Bad, overall. First of all, this is 100% love triangles and ex-drama. I minded less because the two leads only have feelings for each other. It’s just other people that one-sidedly like them. But 3 people in love with Daonuea? Seriously?Khabkluen was a piece of shit. Seriously.
First of all, he’s as emotionally stunted as a rock. He’s liked Daonuea the whole time. He liked him before Daonuea confessed to him back in high school, but rejected him for absolutely no reason. But he lets Daonuea believe he has a girlfriend. He runs after said “girlfriend” and prioritizes her when in the middle of an emotional and important conversation with Daonuea. He refuses to answer when asked what he’d do if he had to choose between his ex and Daonuea. He refuses to verbalize his feelings when Daonuea tells him he likes him or makes it clear that his feelings haven’t gone anywhere. He tells Daonuea to date someone else then gets upset that he does. Like…what? All this drama created for no reason. What was the reason, motivation, or logic behind not verbalizing a single damn thing when he had every opportunity and no obstacles? Daonuea is upset and ranting at Khabkluen, he’s emotional and needs a response, a conversation, something…and Khabkluen just stands there in silence like a brick wall. ALL THE TIME. The way I would actually go insane.
Second of all, there is zero consent. Daonuea is upset in the bathroom, and Khabkluen comes in and kisses him, multiple times, non consensually. Daonuea shoves him away, multiple times, tells him no and is vocally upset, but Khabkluen keeps going in again and again. If you didn’t know he’s supposed to be the lead, you’d think he’s the villain that the lead is going to step in and save the other guy from. That’s not all though. He later non consensually kisses Daonuea again, stops when he’s shoved off, but then goes in for a non consensual hug where he’s once again shoved away. Once they get together, he goes in for a surprise kiss so Daonuea has no time to say no or react, and he jerks back in response. Then he reveals that he KISSED DAONUEA IN HIS SLEEP because Daonuea had said he liked Khabkluen while sleep talking. Wtf??? Typhoon also noncon kisses Daonuea and gets punched by Khabkluen for it, but honestly, the scene wasn’t all that different from what Khabkluen himself did. We get a couple consensual pecks / dead fish lip presses in the finale, but that’s about it.
There’s more, because when Daonuea is upset and storming off, he chases after him and tries to stop him from leaving by grabbing him and standing in front of his car. When Daonuea is shitfaced, he chooses to sleep with him in one twin bed when he could have easily slept in one of the 3 other beds.
Not to mention that back in high school, he was in a long term relationship with a girl and dumped her after gaining feelings for Daonuea (who he’d never actually spoken to, btw). Just the act of gaining feelings for someone else while in a relationship is infidelity of some sort in my mind.
And him and his ex, they’ve got some kind of weird, way too close to be just friends but also not romantically involved, relationship. The ex clarifies that they’re just like siblings now, but I’m sorry, if I’m in an emotionally tense conversation that is going to determine whether or not things are going to work out with the love of my life, am I going to 1) pick a call from my ex-girlfriend, 2) run out to immediately meet her and make said love of life wait, 3) tell said love of life that they’d have to adjust to my and my ex’s relationship and that asking to choose between them is ridiculous?? Granted, the reason he ran out was because the ex has been a victim of DV, but I promise you that no matter how much I loved any of my friends, I wouldn’t react in that way and put the supposed love of my life so far below them in priority.
Honestly, people were annoyed and Daonuea for dating Typhoon but I don’t blame him. He only gave him 24 hours, he didn’t pretend to be happy or loving or anything other than the miserable person he actually was, and he was upfront with Typhoon about his feelings for both him and Khabkluen. And Khabkluen had just made it abundantly clear that his ex was a bigger priority to him.
I will say, every character in this show takes rejection well. If someone says they’re not interested, they accept that answer unless they’re explicitly given reason to hope for otherwise. No stalking or harassment to be found.
I really didn’t want to keep watching after episode 6 but I powered through. The HEA came too easy after all that manufactured angst. I didn’t enjoy the HEA after all the bullshit, especially the abundant noncon.
The finale set up for the second series in the same universe, featuring a guy that’s very hung up on his ex-girlfriend who just got married. He still has her as his phone wallpaper. Needless to say, I won’t be watching.

Really great chemistry and a cute story
It was nothing extraordinary but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It was sort and sweet. The chemistry both on and off screen was overloaded. Acting wise I must say Dunk needed alot of improvement. Joong was very good in his role. The cast pulled it off pretty well. The cinematography and direction was perfect for the cute story. Plot wise it didn't have much to offer. It was very one dimensional and character development in general was missing. A good series to watch if you just want something to accompany your boredom or meal time.

"An emotionally lightweight BL"
A type of BL series that has a good story, too bad the expressions of actors are not really showing and they somehow lacking in portraying their character. The casts are good especially the main actors and I'm waiting for more onscreen chemistry of JoongDunk on their next BL projects.
Overall, it is something you can enjoy and if you're not a fan of heavy and tear-jerker dramas, this one is for you.
"Meet me at midnight"
"Staring at the ceiling with you"
"Oh you don't have to say to much"
"When the morning came we"
"Where cleaning incense of yours"
"Vinyl shelf cause we loss track of time again"
"I have this thing when I get older but just never wiser"
"Midnights become my afternoon "
"When my depression works the graveyard shift of all the people"

The entire plot could have been avoided with a ten minute conversation
This is one of the most generic BLs I have seen. I honestly had no intention of watching it, but after seeing Joong and Dunk in other shows, I decided to give it a shot. It was extremely predictable, with drawn out back-and-forth conflicts that didn't actually help build the characters. If Joong and Dunk's characters would have just sat down and had a conversation, the entire show would have been avoided.Daonuea (Dunk) confessed his feelings for Kluen (Joong) in 11th grade, and with no response from Kluen, Nuea went on his study abroad trip for 12th grade and tried to forget about it. That is, until the two reunite their freshman year of college. Trying to forget about the confession, Nuea pretends to have not known Kluen, but it seems the feelings are still lingering. When others start pursuing Nuea, he's torn between trying to move on and staying true to his own heart.
Thank god this show was only 8 episodes, because it took forever to get anywhere with the plot and if that was drawn out any more I would have dropped this. The only reason I didn't rate it lower was that the relationship does become very sweet and cute, and that part is fun to watch. However the miscommunication and constant "you should move on and find someone better" got old SO fast, and I think the entire first 6 episodes could have been condensed to two, and the couple could have had some more interesting challenges when they were together. Instead, we got a very stereotypical show that didn't really do anything new, besides an ending that clearly just wanted to set up a sequel. This is probably only worth watching if you're a fan of Joong and Dunk and are waiting for a new show from them....

An Easy to Watch Sweet Romcom!
This was a solid romcom. It was sweet and easy to watch. The story is simple, the romance is easy to root for, the characters are likable and adorable, and the short episodes make it even more enjoyable.Daonuea confessed to Khabkleun back in high school but got rejected and went abroad. A year later, they cross paths again at university, this time as roommates.
I genuinely liked all the characters. Daonuea is sweet and cute, while Kluen is kind and definitely a green flag. Thypoon was a good addition to the cast and not toxic, which was refreshing. Pong and Ne brought in some fun moments, and Tingting looked stunning with her pink hair. I also appreciated how Fah was protective of his younger brother, Daonuea. It added a nice family element.
The plot is very straightforward. You pretty much know what to expect from the start, and that makes it very easy to get through. It’s the kind of show you can relax to without needing to overthink anything.
As for the acting, I can understand why people say Dunk couldn't act. His performance here wasn't great, especially during the crying scenes. I actually had to hold in laughter at one point. That said, he’s definitely good-looking, and I think he has improved because I didn’t notice the same issues in his more recent roles. Joong was a bit better, but still had his stiff moments. Personally, I don’t mind weak acting in romcoms if the overall vibe is fun, and in this case, it absolutely was.
I also got curious about Fah and Prince story, so I might check theirs even though the actor is not the same.

Just an average school drama
I have to say out of the star and sky series this one is not my favorite in my opinion because I liked Sky in your Heart better because the chemistry was there and they were absolutely adorable and I was obsessed with Prince, but in Star in my mind there wasn’t really that much chemistry it was just a normal college drama that you see in every day life. Plus even though I love Joongdunk this drama was not for them because I’m currently watching Heart Killers and they are so good. I will warn that there might be spoilers and be aware. The plot was just a normal college drama that you see in Thai BLs, which is you are either and engineer or your competing for the Freshy Star and you need to pick the hottest or cutest boy in your major. I feel it focused a lot on that because Daonuea was chosen and Khabkluen was also chosen, but it was also known that they are enemies. It was hilarious when Khabkluen and Daonuea were cuddling and when Khabkluen got woken up and Daonuea was still sleeping and he acted like it was normal when they got caught by Pokpong. I will also mention Typhoon and his major one sided love towards Daonuea like as much as he worked hard to get his love and he didn’t get it because he’s supposed to end up with Khabkluen was actually sad, but he did work hard. Also that ending was something because it ended with Khuafah who is Daonuea’s older brother getting in a car crash because he was drunk driving and it just ended like that. Like I was so shocked, but I guess that’s how you’re gonna start Sky in Your Heart. Also I loved the 5 minutes of Prince because I could already tell he was gonna be someone good. Overall, in my opinion I didn’t enjoy this as much as I liked Sky in Your Heart, but it was enjoyable at some times and if your a fan of Joongdunk because of Heart Killers and if you like school dramas then I definitely recommend this for you.

Very average
I will say I almost rated this very biased just because i am a huge joongdunk fan but once actually completing this series it really didn’t do much for me.i think both joong and dunk have improved a lot with their acting and honestly i don’t think either of them were terrible in this series to begin with but i can definitely see an improvement. unfortunately the story was boring and really didn’t make sense. it’s another miscommunication trope but the miscommunication was soooo bad that it just didn’t make sense. Kluen couldn’t have told Dao from the beginning his liked him back? what was the point of meeting in college and STILL not telling him his feelings but just beating around the bush. It was almost the exact same premise as their other series Hidden Agenda. I unfortunately feel like they’ve both been typecasted as these same characters consistently among all their series. However, at the time of reviewing this I have been watching their more recent series The Heart Killers, and though their character tropes are essentially the same it fits better with this storyline compared to this drama. Joong’d character is always the guy hiding his feelings and playing too cool, while Dunk’s characters are always the one being straight forward and pinning after Joong’s character.
Typhoon was very annoying and weird in this series. I felt like he couldn’t take no for an answer and was just very weird and pressuring Dao to reciprocate feelings he knew weren’t there. Dao also sort of toying with Typhoons feelings at one point too was also very gross, especially since he was so upset about the girl confessing to him and he was afraid of hurting her feelings. Though he apologized to Typhoon later it was still very unusual since he cried so much about it earlier. Also, Fah. Didn’t like his character. Why was he always calling and being needy and weird?? I knew they included him so much for the spin off series but it felt out of place and he was just annoying more than anything.
I’d say overall this wasn’t a terrible watch, it was easy enough to get through but it definitely had its flaws and wasn’t the best series ever by any means. I would say it’s a nice casual, short series to binge. As for rewatch ability… not there for me. Granted, most gmmtv series are not normally ones i’d decide to rewatch even if i liked them more. probably just due to the fact they are constantly coming out with new series and multiple with my favorite ships.

Doce e cativante

Was this review helpful to you?
3. Valor de Reassistir (10/10): É o tipo de série que você pode revisitar quando quiser algo leve e reconfortante.
Pontos a Melhorar:
