episodes, the series became just like the other series that have happened - falling in love, having funny friends and having tiny and shallow conflicts. I did not feel that eager to watch the next episode quickly because in the middle, it felt like just the usual Thai BL.

But in all fairness, it became really, really good towards the end, like in episodes 8 to 10, when it began touching again on Puen and Talay’s quest in going back to their universe. It added meaning to the way the series ended. It was great when Puen came back first to their universe and began looking and waiting for Talay. And when the latter came back, it did not become relatively easy for them to be finally together, especially realizing what and who Puen is in their universe. I also did appreciate the way they used the symbols such as the pink color, the garden cafe, etc. which made everything meaningful until towards the end of this series.

Jimmy’s acting can still be honed. There were times when the emotions required of him is not quite there yet, but he was off to a great start. Sea, on the other hand, is a surprise to me. His acting is good. He can be both funny and dramatic. Amazing!

Overall, it’s an ‘okay’ watch. Besides the interesting plot, the rest can be easily forgettable. But if we’re talking about the feeling ‘during’ watching, it’s good for overall entertainment. I’m excited to see Jimmy and Sea in their upcoming series.

magical, domestic and one-of-a-kind show that feels like coming home

my all time favorite BL show. it certainly has its flaws such as the abundance of ads and some completely unnatural and somewhat annoying little interactions throughout the show, but all of this doesn’t ruin the show for me.

“Vice Versa” is an incredibly good mixture of magic, love and destiny, and i adore how well the concept of both universal traveling and soulmatism is done. i fell in love with the show’s premise and atmosphere ever since episode one and i binge watched it in two days just because i was so immersed in it. the amazingly portrayed characters and their heartwarming relationships, a huge ton of funny little moments and cute scenes and, most importantly, the insanely stunning cinematography. i loved the side characters and their ways of interacting with one another, and little cameos of several huge GMMTV stars were so pleasant to watch.

i rewatched this show many times, and each time felt like coming home. no matter how many new shows i encounter, i will always stick to “Vice Versa” :)

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PARALEL UNIVERSE LOVE STORY

Series ini gue tonton persis setelah gue nyelesaiin LT dan pernah liat juga di recomended series ‘if you love this you will love this’ dan series ini disandingkan sama The Boy Next World.

Dan lucu nya disinilah pengenalan gue sama OhmNanon, its a crazy ride wkwk

TALAY STYLING AND PUEN STYLING HERE ARE LITERALLY MY TYPEEEEE I LOVE THEM

Favourite scene obviously their first meeting, the way they just clicked and the way Puen kinda flirting with cute innocent Talay AAAAAAA IM GONNA KMS-

Konflik yang terjadi juga banyak dari internal, krisis identitas, kemauan atas kebahagiaan satu sama lain, belum lagi betapa desperate nya mereka buat balik ke universe asal mereka.

Rollercoaster feeling nya menurut gue pas dan detail di beberapa scene yang menurut gue epic, kayak screenwriting Puen di universe non-thai jadi kenyataan, and the way thai universe has that glass house to be their meeting place after came back, THE WAY PUEN HOPING SEEING TALAY BUT TALAY JUST FREEZE AND THEN CALL PUEN WITH ‘AI DANG’ JUST LIKE HOW TALAY TELLS HIM ITS GONNA BE THE FIRST THING HE SAYS IF THEY MEET ON THEIR REAL UNIVERSE AAAAAA

A LOT OF HAND PLACEMENT THAT I LOVE, ESPECIALLY WHEN TALAY IS MAKING THE CONE BREAD, DOMESTIC AF, AAAA IM IN LOVE

Anyway yap, its make me love JimmySea hehe

A Dreamy Multiverse Romance That Redefines BL: Vice Versa

Vice Versa is one of those BLs that quietly walks into your heart and ends up staying there forever. The whole series feels like stepping into a soft, colorful universe where fate, love, and destiny are all tangled together in the most beautiful way. Watching it honestly felt like going on an emotional journey with Talay and Puen two souls who were never supposed to meet, yet somehow became everything to each other.

The multiverse concept is handled so uniquely. It never feels confusing; instead, it's like the show is telling us that love can find you in any world if it’s meant to be. The way Talay slowly adapts to the new world, and the way Puen becomes his comfort even when nothing makes sense, made their relationship feel so natural and real.

What I loved the most is how the series balances romance, growth, and self-discovery. Both leads don’t just fall in love; they become better versions of themselves because of each other. Their chemistry is so gentle but powerful—every look, every small touch, every moment feels meaningful.

Visually, the show is stunning. The colors, the cinematography, the transitions… it all feels like a dreamy painting. Even the OST fits perfectly, making every emotional scene hit harder.

And the supporting characters? They’re not just background noise. They make the story richer, bringing warmth, humor, and depth to the journey. Without them, the universe of Vice Versa wouldn’t feel complete.

Overall,
Vice Versa is a BL that teaches you about love, destiny, second chances, and trusting your heart even when the path is strange. It’s unique, emotional, beautifully acted, and honestly one of the most magical BLs I’ve ever seen.

Romance (Not) Fantasy

I maybe biased bc i love Jimmysea, but honestly, it's better to treat this as only Romance Drama, not a Fantasy Romance Drama, because the fantasy of multiverse is just an additional spice to this story.
The casting is superb. I understand that some people might say Jimmysea is still awkward, but for most of the time they act their heart out here.
Both Jimmy and Sea's acting is very natural and enjoyable espescially when they interact with each other. And the eyes.... don't even get me started.
There are a lot of times that i even have to pause when i saw how they looked at each other.

This might not be their strongest portofolio, but it IS a strong start for both of them.

VICEVERSA

I honestly didn't think that this series was going to be so good, actually just after watching 5 episodes I dropped it,about 1 year ago.
Only today, after seeing JimmySea in Last Twilight,I watched and realised that this is a piece of ART.
It really made my standards for series so high, like the cast, the plot, the chemistry between the leads...were just...AMAZING.
Let's not also forget the hard work of the staff, because the coloring, the aesthetic, the makeup, the styling...were really PERFECT.
I will never shut up about this series being soooo good and I absolutely recommend this series to everyone, because it isn't only a series that has romance and friendship, but it also teaches you a lot of deep things without overpowering.

Absolutely ridiculous

I'm probably a bit biased because I HATE body swap tropes.

The whole showing the viewers their original physical forms (talay/puen) while the characters in the film only see their new forms (pakorn/Tess) was extremely annoying for me and I couldn't keep watching. I wish the people from the different universe could atleast see eachother in their original forms while people from this new universe are the ones to see their new forms. It would make this so much better. I couldn't get it out of my head that it was nanon/ohm falling in love and not Jimmy/sea. Why the hell wouldn't puen tell talay his real name🙄🙄it would be so much better for their love story. Anyways I just can't deal with this transmigration or body swapping bs it's hard for me to wrap my head around the characters falling for a different physical appearance 😂😂. Long story short I hate this bl. The chemistry is also bad and I blame the script writer for everything because what the hell is this😭

Absolute Perfection

Now... there is only one episode but I‘d say that this is definitely one of gmmtv’s best bls. I have quite a few reasons for why. ((Excuse my bad grammar))

THINGS I LIKE/ENJOY
1. SOUNDTRACK || music choices are absolute perfection. They’re calming, fun, and just enjoyable to listen to.
2. CHARACTERS || Absolutely hilarious, they’re all chaotic and embarrassing (in a good way) they make it a really enjoy able watch.
3. ACTING//ACTORS || Mwah, chefs kiss. I love all the main cast Jimmy, Sea, Ohm, and Nanon. All of them have absolutely stunning visuals (especially Jimmy lol)
4. STORYLINE (this is where I’m a bit “biased”) || I absolutely adore switching bodies//body transmittion ,or whatever it’s called, books/shows. They’re cute, help characters understand each other, and are always chaotic. Making this (in my opinion) one of the best storylines//genres to exist.

THINGS I DONT LIKE//HATE (continuation of being biased lmao)
1. “CONFUSING” || The show itself does indeed explain why/what happens. Not how it happens though (it’s only the first episode so keep that in mind) Maybe the show might be able to give a deeper explanation that would be great. There are so many people that have said it’s confusing to the point where I’ve lost count. And yes I understand they’re being introduced to a new show that might have a different plot then what they’re used to.
2. PEOPLE THAT HATE THE SHOW BECAUSE ITS “CONFUSING” || now, I have seen soooo many kinnporsche “fans” complain about this show cause it so called “confusing” which I understand of course, some people need some time to learn about show’s plots and stuff -which is 100% okay- HOWEVER, here’s the catch. Most of them are 27-30yr old white women that fetishize mlm relationships. And they don’t like it because they don’t fck in the first episode or just because the actors are apparently “ugl”.. yes I have seen them say this on tiktok and other platforms so pls don’t come at me. People may have their own preference for things but please DO NOT bring your preferences into these shows just because they don’t have exactly what you want, plots, visuals, and everything else.

EXPLAINING THE STORY LINE FOR PEOPLE WHO MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND (ALTERNATE UNIVERSE)
Talay (Sea’s character) is a colourist - someone who adjusts colours for films - goes to a beach one day with his friends to celebrate, and ends up passing away. A while later he ends up waking up in a alternate universe and in a different person’s body, Tess (Ohm’s character) He is overly confused and doesn’t realize what happened when he happens to run into a nurse that tries to help him. She explains that to Talay that the only way he can get back is by finding his portkey. And there Talay goes to find his portkey while trying to understand Tess’s//alternate universe. (Hopefully this makes sense and that my grammar isn’t too bad)

- thanks for listing to my mini rant about this show lmfao, have a nice day//night :D

VICE VERSA EP 1 : I LOVE YOU SEA

This is one of the best dramas out of the many BL dramas I've watched so far. Sea's acting is very good, I really like it (10 out of 10) and he's cute, i like him. Even though it's still at the beginning of the episode but the acting is perfect, I like it and the chemistry between him (Sea) and Jimmy is pretty good. Besides that Jimmy's acting is also very good, and the acting of several actors such as OhmNanon and other actors is also quite good. I love this series, can't wait for the next episode.

A história simplesmente ignorou eles?
